    Everything about this game was just perfect. Gameplay, storytelling, level design, sounds, visual effects, graphics, optimization. I blame myself for delaying this game to play.     What a whole different beast of a game from the previous God of War games and in a completely grand direction. This game has everything. The storytelling is better than most movies. The graphics and weight of everything is gorgeous and it just works. The story is so fantastic and a huge eye-opener in the direction of where God of War has gone.     The combat is probably some of my favorite combat in a 3rd person game. The axe just works and feels fantastic. The upgrades of body armor and the styles of how they look.     God of War is probably one of the best games I've played. One of the few that not only entertains children's minds, but even develops knowledge about Scandinavian and ancient Greek mythology. The most brutal and most cruel god, who killed all the Greek gods, including the main god of all Olympus, Zeus, has a child under the name Atreus. And the whole story that we will do, travelingGod of War is probably one of the best games I've played. One of the few that not only entertains children's minds, but even develops knowledge about Scandinavian and ancient Greek mythology. And the whole story that we will do, traveling through all 9 worlds, the boy will grow up with each of his choices.     [Note: This is the only/first God of War game I have played]

    Gameplay: Everything controlled very well. The addition of the Blades of Chaos halfway through really added to spice up the gameplay. I did however prefer the axe and wouldn’t choose the blades when I had a choice (opposed to needed the blades since others were immune to the the frost axe) I did learn to like using them later into the game. The use needing to switch from the axe to the blades in the final baulder fight was really fun and a great idea. The “boss fights” were amazing. As for using Atreus’s arrows, once I obtained the shock arrows I only used those and not the light arrows in combat though, using them worked very well. Once I found runic attacks I liked using I never really changed them out for different ones. And they were normally the fist ones I got. I didn’t do the side quests during the main story although I may go back later (I just finished it) since I had a great time playing the game. [Updated note: Ive been playing the side quests and they’re really fun] The puzzles were great. There was never a dull moment. Mimir’s storys in the boat were really nice to listen to. I started waiting right by the dock for mimir to finish his storys.

    Story: Kratos and Atreus’s relationship coming closer was beautiful. Freya acting like a mother to Atreus was great to see. The end was beautifully done and really fulfilling. I really enjoyed it, so much. I haven’t wrote much on it but that’s not because I don’t love it so much. There was so much emotion in the story that I just ate up.    … Expand

    I have not played the original GOW games. But I think that this is a great attempt to keep an old franchise alive and give it a modern game.

    The game itself is outstanding. I can see the care and the elaborate details that make the game lovable and beautiful. It is not my favorite but I really enjoyed and it captivated me in it's world.

    no fue hasta esta entrega que llegué a la saga, juegazo la verdad, si que es verdad que los bosses son muy repetitivos pero es que tenían planeado continuar con su sequela y darlo con todo en esa entrega. Este juego es como la base de Ragnarok, la beta se podría decir.

    Santa Monica in my opinion never missed in a God Of War game, and this game proves it. The gameplay is so damn fun, amazing graphics and story, compelling characters and I cannot wait to Ragnarok coming November 9th!

    La verdad es que, sin lugar a dudas, se trata de un videojuego que lo tiene todo. La historia es simplemente increíble, y durante el transcurso del juego podemos sentir todo tipo de emociones, ya sea tristeza, ira, algunas que otras carcajadas.... Y todo esto es gracias a los personajes que aparecen en él.
    Por otro lado, nos encontramos con un videojuego completísimo, en donde disponemos    La verdad es que, sin lugar a dudas, se trata de un videojuego que lo tiene todo. La historia es simplemente increíble, y durante el transcurso del juego podemos sentir todo tipo de emociones, ya sea tristeza, ira, algunas que otras carcajadas.... Y todo esto es gracias a los personajes que aparecen en él.
    Por otro lado, nos encontramos con un videojuego completísimo, en donde disponemos de infinidad de misiones secundarias, coleccionables y diversos enemigos que derrotar, y en dónde las mecánicas son bastantes diversas y variadas, aunque en algunos casos esto hace que sea difícil hacer uso de todas ellas y aprenderlas es complicado. Finalmente, respecto al apartado gráfico y artístico, me parece una obra de arte, ya que luce en todo momento de manera espectacular.

    Cons: - Dificultad muy mal calibrada. Normal es demasiado fácil, difícil demasiado difícil. - Demasiados sets de armadura que sabes que no servirán para nada. Al principio del juego se vuelve un    Juego muy divertido de jugar y conseguir el platino. Puro entretenimiento.     - Historia mediocre con lore un poco manido y poco original.

    - Muy pocos jefes realmente espectaculares no antropomorfos.
    - Poca variedad de animaciones en movimientos finishers.

    PROS:
    - Gráficos espectaculares.
    - Sucio, violento y sangriento.
    - Diseño de escenarios impecable.
    - Diálogos divertidos en muchas ocasiones.

    Es hat ein paar wirklich tolle Story-Momente. Aber nicht die erhoffte Wucht nach all den Lobliedern.
    Finde es zu sehr in die Länge gezogen. Die ersten 3-4 Stunden fand ich so schlecht, dass ich es erst ganz lassen wollte, dann nahm die Story etwas Fahrt auf. Insgesamt Zu oft ein repetitives Spielgefühl, unterstützt durch die gleichen Animationen. (Ganz krass z.b.    TLTR: Das Spiel ist gut.

    everything about this game is beautiful the story, combat, environment, characters and storytelling are one of the best in gaming. if you haven't played this, I highly recommend buying it.

    I love this game a completely revamped game but still the same Kratos story was amazing combat was even better then in the original God of war I glad you don't fight the word serpent

    its a pretty decent game yet i have no idea why it was considered game of the year worthy it just isnt good enough to be such highly acclaimed but yet again the game is still a good play even if a bit boring at times

    Amazing combat and keeps getting better while you play it with an interesting story. If it had more enemy/boss variaty and a proper level design could be a 10/10.

    God of War is a special type of game, one that from start to finish keeps you invested, if not with its brilliantly written and grand story and characters, then with its brutal combat. The environments are so intricately designed and beautiful that half of your playtime could be just taking it all in.
