    When it comes to Sucker Punch games, I've bought all their projects. From Sly Cooper and their trilogies in the Playstation 3 and also all of their Infamous games. Now, Ghost of Tsushima is, by far their most ambitious game to date. It's been a while since I felt hooked on a game, no matter if I played 3 hours straight and afterwards I lay my controller down, I find myself thinking aboutWhen it comes to Sucker Punch games, I've bought all their projects. From Sly Cooper and their trilogies in the Playstation 3 and also all of their Infamous games. Now, Ghost of Tsushima is, by far their most ambitious game to date. It's been a while since I felt hooked on a game, no matter if I played 3 hours straight and afterwards I lay my controller down, I find myself thinking about the game, searching videos online and engaging myself in discussions online about the game.

    The world is widened, vivid, colorful and filled with side quests and beautiful decor. Side quest characters are blended in to the main story. Combat feels fluid, bloody and exciting. The guiding wind mechanic is pure genius, giving us consumer immersion, no mini-map, just a gust of wind to guide us to our destination. And also, this game has the fastest fast travel in any game I've played in recent memory.

    The story of a samurai, with deep moral values, becoming the savior ghost of the island of Tsushima is a game that common people would brush off as another Assassin's Creed rip-off, but Sucker Punch proved us wrong and brought us an exciting exclusive to the Playstation 4, a swan song for the console and what a way to close the cycle. It's not a perfect game, no game is (maybe the first The Last of Us, but that's my opinion). It has glitches, bugs and SOME missions get repetitive, but overall it's a solid game. I can see myself reminisce my time playing this game in the coming years and how enjoyable it was playing it. One of the best exclusives the Playstation 4 has to offer.    … Expand

    Great game, played about a half of it. Atmosphere, battlesys, exploring, right theme of justice, all this aspects perfectly fits me. Worth buying!

    It is heart breaking to see that a masterpiece like GoT has only gotten an aggregate score of 83 among the critics reviews which is not the score it deserves at all. The 9.2 score among almost 18000 reviews from User score reflects perfectly how players feel about this game. GoT is fantastic, an amazing achievement from start to finish. It's one of the best games I have ever played and isIt is heart breaking to see that a masterpiece like GoT has only gotten an aggregate score of 83 among the critics reviews which is not the score it deserves at all. It's one of the best games I have ever played and is only the 4th game I have ever platinumed in my life (2 others are also Sucker Punch games, shows you how much I appreciate this company). The critic focuses on the fact that this game is another sandbox game that is being tossed out to us every few months, etc... But this is not true. Sucker Punch has perfected the formulae and not one moment in my 100 hrs playthrough have I ever felt bored or wanted to stop. I always had this urge of wanting to know what's coming next.
    The combat is excellent and the more you play the more you will perfect your moves and technics. You have a large arsenal of Ghost weapons at your disposal and I felt the need of using them all during my encounters with the Mongols. They are all useful and needed in different situations. The stealth sections are very well implemented and fun, not tedious at all, and the different equipment you find throughout your journey (mainly armors) are needed for different playstyle. You'll have to use them all. The Skill tree is varied and assigning the right point to the right skill will make a lot of difference.

    The world, Oh man the world. What a wonderful island Tsushima is. The Graphics on the PS4 which is a 7 years old hardware are the best you'll ever find on last gen console. It is unbelievable that the PS4 can still achieve this level of details in 2020. You'll have to see it to believe it, provided you play on a 4k UHD TV, and on the PS4 Pro (my settings).

    The Story:
    The story is great and engrossing from start to finish. It tells the tale of a young Samurai who has to struggle when his island is being invaded by ruthless Mongols (I think in the 11th or 12th century) and their merciless leader Khotun Khan. Naturally, the story has a lot of twists and heart breaking moments that I won't spoil. However, it is very well written, well acted and captivating until the end. There are a lot of side missions that aim to show you the torment of the people of Tsushima during the invasion and they are all interesting. The game has hundreds of collectibles in the form of Fox Den to be found, Banners scattered around the world to collect, lighthouses to be lit, and dozens more. All of them reward you with different equipment/perks/skills etc.. They are interesting and equally important to find.

    The loading time is the fastest you'll ever find on a game of this scale on the PS4. In a matter of seconds you load from the start screen to the game. And during the game it is even faster to reload if you die or want to fast-travel. it feels like a next gen game. I don't know how Sucker Punch were able to achieve that. But this is also an indication of how much the game is polished and runs well. Bugs are almost inexistent and the game had never crashed once during my playthrough.

    tl;dr
    I highly recommend GoT. It is a highly polished, well written, well made game with fantastic graphics and an amazing world to explore. If you like open world games where you will sink dozens of hours of your life, do not hesitate and buy GoT.    … Expand

    The pure look, the beauty and detail of this game! Coupled with pacing, joy of exploration. It's an amazing treat. Sucker Punch perform wizard levels of magic with the load times too, superb.

    Probably the best game I’ve played so far. My current number one, right next God Of War.
    Graphics impecable, story very enjoyable, gameplay realistic, combat professional. Can’t say anything negative about it

    I wasnt excited for this game, cuz the gameplay didnt look interesting enough in the trailers. I was suprised when i played it myself it was so much better then i expected. Speaking of AC that’s what GoT will often get compared to and for good reason from a gameplay perspective with the stealth and movement feeling familiar (which makes the “the stealth is the worst” reviews nonsensical as there’s not a lot of difference aside from a variety of new skills). Whilst it does retread ground in that regard it isn’t really a clone of AC more just “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” with them building on things like combat which plays as one might expect in a samurai game and is executed better than the loose combat controls of recent AC games.

    I thoroughly enjoyed the story, interesting characters with their own personalities and goals with good performances from the scanned cast who lend their faces and voices to the roles. I think most people knew what to expect from the story and it delivers on that front. Unfortunately we do have TLOU 2 fans leaving negative reviews who are just bitter that their game dropped the story ball compared to the first, pay those reviews no attention as they probably didn’t even play it. The critics and fans score this game highly which suggests it’s more a negative reaction of spite than a sincere opinion. Ghost is what it is, it isn’t “defining new boundaries of storytelling” (which TLOU2 really isn’t, if anything in 2020’s social climate it’s very expected and predictable) Ghost takes a narrative of old, a tried and tested formula and still manages to deliver an enjoyable experience.

    It’s an easy ten for me, definitely one of the games I’ve enjoyed the most this year and will be one I keep going back to with runs on higher difficulty and using the Kurosawa mode which locks in the Japanese dialogue and olde film screen effects. Look forward to seeing what Sucker Punch have for us on the next gen.    … Expand

    One of the best combat systems ever. This is what Assassin's Creed should have evolved into. The open world is a little empty, repetitive, and generic, and I wish the game was a bit more challenging and you didn't become overpowered so quickly, but it's a fantastic overall experience. That combat!!!

    I was honestly on the fence about this game. On one hand I love the stoic nature and history of the samurai but on the other I am completely burned out on open world games. (I am a completionist)

    I went into this game with a bad attitude. Within the first couple of hours the game won me over. There is a certain magic quality here that this game and it’s creators have weaved together.     A quality that transcends stunning graphics & gameplay loops. It’s a feeling like no other.

    This is definitely one of those titles you need to be in the drivers seat to understand. I too checked out streamers and YouTube reviews but they could not convey it’s true essence.

    I would say 9.5, but here I give it a 10. There is no such thing as a perfect game, but this is one of the best in the genre. If you are into open-world, action RPGs - this is a must. And certainly the best samurai game I've played so far.

    A few AI quirks and some fidgety camera positions hold the game back from perfection, but the world, the characters, the epic tale, and some of the most fluid blade-to-blade combat ever seen in a game more than make up for any shortcomings. This game is gorgeous and crazy fun to play.

Да, где-то может хромать техническая составляющая (в первую очередь лицевая анимация в кат. сценах), но при этом нам дарят просто невероятные по своей красоте виды древних земель Японии. Откровений в геймплее и исследовании тоже нет, но все сделано так как должно быть и все эти элементы работают правильно и в нужных местах. Призрак Цусимы, по моему мнению отсылает нас к старой школе, когда выходили самые знаковые игры которые были не без изъянов. Однако они были настолько хорошо сделаны, настолько имели свое уникальное лицо и шарм, что игроки легко списывали некоторые недоточеты и просто наслаждались добротной игрой. Призрак Цусимы это одно из самых впечатляющих и самых красивых приключений с пронзительной историей в этом году.

    By far one of the best games I have ever played. The story and the pacing of both main quest and side quest with the sporadic secrets and things to uncover felt better than any other game to date. I never once wanted to put the controller down I always wanted to see what was beyond the next horizon or forestland. Truly a masterpiece.

    I just finished the game. I don't want to write a wall of text here. I loved this game. The graphics in the higher graphic mode is just breathtaking. I loved the atmosphere of the game. it felt also refreshing not to have the feeling that an agenda is being pushed on you like it is being done by many game developers nowadays.

    This game does nothing new but it takes all the existing elements and binds them to perfection. This game just took a spot on my top 5. This one just can’t be missed. You have to play it. The visuals are jaw droppingly good. Combat is smooth. Story is awesome. Overall the game has an amazing vibe. If you have a PS5 then this game plays and looks even better. Feels like    A MUST PLAY!!

    Oh, this is a masterpiece. This is what an open world adventure should look like. Beats Assassin’s Creed in every single way: graphics, storytelling, combat system, world design, you name it.

    I just love it, finally we can play this 60 fps on PS5 and it's stunning.

    Is it as perfect as Red Dead Redemption 2? Not really. To me it's a 96/100 which still is a 10/10. I really doubt it'll be GotY once Cyberpunk dropped though. Still an awesome game that I'll donate another 100hours of my lifetime to.

    Not sure what crap some of the critics reviewing this game are on but for me it's a clear 10/10 and big GOTY contender. Stunning graphics, supersmooth, streamlined gameplay & combat + one of the most atmospheric games I-ve ever played. Add a fun story and gorgeous open world exploration and you got yourself a masterpiece

    Amazing, beautiful, and fun. Sword-fighting never gets old! This is quite possibly my favorite game of all time. It ranks up there with Breath of the Wild and the Batman Arkham series. Brilliant. Thank you so much, Sucker Punch, for this gem of a game.

    By far one of the most fun and visually stunning games I have played in a long time. Ghost doesn’t try to reinvent much but instead of breaking something that’s not broken they refine and perfect a lot of things within the sub genre. Videos and streams do not give the visual impact of the environments justice until you play it yourself. Defiantly one of my favorite games of the year.

    For a long time I wanted a grounded samurai game and finally Sucker Punch gave such a game. Yeah the game has rough edges but as a whole package it's a dream come true for me. The Island of Tsushima is mesmerizing. It made me really want to visit the real Island one day.

    I absolutely love this game. It is now firmly cemented as my favourite open world game of all time, overtaking Skyrim. Yes there are some very minor issues just like Skyrim and every other open world game out there. But the whole package this game delivers is absolutely mind blowing. Combat, World, story telling....everything is all 10/10 for me. Im blown away at the graphics consistently,I absolutely love this game. It is now firmly cemented as my favourite open world game of all time, overtaking Skyrim. Yes there are some very minor issues just like Skyrim and every other open world game out there. But the whole package this game delivers is absolutely mind blowing. Combat, World, story telling....everything is all 10/10 for me.     I have not had this much fun playing a game since Bloodborne and Horizon Zero Dawson! The gameplay is so addictive, the environment just stunning, the UI and all the menu’s are so simple and clean yet deeply involved. SuckerPunch had my heard with in famous 1 and 2...     An amazing game with a lot of content, have mistakes with certain missions or bugs, but in all aspects, the game is full of love for the japanese culture and bring excellent gameplay, side-mission really interesnting and a continue improve of the player and his skills, one of the best games of the year easy.

    The design of this game is something unseen in any other open world game of this type. The Guiding wind is brilliant idea, one which I wish was in more games. The game looks stunningly beautiful, the combat is fun and engaging and the world exploration doesn't feel like a chore.

    I have always loved all Japanese things, especially the culture and story of japan. I absolutely loved this game from start to finish. Even though it has some flaws like the facial expressions and animations, especially in the Japanese track, these flaws doesnt make the game less immersive. A no brainer 10/10. And i would even say it rivals The Witcher 3, maybe even better in some ways.

    Only a TRUE Samurai would give Ghost of Tsushima a 10. The beauty of the colors, the detail of the different fighting styles that you can switch through on the fly, Standoffs, frustrating Duels, and an amazing story that greatly exceeded my expectations. A must play without a doubt!

The side quests (which are not fetch quests and are very entertaining) kept me pushing for more. So much so, I was afraid I would run out of things to do. There are minor visual bugs, there are minor rare glitches, and the camera can be iffy at times. However, it is well made, it is lovely to look at and listen to, it tells a coherent story, it pays respectful homage to the time period andIt is a game made with passion by people who actually love games and gamers.     I don’t usually complete every single side mission before completing the main story but this game compels me to do so. Breathtaking visuals, good story, interesting characters, great soundtrack and fantastic all around. Hard to put down.

    This is how you release a game last of us 2 was flipping garbage and mis written. This game is amazing I like to change camera filters for each combat to see how each looks. My fave is the one that makes me feel like I'm watching an old Japanese samurai film.

    Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

    Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
