    If you're a fan of Game of Thrones, Telltale's version is a must buy. It fleshes out the universe in a great way, with a really exciting story and a great cast of characters – you know, the way Telltale usually rolls. The game is however not without its flaws, including crammed in book characters, boring storylines and a tempo that sometimes is a drag.

    The first season is one that is full of hard choices and a lot of sacrifice and feels very much in line with what fans have come to expect from Game of Thrones, but just how much all of this will matter has been hidden away for a second season.

    Telltale is very competent in telling tales. The "Walking Dead" (both seasons) and "The Wolf Among Us" are incredible examples. So I wasTelltale is very competent in telling tales. I am a HUGE GoT fan (books and show) and believed it would be virtually impossible for Telltale to tell a bad tale here.

    Maybe my expectations were too high; but the reality is that, after 6 episodes, the result is kind of 'meh'. I was never too compelled by the characters or the House Forrester as a whole (although there are some great moments when it comes to character development). The cameos were nice; but the plot felt weak, unimportant, almost irrelevant. The story never moved me - like the show brilliantly does - or even Telltale has done with past games. At one point, I just wanted to see it end.

    It's not a bad game. It's just not the best Game of Thrones game Telltale could do. Hopefully the second season will be more interesting. I'm not counting on it, though.    … Full Review »

By episode 5 and now 6 the whole story seemed to fallI found this series started with a lot of excitement just sucking you into the story. By episode 5 and now 6 the whole story seemed to fall apart. I felt like I was rushed through and the ending was mediocre. There is also a few bugs in this game with one causing the ps4 to crash. Luckily I did not have to start over by corrupting saved data file.

    My verdict: It is a 5/10. It is one of those games you can pick up in the bargain bin in the slow season of game releases. Usually PS store or the xbox store has it where you can play episode 1 for free and then grab the full season for a cheap price. No reason to pay full price for this game. If you want a telltale game check out the walking dead or tales of the borderland. Those games shine for telltale.    … Full Review »

    I have pretty mixed feelings about this first season of Game of Thrones by Telltale, on the bad side, the game is technically bad with, atI have pretty mixed feelings about this first season of Game of Thrones by Telltale, on the bad side, the game is technically bad with, at every episode launch, several glitch or bugs and graphically outdated, it is time Telltale starts working on this point, they're not just a small indie studio now, they have two or three game that comes out each year they should invest some money on a good engine.

    Secondly the game is full of slow moments were almost nothing happens and where the discussions doesn't seem to have any importance.

    On the other side each episode also has those high-tension or epic moments. And there is also major changes on the story depending on your choices (my girlfriend and I have don't have the same ending at all) and I'm curious to see how it will continue on Season two, it's the first time the choices matter that much in a TellTale game and that's a good thing. And obviously the Game of Thrones universe, with actors from the actual show actually playing their role was great.

    In conclusion the game has a mixed writing, bad technical qualities, but builds momentum on an expected season and on the whole universe of GoT in general, an experience that may please some but for the moment I'll wait to see the second season to see if they build on this season and improve the global experience or if it stills lack rhythm.    … Full Review »
