    My first foray into Final Fantasy and I very nearly turned it off and uninstalled after the first few sessions. My opinion did eventually change and now I actually think it was a game worthy of my time (a lot of time if you’re considering the platinum). Initially though, and maybe it’s because I’m such a noob to the franchise... I just couldn’t get my head around many (if not all) of theMy first foray into Final Fantasy and I very nearly turned it off and uninstalled after the first few sessions. My opinion did eventually change and now I actually think it was a game worthy of my time (a lot of time if you’re considering the platinum). Initially though, and maybe it’s because I’m such a noob to the franchise... I just couldn’t get my head around many (if not all) of the facets to this game.

    The story seems to divert you away from the interesting things going on in the narrative, the characters seem very 2 dimensional, the combat just made no sense to me and I just ended up winning battles by hitting attack, the music seemed cheap and ps1-like and the ‘gameplay-loop’ was difficult to ‘find’ (click with. I stuck with it though as if Covid-19 delivered anything it delivered time and most if not all of my concerns were at least somewhat turned around. The narrative does eventually take you to more interesting places thematically, I found myself almost liking spending time with the 4 main characters and listening to their interactions. The combat is far from perfect but I did start to gain a better understanding of it and it’s ‘okay’. The various tunes get stuck in your head when you’re not playing and the next time you hear them in-game they strike a chord. And the gameplay-loop... it’s there... and it ain’t bad once you understand it.

    Decent package altogether and now I’ll play another Final Fantasy game (probably VII Remake) without any reservations.

    edit. So I did go on to earn the Platinum and the game (& characters) continued to grow on me. I actually ended up really enjoying it... and the fight against the super boss 'Omega' will live with me for many a year.    … Expand

    This game had a troubled development and skipped a lot of stuff like leaving behind turn based and how Luna didn't have any character development one of the not as good ones in the series but it still beats a lot of stuff other companies char out a yearly based like fifa, nba or cod

    The combat, the story, the characters, the open world, the game, is absolutely everything! When I started the game, I never stopped because it got me hooked! This game is one of my favorites. The story is remarkable, the open world is extraordinary, and the characters are awesome. This is one of the most outstanding JRPG games I've ever played.

    From the outset that I do not compare it to the other previous final fantasy games, but the game is not bad, on certain occasions you could expect more, especially from the plot that is a bit weak. like gameplay and graphics but we are at the top.     It starts pretty slow and you’ll think it’s a cheesy story but it turns out to be a really entertaining and engaging story, I loved every part of it and all the characters are so likeable I’m going to miss them

    Everthing almost perfect except 2 things: If you cut-out side quests the game and story is very short. Second, the map content including sidequests are soo repetitive

    This was a much needed return to when Final Fantasy were great games!

    The last several games have been kind of horrible. Since FFX, the rest have been kind of a flop. But this one brought back everything that was good about Final Fantasy.     The magic and combat was smooth and fun. The new abilities they added, allowing to teleport around by throwing your sword made the combat really fast paced, which I enjoy.    … Expand

    Falar do espetáculo que é esse jogo é bastante complicado! Joguei inúmeros títulos do final fantasy. Terminei o FFVII cerca de 5 vezes, Final Fantasy Tactics cerca de 4 vezes, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFXII, serei uma vez cada! Mas acredito que FFXV esteja dentre os meus favoritos. Mal posso esperar pro FFXVI e pelo FFVII REMAKE! Inovação sem limites e com certeza marcou a série FF com esteFalar do espetáculo que é esse jogo é bastante complicado!     I love open-world RPG games but I also enjoy some linear story along with it. This game tries to mash all of them up together and some parts well done however the plot of the story lacks emphasis. The story is very cliche-filled. However, I like playing a chill game, exploring the world, and doing sidequests.     God do I love this game.. I have played it for soo long and have a lot of memories playing it .. the gameplay is something new and invigorating for a final fantasy game , I throughly enjoyed the story and the unique cast of characters you’ll encounter noctis seems to be the must human out of all final fantasy characters next to squall and zidane.. the cast all have their own struggles andGod do I love this game.. I have played it for soo long and have a lot of memories playing it .. the gameplay is something new and invigorating for a final fantasy game , I throughly enjoyed the story and the unique cast of characters you’ll encounter noctis seems to be the must human out of all final fantasy characters next to squall and zidane.. the cast all have their own struggles and flaws and we get to see that .. there are some really sad moments and really funny moments .. Nice after-game game, good car, generally speaking there are not many things to dislike about FF XV. But the game is not perfect unfortunately. Main drawbacks are story and repeatable content.     Overall, I have to say this game was a very fun and memorable experience. Most people and ratings from what I hear, did not rate this game very high, however, I found the game to leave a lasting impression on me. I do agree this game feels incomplete to a degree with some botched decisions on how to deliver the story, with some of it being a separate movie, dlcs, and an anime. Also the combat did have some issues and the story felt a bit short. However, what this game had going for it was the open world. I spent almost 20 hours if not more just running around in Lucis fishing, doing side quests, finding new dialogue, exploring every inch and finding cool stuff. All the character building came from just hanging out in the open world camping, doing and finding little quests, dungeons, practice fighting with Arenea and the bros, watching the pictures at the end of every day, etc. I spent almost 60 hours experiencing every inch of this game and I loved it. The story itself I found to be very impactful and beautiful. Great music, excellent graphics and environment design, and fun mechanics and things to explore. I do believe the game could have been a bit better but is by no means a bad game like others claim it to be. I recommend for everyone to take your time with this one and do not rush through it.… Expand

    I did like the game as a whole as it has many typical characteristics from the FF franchise. If they would have included EVERYTHING from the start and not some parts half a year later and also split some of the story into their animation, film etc. it would have been a masterpiece with one of the best stories in FF and the music was fantastic.     I honestly love this game! Noctis and bros are supercool, story is great and there is one of the best villains of all time, music id one of my favorite in entire series- Yoko Shimomura is genius. It really is worth playing!

    I wish I rated this game sooner. It was my first Final Fantasy game it helped me to fall in love with the series. I spent close to 200 hours in game. And I can say you will definitely get your moneys worth when and if you buy this game

    The story here is pretty interesting and is complemented well by the movie Kingsglaive. Nothing overly engrossing, but it does set a good stage for our 'boy band' hero's on their road trip around the countryside. And that is the element that's the big draw, the adventure and relationships between the four mates.
    The visuals and art design are great. Although, playing it on the original PS4 did come with plenty of frame drop issues. Especially in the built up towns within the open world. And of course the music is exceptional, meeting the standards of any Final Fantasy title (you can even unlock a lot of old tracks from previous FF games).

    The game-play is what really won me over with this one. The adventuring and exploration is great, full of monsters to kill and treasures to harvest! The new action based combat is a lot of fun with a great feel to it. Of course, just like most, the biggest criticism is the magic. Mostly because of the friendly fire that all spells can cause. And like most comments, it's not a big deal because you can breeze through the game without using a single spell.

    I could go on and on about the vast amount of content that is on offer, such as the fishing and the cooking and the chocobos etc etc. But what I must highlight is the opening statement before the title screen “A Final Fantasy for old fans and newcomers”. This FF really does strike a great balance to please the wider audience in the best way.    … Expand

    I loved every single minute that I've spent for exploring the beautiful world of Eos, with the chocobos.
    And the dungeons are easily the best of the entire series.

I don't give this a 10 simply because the game was left unfinished. You can tell during the latest chapters that there's missing content.     I wish I could give half score, then my score would be 9.5, but my criticisms aren't enough to give it a 9.

    I have only played this game with the Royal Edition or Windows Edition. This version has all the dlc and updates in the game already so I don't know about those things people had issue with in the past.     But this game, the AI system between the 4 main characters is so wonderful. It feels like you are truly seeing 4 guys on the road, bantering and laughing and becoming family. The story has some issues, and that's my main reason for the lack of .5 score. The reasoning of the gods is confusing, why they needed to curse Ardyn, why Noctis needed to die to save Ardyn... it's rather nonsensical, but I believe that's a holdover from Tetsuya Nomura... who is known for that.
    My biggest issue lies in Luna, she is under utilized and the things she does for the story and Noctis are downplayed. She is the one who even got the gods to give Noctis their powers, she went around the world healing people, she even tried to save Ardyn, and yet the story barely focuses on her and greatly suffers for it.
    But again, that disrespect for female characters seems to be a hold over from tetsuya nomura's style as can be seen in KH and FF7R.

    The game design, and character development is so good among Noctis, Ignis, Gladio and Prompto however, that you can easily drop 400 hour sin this game and still have fun.    … Expand

    Action RPG lover, always found annoying the "menu" system on final fantasy even though I still played and enjoyed quite a few and this had my attention from the start because of the fast paced action gameplay but I dodnt know how much it would excel in almost everything else. Instantly at the top favourite games of all time for me with just a few flaws :

    The world itself was gorgeous and when you first go to Altissia, the view is nothing less than sublime. The orchestral scores and piano pieces, as well as the fantastic cover of 'Stand by Me' by Florence + The Machine from Ben E. King's classic, was great too.
    While the characters outside of Noctis and Ardyn could do with some fleshing out, the intriguing destiny the two shares helped me to overlook the weaker side characters. The story explores the prophecy of Noctis and while there are moments when it is incoherent, the simple grandeur of the tale made me love XV.

    They say that your first Final Fantasy is always your best, and while I've still got more Final Fantasies to explore, I can confidently say that XV will always be a special one for me, as it was my definitive gaming experience.    … Expand

    I really like the story, and I really loved explored the entire Openworld of Lucis with my personal Chocobo.
    The graphics is awesome, the OST is outstanding, and the dungeons are easily the best ever made for the entire franchise of Final Fantasy.
    Overall, Final Fantasy XV is a really beautiful game.

    Pontos altos: > Grupo central extremamente carismáticos e a amizade deles convence bem, mas você pode estranhar no início. > Gráficos lindos
    >Historia no geral muito boa, isso quando você pode jogar as 4 dlc. Mas mesmo se jogar só a campanha principal, dará pra entender quase tudo.
    > o Gameplay é oito ou oitenta, no início você fica empolgado por essa novidade na franquia, é bem mais dinâmico e requer mais reflexos, porém depois de algumas dezenas de horas, pode ficar bem maçante.
    > Trilha sonora. Esse foi o ponto alto pra mim, sempre um jogo me vende pela trilha sonora, e esse foi umas das melhores que ouvi, principalmente por eu estar órfão desde que zerei Bloodborne. Diferente de muitas outras, essa trilha ajuda a se conectar a história profundamente, principalmente pela faixa Somnus que se encaixa perfeitamente no capítulo final e toda jornada que levou até ali. Pontos Negativos:
    > Apesar de ter um mundo extremamente grande e muito bonito, comente o mesmo erro de uma tal Ubisoft, onde os mundos são extremamente vazios(mortos), por mais que tenha monstros, missões, atividades e etc.. não passa a sensação que você em um mundo orgânico como: the witcher, Skyrim, RDR2 ou até Horizon zero dawn(que não acho grande coisa). > missões secundárias ridículas: você é o rei dos reis, tem poderes de deuses, mas tem missões que pede pra você: tirar fotos, pegar temperos, concertar carros, buscar e levar encomendas, eu sei que é o padrão dos JRPG, mas poderiam ter dado uma diversificada ou melhorado a história dessas missões como tantos outros rpg fazem. > A falta de desenvolvimento de personagens tão interessantes. Eles são apresentando na trama, você simpatiza com eles e depois simplesmente somem: Ravus, Cor Leonis e Aranea. > falta de diversidades nas Dungeons, onde são 12, mas metade são iguais, principalmente na secretas. > Falta de desafio, o jogo é extremamente fácil, principalmente depois que você consegue o anel(mas você não é obrigado a usar.) > Magias, o lance de praticamente só ter 4 tipos de magia de ataque é ridículo, principalmente quando você é que cria elas, que não faz nenhum sentido. > Apesar dos summons serem bem incríveis e colossais, a mecânica de usar ele é extremamente complicada e há poucos, só pode usar 4(5 se fizer uma missão secundária), tanto que zerei, platinei e só consegui usar 3(fora da história principal). .
    Mesmo com tantos pontos Negativos, na balança o saldo fica bem positivo. É engraçado que me liguei muito mais a história de ter zerado e escutado a trilha sonora, elas ajudaram a conectar muito em toda a lore principalmente as faixas: Standy by me(a letra se encaixa perfeitamente com a situação daquele grupo), Somnus, Hellfire(perfeita) Apocalypsis Noctis(por mais que as batalhas contra os deuses sejam fáceis, não há como não ficar empolgado com ela).    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Final Fantasy 15 was a game I picked up via the PlayStation Now service. It also boasts the distinction that it is the first of the long-running series of games that have actually completed.

    The story itself is fairly basic. It is about a soon-to-be king named Noctis going on an adventure with three of his best friends on a worldwide adventure. Along the way, you will face everything from foot soldiers to a mountain size monster. The world is vast and the number of things to do and people to see is nearly as big as the world itself is. You could easily clock in over 50-100 hours if you wanted to and still have things to do.

    You can fish, hunt down monsters for bounties, play a few games, and order food. It also has a great ending to the game's story. One of the best of any game I have ever beaten.

    Next to Final Fantasy 10 this may be one of the best games in its lineup.    … Expand

    This is my first Final Fantasy game and I loved it. The story was sometimes a bit confusing but I still loved the story. The combat is on point and the Boss fights are amazing! Before I played this game I always thought that Final Fantasy was some kind of "Weeb Game" but I was absolutely wrong! I definitely recommend this game to everyone.

I personally found the gameplay loop to be addicting, Story is solid by itself without all the extra junk. Characters are the best part. Noctis and his bros have such great chemistry. I personally enjoyed the open world and what it had to offer. It’s not done the best but it’s also unique. Isn’tGame has several issues but also does a lot right. Visuals are good.     To visit every single dungeon, and every single panorama, offered by the game I spent more than 100 hours of gameplay.

    This is one of the most enjoyable that I've experienced, so I can safely recommend this, if you like openworld games with a great action gameplay, and a beautiful story.

    Final Fantasy 15 is practically a road trip game where the themes of friendship and destiny represent the two pillars of the plot, which tells of how 4 friends travel on a journey that will lead the protagonist Noctis to accept the responsibilities of becoming King, sacrificing everything for the future of his world and above all for the future of his friends.
    The action gameplay is great fun, and the soundtrack is just amazing (with the possibility of being able to listen to the music of all the previous main chapters of the franchise, and even more, such as the music of Nier Automata)
    With an open world that is beautiful to look at and intriguing to explore, especially on the saddle of chocobos in search of dungeons, moreover made in an excellent way.

    final fantasy xv is one of my favorite final fantasy game and i been playing this game since 2016 my favorite collaboration in this was XV and XIV crossover events when i replay XV with new game plus i always don’t forget to do a crossover game with XIV and my favorite memories in this game is everything especially the ending. “you guys are the best”

    This is one of the only games that had me hooked for days on end. In my writing I realize however my bias in liking this game so much, since it was my first Final Fantasy game, my first PS4 game, and my first modern AAA game title.

    One of the best RPG of the year, and that I've played in my life. A gorgeous and functional RPG that makes you wanna play more and more. The history is simply beautiful, the characters development is so good that you can feel they evolving during the game. The combat is good, but remarcable, the skills of noctis and the teamwork are the glimpse of it. Talking about teamwork, theOne of the best RPG of the year, and that I've played in my life. I listen to the soundtrack even today, and it's breathtaking. The graphics aren't the best, but good for the time that was launched. The map is huge and have so many side quests to do.     After so many years of development, Final Fantasy XV is not what I expected it to be. The universe is immense and beautiful and the characters are just fine. But the story is short and disappointing and the gameplay suffers from lack of depth. FFXV is a good game, but it can never bring the former glories back to the series.

    Despite a divided feel, torn between what it was and what it plans to be, Final Fantasy XV has a lot to offer. If you're a diehard JRPG fan, then it's a positive sign that the series can cross over to a new format. And if you're just looking for an open world adventure, Final Fantasy XV certainly has that in spades, while doing just enough things differently to separate it from the likes of Dragon Age and Elder Scrolls.
