    No doubt it's a GAMBLE playing FUT 21. In order to get great players you practically gotta spend a lot of money. Buying packs and not knowing what you're getting in return, that's called GAMBLING !!! It's time to BOYCOTT FUT 21 !! I’m having to score 6 to 7 goals a game just to barely win games and I am an experienced FIFA player who usually has a decent record I’ve never seen anything like this you are utterly at the mercy of attackers it’s quite tragic.

    Lots of people complaining about launch bugs who don’t understand the complexities of building these engines. Also a lot of people just can’t play the game cause it’s not button mashing like last years version.

    Fifa 21 is an improvement over last years fifa in some ways but still lacks in so many sad ways!!! To start i really wish ea would stop using the frost bite engine, second, pay to win is a game breaker and ea shows its nasty greedy hands once again. still think Pes 21 is better football.

    Fifa over the years has became a cash grab game.. Nothing changes and feels like a copy and paste of fifa 20.. EA know people will be stupid enough to buy it so they keep making them anyway.. I have friends that keep saying every year how bad the game is but then go on and say they will be getting the new one.. Mainly for FUT..

    As a FIFA player since 2002 and its as if FIFA is simply getting worse year in and out. The gameplay is quite mediocre and has no realism at all. THE DYNAMICS ARE ABYSMAL! Can't believe they would rob someone out of $100 for a version of ultimate team that is the worst thing I've ever played. Should have saved my money or maybe a transition in to PES is needed now.

    AI Defending is terrible on pro clubs. Sort it out EA. I wont be spending a single penny on ultimate team as its a con and hopefully loot boxes will be banned by uk government as child gambling is illegal. Then we might actually get a decent gaming experience instead of money grabbing from children. But im not holding my breath

    Regret buying this game already and only played it for a day, I love career mode but am unable to play it as anytime I simulate a match I can guarantee at least two severe injuries with the injured players out for at least two months. Pathetic game from a pathetic money grabbing t*** of a company.

    Brilliant fifa. Better than fifa 20 by miles. The way players move in game. The graphics are more polished. And the career mode improvements make it a realistic football sim. I’d say imo it’s the best fifa to date.

    Needs far more balance in the game. Stop making it about speed every year - There should be benefits by playing with a slower but stronger squad (ie. Long ball benefits).     Its a copy from fifa 20. I did not buy the game, but tried it on ea access for 8 hours. I did not want to spend money so i had pretty bad team. Realised that if your players arent 90+ pace rated and use all your money on this game you gonna struggle. Not gonna buy this version for the first time. They know people will buy because football changes weekly and people want the new updated version. This is the straw that has broke the camels back for people.     Aber ansonsten ist es wie die Vorgänger auch schon, einfach nicht gut. Seit der Alex Hunter Story Mode nicht mehr existiert ist der Reiz auch komplett verschwunden. Für ein Wochenende ausgeliehen und wieder zurück gegeben. Noch immer keine Empfehlung.

    I regret buying the game, it’s literally feels like the same game and graphics, there isn’t much difference. Plus the difference that they’ve added is the fact that defending is horrible in this game, if a defender isn’t fast then you can forget about not getting a clean sheet; pace is so OP here !!! Plus the difference that they’ve added is the fact that defending is horrible in this game, if a defender isn’t fast then you can forget about not getting a clean sheet; pace is so OP here !!! I honestly considered getting PES this year but still trusted in EA that fifa 20 was a one off where they wouldn’t make many changes but sadly this isn’t true. The game keeps getting worse now.     It's not even the same game as last year. It's a worse game than last year. And for the people that say "learn how to defend£", it's supposed to be a causal football game where the AI needs to have some intelligence and not act like a racoon on cocaine. I can't control 4 + defenders.

    Gameplay got wayyy better than in FIFA 20. Career mode is really fun this year. FIFA Ultimate Team sadly got no big changes, except the new stadium options. For me this FIFA is The best FIFA since FIFA 16. Player ratings pretty f*cked up but that is no reason do change my opinion on the game. FIFA 21 is all in all a pretty good game.

    The 'incredible new features' that EA, still plaguing the gaming industry in 2020, have introduced in FIFA 21 are a laughable excuse for an upgrade, with the focus still clearly being on FUT because of the given that most gullible players will always buy their game no matter what happens to it. When they do implement some 'new' features in for instance career mode, all people get are features that were already in the game 10 years ago and should have been in the game 5 years ago, like being able to intervene when simulating a match or changing the position of your players. Then there are game modes that they barely or don't even bother to touch, like player career mode or pro clubs (where you can now edit multiple players, hooray). It is so incredibly obvious that EA gives those game modes the bare minimum of their attention while still convincing customers that they are constantly innovating on all fronts.

    Gameplay is still focused on cheap tactics and unrealistic spamming of the same overpowered skill moves and tactics, with the game becoming less realistic each year in comparison to actual football. Even the AI is now starting to use the same cheap moves that every single player on Ultimate Team has been doing for multiple years. It is simply no fun to play this game anymore, and at this point not even comparable to their only competitor in PES (which does a way better job in improving their game and caring for the fan base).

    And how can I forget the ever growing exploitation of their mostly younger fan base with microtransactions and gambling features. This game is still rated for people over the age of 3, even though the game clearly contains elements that encourage or teach gambling (like stated on the PEGI website) and try to shove it down your throat any chance they get. For this problem alone the game should receive a 0 out of 10.

    This game is a disgrace to all parties involved, and it is about time that people finally open their eyes to what is truly going on within this franchise and stop supporting this lousy excuse for a game developer.    … Expand

    Essentially the same game with a few fine tuned gameplay elements, the game’s passing and players making runs behind does seemed to be a bit of an improvement. Also a nice, albeit subtle, presentation element is the inclusion of traditional songs before games that weren’t previously present: This is the One (Man United); Blue Moon (City), Liquidator (Chelsea).. theyre all there and it’s a nice touch. However, for everything good this FIFA does, at a minimum it does an equal number of things badly... Defending is considerably harder this year, which isn’t necessarily a bit thing as long as there was reasoning behind it. However, a lot of the tackling doesn’t make sense and the AI does nothing to help you in situations where it usually would.

    Presentation wise, despite what I said before, seems to be lagging at this point. The same reused animations for the last 6 years, along with commentary that’s in desperate need of innovation... also, a small point - Man United walk out of the OT tunnel on the wrong side?... like, this is very menial but Jesus Christ it’s a basic unnecessary error. You only have to watch a United game to see they walk out on the opposite side...

    As for the goalkeeping, don’t get me started. A top keeper can go from making an unbelievable close range save to watching a slow 40 yard shot just meander in without making an attempt to save, very odd.

    What’s also painfully evident at this point is the triggered animations and the general AI positioning. Everything feels pre determined and it’s completely unintuitive with being able to make decisions on the fly. Your players also don’t move in to space and hang offside a lot of the time. These floors are becoming painfully obviously in a next gen era where the likes of PES are so superior gameplay wise it’s not even funny.

    As for game modes... FUT is what it is - the cash cow that keep EA Sports relevant. Without it they’d be nothing with the quality of the game they produce. I personally don’t play it, namely because I don’t fancy investing $100’s to just get a half decent team.

    As for everything else... career mode is disappointingly stale now, despite them banging on about changes they’re pretty rudimentary and really don’t make much difference to the experience at all... Volta? Genuinely what is the point. It’s not fun, it’s not fifa street, so just can it. So what to say... you’d hope they pulled a half arsed effort out because they’re concentrating on the next gen version of the game. That’s the optimistic take, but I’m sure they’ll just keep churning out mediocrity until the end of days... so sad, this series used to be so cutting edge and enjoyable.    … Expand

    Game for fans who either need to work online at FUT every day, or instead want to try a modified career mode, which is starting to really look like Football Manager. Otherwise, it's a decent update for the full price. [Issue#307]

    The FIFA series desperately needs a fresh start. Right now, it relies mainly on the Ultimate Team mode and marketing, while going around in circles. Instead of leaping into the future, FIFA 21 takes half a step forward and two steps sideways in an attempt to differentiate itself from its predecessor well enough to rationalize spending money. If you already own FIFA 20 and are not addicted to Ultimate Team, you can sit this one out. [12/2020, p.44]
