    U play soccer in this. It's a sport. Also, fifa is a big reason the playstation got off. For me, that was the end of nerd culture in a small way, the time when the big companies turned their back on the nerds to cater to the jocks and bullies. I hate this with all that i am.

If losing the License for Juventus last year wasn’t bad enough, they managed to lose licensing to more of the biggest clubs and leagues in the game. ultimate Team is the only mode that ever sees updates due to its profitability.     Apparently it's pay to win but I don't touch ultimate team. If that's your jam, fine, but for me career mode and online seasons/coop and pro clubs are my focus. The gameplay has improved, it feels a bit more thought out and even career mode has had some welcome additions. Enjoying it a lot, best FIFA in years imo

Played the beta and geuinely thought it was gonna be the best fifa i've played since fifa 15 only to realise it's plays completely different passing is awful, defending and tackling is non existant, 56 pace defenders catching up to 90 pace attackers still makes zero sense everything feels slow and unresponsive, goalkeepers are non existant and the referees have somehow got worse and of course it's still pay to win and gambling at the fore front of the whole game so you best have a big bank balance or be able to use mummy and daddys money, all round another garbage game that even patches won't save. Time to get rid of the frostbite engine which has made fifa **** since it was brought in!!!… Expand

    Worst Fifa game un years. The fact that goalkeepers are non existent makes the game unplayable. It doesnt matter which dificulty you choose. Just shoot, it would be goal. Games ending 8-8, 7-6... Are NOT fun. Not real. Just plain boring. What was bad in latest Fifas series, is now worst. So disapointed. Its really, really bad.

    Anyone complaining about how bad the defending is on the game just needs to learn how to defend on it. Better than FIFA 20. Menus aren’t perfect but hopefully a patch will speed them up. Gameplay is entertaining and fast at the moment and once people start to work out the mechanisms I’m sure more types of playing the game will be discovered.

    If you lose 1-0 at the beginning of the game and your opponent leave the game it counts like a defeat. wtf ? Horrible defence and goalkeeper. I hope it will be different on ps5 version since it arrive i won't play this bad game anymore.

    I've never come across a large enterprise that has so little interest in creating a product that feels satisfying and entertaining to their customers.     First evening the game felt extremely responsive, and fun. Both attacking and defending felt fun, even though I conceded goals. The flow of things and movement of players was faster and more fluid than before.

    Of course, this didn't last. Within hours things slowed down. Sluggish movement, lagging gameplay and all the things we know all too well from Fifa. I play via 500/500 fibre connection. It remains like that.

    - Keepers this year is absolutely non-existent, btw. It's ridiculous. Most shots on target will go in.
    - Beforehand it was announced that they would amend chaotic situations with player collisions. I've seen more of this stupid stuff than ever before.
    - It's also detrimental to the experience that they let opponents cancel your celebrations/replays. Football is about big moments. I get that it could be trimmed down, but to put the power to end a replay in the hands of an opponent is just blatantly ignoring a huge part of football. Joy and celebration. Emotions.

    A perfect Fifa should essentially work like an RPG: (your stats)*(your skills)= the outcome and resulting gameplay. Instead players and games are constantly effected by server performances below par which inhibit their development within the games mechanics. You could work many hours trying to learn the game's mechanics, but truth is the performance of those mechanics are constantly manipulated by inconsistent servers.

    The game looks good, the darker presentation is more pleasing to the eye than in a long time. The soundtrack is also a lot less annoying than recent years which is good. But the game itself is just a tweak of an old recipe. They enhance and reduce certain mechanics usability each year. That's basically it. This year headers are back. Next year through passes might be a waste of time.    … Expand

    The amount of goals scored in each match is incredible (6-3, 7-2, 5-4, 4-4, etc). Should have named it Volleyball 21. The gameplay is    Absolutely disgusting game.     The amount of goals scored in each match is incredible (6-3, 7-2, 5-4, 4-4, etc). Should have named it Volleyball 21. The gameplay is not realistic AT ALL. If you're good with skills and the "new" agile dribbling crap you'll score a tonne of goals but passing doesn't get you anywhere.

    Tackling is horrifying, you tackle and the ball is just put in a 50/50 situation with 99% of the time your defender blanking and leaving it there. Scripting is still here of course and don't even get me started on the AI or lack of. Best one so far is having my opponent come 1 v 2 and my 2 defenders just wanted to go check how the sidelines were doing. Even a pass going by less than 30cm from a defenders foot and doesnt even bother to intercept it.

    I've been buying fifa since 09 now - this is my last one (including all other EA games). Very disappointed i can't sell it as I bought the digital version.    … Expand

    I’m absolutely sure that EA are just geniuses.Imagine that a company sells u the same product every year with no new features at all. And that **** calls FIFA 21.Alright ,without any jokes that game is truly the same as it was 4 years ago ,so give yourself a favor and don’t buy that garbage, either u want play fifa,get the 17 or 18 and you will get the same as it is right now.

    How can you play it? Changes are minimal compared to the previous part. EA with its policy has completely dropped, I wish you to play a dull running simulator for $ 60

    I have purchased every fifa Game since PS1, and as such have experienced the progression of the game come in leaps and bounds. Unfortunately the last 5 years have been a cut and paste edition of the previous years release.     They should have named it FIFA20: Remastered. also, same problems, same money motivated game mechanics and loot boxes in the FUT...no worth playing.

    Just when you thought EA cannot frustrate or disappoint you any more after FIFA20, they come up with FIFA21! Takes the fun right out of the game. Sluggish defenders and multi-personality goalkeepers to say the least. They didn't even bother make the menu better let alone the gameplay. FIFA is just not a fun game at all. And all this at the cost of a full game.

    In my subjective opinion this part of the game is the best in the last 3 years, therefore 9. I get emotions from this game for the first time in 5-6 years, isn't that the main thing?

    Game for fans who either need to work online at FUT every day, or instead want to try a modified career mode, which is starting to really look like Football Manager. Otherwise, it's a decent update for the full price. [Issue#307]

    The FIFA series desperately needs a fresh start. Right now, it relies mainly on the Ultimate Team mode and marketing, while going around in circles. Instead of leaping into the future, FIFA 21 takes half a step forward and two steps sideways in an attempt to differentiate itself from its predecessor well enough to rationalize spending money. If you already own FIFA 20 and are not addicted to Ultimate Team, you can sit this one out. [12/2020, p.44]
