    Neglected career mode as per usual except a couple of minor changes. Player career mode is untouched, these are two modes that have untapped potential and it's a shame to see it so neglected. Late to the review party, but seeing the 0.7 it's vastly deserving of much less than that.

    I've been playing fifa for nearly 20 years and this is the worst one they've made yet. They release the same terrible game every year now. I've never had so little fun playing a game, especially one that is based on something I love so much. If they removed the pay to win scheme in FUT the game wouldn't sell a copy.     FUT is shocking I wonder if my keeper is actually playing or if it is just a hologram. Every single shot goes into the net. It’s all based on pace again, yet low shot, low strength players still beat your slightly slower but supposidly better stat players. Awful !!    … Expand

Defending is non existent, pace players run past everything and score 1 on 1s from every angle whatever the shooting stat. Most games end 7-6 or something ridiculous.     I havent bought it, but played at my friends. We both are really good players, eve though we were able to score easily 6-7 goals. Defending is just shambles in here. Like last year the game is scripted towards the end

    To easy to score and to difficult to defend. The only thing that has improved are the crosses, but everything else is even worse then fifa 20. Besides that no real changes were made to the game in comparison to fifa 20.

    What the f*** is the defence AI? It is the most horrendous thing I have ever used. It just doesn't help. Players with the ball inches away don't make the least of efforts to tackle it. Defenders only run when the attacker is already 1on1 with the keeper. Goals are so easy that every single one is equal to previous. Go waste your money on a knew sweater!

    Really disappointed in this year's game. I mainly play FUT and it's a shame that most of the time you're playing against people who've bought players spending so much money.     Terrible game play, started off well, but ruined by patches as usual. Just finished a match a few minutes ago, 14 shots on target, just 1 goal scored. Stupid.

    The first two weeks the game was fun. Then EA made a patch that sucked all the fun out of it. Same as FIFA 20. Disappointed, but not surprised!

To elaborate on that, I mean that they release the game with some decent new functionality and then a YouTuber finds a way to exploit a problem and then it becomes the only way to win. I thought that they might have learned from FIFA 20, the game went the entire run without 2 main mechanics ever working, heading and timed finishing. Last year stamina was a joke, people used team press and constant pressure to win games, the main issue being that for some reason those tactics effected the opponent's team and AI , misplaced passes from 2 yards, AI teammates running away from play and to make it worse there was no effect of the users stamina, it's the same this year. The free flowing and fun football experience is destroyed by every single player using the same completely unrealistic tactic. The worst thing is that when EA do fix it the same players start to complain because they don't know how to play the game without an exploited tactic and then EA change it back and call it "more balanced". FIFA 21 is another lazy, badly designed and maintained game that we have come to expect from a money grabbing company like EA. Will I play it, of course, it's FIFA and I will complain about the broken mechanics and refuse to use exploited tactics each time. Hopefully PES use this year off to bring a big challenge to Fifa. They have already showed how easily a major patch could do everything that FIFA does with its yearly title release.… Expand

    Definitely seeing improvements over pretty much all the game modes. Menu content is getting better each year, especially in UT, but career mode also received major improvements this year. Game play has problems but usually is enjoyable. A lot of additions in game play that are leading to a higher skill gap. Micro-transactions still hinder the potential for a better rating.

Ive complained to EA answer's and i had a message in my private inbox from ea saying if i talk about the servers i will be banned from the use of ea answers. There are 1000s of messages about the servers on there and all they do is blame your internet connection.
    Another big problem is the goal keeper's.....omg what is the point having a 90 rated keeper when all they do is flop to the floor when the ball is going across them. Or a header wow guess what they do...yes flop to the floor so its an automatic goal. Whoever programmed the keepers this year must of thought he was making an ice hockey game. Honesty the keepers dont dive for shots when a shot has been placed in the box.
    Another thing is the refs...wow F me...the refs give penalties or red cards for your shirt brushing against your opponent. Whats worse is last man takes can be totally ignored. Ive been hacked so many times in the box and screamed penalty and the ref just lets play resume.
    So should you get fifa this year for xmas just pray your parents or whoever brought it has a form of receipt for a full refund. DONT BUY THIS GARBAGE OF A GAME.    … Expand

    Wrongly categorized as PEGI 3 as the game features gambling.
    No realism whatsoever as the ball is glued to the feet of the players and the defenders are dumb as freak. Not even marginal improvement from the previous title - FIFA 20.     No realism whatsoever as the ball is glued to the feet of the players and the defenders are dumb as freak.

    This game is just terrible. At the beginning of the game i felt like this game has a lot of potential. The two last patches messed this game up. After the the patch the defender CPU is just to overpowered. It means you only have to run back with the central midfielder and the rest is done by the Cpu. Offensively this game is even more worse. The game requires you to simultaneously watch the ball holder and follow runs aswell. This game has no defensive AI at all! players dont track the opposition at all they just at times simply run through the defence with no real help. Gameplay varies from game to game, and its noticeable on the speed of players, also many thing are overpowered thus making the game unrealistic, referees don’t seem to be able to differentiate a red card, a yellow card, a verbal warning, and when is a second yellow card deserved

    Worse fifa ive played. The scripting in the game is next level. You csn play someone who is awful at the game and still lose. No skill is needed to win anymore pointless for the weekend league. If you are looking to have a early grave this is the game for you because it will drive you insane with the amount of bs in this game. Well done EA for making another awful scripted game

Slow players doesn't even have a place in FIFA because there's no use passing as scoring on counters and using skill stick is better than passing playing.     Pretty bad. Clearly using DDA (dynamic difficulty adjustment) in order to sell the famous loot boxes. I have been playing video games since the early 80s (yes I am that old lol) and I have never faced a game that does that so "in your face". I can't stress enough how much I wanted to like it... But takes me 15 minutes to give up...

    Same game over and over the years, only game mode worth playing is FUT and is done for pro players or youtubers or influencers, the common gamer doenst get any fun with the game. As long as ea sports has the competitive players on their side by gifting them the game and multiple advantages in game FIFA is unplayable and just not fun

    Terrible game. Forces crap teams/ players to win with last second/ miracle goals. Makes defenders foul or ignore the ball. Doesn't allow you to select players you desire to control often. All in the name of having you buy packs and spending money

They fix ball control from Fifa 20 yet introduce non existent goal keepers that can't dive into a cross, that's coming across goal? What about Pro Clubs? No fix on chip shots yet chip through balls aren't working either.

    Game for fans who either need to work online at FUT every day, or instead want to try a modified career mode, which is starting to really look like Football Manager. Otherwise, it's a decent update for the full price. [Issue#307]

    The FIFA series desperately needs a fresh start. Right now, it relies mainly on the Ultimate Team mode and marketing, while going around in circles. Instead of leaping into the future, FIFA 21 takes half a step forward and two steps sideways in an attempt to differentiate itself from its predecessor well enough to rationalize spending money. If you already own FIFA 20 and are not addicted to Ultimate Team, you can sit this one out. [12/2020, p.44]
