    Same fifa as always. Haven’t changed anything since the implementation of the new frostbite engine. It plays exactly the same as 17,18,19,20 did without any changes anywhere (offline,online), they don’t even bother to change the tile menu they use since fifa 14 and they just resell the same game every year with updated rosters on full price. Every year the game launches with bugs,glitchesSame fifa as always. Haven’t changed anything since the implementation of the new frostbite engine.     Utter **** scripting is worse than it’s ever been, there is no such thing as smart A.I. and the play is clunky, Sunday league mistake after mistake. I thought they would have tried with some of the new rebranding but like EA this is hot garbage covering in the frustrations of nearly any player who has touched the game.

I am done giving my money to EA who clearly don't care about their consumers, and the community of one of their biggest titles. This isn't a football game- this is a lootcrate simulator disguised as a football game. EA are clearly going after people's wallets. Thus I've stopped playing FUT and indulging EA in their enormous greed. Now that I've spent more time playing Online Seasons, I can tell that EA didn't put much work into improving gameplay. They would rather release 69,794 versions of the same player card so people get dazzled by all the flashy colors and designs and spend their money on packs.

    Gameplay is still glitched and is DEFINITELY scripted. I am a divison 1 player in Online Seasons, been playing FIFA since FIFA 14. It is mind boggling how a defender with 50-60 pace can catch up to the likes of Coman or Dembele when they're through on goal. Defending is even worse than previous games. Defenders can go from world class to backyard children ball watching as a simple pass is played through to the player. Tactics don't mean much everyone plays stay back and counter attack eith over the top through balls to pacey wingers. This is FIFA 20 all over again with improved heading.

    This is the most infuriating AAA title I've played. You're playing against your opponent and the script that ultimately decides who wins the game. There are more issues with the game that I haven't covered.

I tried pro clubs but the AI are disabled in the head, your own character has complications does not follow instructions.     This has to be the all time worst fifa, and personally the worst game I have ever played. The mechanics the way fifa used to be played doesn’t exist anymore. The game isn’t about football anymore, position and timing don’t matter anymore. Everyone plays the same because the game only favors one type of play style. Absolutely terrible, really regret spending my money of it.

    Woeful. Played the franchise since FIFA 95. The past 5 years has gone from bad to worse. I generally play Ultimate team. The changes this year have made the game not only unrealistic to the point of ridiculous but also completely killed the gameplay. Defending is a joke, you can take someone out who is 1 on 1 and not even receive a yellow card however an attacker trips over his own feet inWoeful. Played the franchise since FIFA 95. The create your own stadia is a mess, pink lines, snowmen and birthday cake footballs shouldn’t be in the game. The whole mode is a complete cash cow. Players get nerfed after a period of time so you’re forced to upgrade and spend money on coins. To get the best players you either have to play at least 60 games per week so that’s a minimum of 15 hours just to be in with a chance to get some decent ‘pack’ pulls or you have to spend real money to buy packs which for icon players have about a 1% chance pull rate and for normal 88+ rated players it’s about 5% depending on packs. EA trying to clamp down on players buying coins from the black market so they are closing accounts at the slightest suspicion (hasn’t happened to me but I know plenty) so if you buy a player for more than they are worth by accident EA bans you from the transfer market. Players are constantly being hacked and coins gone and players sold etc. You contact EA and they assign a games specialist to investigate, 2 month later they look into it and claim that nothings wrong and you lose your coins etc and EA don’t operate an appeals procedure nor do they have any kind of complaints procedure so you cannot escalate anything. They are not bothered about the customer it’s only about the money. The servers are terrible, they always have been but you would think the popularity of the game that they would invest in this area. No not EA, you play a game with constant lag and often kicks you out for connectivity reasons even though your internet and your opponents internet are high with a low ping. The games broken. More about the cash cow rather than the gaming for EA. Very poor showing. I will not invest again next year. This is the last which is a shame… Expand

    Fifa has tried to get around the scripting issues which were more blatant before by making player switching more unreliable so that you switch to the wrong player at key moments. Passes will also go astray or be stupidly slow and defenders will not move towards the ball to make space for attackers to have a clear pathway to goal.     I can only compare this game to expectations rather than previous games, as I've avoided it for years. However I can confirm that it's dire. Career mode is clunky and a bit lazy. But Ultimate Team is where the bad really is. Setting aside how it's encouraging people into loot box gambling, and how it rewards people who are willing to pay for packs (because for most people, success is depending on having the best players), the gameplay is glitchy and flawed, and while on the one hand claims to be sim-like with its inconsistent and biased refereeing, encourages the use of skill moves and button bashing (or right stick twiddling in FIFA) to bypass any skill requirement - when you see Ian Wright doing fancy skill moves you'll understand how dumb it is. It rewards players who can't be bothered to learn to defend by making AI defending overstrong (and actually punishing people who like to control the defending themselves). Then you have issues like gifting some favoured people special and icon cards to use in public competitions against paying public; that if you aren't willing to spend all day trading or buying points then you'll always be second class and will never see the top players; the often terrible servers (although these have been improved in the last month or so, only taken 6 months).

    There is stuff to like, the online modes are slick, the menus fine. But there is so much to not like that I definitely won't be buying it again next year or for some time. And unless you like games that drive you to absolute rage, I recommend you avoid it.    … Expand

    Same game as Fifa 20 with a few minor tweaks. Goalkeepers can't make a save, every shot inside the box is an instant goal. Dribbling is rewamped. Passes now have a major delay. And Every other player has the first touch of Lukaku. Same bugs just a new number on the box. Pace is not only op but now a necessity to play.

    Worst game ever. I've been playing football games for 20 + years and never wanted to see a company go broke as bad as I've wanted to see fifa fail. It's what you deserve after ignoring your fanbase for so many years and having the audacity to charge full price. You could've been undefeated fit the next 20 years of you just did a bit of actual work and were innovative. RIP FIFA

    Skripting pay to win especially weekend league where your players play like they are stupid and you cant win matches and rank up if you don't buy fifa coins. It all about the money if you don't mean to buy fifa points don't play this game. Community is also really bad even in april lot of people still using same meta players and you will face same teams over and over again

I find that I have to sim the games as if I play on my normal level (legendary or above) the game play is too awful. Midfielders don’t track back, goalkeepers always concede near post, the team don’tI’ve played fifa for a long time, this is by far the worst version I’ve played. The game play is shocking. The slightest of contact inside the box will be given as a penalty, whereas outside of the box nearly no fouls are given. I honestly can’t believe how EA have been able to mess up the refereeing so much, it’s always been something that has been fairly solid but this years game has had the worst decisions I have ever seen (for and against me). In conclusion, I wouldn’t recommend buying this game. Fifa has been in decline over the years anyway but this game is by far the worst.… Expand

    Gameplay absolutely horrendous! It is an absolute joke compared to FIFA 20 (which wasn't the best). Passing is absolutely stupid (a ball goes the whole lenght of the field like a hot knife through butter). Defending is terrible, and even if you used te be an absolute wall in FIFA 20, it doesn't matter. Overall a trash game!!

If you value your mental health or your relationships and your general life I would strongly recommend not buying this game. There is not a single redeeming quality about it. I wish nothing but pain and suffering upon everyone who uses varane and hope that every EA employee involved in making this game watch their children burn alive!

    The mechanics of this game is terrible. I dominate by playing a certain way. The defending is awful. I have seen high school players track and defend better. It has a very arcade feel to it in that they made it so games have 5+ goals for each team. Defends just stand around. And offensive players just stand or they just run straight.     I see a lot of people complaining that it's the same game as every year, it's not. It's much worse. This is the least balanced FIFA there has been for close to 20 years. Bottom line is, it's not even fun to play. It feels like a game that's been tuned specifically for esports competitions and it's not longer a game designed for people to enjoy.

    I can’t play this game. I play career mode normally but I just can’t play this year. I don’t know how they’ve managed it but all your AI players are completely useless and just stand around watching the opposition attack. Midfielders will not come back and just stand there doing nothing. Defenders seem to back away from the strikers. This coupled with how hard it is to tackle makes theI can’t play this game.     The difense system is totally crap, every game finishes like 7-5, 5-5, 5-4. Only in the first half a game can result to 3-3, just only in the first half. The game is unplayable

    14 was    I bought this game 2 days ago and I already regret the purchase. EA what on earth are you doing? FIFA 13 was my first FIFA and also my favorite, would play the game for hours without stopping, passing worked, tackling worked, crosses and headers worked, defending worked, attacking was awesome and best of all anyone could play anyway they liked, and it all simply worked.

    14 was essentially the same but players couldn't turn quick enough and headers were somewhat OP, so i kept playing 13, 15 was okay too but this was where it started that the game wouldn't let me play how I wanted, it was like I was actively playing against the game itself. Didn't play 16 & 17, 18 was okay but nowhere near as good as 13-15, but i still enjoyed 18 quite a bit, 19 was horrible (time finesse nonsense), skipped 20, and now we have 21.

    But this 21, EA what is this, is this even football? This is not football!! as much as i hated 19, it was still football, i could attack, defend, players could actually turn and move and etc... But this 21, what is even happening in this game?

    Defenders just stand there and let attackers pass them.
    Standing tackles don't work (tactical defending has been ruined).
    Defenders are so slow I just don't understand.
    Players (especially defenders) turn too slowly.
    Player switching is erratic, the right stick switching is more reliable.
    Attacking AI runs are better, but i think this is just because the defense is horrible.
    A lot of times when you successfully tackle, you get stuck to the opponent and he still gets the ball back.
    When I get tackled, my player refuses to recover for a good second, they get stuck in this weird passive animation, i just don't understand.
    A lot of times, players just dont react to loose balls as if they're not concerned.
    Passes a lot of times go to the wrong person, like i was aiming at the other guy, what's happening?
    Interceptions are just weird and inconsistent.
    Feints are ultra OP.

    EA has even managed to automate everything, the game basically plays itself.
    In the controls we have;
    Auto shoot
    Auto block
    Auto dribble

    What's left for me to do if i enable all these? And one cant disable the auto block because all your opponents are using it, if you disable it you'll never win anything.

    Also we have keeper assisted saves, mine is on semi and I the difference is glaring when playing against others, there keepers are just saving everything, now i have to put mine on assisted too.

    Even when i play bad passes the game autocorrects the trajectory and makes it a good pass by force. What's all this?

    Now playing against others is just a horrible experience, i can tell these guys are bad players and I still lose anyways, now why is this?

    1. All they do is run with fast players and do feints, now my defense just cant handle feints for some reason.
    2. Stats are everything in this game, I play online seasons with atletico madrid and everyone else uses Real Madrid, Barca, Liverpool, PSG or Bayern, that's it almost always these teams. It's so hard playing against these big clubs because the difference in stats is just too much. Eventually i switched to Man City, played against a guy using Athletico, and after 2-0 by 10 minutes he quit the game, I had to message him to not bother using atletico.
    3. Most use constant pressure and well they just wont lemme breathe throughout the match. Sometimes I can swear people are using legacy defending.

    EA, your game does not work, why can't we just have a good game at launch, why? All these mechanics worked when i played FIFA 13, i never complained about passing, defending or player switching, how is it that you're just making the game worse every year, how?

    At this point I'll just settle for a FIFA 13 remaster or something.

    And for some reason, the UI is laggy, SMH.    … Expand

    Scripted beyond belief, broken game, unless you buy buy buy in game! It’s basically a rigged gambling system that robs you without an actual gambling license. These guys need to be sued for fraudulent behavior and be made to refund all the money that any user has paid into it. It’s basically illegal. Stay away and go get a better game that won’t rob you of your money and time.

    Online lag is terrible. No way to block players with bad connections. The game is unplayable when you keep having to play people across the world with bad internet. No way to avoid it. Easy fix but EA is a joke.

    It's more FIFA again, if you aren't bored of it yet then you might like it but there's very few gameplay updates. If you told me it was FIFA 20 i'd believe it.

    Probably the most annoying part is how bad some players still look, there's barely any updates each year but still so many players look nothing like they should.

    Full of forced match fixing, lacking freedom of control

    Especially, users who play over 10 ms ping should not play ultimate team

    I have had it for 6 weeks and have enjoyed it. First fifa in over 6 years. I tend to get one at the beginning of each new generation. Fut is new to me and quite fun. Have a fairly decent team so do ok. Only downside is the servers are a bit laggy, never sure if its me, opponent or ea. Yet to try the career mode but overall impressed. I would say its not worth updating every year as i canI have had it for 6 weeks and have enjoyed it. First fifa in over 6 years. I tend to get one at the beginning of each new generation.
