    AI Defending and tackling in general as well as just the whole defending aspect of the game is a broken, pathetic mess. AI defenders DO NOT defend the box, there is always a man or 2 making a run and the defending AI just lets them. Offensively the game has a lot of good things going on, but the fact that defending is literally broken, I can not recommend this game to anyone aside fromAI Defending and tackling in general as well as just the whole defending aspect of the game is a broken, pathetic mess. Offensively the game has a lot of good things going on, but the fact that defending is literally broken, I can not recommend this game to anyone aside from the most die hard of FIFA players.     I’ve played this game since 15 version and think that there is a lot of difference between them but in this year it is a huge step back. It feels like in this company works artists and no any developers.     The main reason of my 3 times burned butt is the ea logic: for example you have mainstream game mode fut, so you have to do every single part of it that gamers want to play it more and more. But what we have here? They merged weekend champions league with division rivals games. So we have to choose what to do play 30 games of dr and 30 games of wl in 3 days because it is the only option to take all benefits from these mods or choose between these modes which one will use 30 point profit games. Seriously? I’ve just started
    What the football team is? 11 players that participate in the derby? Nah it’s just 10. There is no goalkeeper in there. These dumbasses forgot to take him hands and any quite reason to play normally. THIS POSITION SUCKS EA!     These players have stats. Another applauses to artists. These digits means nothing, literally. You can see how 99 long shot addicted player hit the 4th post in the game and meanwhile some broken bastard with 50 shooting lay down the ball from 20m right in your cheek. Or when slow player overrun your brand new pacey player. Riiiight.
    Also take this **** burger of digits, combine it with dumb ai sauce and you will feel that you have never ever eat this **** till your hears. Ai is so dumb that when the ball slightly walked near the player... he passed this player. No any reaction attempts, it does nothing, no matter 94 player or 77, dumb as f0ck.

    Special cards - is like buff to any current card but it is not an option for defenders, a little bit less for midfielders and in priority for strikers. Why? Because of ea logic again? What strikers makes the greatest? Score a goal. And that logic ends here. To be the greatest defender in this game and get inform player must score in real game? No matter how awesome he performs in defence, nope, no 2 goals - no cards. Jeez, it is like if strikers get inform for how much it saves in the square    … Expand

    I only play pro clubs mode on fifa as I have done for years, so my review is based solely on that. I've seen people say on here its the same as fifa 20, as far as pro clubs goes thats not the case. Clubs on fifa 21 is only playable if all you do is have a tall striker and wingers who endlessly cross the ball into the box. The ai players who are higher rated are completely useless and theI only play pro clubs mode on fifa as I have done for years, so my review is based solely on that. I've seen people say on here its the same as fifa 20, as far as pro clubs goes thats not the case. Clubs on fifa 21 is only playable if all you do is have a tall striker and wingers who endlessly cross the ball into the box. The ai players who are higher rated are completely useless and the tactics are totally broken, which was supposed to be a new feature on clubs this year. Even though I am not a staunch critic of EA but this complete lack of innovation has caused me to put only 2 hours of gameplay into it (yes that includes ultimate team and career mode plus kick-off). I can not force myself to play this game anymore. I find no redeeming factors in this game. And did I mention they imported some bugs fromFifa 21 and Fifa 20 are essentially the same game.     The game is the same since FIFA 17, the mechanics are horrible, the gameplay is terrible. The servers are terrible and make the game even less playable, when playing online. It will be my last FIFA, EA is just interested on making money through ultimate team micro transactions.

    this game is a copy of the previous "fifa 20" which is a copy of "fifa 19" which is a copy of "fifa 18" does not change anything I do not recommend, if you want to play "fifa" play "fifa 19" q is the same thing only cheaper.

    Fifa 20 version 2 but worse. Defence doesnt exist, every game is goal festival with results 8:6 etc...Volta is pointless, Carrer mode has some new additions but its boring, FUT is there just to make EA money. Basically its pointless to have player with high passing, driblling, stamina etc, only important is PACE. PACE PACE PACE, this game is a joke.

    This game is garbage. They have had the same engine which is garbage for almost 4 years, it is a disgrace. The gameplay is awful, sometimes the player I am controlling will stop moving, it is so frustrating to play. I don't recommend this game

    They're always looking for the easiest way to make a game, look at the cover, it's literally the first photos you find on google when you search Mbappe, all just cropped together on Microsoft Paint, we, as players, really deserve better.

    Every year they have issues with the game and every year they don't fix it, just lost a game 6 5 with two of his goals being scored because, while i was tackling him, the game decided to switch my player and let him score AND THEN Emilio Butragueno who is somewhere about 1.75 scores a header over my Alisson (1.91) who was also jumping and using his hands. Nice game

    This game is a pile of hot ass. Not only does it offer little to no improvements like Morata going to chelsea, but it seems to get worse the more you look at it. EA with their stupid micro transactions continues to raise the price and ensure that persons who don't want to go that route are starved of good players. Absolute **** of a game in every aspect.

    Nothing new in game play about improvements. The news skills and nothing is the same thing ... Same scripts and bugs of Fifa20. Bad experience for players.

    During first 3 weeks game was quite good. I mean - compared to last FIFA 20 it was good. But every year EA tends to kill the game by stupid patches. Last patch literally killed the game. Skill gap actually isn't exist at all. I’m a talented player and won the division 1 in all the previous Fifa games at least 10-15 times in this one i’m on my 37th consecutive loss !! I mean WTF ! It is true that the 2020 version was not good, but it was at least playable. Before you play fifa 21, you should forget everything you know about soccer and soccer video games. There is no defense or goalkeeper in fifa 21. Scores such 8 x 8 are common. II am a big soccer fan. I play soccer games since intl supper star soccer on the snes.     Shocking game. Tackle the player, bounces back to opposition and repeats until they score. So many other problems. Servers slow and broken. 1.5billion made on ultimate team and can only win if you buy points. Will be buying PES only next year.

    Fifa 19 was bad, fifa 20 was worse and somehow fifa 21 is the worst! Absolutely riddled with bugs that is making it impossible for me to play fifa 21. Every year it feels like I'm buying a game that isn't complete. We end up waiting several months for updates to fix certain problems to make the game playable. This game isn't worth £60 simple as that.

    I gave this a chance, after not playing FIFA for some years. Nothing have chanced at all for most of the game modes. To get a good team in the most popular modes, you either have to grind for way to long, or pay money for loot boxes.
    The Volta mode i kinda fun, but you get too good teammates too fast for it to be any challenge... before i finished the story mode and got the legends, my    I gave this a chance, after not playing FIFA for some years. Nothing have chanced at all for most of the game modes. To get a good team in the most popular modes, you either have to grind for way to long, or pay money for loot boxes.

Some other years have brought in new things, such as the champions league and certified leagues. But this game has absolutely nothing new offer but an absolute attack focused game.     Where do you start with yet another disappointment of a game. Just the same game re-packaged, new kits and not much else. Not a fan of ultimate team so very happy to see career mode was getting a "revamp", sadly not much changed. EA congratulations, outdone yourselves.

    The worst fifa i’ve tried in years. All the bucks and fails, is bothering me so much. Your opponent can litteraly win against you from 4 **** goals, because of the stupid things that happens in the game. Please listen to your customers and do something. Im very dissapointed...

    Worst fifa by far, defending non-existent, each game i play online finishes with at least 4,5 goals for each side. Only way to play it is ultra attacking, and hope to score more goals than the opponent. Sadly this has become a game of pure luck and not skill. I sure miss my fifa 12 and fifa 15 on ps3.

    If we as FIFA community are going to keep buying 60-70euros of the same game with minor unreasonable changes, EA are going to keep doing it the same way, which is nothing. They fix ball control from Fifa 20 yet introduce non existent goal keepers that can't dive into a cross, that's coming across goal? What about Pro Clubs? No fix on chip shots yet chip through balls aren't working either.

The game can't physically handle how quick we need to change players and manages to change to someone nowhere near the ball? They're so focussed on bringing out packs and OTW's, SBC's etc.. to rake money in - but never seem to fix the issues at heart? Money grabbing EA as usual.     Terrible game. Forces crap teams/ players to win with last second/ miracle goals. Makes defenders foul or ignore the ball. Doesn't allow you to select players you desire to control often. All in the name of having you buy packs and spending money

    Same game over and over the years, only game mode worth playing is FUT and is done for pro players or youtubers or influencers, the common gamer doenst get any fun with the game. As long as ea sports has the competitive players on their side by gifting them the game and multiple advantages in game FIFA is unplayable and just not fun

    Pretty bad. Clearly using DDA (dynamic difficulty adjustment) in order to sell the famous loot boxes. I have been playing video games since the early 80s (yes I am that old lol) and I have never faced a game that does that so "in your face". I can't stress enough how much I wanted to like it... But takes me 15 minutes to give up...

    Worse fifa ive played. The scripting in the game is next level. You csn play someone who is awful at the game and still lose. No skill is needed to win anymore pointless for the weekend league. If you are looking to have a early grave this is the game for you because it will drive you insane with the amount of bs in this game. Well done EA for making another awful scripted game

    Disappointing gameplay caused by scripts and poor referee decisions. Gameplay varies from game to game, and its noticeable on the speed of players, also many thing are overpowered thus making the game unrealistic, referees don’t seem to be able to differentiate a red card, a yellow card, a verbal warning, and when is a second yellow card deserved

    I think this has to be one of the worst fifa to date for online play. It almost impossible at times to defend. The game requires you to simultaneously watch the ball holder and follow runs aswell. This game has no defensive AI at all! players dont track the opposition at all they just at times simply run through the defence with no real help.     Game for fans who either need to work online at FUT every day, or instead want to try a modified career mode, which is starting to really look like Football Manager. Otherwise, it's a decent update for the full price. [Issue#307]

    The FIFA series desperately needs a fresh start. Right now, it relies mainly on the Ultimate Team mode and marketing, while going around in circles. Instead of leaping into the future, FIFA 21 takes half a step forward and two steps sideways in an attempt to differentiate itself from its predecessor well enough to rationalize spending money. If you already own FIFA 20 and are not addicted to Ultimate Team, you can sit this one out. [12/2020, p.44]
