    This is a true review instead of just trying to bash the game. EA are really trying to promote Volta as the mode to play this year and although it is fun for a few hours, it does not have enough to hold a players interest.

    FUT is the big seller and EA know this, they have added a co-op mode to this which is a nice touch but this is as far as compliments can go about this game. My favourite mode of fifa is pro clubs with my friends and this is the same that has been for the last 4 years, there’s a bug that doesn’t show the right kit that existed in fifa 20 and guess what... it’s still here, how lazy can you get. Career mode has no personality and seems to be bottom of EA’s priorities, with the game having features return and claim to be new additions. Game scanned faces are the same ones from years ago, with only champions league clubs seeming to be the ones that ever get any attention. This game may as well be a patch update from Fifa 20, EA will never change unless someone comes to disrupt the market and with how licensing works I don’t think that will ever change.    … Expand

    This game has never been improoved by EA. Same **** every year. The physics are terrible, the gameplay is scripted,the p2w system is hilarious in a game that cost you at least 70 euros in its base version. This is the last time i brought a Fifa in my life. Next year it s time to go on PES.

    So I was really going to give this game a high rating because the game feels pretty smooth and graphics are good, and I've gotten to be a decent Fifa player, not great by any means. But when playing FUT during the WEEKEND LEAGUE, it just feels like my guys are not as fluid or fast as the other players, I'm not sure how a player with a 99 pace get caught from someone with 72?     I bought this game to play fut, to play online but this game is umplayable unless you haver a server near you. The lag is horrible. I would avoid at all cost if you are planing on playing online and do not have a server near you.

    Since Fifa 2019 it's just going backwards, teammates getting stupider every year. Goal keeper is somewhere lost in space.
    Ball drops next to the player ant he just looks at it while the oponent takes it. Every shot gets blocked, goal keeper is out, one player is on the line and my one is shooting direct to the oponent player.. .

    This has to be the all time worst fifa, and personally the worst game I have ever played. The mechanics the way fifa used to be played doesn’t exist anymore. The game isn’t about football anymore, position and timing don’t matter anymore. Everyone plays the same because the game only favors one type of play style. Absolutely terrible, really regret spending my money of it.

    Needs far more balance in the game. Stop making it about speed every year - There should be benefits by playing with a slower but stronger squad (ie. Long ball benefits).     Split FIFA from Ultimate team - EA make hundreds of millions on that format alone and UT is all they'll invest in.     Regret buying this game already and only played it for a day, I love career mode but am unable to play it as anytime I simulate a match I can guarantee at least two severe injuries with the injured players out for at least two months. Pathetic game from a pathetic money grabbing t*** of a company.

    As a FIFA player since 2002 and its as if FIFA is simply getting worse year in and out. The gameplay is quite mediocre and has no realism at all. THE DYNAMICS ARE ABYSMAL! Can't believe they would rob someone out of $100 for a version of ultimate team that is the worst thing I've ever played. Should have saved my money or maybe a transition in to PES is needed now.

    Tackling is horrifying, you tackle and the ball is just put in a 50/50 situation with 99% of the time your defender blanking and leaving it there. Scripting is still here of course and don't even get me started on the AI or lack of. Best one so far is having my opponent come 1 v 2 and my 2 defenders just wanted to go check how the sidelines were doing. Even a pass going by less than 30cm from a defenders foot and doesnt even bother to intercept it.

    I've been buying fifa since 09 now - this is my last one (including all other EA games). Very disappointed i can't sell it as I bought the digital version.    … Expand

Any hint of realistic game play has been done away with to appease players that were unhappy last year with the pace system. Games can still feel scripted.     This game is simply dreadful. Don't waste your money. EA doesn't deserve it. The same crappy game we already know with a different cover. Not only the gameplay is bad, but the ratings are ridiculous. Take FC Bayern for example: They won the Treble and every single player of the team bar Neuer, Lewa and Kimmich got downgraded.     Pay to win makes it a very unlevel playing field in online modes, career mode is severely lacking any changes for the last four years, club teams in lower leagues missing sponsors and is not an good experience. Feel like I've wasted £55 pound and I've only had the game 4 days! If you want to win online you have to fill EA Sports pockets with a ton more money which I refuse to do!     U play soccer in this. It's a sport. Also, fifa is a big reason the playstation got off. For me, that was the end of nerd culture in a small way, the time when the big companies turned their back on the nerds to cater to the jocks and bullies. I hate this with all that i am.

    Game for fans who either need to work online at FUT every day, or instead want to try a modified career mode, which is starting to really look like Football Manager. Otherwise, it's a decent update for the full price. [Issue#307]

    The FIFA series desperately needs a fresh start. Right now, it relies mainly on the Ultimate Team mode and marketing, while going around in circles. Instead of leaping into the future, FIFA 21 takes half a step forward and two steps sideways in an attempt to differentiate itself from its predecessor well enough to rationalize spending money. If you already own FIFA 20 and are not addicted to Ultimate Team, you can sit this one out. [12/2020, p.44]
