    Easy cash-in for Ubisoft before the inevitable cross-gen FC6 next year.

    - lazy re-use of the Far Cry 5 map
    - the game pretends to be post-apocalyptic, but honestly the differences compared to base FC5 are minimal
    - bullet sponge enemies and pointless rpg elements
    - worse graphics than base FC5 game

    Re-used Far Cry 5 locations with sunny-rainbow post-apocalypse land. 40$ for re-used DLC? No, thank you.

    Racism, stupid story and bad characters is included. Do not waste your money for this game.
    Ubisoft is just want to make some trash game under good franchise to make money on fans.

    This production is a really shame...is trash..a long dlc of far cry 5...an ugly dlc...a scandalous dlc... ehi ubisoft u like money? Yes i too! but .. Its time to say STOP to rpg element in everywhere and in classic brand...after assassins creed now alredy far cry is ruined to invadent rpg element... ...shame ! shame! shame!

    Whoever is directing this train-wreck needs to be fired. Don't waste your money. The franchise peaked at 3 & 4 as an artform. FC5 and the New Dawn reskin are a downgrade and obvious money grab. Even Dunia is worse.

    This title is totally trash, this is even worst than AC Syndicate in my opinion. All ubisoft games look and works the same: go to the point A, go to the point B, attack enemy base, free hostages etc etc it is so boring and repeatable ... Hope they start listen players ... someday and not making mistake like FC New Dawn again.

    Literally the best thing about this game is the nice looking cutscenes (on the rare occasion they actually make sense). The story writing is absolutely disastrous, theres a part where after killing a bunch of 'enemies' you go and confront the twins, BUT FIRST LET'S SURRENDER ALL YOUR WEAPONS its sooo stupid Ubisoft NEEDS NEW WRITERS SOOOO BAD (across basically all their games..) Its anLiterally the best thing about this game is the nice looking cutscenes (on the rare occasion they actually make sense). The story writing is absolutely disastrous, theres a part where after killing a bunch of 'enemies' you go and confront the twins, BUT FIRST LET'S SURRENDER ALL YOUR WEAPONS its sooo stupid Ubisoft NEEDS NEW WRITERS SOOOO BAD (across basically all their games..) Its an RPG with legit 4 'Levels"... so your either 1 shotting things, or doing absoutely 0 damage with a shotgun blast to the face unless you have the same level gun as the enemies.. There was multiple times when I downgraded my guns and swapped back to ones I have unlocked ages ago just so that I wasn't killing everything with 1 smg bullet. Was a big fan of FarCry 5 (best since 3) but this is just a joke tbh. It seems soooo rushed and uninspired its not even funny. God I hope they can drop all this **** for 6 and make it good because I normally love FarCry games. Trading this garbage in tomorrow… Expand

    It's a shallow RPG with a far cry skin. Instead of a massive open world playground, you are now boxed into areas with enemies you can currently kill. No gun customization and boring skills for things we already have access too in previous games.

    Ubisoft took cues for EA/Bethesda/Blizzard to milk its audience before the get wise to their assembly line method of rolling out quasi completed or reskin versions of their past successes.

    Now don't get me wrong: sometimes a sequel like this works out: take for example Far Cry 3: dragon blood. In retrospect, that was a success compared to this abysmal mess.

    It is literally the entire game of Far Cry 5 reskinned with a fallout-like-mod for post apocalyptic world

    If this came out for $15 dollars it would have been fine...This should have been the DLC we waited for...    … Expand

    That Game is simply not good. Sorry but this story is a shame, bought the game for 15€ and that‘s still too much.

    Honestly, it is purely a cash grab game, Buy this cheap if you absolutely looking into trying it.
    What i found hard with this game is finding and having powerful enough weapons to start with. You number one priority is to level up your weapon grade. Enemies are bulletsponges to start with. But once you hit the legendary weapons to    Ubisoft are so lazy that they just use the same map now.
    Honestly, it is purely a cash grab game, Buy this cheap if you absolutely looking into trying it.
    What i found hard with this game is finding and having powerful enough weapons to start with. You number one priority is to level up your weapon grade. Enemies are bulletsponges to start with. But once you hit the legendary weapons to craft they get fairly easy to put down. Even the wildlife attacking you demands 2 boxes of shotgun shells to be put down to start with.
    I found the whole game to be very uneven. Enemies does not level up as you do. They are tough as nails in the beginning but super easy in the end.
    There is not much collectibles on this map that Ubisoft is known to litter it with. Due to the short story, you find everything else excess once it's over.
    The more fun aspect of this game are the Expedition missions which takes you to a whole different map out of Hope County. There are 5 of them, but even those gets repetetive pretty quick as they have the same mission every time.
    Like the original Far Cry 5, you have allies to join you. A total of 6 braindead characters with low AI, one dog and one boar (?) (Yes Hurk does a comeback once again as one of them) But i had only used half of them when i was done. Never bothered to use the others. If you want to be flexible with allies, get them early in the game.
    Voice acting is usually dreadful. no biggie there.
    Combat itself is a mess. Totally disorientating once the heat starts building up. Because of the glittering fauna around you sort of blinds your sight you can barely see anything once bullet starts flying. if you are in the hole getting fired on from all sides, just run and hide.
    I am going to finish it as there are little else to play now. Once done with the story. Grind a little more for no reason. finish the expedition on all levels for some achievements and delete the whole thing from the drive.

    the worst game in the series. weapons and enemies have tiers = only high tier weapons can kill enemies. Taking cover, running, aiming and shooting mean nothing, because if you don't have a high tier weapon, you can't kill enemies. this game is like a retarded imitation of borderlands

    Являюсь любителем серии еще с давних времен, каждую часть проходил неоднократно. Даже не смотря на всеобщий фанатизм к третьей части, считаю, что пятая ничуть не хуже. Даже Primal мне очень понравился, но вот с New Dawn ситуация далеко не такая радужная. В целом игра любопытная, хоть и абсолютно одноразовая. Я иду по карте, вижу рядом тайник, с чувством предвкушения мчусь решать загадку, а там встречаю трех штурмовиков третьего уровня. И даже если им в упор в лицо из пулемета катушку высадить - им почти ни царапины, а меня они с двух попаданий уничтожают. И вот ты сидишь такой и думаешь: что это за херня? Это дивижн что ли? Да даже в дивижн такой херни не было. Отдельная история с прокачкой. Качай медотсек, качай оружейную, качай сад, качай картографа, качай солдат, качай всё, а еще качай персонажа. Теперь простейшие вещи, типа фаст тревела тоже нужно качать и требует это всё невероятного количества очков. А почему? Потому что вот магазин юбисофт, зайди и за 1500 рублей купи очков себе на пару прокачек, а потом еще и еще и еще раз. Игру затягивают как могут. Взяли половину карты пятого фаркрая и точек на ней поставили в 20 раз меньше. В итоге как ни крути - приходится наматывать километры от точки до точки, собирать тонны всякого ненужного барахла, чтобы хоть на патроны хватило. Вывод такой: как эксперимент такое простить можно, игра сносная. Но как шаг в развитии серии - это отвратительно. Я очень любил фаркрай, всегда предзаказывал новые части, но если теперь серия будет двигаться в таком направлении - мне это не интересно и играть я в это не буду. И надеюсь, все здравомыслящие люди отнесутся к этому так же и не дадут запороть великолепную франшизу унылым гриндом.… Expand

    More of the same garbage being put out with the Far Cry name on it. If you like gay looking games with lots of pink this is a perfect game for you. They used the same map and aged the characters 17 years. Even at $40 it is overpriced.

    Why this game? Far Cry 3 was really good, FC4 For me the best Far Cry game, FC 5 **** hunting, no radio towers, no ragdoll after explosions. Please stop killing this game UBI!!! :(

    I do not know where can I start, as a Far Cry series fan obviously. This game is something totally different from all the previous series.

    What drives me nuts? First of all - lack of press&hold for crouch button. This cut-off is driving me crazy. It is impossible now to slide properly or go totally stealth when you got used to the classic FPS, or so Far Cry keyboard and mouse specific    I do not know where can I start, as a Far Cry series fan obviously. This game is something totally different from all the previous series.

    I'm not going to say more to not spoil the whole game, because THIS is not something I was waiting for and sadly, I'm gonna apply for a refund. This is not Far Cry - this is some sad and boring experiment that costs 40 bucks and it's not worth it.    … Expand

I just wanted to throw this out there that you pay 60€/$ for a f*cking DLC. Since Far Cry 5 was trash, this is also going to be trash. My advice: Do not spend 60 bucks on a full priced DLC.     1 - редкое дерьмо, ещё скучнее чем FC 5

    Pretty terrible. Short story. Annoying & uninteresting characters. Reused assets galore, poorly implemented. Shallow RPG elements. Small reused map & locations. Microtransactions. Terrible AI. Stale graphics engine & movement system that's not evolved in 5-6yrs.

    This game is nothing but a cash-grab pure & simple. A game nobody asked for.

    Far Cry New Dawn does everything you'd expect from a Far Cry title. However, it failed to deliver the same level of polish and enjoyment its predecessor enjoyed, and while it’s still packed with buckets of fun, I couldn't help shake the feeling that I’ve done all this before.

    New Dawn is a clearing of the air after Far Cry 5, but calling it a "new dawn" is preposterous. What we have here is a sideways hop, a purgatory of a sequel in a series that has no idea what to do with itself, beyond giving you another mapful of nodes to flip. [Issue#331, p.116]
