The weapon sounds are terrible - worse than on PS3 - and there is massive input lag when moving and aiming, which makes things very frustrating. The physics of vehicles seem far, far worse compared to the original, and the number of times Ive had a car or quadbike rocket away into the bushes, or seen NPCs in cars completely out of control, is embarrassing. Boring, typical and stuffed as ubisoft knows how to do. The story is typical and cliche, with various mindless actions and decisions, typical missions to endure enemies or rare, with dreams and magic potions. Vaas is a pretty bad villain and hoyt a little better but still, friends are hateful, like all characters.

Perhaps in his year of departure all this was not so evident but today he has aged very badly. There is nothing that stands out for the better.

Some thought this game was a remake, as it says on the cover, it's the classic version, not a remake, I think the game is good, so you can buy it, but it would be nice if the optimization was better and it's not too expensive so it's not over $30 but they rushed it as usual I wish the optimization was better ubioft lazy as always. It would be great if he brought a blood dragon with him. Expand

I'll be quick, that “classical edition” is a joke for these who played Far Cry 3 on PS3/X360, Because on PS4 it seems even worst, even the textures and lighting itself, the FPS wasn't that big deal as well, it'd stay under 25 most of time which makes that game totally unplayable, definitely doesn't worth it, if you're seeking to play it please pick up another platform instead

Terrible port. The input lag, motion blur, and the unoptimized framerate on the ps5 makes the game unplayable. I am sad that I spent money thinking I would experience a classic. I shut it off after an hour. Aiming is impossible, the guns shoot like a money printer, aiming feels terrible, and the framerate makes it impossible to enjoy.

    It's a damn shame.

Far Cry 3 fell far short of my expectations, leaving me sorely disappointed. The storyline and characters were painfully lackluster, making little sense and failing to engage me. Despite the promise of stealth gameplay, the game often steers you towards a Rambo-style approach in certain missions. The touted freedom and exploration were underwhelming; I tried to parachute into "The Compound" but found myself repelled by an invisible forcefield when attempting to fly over the wall. Moreover, the constant gameover screens for straying just a few meters from the mission waypoint seriously disrupted my immersion. The only thing i found to be on the positive side was the gunplay. Overall, it was a frustrating letdown that failed to reach its potential.

Far Cry 3 still offers damn good time, and the Classic Edition is a great way to revisit Ubisoft’s influential classic or dive into it with fresh eyes. The tried-and-tested formula has advanced in recent years, leaving some aspects of Far Cry 3 to feel aged and inconsiderate, which could be too high a hurdle for newcomers to overcome.

Far Cry 3 Classic Edition is a compelling journey into the past of the Ubisoft series. The game is still solid and enjoyable, full of things to do while exploring the island, but the remaster could have been better.

This is a very straightforward port of Far Cry 3, a game loved and loathed in equal measure. The Classic Edition is a great way for newcomers to experience one of the best games in the series, despite some clunky controls. Many people will have made up their mind about Jason's journey years ago, but on its own merit, this is a competent re-release of a fun, if a little dated, open world shooter.
