    Forget the idiots giving this game a negative rating. They probably don't even own Pes2020.

    On a serious note the game is amazing. Its football at its finest. Install an option file and you are sorted with licencing issues.

    Quality game! Master League is a dream, no issues with transfers, good challenge with signing players. Gameplay is superb, physicality is awesome, feels like you're in a real tussle. You have the ability to play different styles of play, top drawer!!!

    AMAZING! This is the first pes game I've played and owned..... And my goodness what a game. I've been playing FIFA for over 13 years. I must say this is the best football game I have ever played. The authenticity is absolutely remarkable. It actually feels like youre playing football. Thank you KONAMI

    A true football simulation. A return to form and back in front of FIFA for the first time since the PS2 days, The physics of the ball are sublime and scoring goals is truly rewarding. Do yourself a favour and pick this up. It really is the beautiful game.

    No football game is perfect but this is close. Every match feels different, gameplay is top notch. I haven't enjoyed playing a football game as much as this and cant wait to see where they take it next on ps5

    Definitely the best playing PES in a while. Feels like the glory days of PS2. The thing about PES is this. It's all about the goals. The variety of goals you will see yourself and the computer score is astounding. You will never see the same goal twice. You may see similar types of goals, which true of real life futbol as well, but never an exact copy of a goal. That's something KonamiDefinitely the best playing PES in a while. That's something Konami gets right with PES and this year the goals are better than ever.

    I'm giving the game an 8 though legacy inconsistencies remain and at this point they should have been ironed out. Defending and trapping control issues remain and on higher difficulties it seems as the game takes over at times and your players don't respond as well. It's get frustrating sometimes because it doesn't feel fair when you get scored on in a close match due to AI limiting your own players.
    However, this is the same issue that's always plagued PES. I've learned to live with it and fully enjoy the game. Also, you still need an option file but this year they really packed in a lot of smaller leagues so it all feels much more official. You'll only need options for a few missing kits honestly, but's still a pain to set up.

    Another minus is the refs have apparently disappeared again this year but the CPU will get all the calls it needs to set up multiple free kicks just outside your box. CPU free kicks are automatic unless you get lucky and knock it back with a wall jump.

    For all the glitchy AI problems though, Konami made sure the goalies were revamped and you can really see a difference. They rarely allow any shady goals and top goalies are a terror in some games. A good goalie can save a match for you or vice versa as the cpu goalies are tough.

    I think this is the best PES in years and I've pretty much played them all. I'll stick with it for a while but it does have it's issues on the field. Still, it's better than FIfa on the pitch and the revamped ML is pretty fun as always, but no major renovations there. Just a few changes to the presentation that bring the mode to life a bit. I would highly recommend this game for any footy fan since it hits where it counts, in the game-play department. And despite my annoyance with some of the AI inconsistencies, this is still the most polished version of PES I have played yet.

    PS. I've been reading a lot of the negative reviews. Not sure where some of these people are coming from except that yes there are a few scripting/control issues which are legacy PES issues. AI certainly does not score every shot and the goalies are very good in this game. Gameplay is pretty fluid and responsive for the most part. The issue of scripting is completely overblown by these negative reviewers in my opinion.    … Expand

    the best PES ever for me, coz' game has lots of improvements if we compare it to previous one. also graphics looks amazing as always. ofc there are quite of bugs n' things that have to be improved. but I think that Konami will fix that kind of mistakes as soon as it possible. coz' we all wanna see the best football simulator ever. peace!

    I’ve been a FIFA player all my life, this is the first PES game i play and it’s completely amazing, it has nothing to do with fifa, in this way it’s like fifa is an arcade game made for 5 year old kids.     The gameplay is absolutely amazing apart from a few bugs but it's much ahead of FIFAs repetitive gameplay, the master league mode is much improved and is more challenging than ever, the online is okay and the rival match day mode is great

    The game is solid. Great graphics. Fast and easy menus. (Little dated tho) SolidMaster League experience (career mode) Its not that its amazing compared to recent PES games,its just that compared to the last years FIFA THIS is the only football (soccer) game thats worth your money.

    This is just facts.

    The score i would give is a 8. But will submit a 10 because so many IDIOTS give it a 0.

    Great game, if you want a realistic feel to football then this is the game, be prepared to think about where you are going to pass the ball, how you will break down the defence. With the option files you cannot go wrong! If you want the arcade feel then go for Fifa 20.

    This year KONAMI made a lot of improvements,PES never had any real problems with game-play and graphics ,this year at the beginning referee was a bit retarded blowing whistle for every single thing while letting a rugby like tackle slide on the other hand,this was fixed with the 1st update.

    KONAMI also did some work on edit part ,where generic team names were replaced with names of the cities making it a lot easier to find your club rather then browsing through Merseyside Red and Blue,also kit colours actually match the real colours of the teams ,there is also an easy fix for unlicensed teams called Option files ,allowing you to install custom logos and kits fixing the unlicensed part of the game.(Microsoft prevents use of third party files so this unfortunetly doesn't apply for Xbox)
    Master league is amazing ,konami followed EA in addition of press conference interactive scenes where you answer the questions.
    MyClub is still behind Ultimate team but closing the gap ,it's a lot easier to build the team in MyClub.
    The parts where Konami can and hopefully will improve are presentation for licensed leagues ,like scoreboards and league graphic.
    Commentary needs to be a bit better as it seams like Peter Drury is having a delayed reaction to what is happening on the pitch.

    I dont buy PES since the 2012 edition, but this year they really improve, the gameplay its awesome, it give you a great experience, graphics arent the best, but the first thing makes me consider to buy it after a long time, in addition to FIFA 20 embarrasing starting.

    Realistic moves, realistic players, realistic stadiums.
    Has a few bugs, wich does not impacts in the gameplay experience.
    Not perfect, but close to.
    A huge advancement from last edition.
    I Left FIFA bugged series to join PES and saved money and gained happiness moments.
    PES is evolving every year. Fifa is doing the opposite, since 18 edition.

    Since the resurgence if PES back in 2015 it looks like Konami have done a really decent job with this installment.

    Not a big fan of the online aspects of this as MyClub is just confusing.

    However as what I've done this year as every year, I have a fully licensed PES and this is because of the massive and really talented devoted community making top quality Option Files. Master League never disappoints but this year feel even better with a step in the right direction

    And to compare it with Fifa'20 career mode, which is in a shambles, this is way better.

    PES 20 has much better gameplay than FIFA. The passing and shooting is better. It does not bother me that it does not include some of the teams names since it still has all of the updated players. I highly recommend to buy PES instead of FIFA.

    This year i wents back to the roots, PES 2020 is a very good game. I really wish they get the teams licences in the future PES games (not in a hurry) and enhence the online experience.

    Excellent gameplay, with smooth responsive controls. It punishes inexperience in some areas, notably around freekicks, where it gives you options for both jumping the wall and directing your keeper. Passing in general is realistic and smooth when done right, but ultimately how you fare will depend on how you do in the tactical battle against opponents.

    The AI is quite adaptive with how they deal with you. If you get too one dimensional, most opponents will work you out and stifle you. They will look for weaknesses, and if you have glaring ones, they will be found.

    Excellent graphics as ever from the series, and the quality and coverage of faces is the best of any football game ever released.

    The improvements to licensing and editing is also notable, with a number of new teams in the series. Notably, the return of Juventus, Bayern and Manchester United are good to see. With a licenced Serie A, and Serie B, it is the most complete Italian football experience out there are the moment.

    The game will also be the official game of Euro 2020, with a free DLC coming later in the year. Notably, however, all European nations are already in the game and full licenced. This is the first time this has ever happened for a football game, with all previous Euro games not having all teams licenced. PES 2016 had all real players, but some unlicenced teams in the competition, and many European sides missing. Euro 2012 by EA didn't even having both of the hosts licenced, one not even having real players. PES 2020 already has everybody, including Andorra, Gilbraltar, etc. It will be interesting to see the final version of the mode.

    MyClub is fun, but if that's all you're really into it, it would be worth playing PESLite first instead. The game is so much more than it's cashgrab online mode, which seems a requirement in modern sports gaming for whatever reason.

    The online itself is fun, but the game really shines offline. I would recommend it to anyone who misses the days career mode being the main mode in football games.

    - Gameplay muito boa, muito melhor do que a do jogo passado, priorizando a posse de bola
    - Os gráficos melhoraram em relação ao anterior

    The gameplay is better than never cause of the new finesse dribling system andthe new camera angle.
    The worst thing is.my club/ online mode. This mode is way too easy and not challenging.

    Nice to drible and enjoyable! Better then ever, you can edit everything, flags, names, import images by usb. The game play is hard if you do not know how to play, but if you pass, know how send players ahead, drible and get position to shoot, it is easy.

    Ok guys. I've been a fifa fan my entire life. only in the past year have i started to enjoy PES. This game is simply amazing. I love the way they put so much effort into the master league this season. something fifa has forgot about. Career mode is something i loved and played every year on fifa. But i got sick of it to be honest because they started putting more time and effort into thatOk guys. I've been a fifa fan my entire life. only in the past year have i started to enjoy PES.     This is the best football game ever created. There are a lot of improvements in gameplay mechanics as well as in other modes such as master league.

    As someone who tries both PES and FIFA every single year, I'm of the opinion that this PES is really good. Yes, it is true that the game modes haven't changed much and the whole menu system is still far from brilliant (despite the clear improvements). Also, the Master League (my favourite mode) fails to add anything really interesting even with the new Manager story-like thing. Also, the Master League (my favourite mode) fails to add anything really interesting even with the new Manager story-like thing. But the main thing here is the actual gameplay, as usual. Controls and overall ball behaviour feels a tad more realistic than previously, with more chaotic and unexpected situations (just like real football). Playing versus the CPU does not feel too boring, as they go quite straight to the offense just like a human user would do, not frustratingly passing the ball around their defenders. Playing couch coop is fun as it always was in the old classic PES, and the graphics, phyics, player models... all really good.
    Ah, and the licence thing... just download the patches ;)

    I think this game is great. The movement of the players with / without the ball, the teammates looking for spaces.. inside the pitch, everything works fine.

    The Game is excellent, reminding me how good was this franchise years ago!, for me this year the buy is so clear.. Pes 2020 have my vote, and my cash xD!

    PES vem melhorando desde o 2018 e nesse 2020 percebo uma pequena melhoria.
    Talvez a Konami esteja indo pelo caminho certo, mais alguns pequenos ajustes como "licenças" e o jogo volta a ser igual era no começo do PS3.

    The 2020 edition is the most realistic virtual football I have ever encountered. After learning the gameplay’s basics you get a lot of fun and each passing hour makes it even better. Shame that after finishing the career, checking out the multiplayer and playing a few exhibition matches there is nothing left to do here. [12/2019, p.64]
