    Eagle Flight is an essential purchase for VR owners if you enjoy the challenge of reaching low enough flight times to collect the 3 stars per level. I would also classify it as the title that could persuade PS4 owners who are on the fence, and are waiting for that one worthwhile title to purchase the PSVR headset. There's a definite thrill in maneuvering through tight spaces at high speedsEagle Flight is an essential purchase for VR owners if you enjoy the challenge of reaching low enough flight times to collect the 3 stars per level. I would also classify it as the title that could persuade PS4 owners who are on the fence, and are waiting for that one worthwhile title to purchase the PSVR headset. There's a definite thrill in maneuvering through tight spaces at high speeds that just doesn't wear off, and collecting all 3 stars per level, plus some free flying that you'll want to do in between, will net you around 7 hours of single player campaigning at least. Factor in the multiplayer, and the game is extended further. Seeing the 'faux' paris under different weather conditions as the story progresses is a treat. The music design suits the game perfectly. There are a couple of drawbacks, the main ones being Ubisoft cut back on the immersion in 2 ways. They seem to have dialed down the stereoscopic effect in the open areas of paris, and dial it back up a little when in tighter spaces. This is significant, and means the game won't sell you on the immersion side of VR. The other is more subtle and doesn't bother me one bit: Ubisoft reduced the FOV by adding an eagles beak and part of the face at the bottom of your vision, and some feathers at the top (you're literally looking through the eyes of an eagle) and further reduce the FOV when pulling off tight turns by blacking out the edge of the screen. You may know of this effect already, but in truth, you're too busy looking in the direction you're flying most of the time to even notice it, and the thrills mentioned above without ever feeling any discomfort much more than make up for it.… Expand

    This is a perfect game for VR. Quickly you are in diving under bridges, slaloming trees and lamposts, its just a fun time with no motion sickness and you soon just ignore the FoV changes.

    The mini games / challenges offer a really good variety and has a good learning curve. Flying through check points is for the first time a lot of fun, the duels with other birds is basically dog    This is a perfect game for VR. Quickly you are in diving under bridges, slaloming trees and lamposts, its just a fun time with no motion sickness and you soon just ignore the FoV changes.

    The mini games / challenges offer a really good variety and has a good learning curve. Flying through check points is for the first time a lot of fun, the duels with other birds is basically dog fighting and its great. Some mini games are over-used and infuriating though, most notably the tunnels!

    The fast paced flying is actually very intuitive and prevents boredom. The collectibles give purpose to your aimless flying around to which is fun on its own anyway.

    The multiplayer is great fun too, I'd like to see more game modes here though.

    A solid VR game and enjoyable for just casually being a bird and for completing varied challenges. The variety of the challenges does eventually diminish late in the game and there was more potential with multiplayer. With a lot of VR games being short experiences, this has been the longest I've spent on a VR game to date ~ 15 hours.    … Expand

    It's not just about Eagle Flight , it's more about PSVR at all, so sorry for that. Well, I check Metacritic since years ( along with Gamerankings , IGN & Gamespot ) whenever I doubt about buying or Not buying a game... but this is the first time I write a comment in here. Dear Gamers worldwide : if you think about buying a PSVR game then this one is ABSOLUTELY one of the best out there.It's not just about Eagle Flight , it's more about PSVR at all, so sorry for that. Dear Gamers worldwide : if you think about buying a PSVR game then this one is ABSOLUTELY one of the best out there. Graphic are like a cheap cartoon indeed but the gameplay is really ok. You know, PSVR is now where PC gaming was in the beginning of the 90's... we had id's DOOM thanks to Carmack & Romero and then they gave us QUAKE !
    It's ALL about resolution. In the 90's we came from 320x240 to 640x480 , 800x600 , 1024x768 etc.... now we have 1920x1080 as a standard and 4K is just behind the Doors. What I try to say is : if you don't have enough money to spend just on gaming ,I would wait , PSVR is very ok if you can afford it WITHOUT Great expectations, Oculus Rift & HTC Vive , they both have much much much better resolution but both of them are much much much more expensive than PSVR :-). Besides ,to use them you need a veeery strong PC - i7 , 16 GB mem , GeForce 980 as minimum and still you can stumble upon Some configuration issues... so ,as they all just start with Virtual Reality , PSVR is the cheapjest one & Really Plug & Play. That's all my fellow gamers, I hope I was in state to help somebody with his dillema in this matter knowing that reviews in here Helped me to make my choices since many years.
    P.S. I'm not a PS fanatic :-) I have PS , Xbox & Wii. ( next to PC ofcourse :-) PS Vita & Apple stuff as well, as I've said, I am an OLD gamer...
    One more thing. If you wear glasses like I do , bare in mind that you will have an additional issues with PSVR headset to get a FAIR viewing angle ! I don't know it about Oculus & Vive cause I don't owe them yet.    … Expand

    if you're going to spend more than 25 dollars on a VR game... this is not a bad choice. Ubisoft is a studio we can trust to deliver quality product from a simple concept. Does it feel like a fully fleshed out game? No. But as with so many of these early VR experiences, we're really just getting our feet wet and thats okay with me. Specially when the experience is as charming and fun asif you're going to spend more than 25 dollars on a VR game... this is not a bad choice. Ubisoft is a studio we can trust to deliver quality product from a simple concept. Does it feel like a fully fleshed out game? No. But as with so many of these early VR experiences, we're really just getting our feet wet and thats okay with me. Specially when the experience is as charming and fun as Eagle Flight. The story challenges are fun and the multiplayer is actually extremely competitive. One draw back is the vignetting of the user's vision while turning (which i know is to limit motion sickness). These types of choices should be fully customizable for the user and Ubisoft should know that (but thats nothing a software update cant fix). Do yourself a favour and spend the 80- dollars you were thinking of spending on Robinson The Journey and buy Eagle Flight instead.… Expand

    Really great game. The most fun so far with psvr and the developers have done really well making it comfortable to play. Can easily spend 3 - 4 hours at a time. Get it now you will love it.

    This is the best VR experience I have had so far. The comfort on this game is great, even if flying fast around the city with real speed, the game success at making you feel comfortable all the time. This version of paris is beautiful, I love the colours and the art direction.

They made the open world concept work in VR pretty well and I enjoy it quite a bit. There is a good deal of content compared to other VR games out right now and for 30 bucks its not a bad deal.     Very fun VR game, as others said smooth graphics, good controls, no motion sickness. The tunnel vision I barely noticed while playing and doesn't bother me at all. It's just great flying around freely and there are several challenges to beat. Maybe not worth full price (really not many games are) but for 20 bucks or less I would really recommend this to any VR player.

    Despite the generic design of Eagle Flight’s story missions and the inability to reliably play online, it’s still a thrilling thing to experience in VR. It would be easier to write off were it a tradition, VR-free PlayStation game, but the immersion the headset offers makes it all the more fun and a good way to destress from the day.
