It's good to see a sandbox oriented VR game. It offers some unique sensations although it feels shallow in the graphical and variety departments.

Eagle Flight doesn't bring anything new, but everything it offers has been made to appeal virtual reality player. Paris is always a beautiful city to be seen from up above. The sandbox treatment, with missions make the game last more hours, although it also make it a little bit repetitive and we see a lack of modes for the multiplayer.

Simplistic in scope, but oh so satisfying to play. [Issue#182, p.83]

The concept and delivery deserve praise. [Jan 2016, p.115]

Eagle Flight is not a game for everyone because it will appeal rather to more casual players. Nicely done virtual reality and the bird's flight itself are, unfortunately, spoiled by not very imaginative tasks for which the game gives the impression as if it was pushed too hard to speed up the development.

Its intuitive controls and convincing sense of speed make it a VR title that other developers will surely be borrowing from. While the multiplayer mode’s thrills will provide some longevity, it’s ultimately only a lack of content that keeps Eagle Flight from being essential.

Eagle Flight is certainly not one of the best experiences available for PSVR, but it is one of the most peculiar. The control system, the sense of speed, the exhilaration of the flight and the style of production manages to create an interesting mix.

Eagle Flight is an excellent game when it comes to flying and going on an adventure in VR. The story-line though, is so thin, it is a big disappointment. Thankfully there is a very entertaining multiplayer mode to keep the fun coming.

Flying around Paris is a great experience, but Eagle Flight is more than that, and also offers proper game mechanics. It can get old a little bit too son, but it has a fair amount of content and even a multiplayer mode.

Eagle Flight is a good VR game, but it's one of those games that wouldn't work otherwise. It's dated visuals and graphic style could be a turnoff to some, but it's challenge level and easy controls make the overall package enjoyable. The feeling of flight does excite the senses, and while it may not be the best title in the Playstation VR line, it's also not even close to being the worst. Pick this one up, especially if you like dogfight games and flight simulators.

At launch, Eagle Flight doesn’t offer enough for the near-full price it charges. Single player isn’t enough to justify a purchase and multiplayer isn’t populous enough to get regular matches. Eagle Flight gets the basics right, flight is great and combat can be full of excitement, the game just doesn’t build much on that strong foundation.

Sort of like that dream you had once about being a bird, but with more feather collecting and fish.

Eagle Flight is a nice and original PlayStation VR experience, but it lacks a bit of variety and content, especially in its multiplayer part, that offers only one game mode.

I first had a lot of fun with Eagle Flight at first, but as I spent more time with the game, the repetitive level design and flawed star system made the game grow stale and frustrating.

The dream of flight becomes reality with PlayStation VR. But the fantasy is a shallow and repetitive one, that you wake up from all too quickly.
  17. Like so many other early virtual reality games, Eagle Flight feels less like a game and more like an experiment that was polished up and given a price tag. It’s a fun experiment worth experiencing, but it’s not worth $60.

Just wish you could take the tunnel vision off. They have done this to stop people getting motion sick, however I have no problems this way in VR, so would just like the option there in the options menu for people like me, who can handle it, to get a full screen view (like Windlands and Rigs do). if you're going to spend more than 25 dollars on a VR game... this is not a bad choice. Ubisoft is a studio we can trust to deliver qualityif you're going to spend more than 25 dollars on a VR game... this is not a bad choice. Ubisoft is a studio we can trust to deliver quality product from a simple concept. Does it feel like a fully fleshed out game? No. But as with so many of these early VR experiences, we're really just getting our feet wet and thats okay with me. Specially when the experience is as charming and fun as Eagle Flight. The story challenges are fun and the multiplayer is actually extremely competitive. One draw back is the vignetting of the user's vision while turning (which i know is to limit motion sickness). These types of choices should be fully customizable for the user and Ubisoft should know that (but thats nothing a software update cant fix). Do yourself a favour and spend the 80- dollars you were thinking of spending on Robinson The Journey and buy Eagle Flight instead. Full Review »

Sorry, but content of this game is too poor to consider it a full product. A shame, because I really like the concept and mechanics.

Sorry, but content of this game is too poor to consider it a full product. A shame, because I really like the concept and mechanics.

    Game has 2 game modes:

Campaign is basically a set of minigames and nothing more. You have few of them - flying through circles time trial, flying through tunnels time trials, shooting enemies trials, catching fish trials. Gets boring very fast.

Fun part of the game is multiplayer. The problem with it, is that it has just 1 game mode - capture the flag, and you can't even play that properly. The game doesn't allow you to play with bots, and finding even 1 player to play against is very difficult. So basically, capture the flag is the only fun part if the game and you can't even play it properly. That's a shame. If game would have at least a few more multuplayer modes, bots, and maybe a stage or two more, I'd give it a seven, but at its current state this game is more of a demo than a full product. It is little bit fun, as long as vr is still a new thing and you enjoy it for a very fact of flying.
