Feb 29, 2016A true expansion, The Following provides players with an all new area of Harran to explore, new game features and items, and the ability to drive a vehicle and level your skills as a driver and a runner.
-
Feb 15, 2016Even though the light is dying for the people of Harran, this zombie game's light couldn't be brighter with this new enhanced edition of Dying Light.
-
Feb 15, 2016While it isn’t perfect, The Following openly embraces everything that made Dying Light a standout hit of 2015 and also injects enough fresh content to warrant a return visit from even the most hardcore of Harran’s explorers.
-
Feb 12, 2016It takes all of the best parts of Dying Light and manages to use them as a launchpad into something new and fresh.
-
Mar 11, 2016The Following is an immensely enjoyable and well-crafted survival horror experience that I implore any fan of the genre to at least check out.
-
Feb 24, 2016In the end, if you’re a fan of Dying Light, you’re going to be a fan of The Following. It has everything you already love, gives you more of it and then throws in some vehicles as well to spice things up.
-
Feb 17, 2016A larger playable area, new weapons, abilities, vehicles and a new storyline haven't always proven to be a working formula in the past. Nonetheless did Techland take these elements and combined them to great success.
-
CD-ActionMar 30, 2016The new large area is just a beginning. The car was introduced really well and tweaking it is really rewarding, because all the modifications are meaningful. There are new weapons and enemies (real bosses at last!) and the expansion is well balanced in terms of character development. Lastly there’s a good, skillfully presented story and enough content for 20-25 hours. [03/2016, p.30]
-
Feb 18, 2016The Following keeps the joyous zombie slaughter of Dying Light while refreshing it with a new dynamic. A fine expansion.
-
Feb 17, 2016This is a great way to expand any game. Adding interesting content, doing so with a precise idea in mind, and setting a good price for the package.
-
Feb 26, 2016Overall, this is easily one of the best forms of expanded content for a game in years.
-
Feb 10, 2016Dying Light was probably the best game Techland has done. The Following adds and expands. The buggy is a killing machine, the parkour is balanced, there is a perfect progression and you have a lot of guns. What more could you ask for a decent expansion? Night falls again.
-
Mar 31, 2016Not dead on arrival, The Following is a meaty chunk of gaming fun.
-
Feb 19, 2016The Following expands Dying Light in a meaningful new way, giving fans something fun to salivate over.
-
Feb 18, 2016Ultimately, it's the inclusion of the off-road buggy that turns out to be its smartest addition, which coupled with its challenging new setting more than overcomes any of the all too familiar shortcomings.
-
Feb 16, 2016The engrossing story, the dune buggy, and the well-designed Harran countryside make The Following worth the pricier Dying Light season pass.
-
Feb 16, 2016Techland renews the recipe for Dying Light with The Following. A bit more countryside, a buggy, and a lot more content for this great add-on.
-
Feb 12, 2016The dirt buggies fit right in and provide both rewarding survivor strategy and moment to moment excitement. The amount of content is impressive for an expansion as well, with approximately 10 hours of missions and plenty more for completionists.
-
Power UnlimitedMar 24, 2016Techland really tried to make something new in the existing framework with this DLC and we enjoyed the buggy and the new missions but it’s simply not as good as the main game. [april. 2016 / page 071]
-
Apr 14, 2016As it stands, this is a good example of how to do a DLC package.
-
Feb 22, 2016Driving and customising the buggy is a lot of fun, but not at the expense of tight parkour.
-
Edge MagazineApr 10, 2016If it's judged only on its atmosphere, weapons, and the amount of killing it portrays from behind the wheel, this expansion hits the bullseye. If Techland can fill in all the bits missing in between, its next project could be something special indeed. [April 2016, p.114]
-
Feb 24, 2016Plagued by technical issues and a linear, short story The Following can be recommended only to die-hard fans of the original game.
-
Feb 29, 2016I desperately wanted more Dying Light after choosing it as one of the year's best in 2015, but now that I've gotten it, I'm bitterly disappointed that the new content fails to build on its strengths. By shifting focus away from what it does best, The Following is a mediocre, frustrating, open-world experience that's nowhere as good as what inspired it.
