The not so good stuff DL2 dips into the worst of Ubisoft copy/paste style of gaming. The PC style menu select which is trash on a console. The melee hit boxes are off giving and receiving damage and zeds can glitch out and teleport an attack. Ranged is OP making the slow big boys zed no challenge. The homogenized nature of the people and the look of the local means this sequel has no interesting cultural vibe like Haran. I despise the Tarzen gamerfied last level game design.

Hit and miss is the parkour yeah it is smoother, but I don't get that DL/EE oh crap I am almost going to die when I jump vibe. So DL2 parkour feels all a bit to easy when it shouldn't. That being said some parkour stuff seems broke and if it wasn’t for the glider/grapple saving my characters ass when the game glitched out.

DL2 added block which just extends out the combat. Which is never a good thing when the combat is only ok-ish.

When I got to the second and bigger half of the game I was like oh that is cool looking, but oh gawd more of doing the same. Oh boy this game got super grindy.

I beat Dying Light EE six times. I beat Dead Islands several times. I still got to look at interesting place/culture even if everything went all to crap in Haran or the Island of Banoi. Not sure I will revisit DL2 after one run? If you don't care about depth of story or want likeable characters, but just want a bigger Dying Light play ground to mess around in with new stuff? Then welcome to DL2 oh well.

FC New Dawn.

Polecam :)

Fine game. Great parkour mechanics, the story is ok, and the combat is mid and the parkour music is GREAT. A lot of gliches have been fixed, but even so, the game has few minuses for example:

A lot of promised stuff has been removed and the game has poorer graphics compared to the first part (my brother plays the first dying light on the weakest settings on a potato and the graphics look better than the second part I have on ps4 pro). If techland adds removed stuff or possibly improves the graphics in the upcoming dlc, I will change my opinion for a better one. After all, Dying Light 2 is a fun game and its worth buying. I recommend :)

These range from severe texture pop in, loading issues, crashes and audio blowouts, to activities that won't properly clear and broken trophies/achievements.

Jeśli zaś chodzi o bezpośrednie starcia mamy do czynienia z jeszcze większym absurdem – przykład wychodzimy z siedziby Ocaleńców i postanawiamy spuścić łomot kilku z nim (nikt nam nie zabroni?).

Tutaj dostaniemy kilka solidnych zwrotów fabularnych i ciekawie poprowadzoną kampanię.

Kolejna sprawa to ulepszenie mechaniki dnia i nocy.

Wynika to bezpośrednio z poprzedniej mechaniki misji nocnych. ..

This is an open world first person zombie game that took me about 20 hours to complete, and can be played wit up to 4 players co op… Youre a night runner, youre infected early on in the game which adds a layer of tenseness to the game which I loved, Theres a timer when youre in buildings or running around at night that have hav to keep filled with UV lights or the the sun so you don’t turn into a zombie.. this mechanic was never annoying.. in fact I never ran out of time, but I appreciate the level of immersion there… bevasue sadly this mechanic is where the immersion ends.. Like the original Dying light the world here just doesn’t feel lived in… it’s a mess zombie playground but even more lifeless than last time.. .a generic game world feel rather than again feeling like a world that used ti be brimming with life… I did love exploring the buildings during the main story missions, but nothing ever enticed me to seek things out on my own.. no addictive hook when it came to loot as every weapon breaks, theres nothing cool to find in this world, so why bother? Why not just stick to this super boring story? Which is what I did… One thing Dying Light 2 improved on is the flow of the parquor… It still needs works, its still frustrating at times, but it miles better than the original… and the combat is great too.. I loved getting into fights with my modded weapons, however the enemies this time around feel kind of brainless and just in the way rather than a threat like the past game.. and my biggest complaing.. I absolutely hated the second half of the game… running around in Dying Light 2 just isn’t fun… its not.. I feel like Im the only person who feels this way and I have no idea how.. I died more trying to get from point a to b, than I did the enemies once I finally got to the mission…
I would love a more mirrors edge / modern assins creed style system in the future because I dreaded having to run through this city in the second half.. I didn’t mind the first half of the game where building were low and close like an old school assassins creed game, but the larger city.. awful…
Overall Dying Light 2 is a fine game, its good, the combat is great, but the loot system is a disappointment and the story is just bad, it is.. I was non invested in the world at all…
Youll have fun going through the campaign, its just a shame nothing in the world entices you to explore or to care…
I give Dying Light 2: Stay Human
    a 7/10

There are no metro stations unlocked on my map for Old Viledor, so I cannot get back. "How do I go back?" is just one of the questions the game never answers, in addition to, How do I get to the military drops? Ive seen at least 2 where there is no way to get to the top of the building for the drop. I assume it is locked into a story quest, but no where does it say anything about that. You just waste your time running around a building looking for a way up, and there is none. There are a LOT of buildings like that. What is the use of an open world that I can't get to, and the game does not tell you it's locked?

I keep getting the message inventory full, but under my inventory it does not display what I have too many items of, if there is a limit for each type of item, or if it's a global limit, what IS that limit? The settlement/facility/windmill thing is a complete mystery. WTF? How are they different, and why are they different? it seems windmills unlock items on the map, but maybe facilities do, too. It's just a jumbled mess. A lot of the time I feel overpowered compared to enemies, yet I am lacking most of the items needed to do the side quests. Im probably going to finish this stupid story mode I can't get into because im fruitlessly chasing upgrades that cannot be accomplished, with tons of content that I havent even touched. I've played 20 hours or so and feel like I wasted at least half of it trying to do things i am apparently forbidden to do in an "open world" game. The list of things to track in this game is endless, and the crafting is stupid. I need UV flashlights. Do I have what I need? Who the F knows?. infected parts (common, uncommon, rare, military tech, nightrunner hideouts , regular hideouts, facilities, checkpoints, windmills, metro stations, and many, MANY more. Make TWO different types at most, then let us fast travel to half of them. It is just a confused and jumbled mess.

Night runner trials and having to slog through 60 hours of suck until your character is actually upgraded enough to enjoy the game is absolutely ridiculous

Why is it the norm now for all video game companies to sell you a broken game now, and maybe they'll fix it later. This game is so buggy. Voices disappear along with subtitles. I've watched enemies teleport around the map, some running through the air, humans getting hit in the head and their head will turn completely around or hang while they still have health and continue to fight. Why is it the norm now for all video game companies to sell you a broken game now, and maybe they'll fix it later. Falling through objects, compass disappearing while heading to objectives, roaming people of the faction you are allied with suddenly turning around and attacking you, and on and on.

And why are they using the exact same main character voice actor from Dying Light 1 to voice a completely different main character?

Okay game worthy of a 6, The gameplay really carries the game, Combat and Parkour is fun but the story lacks a little.

Dying Light 2 is a delightfully fast paced game, which has a few persistent issues bogging it down. Most issues have already started getting fixed, such as the audio bugs and auto save issues, but enemies being frozen in place and some quests having NPCs make odd choices still drags it down a bit. Still, even on the older console the game runs pretty great and load times are surprisingly not noticeable. The main story ramps up well with characters that matter and moments that vary from harrowing escapes to fun fights. Every moment of parkour is a treat, and combat does just well enough to stay out of the way, with a day/night cycle that varies, meaning there’s always something new to do. Here’s hoping those issues continue to get ironed out and leave the game to be what it’s best at, a harrowing fast-paced survival RPG with plenty to explore and loot.

Developer Techland accumulates all they’ve learned from their action-horror catalog, delivering solidly fun zombie-slaying in this sequel. Its long-winded story may miss the mark in keeping you captivated, but the fun to be had more than makes up for that. And the PS4 version is a great option to play, running at very stable performances and maintaining very acceptable visual fidelity.
