Game is a ton of fun, but Holy crap the bugs are game breaking. I have no idea what most of the story was about because I couldn't hear the people talking, the dialogue glitch ruined it for me.

The game is really fun but the audio glitches completely ruin the game especially during missions. Half of it will just bug out and you have no idea what was said cause even the subtitles dissappear.

In the dark with the flashlight on, there are no shadows cast at all, even the first game had flashlight shadows! It really decreases the immersion of the game & seems very lazy to not have included this. Hopefully this will be remedied with an update. On the other hand, at least there is a shadow cast from your character now which was not in the first game. I am also finding it very strange that it is L1+R2 to kick now, it was only L1 before which made much more sense, this seems like a silly decision to not have left that the same. 3 things i already miss are: Guns!, no drop attack in the skill tree (that was awesome!), & the ability to swipe the pad to bring up the map or skill tree! I like that clicking L3 to sprint was removed, sprinting is automatic now which is much better! I will continue to give the game a chance as I loved the first Dying Light & know that Techland will continue to improve the game with patches & updates Expand

Audio bugs, character models freezing up and glitching around, and navigating through the menu/tabs is a bit unresponsive and slow. Expand

These range from severe texture pop in, loading issues, crashes and audio blowouts, to activities that won't properly clear and broken trophies/achievements. There are also some problems I have with latency in player movement, and that can occasionally screw up the flow of its parkour mechanics. I still enjoy it more than the Dead Island. I just wish it could be a much more polished experience even 5 months after release. Expand

This is an open world first person zombie game that took me about 20 hours to complete, and can be played wit up to 4 players co op… Youre a night runner, youre infected early on in the game which adds a layer of tenseness to the game which I loved, Theres a timer when youre in buildings or running around at night that have hav to keep filled with UV lights or the the sun so you don’t turn into a zombie.. this mechanic was never annoying.. in fact I never ran out of time, but I appreciate the level of immersion there… bevasue sadly this mechanic is where the immersion ends.. Like the original Dying light the world here just doesn’t feel lived in… it’s a mess zombie playground but even more lifeless than last time.. .a generic game world feel rather than again feeling like a world that used ti be brimming with life… I did love exploring the buildings during the main story missions, but nothing ever enticed me to seek things out on my own.. no addictive hook when it came to loot as every weapon breaks, theres nothing cool to find in this world, so why bother? Why not just stick to this super boring story? Which is what I did… One thing Dying Light 2 improved on is the flow of the parquor… It still needs works, its still frustrating at times, but it miles better than the original… and the combat is great too.. I loved getting into fights with my modded weapons, however the enemies this time around feel kind of brainless and just in the way rather than a threat like the past game.. and my biggest complaing.. I absolutely hated the second half of the game… running around in Dying Light 2 just isn’t fun… its not.. I feel like Im the only person who feels this way and I have no idea how.. I died more trying to get from point a to b, than I did the enemies once I finally got to the mission…
I would love a more mirrors edge / modern assins creed style system in the future because I dreaded having to run through this city in the second half.. I didn’t mind the first half of the game where building were low and close like an old school assassins creed game, but the larger city.. awful…
Overall Dying Light 2 is a fine game, its good, the combat is great, but the loot system is a disappointment and the story is just bad, it is.. I was non invested in the world at all…
Youll have fun going through the campaign, its just a shame nothing in the world entices you to explore or to care…
I give Dying Light 2: Stay Human
    a 7/10

Dying Light 2 is best described as a 2022 game stuck in 2015. What do I mean by that? Well allow me to explain.

First let's start with what I like about the game, which is mainly the parkour aspect of the gameplay. For the most part it feels GOOD to run across rooftops paragliding, wall running, and grappling across these open areas. It makes you really feel like you are seeing through the eyes of an expert parkour runner.

Sadly that is really the ONLY positive I have. The rest of the game is either boring or buggy.

Combat in this game feels too simplistic and most of my fights are either me swinging wildly at a group of zombies or dodging/blocking some bandit groups and then chaining vault kicks until everyone is dead. The game mostly seems to want you to use stealth, which I am not a fan of. The GRE facilities where you can get 4 of those inhibitors to upgrade your health or stamina tells you to sneak around but it is better and faster to just go in at night completely armed to the teeth, kill everything inside, and loot afterwards.

Character models take a few seconds to load their skins to the point it looks like I walked into a room full of greyscaled people

I would tell you about the voice acting and story but the audio keeps bugging out to the point it just skips it entirely so I am missing chunks of the story. But from what I hear the story is rather meh, which is what the first game also suffered from, but I would still like to HEAR IT.

Also there aspects missing from the first game like enemies not dropping their weapons. Well they drop but they somehow either disappear or fall through the map because I will kill a group of bandits and I can'r take their weapons for myself, which was a rewarding aspect of Dying Light 1.

Speaking of weapons, I wish we could craft our own but I think thay can't be done til later in the game or techland adds it via updates and DLC.

Also NO MANUAL SAVES for a game where you make decisions and you can't go back if you accidentally make the wrong decision. This isn't 2015, Techland. Allow us to manually save. The first game got a pass because there were no decisions, it was pretty straight forward.

In all honesty this game feels like it maybe needed another month or 2 before it released and I should have listened to the voice in my head saying "wait for a sale"

This game runs well enough frame rate wise for on the legacy PS4. I got a lot bsod on fast travel. That being said this game has been updated. So who knows if they have fixed that.

The not so good stuff DL2 dips into the worst of Ubisoft copy/paste style of gaming. The PC style menu select which is trash on a console. The melee hit boxes are off giving and receiving damage and zeds can glitch out and teleport an attack. Ranged is OP making the slow big boys zed no challenge. The homogenized nature of the people and the look of the local means this sequel has no interesting cultural vibe like Haran. I despise the Tarzen gamerfied last level game design.

Hit and miss is the parkour yeah it is smoother, but I don't get that DL/EE oh crap I am almost going to die when I jump vibe. So DL2 parkour feels all a bit to easy when it shouldn't. That being said some parkour stuff seems broke and if it wasn’t for the glider/grapple saving my characters ass when the game glitched out.

DL2 added block which just extends out the combat. Which is never a good thing when the combat is only ok-ish.

When I got to the second and bigger half of the game I was like oh that is cool looking, but oh gawd more of doing the same. Oh boy this game got super grindy.

I beat Dying Light EE six times. I beat Dead Islands several times. I still got to look at interesting place/culture even if everything went all to crap in Haran or the Island of Banoi. Not sure I will revisit DL2 after one run? If you don't care about depth of story or want likeable characters, but just want a bigger Dying Light play ground to mess around in with new stuff? Then welcome to DL2 oh well.

Jeśli zaś chodzi o bezpośrednie starcia mamy do czynienia z jeszcze większym absurdem – przykład wychodzimy z siedziby Ocaleńców i postanawiamy spuścić łomot kilku z nim (nikt nam nie zabroni?).

Tutaj dostaniemy kilka solidnych zwrotów fabularnych i ciekawie poprowadzoną kampanię.

Kolejna sprawa to ulepszenie mechaniki dnia i nocy.

Wynika to bezpośrednio z poprzedniej mechaniki misji nocnych. ..

Dying Light 2 is a delightfully fast paced game, which has a few persistent issues bogging it down. Most issues have already started getting fixed, such as the audio bugs and auto save issues, but enemies being frozen in place and some quests having NPCs make odd choices still drags it down a bit. Still, even on the older console the game runs pretty great and load times are surprisingly not noticeable. The main story ramps up well with characters that matter and moments that vary from harrowing escapes to fun fights. Every moment of parkour is a treat, and combat does just well enough to stay out of the way, with a day/night cycle that varies, meaning there’s always something new to do. Here’s hoping those issues continue to get ironed out and leave the game to be what it’s best at, a harrowing fast-paced survival RPG with plenty to explore and loot.

Developer Techland accumulates all they’ve learned from their action-horror catalog, delivering solidly fun zombie-slaying in this sequel. Its long-winded story may miss the mark in keeping you captivated, but the fun to be had more than makes up for that. And the PS4 version is a great option to play, running at very stable performances and maintaining very acceptable visual fidelity.
