    Game runs like trash on PS4 pro. Characters glitching out enemies phasing through walls at u and game breaking bugs all around that will make u have to start a completely new save. I could care less about them including or not including an Italian translation as I'm in the united states and speak English. This is just a bad review for a game that was released badly broken. A lot of the parkour stuff doesn't register when u grab on to ledges and u just fall to ur death. The crafting sucks and the immunity meter or whatever u call it was such a lame thing to add on to the game. Really breaks ur immersion when ur looting a place and u have to run for ur life to some uv light. What a waste of 60 bucks. Almost as bad as cyberpunk 2077. I've already had to completely restart my game 2 times and I haven't even made it past the first mission at the Bazar because it won't let me talk to certain characters to progress the quest any further. Uninstalling and reinstalling it did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. As it stands now the game is completely broken and unplayable. I want my 60 bucks back u lying sneak thieves of a gaming company. Promised the world and then delivered dog crap.… Expand

    This game could be good if it was organized better. Leaving the bugs aside for a moment, I am a completionist. I try to get most of the abilities and items as I get into the game, but I feel like the story is forcing me to leave huge amounts of content behind. I had barely scratched the surface of the facilities, windmills, and side quests and nighttime activities in Old Villedor,This game could be good if it was organized better. I had barely scratched the surface of the facilities, windmills, and side quests and nighttime activities in Old Villedor, before I started a story quest and was forced into the Central Loop. There are no metro stations unlocked on my map for Old Viledor, so I cannot get back. "How do I go back?" is just one of the questions the game never answers, in addition to, How do I get to the military drops? Ive seen at least 2 where there is no way to get to the top of the building for the drop. I assume it is locked into a story quest, but no where does it say anything about that. You just waste your time running around a building looking for a way up, and there is none. There are a LOT of buildings like that. What is the use of an open world that I can't get to, and the game does not tell you it's locked?

    I keep getting the message inventory full, but under my inventory it does not display what I have too many items of, if there is a limit for each type of item, or if it's a global limit, what IS that limit? The settlement/facility/windmill thing is a complete mystery. WTF? How are they different, and why are they different? it seems windmills unlock items on the map, but maybe facilities do, too. It's just a jumbled mess. A lot of the time I feel overpowered compared to enemies, yet I am lacking most of the items needed to do the side quests. Im probably going to finish this stupid story mode I can't get into because im fruitlessly chasing upgrades that cannot be accomplished, with tons of content that I havent even touched. I've played 20 hours or so and feel like I wasted at least half of it trying to do things i am apparently forbidden to do in an "open world" game. The list of things to track in this game is endless, and the crafting is stupid. I need UV flashlights. Do I have what I need? Who the F knows?. infected parts (common, uncommon, rare, military tech, nightrunner hideouts , regular hideouts, facilities, checkpoints, windmills, metro stations, and many, MANY more. Make TWO different types at most, then let us fast travel to half of them. It is just a confused and jumbled mess.    … Expand

    bad game, can't be compared to masterpieces we have on ps4 such as Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Death Stranding...but neither with other zombie games such as Days Gone or Resident Evil series. This game just sucks, it has nothing new to offer, it's repetitive and bugged. Wouldn't even accept it as a gift and have refunded it immediately

    I don't usually write reviews, but it's so bad I felt the need to. They recently patched 1.05 for PS4 and the audio and dialogue skipping is worse than it was at launch. For a story driven game, this is game breaking and unplayable. This is Cyberpunk levels of clownery and should be absolutely avoided at all costs.

    I so wanted to like this game. And I should have loved it. When it works it is a really fun game, with some good mechanics, interesting day/night cycle of activities, some genuine "oh cr*p" moments.

    But ultimately I can't even give it a score above zero because it is broken. The number of times during combat the enemies all freeze, only for them to unfreeze a few seconds later and somehow    I so wanted to like this game. And I should have loved it. When it works it is a really fun game, with some good mechanics, interesting day/night cycle of activities, some genuine "oh cr*p" moments.

    But ultimately I can't even give it a score above zero because it is broken. The number of times during combat the enemies all freeze, only for them to unfreeze a few seconds later and somehow I've died. And the further into the game I got, the more often this happened, until now at level 4 it happens almost every single combat. It means effectively I can't play at all, and I've wasted £50. Throw in a stupid bug where it auto-fast forwards through cut scenes - so you have no idea what's going on - and you have a total and utter waste of time.     This game is completely overridden with game breaking and loss of immersion bugs. 30 hours into the game, my friend and I received a glitch where we received Developer Quests and high level gear but it ruined the progression and maxed out certain things about the story... wtf!!! DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME UNTIL THEY FIX THIs

    Is the game fun? Kind of? As long as you can make fun of it and just follow quests WITH A FRIEND. By yourself? Go play Days Gone or almost any other BETTER open world and/or zombie game.

    The game was ok in patch 1.04. Some problems like npc’s not moving if you hit them or sound’s dialogue not playing at the start of a scene. This is ok but it quits the immersion of the game.
    Worst than this? Yes, the 1.05 patch. Plus, all the last bugs and errors explained before, the new    I’m sorry doing this critic about the game but in PS4 is a complete disaster. Let me explain:

    Plus, all the last bugs and errors explained before, the new patch put new issues:
    -When doing parkour sometimes it freezes.
    -At any moment the npc’s and textures can turn gray.
    -The sound can disappear.
    -When the night arrives the color of the sky continue being day time.
    -You hit an npc, it freezes and then, without knowing, the zombie or renegade hit you.

    This plus all the errors and bugs presented in the past patches makes this game not enjoyable. I paid 60€ for this but I had to quit waiting to some dev fix this game.    … Expand

    This site is extremely unfair and hypocritical, people who pointed out that Denuvo is a problem, got all their reviews removed, yes you read that right, all their reviews for other games as well, no matter if they were well written positive reviews or not. At the same time there are 100s of games that have thousands of bot reviews, like Cyberpunk 2077, but do they remove these?     The game runs like absolute garbage on the PS4:

    1- There is a desync of the gameplay audio and the SFX are all gone. 2- No dialogue audio and no dialogue subtitles. 3- Aiden runs in fear with 2 voice acting even when a chase is over.     The graphics are from the day before yesterday (look at comparisons to the first part, just the water).

    Here a company has not thought at all.

    The bugs are absolutely unbearable. I literally can’t go 30 seconds without missing audio, frame drops, the game crashing or me seeing npc’s frozen in time. Without the bugs, the game is awesome, but the amount of bugs here is absolutely unacceptable. I spent 60 bucks on this game and at least 3 hours waiting for the game to load back up after closing because of some stupid glitch, and inThe bugs are absolutely unbearable.     Such a shame, I was really hyped with the whole "narrative focus" and "decisions with consequences" thing... It could have turned out so differently if Avellone had been at the helm... Next time you try to turn a sandbox game into a    Abysmal writing, cardboard NPCs with 0 charisma, awful narrative, boring main storyline and repetitive Ubisoft-esque sidequests. Instant refund.

    One the worst gaming experiences I've ever had.
    1. Co-op is completely broken (literally can't even click the button)
    2. Controller buttons/actions just stop working randomly
    3. Practically every mission has game breaking bugs forcing you to start a new save
    4. The amount of motion blur is ridiculous. Horrible graphical glitches. Horrible performance.
    5. Entire game is a downgrade from DL1

If I want a killer story, I'll go replay Bioshock Infinite. That's not why I loved the first game. I LOVE the mix of parkour and zombie survival. This game botched it. Big time. The zombies don't feel like a threat at all. They feebly claw at you and you take damage every time their cartoony fingertips touch you. That's it. No biting. No grabbing. Except when one falls to the ground and just decides to stay there, grabbing at your toes. And the human combat? Absolute garbage. I'm on the hardest difficulty and only die when one of the human enemies glitches and freezes but still magically hits me somehow. This game is laughably easy on hard. The enemies each wait their turn to attack you, allowing you to effortlessly block and attack over and over and over. No adaptation. No decent AI. Trash. The only thing that made nighttime scary in the first game is largely absent, volatiles. Prepare to have nighttime feel EXACTLY like daytime (except for an annoying ass immunity timer) and get ready to be constantly spamming your survivor sense so you can differentiate which of the items are grabbable. The outline of the enemies through walls makes them look like a child's drawing. I could go on and on.… Expand

    I own a ps5, but I'm forced to play the ps4 version of the game if I want to play with friends that's still stuck on last gen. If at any point I want to switch back to the ps5 version, my save data DOES NOT carry over between the 2 versions.

Why would they do this? Well the same reason every other modern studio make woman unattractive!. Its done the ridiculas effort to "avert the male gaze", like their priestess and savior (Sarkesian Anita) demanded.
    We have seen it before and if there is a pinch of progressive Sjw activism on the surface, then there is a pound lurking below..And that's all well and good,  but what I can't get over or suport is who these developers are..They are people that hate us!, hate us for our sex, skin colour  and consumer practices..They hate us on Twitter, in the forums and in their progressive journalist interviews. They hate us and I will never pay people that hate us ever again. So I'm gonna throw the " Ultimate Spiderman "disk in my OG Xbox an play that instead, a game that was made  by people that didn't hate us and had only one goal, to make a game we would enjoy.    … Expand

This will be the last game ever I preorder completely unfinished pile of crap which shouldWorst buggy mess ever.     •Some abilities should have been there from the start and not included in the leveling table

    No audio on 70% of interactions aswell as subtitles not showing. Couldn't continue even after reinstalling, traded in at the first opportunity.

    WARNING !!!! DO NOT BUY THIS GAME ON PS4 PRO, IT'S FULL BROKEN

    i don't count the crash / freeze occured during my run... it"s a shame... Even cleaning the cache of the console doesn't work... i hate Technland, they're a bunch of thieves.

I play with friends that are on PS5 for this game, but I'm the only one that is kicked offline during gaming. Loading up takes about 3-5 minutes, so the crashing can ruin the gaming experience real quick. Not to mention that you have to sitThis game runs like poop soup.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. i'll get right to the point. The storyline is good and the sandbox gameplay is fun WHEN WORKING. that being said this game BARELY runs good at all. When I play with friends, gameplay audio is never synced up between all of us, someone is always getting caught in the death loop, and there is no cross-gen gameplay as of writing this review. Single player bugs are constant ranging from rendering issues to where i'm always falling through the map, audio and sub-titles issues that break the game and make you miss entire storyline segments, and of course the constant death loop. I'll fall through the map because of rendering, reload into the game and fall and die. repeat. This is unacceptable to gamers who purchase your game at full price and saying that we should be patient because a patch is on the way is a crock too. How about you delay the game so it can be polished of these game breaking bugs. oh wait, money comes first. Did no one play this game before it was released?? i would love to rate this game higher but i cannot accept the growing trend of releasing games first and fixing them later, for that it gets a 3. Somehow Techland managed to downgrade the game, by releasing a product thats obviously unfinished, with bugs and glitches making the game unplayable, either its all characters and textures becoming grey, the infamous audio bug,Dying Light 2 brings shame to the good name of Dying Light, as Dying Light 1 was one of my personal favorite games with some of the best gameplay and weapons. Somehow Techland managed to downgrade the game, by releasing a product thats obviously unfinished, with bugs and glitches making the game unplayable, either its all characters and textures becoming grey, the infamous audio bug, dialogue skipping itself, I literally didn't experience one normal cutscene in the game, Let alone the game breaking bugs that eould literally have you restart the game. The story is so weak, badly written and the whole post apocalyptic setting feels extremely boring and unneeded, just because the last of us did it dont mean you have to as well. I replayed DL1 over 4 times over how much i loved it. But this here feels like a chore to finish only once. I honestly hope they fix it but i don't think its fixable and i sure hope DL2 doesn't kill the Dying Light IP because i wanna see Techland do better… Expand

While fighting enemies the game randomly lags while doing parkour attacks. Enemies are sometimes grey skinned mannequin looking things. Enemies will freeze in place for several seconds after you hit them then re appear andIt's better and worse than the 1st game. Then roughly 20 seconds later I'll hear all the sounds that were supposed to play earlier while my character is just standing there. I'm currently on the final story mission and its skipping entire cutscenes.. Techland should be embarrassed… Expand

This is everything wrong with copy and paste, pad the fun with unlockable skill-tree nonsense, Ubisoft-energy game design in 2022. Outside of technical issues the game is very copy paste, climb 1 building and you’ve climbed them all, they basically all have the same routine and same assets, just overall wish I could refund the game.… Expand

Constant bugs, brain dead AI, meaningless choices, worse combat mechanics, glitchy teleporting enemies, lazy fetch quests etc.. but the biggest sin is that it's not scary.. at all.. the 1st one was very scary especially at night.     I've never reviewed a game before but I was compelled to sign up and help to make sure nobody else wastes £50 on a broken game. Constant missing dialogue, glitches and crashing are what you have to look forward to here. AVOID!!!

    the problems I have are that every cutscene has a audio glitch where I can't hear them at all, the subtitles flash for a half of a second, this is very hard to manage with since this game is a "every choice matters" game.     Why is it the norm now for all video game companies to sell you a broken game now, and maybe they'll fix it later. This game is so buggy. Voices disappear along with subtitles. Falling through objects, compass disappearing while heading to objectives, roaming people of the faction you are allied with suddenly turning around and attacking you, and on and on.

    Absolutely impossible to play this crap on playstation 4. Terrible graphics, sound, animation, a lot of problems, there is no fun playing this game and it's impossible! The plot is complete nonsense! It's better to go through the first part again with all the DLC and have fun again!

    Dying Light 2 is a delightfully fast paced game, which has a few persistent issues bogging it down. Most issues have already started getting fixed, such as the audio bugs and auto save issues, but enemies being frozen in place and some quests having NPCs make odd choices still drags it down a bit. Still, even on the older console the game runs pretty great and load times are surprisingly not noticeable. The main story ramps up well with characters that matter and moments that vary from harrowing escapes to fun fights. Every moment of parkour is a treat, and combat does just well enough to stay out of the way, with a day/night cycle that varies, meaning there’s always something new to do. Here’s hoping those issues continue to get ironed out and leave the game to be what it’s best at, a harrowing fast-paced survival RPG with plenty to explore and loot.

    Developer Techland accumulates all they’ve learned from their action-horror catalog, delivering solidly fun zombie-slaying in this sequel. Its long-winded story may miss the mark in keeping you captivated, but the fun to be had more than makes up for that. And the PS4 version is a great option to play, running at very stable performances and maintaining very acceptable visual fidelity.
