    This game is way overhyped. They overcomplicated the weapons mechanics. Constant resource farming is annoying. Demons are bullet sponges unless you aim for weakspots. The platforming is ridiculous, frustrating, and overused. They should've eliminated at least 50% of it before release. It's repetitive and boring after the first hour and the novelty wears off.     Soy muy fanático de Doom desde la Pc, me encanto el remake del 2016 fue genial, pero este Doom es muy inferior al ultimo, realmente una decepción en todo momento. Poca munición y enemigos con una IA horrenda, poca creatividad en los escenarios y acción que se ve interrumpida constantemente por la munición escasa y enemigos que solo te brinda salud a medias, plataformas al estilo TombSoy muy fanático de Doom desde la Pc, me encanto el remake del 2016 fue genial, pero este Doom es muy inferior al ultimo, realmente una decepción en todo momento. Poca munición y enemigos con una IA horrenda, poca creatividad en los escenarios y acción que se ve interrumpida constantemente por la munición escasa y enemigos que solo te brinda salud a medias, plataformas al estilo Tomb Raider que se sienten innecesarias y ridículas en este juego.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Terrible game complicated air maneuvers render the should be fun game irritating and rage inducing 0/10 because of this alone. I would get stuck for 10-30 minutes on jumping maneuvers and have to rely on YouTube to help me. I’m not a “Doom franchise” player but I have over a 4.0 kill death ratio in black ops 4 and am ranked top 3 percent on modern warfare for kills and score per minute. So I’m not an amateur gamer by any means, but this game is too hard for me on the eaziest mode. Ended up smashing my controller to pieces and deleted the game. NOT WORTH 60 DOLLARS!!!!!!!… Expand

    What an absolute joke. This is 20 seconds of doom following by a game chase the imp so you have something to shoot. Terrible. 0/10

    God. I hate this game so much. A game is supposed to be fun, not filling you up with rage and frustration, wanting to break the entire f**ing house.

    Worst enemy and idea in the game: MARAUDER. Seriously just fire whoever came out with this guy.

    A complete bastardization of everything that made Doom good. Cramped level design that impedes movement, ridiculously low ammo cap (less than 1/2 the ammo of 2016's Doom), teeeeeerrrrrible platforming, cutscenes (yes, really), melee that's worse than useless and the worst UI I've seen this year.

    Stay away from this game. This is not Doom. I had to check the box a couple of times when i started playing and the menu to confirm that i was indeed playing Doom Eternal and that it's a single player campaign. Play any previous incarnation instead. I have no idea who is writing positive reviews. It's basically Doom 3 arena in single player just with no ammo and platforming. Blows my mind.

    you need to change the language of your console or the game does not start but worse you have to create an bethesda acoount or you can only play this game offline which means your console i not connected to the internet and you cant play multiplayer - and no one tells you that before you buy

    it feels like they handed off this sequel to some horrible, 3rd rate game studio deep in the forests of Russia or something. Everything that is fun in the Doom 2016 has been removed and replaced with confusing UI, repetitive game play, very linear level design. Most of the time i had no idea what i was doing. There was never enough ammo and even on the easiest level setting i kept dyingit feels like they handed off this sequel to some horrible, 3rd rate game studio deep in the forests of Russia or something. Everything that is fun in the Doom 2016 has been removed and replaced with confusing UI, repetitive game play, very linear level design. Most of the time i had no idea what i was doing. There was never enough ammo and even on the easiest level setting i kept dying from lack of ammo or falling off cliffs due to the horrendous jumping mechanism.

    FYI i played Doom 2016 three times and finished it 3 times due to awesome level and game design. Doom Eternal feels like a sequel with a new cast and new director and 1/3 of the budgeta    … Expand

    I really wanted to like this game, but reality just kicked in and revealed forced gameplay style that's annoying as hell... always low on ammo if you don't get into chainsaw -style gameplay. And that kills freedom and i got better games waiting on backlog.

    The game is a downgrade from Doom 1 in so many regards. Most egregious? When the game crashes (and it crashes a lot) it starts you back at the START OF THE LEVEL. Because nothing says "fun" like fighting all the way through a level TWICE. You know whats better? When it crashes again and you have to replay it a third time. **** that. Uninstalled immediately. Garbage. "Bethesda: it just works"

I was prayed to god for this game is over after the mission with 3 portals, but it did not so i just uninstalled this **** at the very end.

Let's just say that the pacing is ruined by the fact that the combat is really restrictive, Grenade for Cacodemon, shoot the arachnotron turret, destroy the mancubus guns.oh and the AMMO PROBLEM, seriously why is their no way to get unlimited ammo?, I would like to slaughter demons, not run around while waiting for more chainsaw fuel just so I can kill an imp for a tiny amount of ammo just to find out that that's not enough ammo… Expand

    Doom Eternal gets a 0 from me for SEVERAL reasons.
    The first one being The marauder. now to preference. i'm good at the game. I can kill the marauder and not have an issue doing so. the issue for me personally is that i don't like being TOLD when to pull the trigger. he is, quite literally, a massive game of Red-Light (Shield) Green-Light (eye glow).
    The other problem i have is them    Doom Eternal gets a 0 from me for SEVERAL reasons.

I can kill the marauder and not have an issue doing so. the issue for me personally is that i don't like being TOLD when to pull the trigger. he is, quite literally, a massive game of Red-Light (Shield) Green-Light (eye glow).

    The other problem i have is them sponging up the enemy to have WAAAYYYY Too much health. while all the while choking you for ammo. Yeah, i know that the chainsaw now exists. but now instead of jumping into the fray with my chainsaw ready to tear a demon a new **** with my chainsaw, i'm running AWAY from the fight to find a conveniently placed imp or zombie to get my ammo back. and i'm doing this EVERY OTHER MINUTE. which, suffice to say, breaks the loops of combat and puts you in positions that you'd really rather not be in. often ending with you getting raped in a corner by 15+ demons at once.

    Oh and did i mention there's also an INCREDIBLE amount of enemies per level and you'll often have waves spawning overtop one another which only adds to the problem. oh what's that? use the BFG and Unmayker? Yeah, i would. IF I HAD AMMO FOR IT, AND IF IT DID ANYTHING. The BFG no longer kills everything it passes through anymore. which is QUITE annoying and underwhelming.

    all of this is compounded as well by movement canceling and knockback combined with screenshake so that way your feet are effectively planted to the floor.

    I don't like being told when to shoot, and i don't like having control over my character taken away.

    Oh yeah, and the BFG is on the scroll wheel now and not on it's own dedicated button.

    so yes. you will accidentally switch to it and panic fire it on an imp or zobie when you really just wanted your shotgun. it will happen, several times.

    AND I HATE BEING PULLED OUT OF COMBAT EVERY SINGLE TIME TO BE GIVING A 1 ON 1 TUTORIAL DEAR HOLY **** DO THESE TUTORIALS BREAK THE ****ING FLOW. WREEEE And yes i turned them off and you wanna know what happened? when the witches that possess demons showed up I had no idea how to deal with them with the ghostbuster style microwave beam that was useless in the main campaign. so when the final boss came round, i spent literally 30 minutes just fighting before pausing and googling. so yeah THE TUTORIALS ARE QUITE NESSACARY. they stayed off though and i thankfully didn't have anything like that occur again.

    But it would have been so much better if they put us in scenarios where, maybe you see someone do something similar with them. there is a thing called Show don't Tell. and this game needs to learn to shut the everloving **** up.

    I like the fact that you have a nice base of operations, i like the collectibles and secrets, I like the fact that you can break away your enemies' armor. and i LOVE the fact that you can target weakpoints to shoot off to make them less of a threat! However, everything else that i listed is SO profound that all these few good things i mentioned are null and void.

    AND THE FINAL BOSS OF THE ANCHIENT GODS WAS SO BAD! HE WAS SO SO BAD! he was just a glorified Marauder who regains health when he hits you HE'S THE MOST STALE FIGHT I'VE EVER SEEN EVER. AND I'M PLAYING DOOOOM AGHGHHHHHHH HHAA

    I want to love this game i genuinely do but this game does everything so backward. making itself harder for the sake of making it harder. unessacrly spongey enemies. Choking you for ammo and changing the entire gameplay loop simply by changing how the chainsaw and ammo is dolled out made me so bored and annoyed that i've played the game once out of respect and now i will put the game down and never touch it again.    … Expand

    Have played Doom games since the 90's. Loved all of them, excepting Doom 3 - what were they thinking! Then came this. I am a casual gamer I admit but have, over the years, put in many hours with previous Doom FPS. Found this one too difficult even on the easiest setting. Not enough ammo or health to survive for more than a couple of minutes.

    A crappy 90s first person shooter with horribly outdated controls thought it could pass as a AAA title if they slapped some 2017 graphics on it. Wouldn’t even have been satisfied if I were paid to play this garbage. You basically have two controls and every encounter is the same, so if you have no respect for your time or money then definitely buy this game!

    The game won't let you go without an account. The letter to restore it simply does not come to the mail. Explain, why the **** do I have an account if I just want to go through the storyline of the game
