The storyline is redundant, same enemies just a bit different looking skins. Most of the new items are either re-skinned re-named or hidden behind boring and uninspired grind.

The mechanics implemented emphasize on massive monetization, meaning it is all about squeezing out even more money from the players. Bungie delivered a half baked story, poorly implemented just to get you items that are hidden behind a paywall of so called Eververse.

Aside from absolutely disgusting hidden XP Throttling that keeps you from earning level progression engrams and pushing you indirectly towards the real money loot box shop , or implementing not working game mechanics like three of coins that extract in game currency so called "shards" and resulting in a contrary negative effect to the random drop rate of exotic engrams it supposedly should "enhance". That extension is just a big blunder and scam.

As a person that played through Destiny 1 with all the extensions and saw how bad that company treats their loyal fan base. Dumping load after load of manure in their face, Destiny 2 and that expansion are a good example of how that cancer of greed, deceit and marketing new speak dumps an ever bigger and constantly growing load of crap on gamers. Forcing them to buy an extension because initially, they took away vanilla content players already bought with the main game and hiding it behind a paywall. Introducing items that are one time use (shaders) in the base game and dumping new versions of that shaders and still giving players super limited vault space that works against the main motivation of the game which is collecting items and sets of gear; or how about repeating errors and interface clutter that was already resolved in Destiny 1,or manipulating game play to the players disadvantage and deceiving them on screen just to hide the fraud underneath, and the list goes on and on and on. The multiplayer environment is sooooo bad and limited. bugged overpowered weapons, lagging and mismatching in crucible matches because Bungie now does not even show a players connection quality because of a peer to peer approach, and it goes on and on and on. You do yourself a great favor to just stay away from the base game and that hideous extension, because it seems there is no sign that Bungie will let that cash cow Eververse go. Just look into the forums and you tube. THAT GAME SUCKKKKKKS.

Just as I got settled, ready for more ... it was over. I found this to be really disappointing, especially as half of the missions took place in areas from the main game (iirc 4 in total, 2 on Mercury, 2 on planets from the core game). Due to the fact that one of my primary complaints about the core game is that the campaign was too short, this paid for DLC added pretty much absolutely nothing.

In addition to this, there are only a few more adventures, and only one Public Event on Mercury, which is tiny. Furthermore, for players who don't buy the DLC, they are locked out of a lot of content they had access to during the core game. It's an absolute travesty.

This is all surrounded by the fact that the content added to the ingame microtransaction store, Eververse, is huge, which shows what Bungie is really all about.

I'm a first time, and last time, Destiny player. Never buying another Bungie game again after this.

APPARENTLY IF YOU DON'T BUY THE DLC YOU CAN'T DO PRESTIGE RAID, PRESTIGE NIGHTFALL OR TRIALS. Seriously? Wow..... I don't know what to say. I mean especially for the PC Players this seems really unfair, and even for the console players, to be gated out of content they paid for and had access to. Just, wow. So I guess not buying DLC isn't an option anymore.... Extremely dissapointing.

It's as though Bungie forgot to do their homework (DLC) and put something together the morning of. This is a poor excuse for a DLC which I don't usually purchase. Yes, we have once again been $h!t on

BungiVision seem intent on keeping up with DiceEA in wanting to rip off and alienate their player base. Three months since vanilla Destiny 2 was released and they lock content and platinum trophy behind a paywall (expansion).

And said expansion is seriously lacking in a lot of areas.

    And the corporate greed continues.....

2 hour campaign for 20$? Should have been free. (which was likely cut from base game itself)
    -Progression tied to microtransactions.
-re-used skins. (exotics from destiny 1. Just lazy...) -no pvp content... -weapons are poorly balanced.... -forgettable story. Game is a cash grab at this point. No passion. Dull. Eververse has about half the new items on it. This is not an expansion

This is not an expansion and it shouldn't be coming out this early considering they need to focus on fixing the base game first. At this point destiny needs a massive overhaul similar to how final fantasy 14 1.0 became a realm reborn 2.0. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xs0yQKI7Yw4

Worst thing is i had prepaid for the 2 dlcs and now i dont know even if i am going to play them

This is the worst Destiny DLC and quite honestly the worst video gaming experience I've ever had. It's short, repetitious to the extreme, filled with E grade writing and as per usual is Bungie reusing assets at its finest. This DLC completely put me off playing Destiny let alone ever buying DLC for it again (and I put 2000+ hours in Destiny 1!). Avoid this like the plague.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game should be called the Eververse expansion where Vanilla players are not allowed to play the end game content because they refused to pay the new "expansion".

The curse is nothing. There is no curse. It is all a lie created by the likes of Luke Smith and the rest of bungie employees.

The only redeemable quality of this game is the art direction, and the environments. Other than that, there is nothing to like about this game.

Bungie has completely missed the mark here. Even with the bundled "quality of life" changes they released with this "expansion" it is laughably barren and empty of anything worthwhile. More recycled D1 exotics, a tiny playable area, and atrocious writing have made this a serious case of buyers remorse for me.

All good-will Bungie earned from me in Destiny 1 is dead and gone. I may never play another Bungie title as long as I live and I am definitely done with this hollow shell of a game.

It's clear the end-game has been locked behind Eververse (loot-boxes). Our guardians have been nerfed into the ground. They took away all our items only to trickle them back to us as watered-down D2 versions.

The quality of life changes include a nerf to the shoulder-charge to prevent it from being used as mobility.

I played Destiny 1 the other day and the comparisons sum up Destiny 2. I'm disappointed and bored. A gorgeous game with amazing sound can't make up for everything we've lost.

I feel slow, weak, and mute. My guardian won't talk. My guardian can barely sprint anymore. My supers are weak. My subclasses are wet-noodles and constricting to choice. The armor is pointless and so are the mods.

This game is greed and hubris in a box.

a 2 hour campaign for $20? Is this a joke? The expansion doesn't address any major concerns about the game. No more vault space, no functional vault with decent sorting options, HDR is broken no PS4, mod system is still garbage, etc etc. Oh, and public events got nerfed. Thanks Bungo!

The map is absolutely tiny and completely devoid of anything interesting. Also, the new character of Osiris is so flat and unemotional and kind of feels like a waste to save since he is never shown doing anything worthwhile. The final boss of the game is laughably bad and is just a slightly bigger version of a vex cyclops. I thought Destiny 2 would be a new beginning for this franchise, which I think has a lot of potentials, but this clearly shows that Bungie and Activision are not interested in fleshing out this universe and more interested in abusing the consumer's wallet, I Honestly might not ever again play a game set in this universe if Bungie continues down the path of this awful scheme. Absolute awful waste of money. Less than 2 hours of uninteresting game-play, a single strike and old weapons. No bugs fixed, no concerns addressed, and a massive unethical crap on their fanbase - this is ignoring the controversy in that anyone not buying this DLC now has a huge portion of Destiny 2's end-game locked behind a paywall.

Oh what could have been, a Vex DLC on Mercury featuring Osiris sounds like an 8 course degustation, but is instead a stale dinner roll.

Bungie, is a studio more interested in micro transactions and patting themselves on the back, than providing meaningful content for it's consumers. A once dedicated player base who are quickly dropping this potato in favor of other games.

Unless you’ve already bought this as part of a season pass, don’t waste your money on Curse of Osiris until Bungie actually changes direction, and I’m not talking about executing their proposed changes which painfully miss the mark yet again. The base game of Destiny 2 is a great shooter for 50-60 hours of solid content on your first play through of a redemptive story. But there is no endgame to keep going beyond that and there isn’t anything packaged into this DLC than enhances that initial experience. At this point, if you’re desperate for a looter/shooter then either fire up Destiny 1 again, watch Anthem videos on YouTube and hope for a brighter Q4 2018, or else maybe go give the Division a chance. It had a dumpster fire launch but can be had on the cheap now and I hear it’s become a very good game in its current state.
