    Sin duda es un juego totalmente diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados, debemos tener en cuenta de que aunque Kojima es el creador del juego, éste no se trata de un "sucesor espiritual" de metal gear, eso deben tenerlo claro, no siempre hará los mismos tipos de juego; esta entrega es diferente y fascinante que obviamente no es para todos y menos para los acostumbrados a situacionesSin duda es un juego totalmente diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados, debemos tener en cuenta de que aunque Kojima es el creador del juego, éste no se trata de un "sucesor espiritual" de metal gear, eso deben tenerlo claro, no siempre hará los mismos tipos de juego; esta entrega es diferente y fascinante que obviamente no es para todos y menos para los acostumbrados a situaciones frenéticas de acción, el objetivo (a mi parecer) fue transmitir emociones y creo que lo ha logrado, a pesar que el juego es reciente y las "ayudas" de otros jugadores son pocas en el futuro habrá más y varios lugares y rutas serán más accesibles y eso dará mas dinamismo para aquellos jugadores impacientes. Para finalizar recomiendo el juego si lo que buscas es algo diferente y una historia aún más profunda de lo que se ha visto, el juego mejorará a corto plazo cuando más jugadores lo completen y puedas encontrar más ayudas, mi calificación para este juego es 8.5, sería más alto de no ser por ese tipo de interactividad "online" que propone Kojima que la verdad no estamos acostumbrados y que complica un poco la experiencia para los que lo jueguen offline.… Expand

    Simplesmente fantástico!!! O enredo, os gráficos, trilhas sonoras e a mecânica do gameplay. A implementação do fator "conexão" com a comunidade de jogadores em um sistema online agrega uma experiência única. A física funciona muito bem nesse game e é uma das dificuldades integradas no cenário, assim o próprio ambiente torna-se seu inimigo. Tudo funciona muito bem em Death Strading,Simplesmente fantástico!!! O enredo, os gráficos, trilhas sonoras e a mecânica do gameplay. A implementação do fator "conexão" com a comunidade de jogadores em um sistema online agrega uma experiência única.     This game is awesome, it has complex walking mechanic, great story and characters, and lore is a first class. I love the social aspect of the game and that the players can help each other.

    Ta gra jest niesamowita, posiada zaawansowaną mechanikę chodzenia, wspaniałą historię i postacie, i jeszcze lore to pierwsza klasa. Kocham aspekt społecznościowy gry i to że gracze mogą sobie pomagać.

    Stupendo. Se non vi piaceva non lo compravate. Non lamentatevi delle cutscene e del gameplay che sono le cose che rendono unico questo gioco.

    Not for everyone but definitely for me.
    A lot of people say this game is boring but I honestly don’t see it.
    I’ve been playing this game nonstop for 3 days, and I gotta be honest when I say that this is probably my second favorite game of the year, besides DMC5. The story, world building, characters, and gameplay are so incredibly unique, and well done.

    It is obvious, that it is not a game for everyone but i loved every second of it from the beginning to the end. The game is not perfect. But i think, that everyone who gives 0 Points for this will never get the message of cultural achievements like this game ;)

    This game is... an anomaly. It is truly polarizing in that you'll either love it to pieces like I do, or hate it for being a slow burn of a game filled with arduous journeys and painful experiences it is. If you have the resolve to stick with it though, it is an incredible experience, that will have you coming back without even knowing why.     Death Stranding's core gameplay loop is fresh and consistently enjoyable. The information within the game is enough to answer almost any questions you will have about its world. I completed the game in just shy of 50 hours, leaving many side quests behind, and feel that none of that time was wasted.     I havr played about 3/4 of the story and absolutely loved it, the aesthetic, atmosphere, and story are all excellent. It leaves me asking enough questions to want to continue playing and is exactly what I expected from Kojima. The graphics are excellent and the gameplay is fair, my only complaint is the repetitive cutscenes that play every time you enter a specific type of combat/sneaking section.

    Ya por el final deo juego puedo decir que me encanto...es cierto que el comienzo es lento peor yo lo disfrute de inicio a final...me encanto graficamente y agradezco que haya sido algo distinto ...no le pongo 10 porque flojeo en el apartado bosses que para mi suma al total del juego

    This is a great game. It has a very in-depth story that sucks you in and makes you want more. I highly recommend it. This game is about the journey and adventure.

Gameplay is very specific and in demands a different understanding. It is not a gun and run or RPG style it does take a little from them but it has created its own footstep in the    Prefect Game in my opinion.

    This game isn’t for everyone. If you want a engrossing and thoughtful story and an experience this game is for you. I find the trekking back and forth between story elements calming and a nice change of pace from most modern games. Kojimasan has always been a source of thoughtful story and this story is no different. Come into it with no expectations and take it slow. You will enjoy the stay.

This game needs to be completed for the player to grasp the full context of the game. I enjoyed my first playgthough ( had taken me about 30 hours). Now i am on my 2nd working on my 100%. This game calls back to the game that i grew up with. Kojima is a brilliant mind and it shows in this masterpiece.… Expand

    The story is challenging and requires you to draw your own conclusions instead of spoon-feeding you, like the Dark Souls series. Your enemy is the terrain and weather more than anything you can punch or shoot. You are rewarded for careful planning and attention to the terrain. You can't derp your way through with automatic parkour maneuvers. This is NOT a walking simulator as most people use the term. A walking simulator is just where you push forward on the stick while your character walks to the next area. The walking is more of a mindless time-sink.

    In Death Stranding you have to pay attention to so many details we all take for granted. You can't just pick up and carry 1000 items in your magic bag. You can't simply carry 20 ladders because you might need them. The shooting/fighting aspects are simple, but this isn't a shooter or a fighter. Those are more diversions to change up the pace than core parts of the game.

    There are so many things that I can't put them all into this review. So many details you can stumble across that make you feel like you discovered something new or leave you impressed that someone thought to include such a bit of realism in this game. If you think facing a challenge and working out things yourself, then you will love Death Stranding. If you want a game you can sleepwalk through will looking at your phone, troll random people to ruin their experience, or yet another cookie-cutter COD like shooter, then you will hate Death Stranding.

People can't give it it a 0 or even a 1, it's a 7 at lowest if you're not into it and a 9.5 if you are, but I'm rounding my score to 10.     I am speechless. I finished the game just now and I am overwhelmed by very different and beautiful emotions. The cry of joy is still present and I have to state that visually and narratively speaking, this game is one of the best experiences I ve ever made in a video game. For me it's close to flawless. As a gamer I always searched for something new.. A unique gem that gave me the emotional attachment I felt when I was a mini-me..sitting in my room playing all this interesting adventures as a child. After a while every game was the same. Every concept was already used and reused and rereused. Every single game blended together. Almost everything coming afterwards was just a descendant from the early ideas and concepts of video game developers.. All but just a few masterpieces in between. This one is one of them.… Expand

    Finally a creative game with that seems to ooze style and substance. I spent hours just exploring the starting areas playing with the game mechanics. The music and graphics and animations are superb! And I didn't get bored with this game unlike Red Dead Redemption 2.

I absolutely love this game and consider it not only a masterpiece but a generational milestone for gaming in general. Not even kidding. And it's not the crazy narrative.     For anyone serious, and I mean "serious," into gaming. This thing is a fn milestone. For most... It's probably really cool to look at and boring as hell.

    Being someone who's been gaming since i was 1-2 y/o (still have my 2600 in the closet) 37 now...
    Its a milestone, thats the most appropriate word i can think of atm. And yes, im having a blast.. so i guess that means its "fun."

    I think there's a lot who consider Kojima = Metal Gear and expected Metal Gear not really understanding Kojima at all. And while I can dig some MG, and would love something in the vein of it.. I'm more than glad he finally created something he wanted to create vs something a studio made him create. There's a reason Konami wanted Hideo to create more MG games... the general populous loved them. This is not a "general populous" game. I feel like Sony could be taking a hit off this. I just saw all the review bombs on this site before "spell checking" and I just want to thank them (SONY) for letting a true mind show what he's capable of with the digital medium. This is something that RARELY is allowed to happen and if this doesn't prove that Sony, at least at some point in their chain, cares about the gaming medium and pushing it forward, then I don't know what else they could possibly do. Make more shooty shooty/hacky slashy games i guess... the same things we've been playing for the past 20 some odd years. People buy those.    … Expand

The game has divided critics and gamers alike but the most important aspect is that there IS NO GAME like it. It's unique, with all the good and bad elements that comes with being unique. I've spent around 55It's funny that a game intended to bring gamers together (the whole Strand concept from the awesome Kojima) actually ended up dividing them so much and bringing out the hate hoard. The game has divided critics and gamers alike but the most important aspect is that there IS NO GAME like it. It's unique, with all the good and bad elements that comes with being unique. I've spent around 55 hours with this game and absolutely loved it, even though I had some reservations before playing.

    GAMEPLAY: the main aspect of the game is making a planned delivery from point A to B. You need planning ahead of your journey (resource management, cargo distribution on yourself for balance and ease of traversing, terrain study so that you can be prepared with climbing anchors or ladders or vehicles), you can study the weather to find out where you will be met with timefall and probably BTs (you can scan the map and you get information about areas with rain and information about the direction of the wind to try and predict where the rain is heading to), you can choose a vehicle if the terrain permits the use of one (either a bike for hard terrain, a truck for less difficult terrain and if you have a huge cargo, a floating carrier that connects itself to you if you want to go stealthy and on foot), you can choose which and how many weapons to take (you have pistols, rifles, shotguns, bola gun for stealth approach, grenade launchers, grenades, stun grenades, smoke grenades and each of them has different types of ammo for different situations, some of them are non-lethal for human enemies in order to prevent the creation of new BTs, others have hematic rounds made with Sam's blood in order to damage the BTs and the BT bosses). On your way from point A to B you might need to improvise, you need to traverse diffcult terrain, you need to use stealth to dodge human enemies or BTs, you might need to fight humans or BTs and BT bosses (fantastic design with Lovecraftian influences), you can build different constructions that can help you or other players traverse (bridges, energy generators, safe houses, zip lines)

    STORY : one of the most unique universes and lore I've seen in a while, with Lovecraftian influences, lots of twists, fantastic actors, awesome soundtrack and story moments

    The gameplay aspect is unique and does not revolve around classic mechanics and people unfortunately like to play games with classic gameplay. Most hate that you have to walk a lot, which is true and they have the right to hate that gameplay aspect, but review bombing this game with a 0 just because the game is not for them is simply put stupid. It's like blaming a game like Journey for not having combat, or blaming Borderlands 3 for having a lot of guns and rpg statistics to study. Death Stranding is a niche game, reviews have been released a week before the official game release, gameplay demos presented everything that you can do in game, this is the game and it's fantastic IF you like this gameplay style and story. Hating on a game just because it's not what you hoped is childish but it's fine either way. Financially the game will perform well and the kids thinking it's alright to rate a 0 for this game could easily go play something else with more instant gratification (maybe Uncharted 4) or other easier to grasp games so that they won't be forced to think too much.

    This is the best AAA game I've played since Witcher 3 and one of my favourite games all time (27 years of gaming), top 15, up there with Planescape Torment and Disco Elysium and Witcher 3 and Morrowind and Deus Ex and Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Sekiro and Nier Automata and The Last of Us and a few others.     Just completed the game last night.( not many side quests I'll complete them next week) This game is excruciatingly frustrating, the graphics are surreal and the story, it just blew my mind. I still didn't get some things. But I started enjoying the journey. Getting things for each delivery, going to different landscapes.     The Infamous Death Stranding, Oh my god! What do I say....The Game is definitely my game of this generation.

    It finally dared to do something greater and unique than most of the AAA games out there! I hope more games try to do something unique even if they don't turn out to be profitable.

You'll find yourself struggling to find a balance between accepting as much orders as possible, without overencumbering Sam too much and making him more challenging to control. The progression is also very nice, being able to carry more without issues, getting new helpful gear, and the Social Strand system is very interesting. Working towards something like building a road as a community feels really cool, and receiving an update on people liking equipment you left behind gives you a good feeling.

    It's sad that this game is getting review-bombed, but do understand that this game is not for everyone. Just don't expect to play this game and be able to sit back, and be entertained. This game tries to convey something, make you feel something instead of showing cool explosion number 34962.

I am working in a very stressful environment, cybersecurity. When I get home and I want to relax before bedtime I don't want a game that puts extra stress on me, I want a chill experience that gives me enough amount of challenge but also a good time playing it. There are only a few games that really put me in this mood: Death Stranding, Subnautica and Gravity Rush 2". When the weekend comes yes, surely I play games like GoW, horizon, spiderman, farcry, ac odyssey, etc. But none of them can really relax me after a hard day of work. That's why for me it could possibly be the game of this generation. The feeling when you simply walk in that empty space filled with superbly crafted nature-like landscapes and the moment when an in-game song starts rolling in, I think it's like a therapeuthical feeling I get that makes my brains " orgasm". I know this game is not for everyone. Probably will not be the game of the year but for me this is the game of my life that I have never anticipated it coming. I am terribly sorry for those of you reading all of this expecting to see a review of the game and instead reading about my experience with it.     The game opens up to you from second to second , you feel a part of this big plan of connecting the cities.
    It's not for everyone, if you can't live without constant action , shooting or interacting every second , it's definitely not for you.
    The atmosphere , the progress, the way which we wall help each other, those are the things that make this game amazing.

    Beautifully boring. After 50 hours, I can't think of any other words to describe this game. The environments and music are really well done but that's all I can really think of for any positives. The story is spread so thin, that I really didn't care for any of the characters at the end.     The sound design is outstanding,
    What many people find boring other people (me included) find extremely engaging and exciting. But the gameplay still lacks variety, especially when comparing with other greatly anticipated games of the past years.

    Again, I wasn't bored for a single minute in those 60+ hours I have in the game.

    For me, it is a solid 8. Saddens me to see the game being tanked with 0s so much but it's okay. To each their own, especially with a game as different as Death Stranding.    … Expand

    I thought I’d hate this game but it’s quite addictive. The game is weird so I can see how people won’t like it but if you’re familiar with Kojima games you’ll fit right in. Great visuals, story and very long cutscenes. Don’t read spoilers or it’ll subtract from the experience

    #DeathStranding  is so much fun for the mind. It’s like LSD - showing wonders only for prepared brains. The lore is vastly deep and immersive. Chiral knots concept are genius and going through every bit of design. It feels mathematically correct like the whole Universe

    There's an absolutely groundbreaking 10/10 game inside here .....sadly I found the final product suffers from repetitive mission design and in some of the more protracted sections an over indulgence of multiple long cutscenes of kojima-exposition about chiral BT BB blah blah....(especially towards the end) at its worst, death stranding made me feel as though my time was being wasted! Overall the gameplay loop of package delivery and the barren icelandic style alien setting I found to be very addictive and couldn't wait to get back in to play more. The equipment degredation/fabrication loop became an interesting part of the gameplay to me over time. The characters look INCREDIBLE as if a taste of next gen games in 2019. Through my 50 hour run time, I lament the time I spent inside the menu system the and it is this part of the gameplay design which feels ridiculous and in combination with the many repeated small cutscenes (going into private room/shower/connecting site to chiral network etc) reminded me of MGSV in that it really just eats your real world time.... you can skip these but to even have to do this feels in 2019 feels unnecessarily archaic compared to its open world genre peers. My hope is that there is a sequel/prequel that can improve on these areas as Kojima Productions has clearly got a fantastic team in making this content and if they could just take a leaf out of the other contemporary studios making these types of games I am certain they could achieve that 10/10 goodness that I know is possible.     I am absolutely enthralled by this game. I am sick of the twitch shooter and battle royals genre and thos game is the antidote. Make sure you get chapter 3 before scoring this game. Super excited to see how the strand system works out.

    It’s a amazing game, breathtaking visuals and the story got me on the first minutes in the game! It’s my first game from Kojima and I’m blown away for the originality the game got!
    The landscape evolution is so great during the game! I was not sure the game was for me because it’s not for everyone but I’m glad I play it.

    Game runs very smoothly. Haven't had one bug or game crash. I enjoy the soundtrack very well done. The vibe and scenery is so eerie it fits the scifi vibe very well. The game system pics up very quickly after the first initial scenes. The acting is just spot on with all the key roles. I cant wait to finish.

    Awesome exceeded expectations
    Actually I don't like most inventory management and delivering quests in games but in these game it works. Because there is different tools and mechanics you need to keep track of to get from point A to B.
    All negative reviews are about MGS but this is a different game and best one from Kojima.

That being said, I’m not gonna lie, once I received the first quest of the game and it had me deliver one item from point a to point b, and then has you do it again, and again... and again I rolled my eyes and said, “oh, so this is THAT kind of game.” Aka a game I would usually hate. However, there is something to be said about the breathtaking landscapes that are in this game not to mention a well put together story. By the end of it all I went from dreading making a delivery from one place to the other to being actually bummed out that I had reached the end. I honestly did not want it to end. I felt like there was still so much of the world that I hadn’t seen, other paths to take for deliveries...etc. The strand system that kojima has implemented in this game (players working together collectively to build structures In the game) Is very well thought out. There were countless times by where a complete stranger building a structure previously in their game made my journey exponentially easier and you can’t help feeling compelled to build structures of your own and contribute resources to help other players complete their structures as well. It’s like everyone is working together to help make your journey that much easier. If you can make it past the first 3 episodes of the game, I believe you will thoroughly be pleasantly surprised at how much you will enjoy the journey to the very end. If you’re looking for a shooter/action/rpg type game though you should look elsewhere. Death stranding is unapologetically a game of its own and it does not care if you like it or not. At the end of the day if you play this game from start to finish I truly believe that you might not sit there and say, “wow, this is definitely game of the year!” Or, “Wow! This is the best game I have ever played.” But rather, “Wow! I am so happy that I got to experience this world, and what an incredible adventure.… Expand

    This is legitimately my favorite game of the year and potentially my favorite PS4 exclusive to date, The game boasts beautiful environments, an excellent score, innovative gameplay, and a truly engaging story.

    I understand some of the criticism and can se how this game is not for everyone, however, the plethora of zeros Death Stranding received on release day are inconceivable.

    I do truly love this game. It's like a community build game, where everyone contributes to make both their own world better at the same time everyone else. I do wonder what would happen if very few bought the game, because the power that runs the whole game lays in it's player base. This is a completely new experience and I highly recommend you to try the game before making assumptions

    Great and meaningful game that is not for everyone. Some minor flaws and maybe 9 is more close imo but overal 6.6 is ridiculous so i give 10.

    By far a game that is enjoyable and relaxing. It didnt oversell itself up until its release and it didnt under sell it either. This game just speaks Hideo Kojima and he has shown us how his creative ideas can be entertaining and amusing.

    Most original game of the year, high quality storytelling. This game makes funny and interesting what others don't, travelling in open world maps. Its brilliant and addictive.

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
