    No lo quería creer hasta jugarlo pero resultó ser verdad y es que a pesar de su historia y sus gráficos el Death Stranding es un juego monótono y decepcionante, el control es malo, irónicamente el personaje a penas puede caminar de tanto que tropieza y para colmo hay una misión donde debes tener cuidado de no tropezar porque te explotará una bomba, me arrepiento de haberlo comprado, no loNo lo quería creer hasta jugarlo pero resultó ser verdad y es que a pesar de su historia y sus gráficos el Death Stranding es un juego monótono y decepcionante, el control es malo, irónicamente el personaje a penas puede caminar de tanto que tropieza y para colmo hay una misión donde debes tener cuidado de no tropezar porque te explotará una bomba, me arrepiento de haberlo comprado, no lo recomiendo en lo absoluto.… Expand

    I've played it for 7 hours and all i can say is that it gets tiresome very soon. I thought exploring will be comfy (like exploring while listening to podcasts and enjoying the views) but it gets boring and unrewarding very soon. Maybe the story will be the redeeming factor but i just can't imagine walking during 40 min through a void land just to see a cutscene, and then repeat and repeat.I've played it for 7 hours and all i can say is that it gets tiresome very soon.     After Kojima experienced and felt the value and importance of (people helping each other) when he had to start from scratch to build his own Studio .. he aimed for higher values (Helping).
    Also as always Kojima succeed to deliver a new interesting story,

    One of the most refreshing games I’ve ever played, started playing the moment it released at midnight last night & have played all day. It completely evokes the current cultural zeitgeist and has made me think about things in a different way.

    Brilliant game. Anyone with a bit of patience will see the the quality gameplay and the long term rewards. The multiplayer/shared universe element is an added bonus. Beautiful and complex, Death Stranding is a Kojima game through and through with his trademark storytelling and humour. Loving it so far

    This is an ambitious game that is unique in almost all aspects. For this I applaud the developers. The story is wild and the gameplay is engrossing. While this game isn’t for everyone, it hits the mark for me.

    saying this is a walking simulator is overly simplified, it is more of a high risk delivery simulator. The game is polished and has amazing graphics, the story is fresh and unique from all games currently in the market, it's always cool to hate on something different but this game is needed to push the medium forward.

    Nor is it fitting within any catergory of games. Most of the time this game has its quiet moments and those moments are absolutely fantastic. While the surrounding and environment makes you truly feel like you're alone. Manifestation of other players can be seen or heard. This makes the game less lonely but yet it feels so desolate. The devs and directing did this absolutely brilliantly.

    The transition within this game is just outright fantastic. Including the acting and cutscenes. Its a very well polished game and very well excecuted. While situated in a serious environment, this game does not stop to show and express the absurdity of what gaming is. A good reflection on life how we shouldn't deny the absurdity of life.

    Ita unique to it's core and there is no other games like this. Which is good.
    Kojima is pushing for something here. And rest assure that in the upcoming near future, many games will apply and use elements of Death Stranding to into their own.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The good: The graphics are impressive in PS4 Pro. The gag of having Horizon Zero Dawn's mechanical dinosaurs walked around.

    The bad: Boring story (I did see in the movie The Postman by Kevin Costner, 1997, Warner) so you can clearly see where Kojima's “creativity and inspiration” comes from. Boring gameplay. The game has auto-save but does not let you record progress if you are in the middle of a delivery mission. Fast travel points and teleportation do not serve to shorten the path when you have an order to deliver. The weapons arrive already having spent at least half of the game. Fights against bosses and mini-bosses are very simple. The last trailer was deception as it took the best scenes and put them to generate hype, but the result has already been seen that it is not that frantic all the time. The ending is a two-hour video, really? During the game they tell you that "human beings are isolated in cities" you get to the cities and you don't see any humans, do they live in the clouds like the Jetson or underground like the Morlocks? All cities are the same. Sam Porter in the original version without patches had the same balance of a rag-doll, Sam fell by any road that was not minimally level.

    The Meh: the game did not come out and already had a patch that corrects the bad balance of Sam Porter. During the press analysis phase there were mysterious players who could only say that they were Beta-testers or “a control group” since they were putting structures like zip lines, highways, roads, bridges and outpost again and again, restoring them to that did not degrade, but to make a sad camp or tower you require a considerable amount of credits and they made bases and even roads, they were users with many almost unlimited resources to build. Carts, Rover and motorcycles only serve on worlds connected to the Internet where they have created highways or roads    … Expand

    Las primeras horas están bien, pero según avanza el videojuego se torna bastante repetitivo y monótono. Gráficamente es una barbaridad, un gran doblaje como es marca de la casa en Sony y lastima de ese mundo tan vacio.

    It’s a amazing game, breathtaking visuals and the story got me on the first minutes in the game! It’s my first game from Kojima and I’m blown away for the originality the game got!
    The landscape evolution is so great during the game! I was not sure the game was for me because it’s not for everyone but I’m glad I play it.

    this is one of the best openings in a game i ever experienced

    THANK YOU SONY/KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS! Death Stranding is a beautiful game with fresh new ideas. Beautiful visually, the sound track is outstanding, and the story is unlike any other! NO LOOT BOXES! I'm so thankful for this breath of fresh air!

    The game simply lacks gameplay, engaging gameplay, substantive gameplay.
    The presentation of the game is very pretentious, which is a problem I had with the presentation of the story telling of the MGS games. The game does alot of things very well be it all meaningless if you are just watching and barely engaging only doing minimal task and actions.

    I feared this since the release date trailer, I had a feeling the game was going to be overly cinematic while lacking gameplay. This is all Kojima fault.... he thinks way too highly of himself and wants to do these over cinematic pretentious games. He needs a reality check. MGS5 was not good and the only MGS game I did not bother to finish. BUT we put the put the blame on Konami cuz there was evidence of bad doing on their part, but people over looked the problem Konami had with Kojima: he was too ambitious, he wanted an bigger and bigger budget, and he was taking too long to develop the game.

    Everyone was supporting and giving Kojim,a all the benefit of the doubt with Death Stranding. Everyone was hype and willing to wait as long as it took, and he failed to deliver. Instead he delivered the cinematic Hollywood movie he always wanted to make. This was an ego project for Kojima. He did not think about the gamers at all when making this game.    … Expand

    It feels really slow, the plot is fine but nothing original, there's ads everywhere and overall is not fun at all. Probably my fault for having high spectations for this game but at the end it feels like konami was doing a good job restricting kojima

    They've managed to get great graphics from an ageing console. Anybody leaving bad reviews just doesn't get it, it's pushing boundaries on story telling and social interaction in gaming. You feel connected even though your playing single player, I don't do multilayer either.
    I can see a few updates will only improve the gameplay.

    This game is beautiful, I thought that it would be boring because some of the reviews implied so. But I couldn't put controller down once I started the game. Maybe this game is not for everybody, but for me it's exactly what I want to play at this time.

What I enjoy most about the game is the satisfaction of successfully navigating through difficult terrain, avoiding or escaping from BTsVery unique and innovative. This isn't a game for everyone.     Игра не для всех. Как минимум нужно дойти до финала чтобы оценивать. Более чем заслуживает десятки, Кодзима поработал в своем духе. Финал - гениальный шедевр.

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
