    This game is Epic !! Great! Wonderful!
    It will make you laugh, cry, empathize ...

    Firstly, this game is NOT for everyone. If your game collection is a blur of FIFA, COD etc then you should probably give this one a miss. This game require an attention span longer than the average deathmatch duration. Comments like "walking simulator" come from people who never bothered to get beyond the introduction and discover 'other' modes of transport, for example.

    For those who appreciate a narrative adventure that rewards persistence, logic and ingenuity - this could be right up your street. It's a vast, hauntingly beautiful game with an immersive story and unique game mechanics that will appeal to the fastidious poet in anyone who can wade through the swamp of XBox-scented zero score review bombing, citing 'pretension' as a substituted word for 'Not a rehash of every Action/FPS trope in the book' or simply 'Not available on XBox' as so often is the case.

    This is a game for relaxing into, enjoying a narrative experience and problem-solving your way across a vast landscape. Find yourself at a cliff-edge by mistake? good thing you brought those ropes to rappel down. See a good shortcut? use your kit to fashion a route and leave it there for other players to benefit.

    It is a leap outside the norm, and the backlash towards it just a symptom of the dull-eyed conformity that keeps EA and Treyarch is business. Make your own mind up.

    The best game I had played since the Witcher 3. The true masterpiece was written by a genius (lol but true). For first you understand nothing, but then you get more involved and this world seems to you so real... I really love this game, playing on 5 chapter and even don't know how it will end. And I don't want to see the end...

    Le pongo un 10 al juego para contrarrestar el hate.... por que ya veo que esta porqueria de metacritic no es capaz de hacer nada para solucionar este problema.... Para calificar un juego solo deberia hacerse con un codigo unico que venga en el juego que compras y tres dias despues te avisan que ya puedes calificar el juego . Asi tendrias suficiente tiempo para probarlo.     I have been playing Death Stranding for more than a month now, finished it and started a new game and it has given me a lot of gaming-satisfaction. As many have pointed out, the game can not possibly be for everyone but for those that like organizing Zip-Lines for a cross country fastest possible deliveries, it is :-) I give this game a ten out of ten.

The ones referring to wierdness and unlogical reasons might be stuck in the wierd promo footage realesed before release or simply lack the simple intelligence/willpower to understand a basic scenery explained to them.     This game is just a masterpiece and a flow of fresh air on an era of rinse, clean and repeat.
    Only true gamers can appreciate what Kojima has done and what it means for the gaming industry. Perfect game from start to finish.

    An amazing game! I couldn’t bother to write a review, but seeing all these 0s from dull haters which didn’t even touched a game is just unfair. You have to play it to really feel that magic of travelling around huge and beautiful world with just you and your cargo. It’s awesome meditating experience, and everyone should at least give it a try!

    You either finish the game and rate it a 10/10, or give it a 0 because you've struggled for couple of hours. The same story happened with the original Half-Life back in 1998, when those who haven't finished the train ride rated this game ver low.

    Gameplay-wise it's a hell of an emotional ride too. There were sequences when I hated the game and totally loved it, I felt full emotional spectre during this 40-hour campaign, crying at the end of it, and I simply cannot put anything else apart from 10, because this game soaked me wet and had me laughing my ass off, I felt anxious during BT sequences and I was stricken by these long beautiful cutscenes.
    The online is amazing too, because you will never be haunter by griefers and everyone online is participating in making this open world better, even though it's just a game. I truly believe that this game will make you better as a person afterwards, if you will understand the need of it of course.    … Expand

Give em more remakes and the same old FPS and its an instant 10/10, but a completely different type of game and its a nope 1/10. Amazing graphics on a console which is epic smooth transition from an area to another is amazing. Its not for everyone yes its not it will take a lot of time from you bit the reward is amazing , to get the last piece your colleague needs is amazing , getting like i never get likes like that from my entire life lol. Review bombing is ok people thinks what ever Hideo will do will impress them No he is doing what he likes and he did it with amazing cast. , team , Guerrilla games and Sony .     A masterpiece by Hideo Kojima and his team. The graphics are awesome. Although I knew that this game divided the fans and gamers, this game is worth to play. Playing on PS4 is great, and can't wait to play it next year on PC.

    Don't listen to the complaints on how much a "Game" it is. we have evolved the medium to be anything that is an interactive experience. that said this game has more "Gameplay" than most other games on the market.     Probably My favorite Kojima game since MGS2 or ZOE2. There is nothing quite like it.

    It's like if the games "Journey" and Metal Gear Solid had a baby with more niche games like Eurotruck simulator and Lost in Blue.

    It gets better the further you get in, you really feel like you are working together to create a connected world. There are more ways to deliver a package than most AAA games have for choice in their entirety.

    To give you an idea, my first full delivery I accidentally fell into a river dropping all my packages. I desperately swamp t shore against the stream, bolted down the river and tossed a ladder down to block the packages so I could regrab them.. As I do I get attacked by terrorist bandits and we fight it out on the ladder, I knock one in the face with a case sending him into the water and tackle the next.

    Now I drive around in a truck that I keep loaded with all sorts of traversal options for every delivery task and even have a network of mechs and roads.

Several hours in and no faults their. The gameplay is also a refreshing change to the same old same old that is being pumped out at the moment. As much of that time has been spent cleaning up trophies as opposed to polishing off the story. I have at minimum 100 hours left and each time I think the game is done surprising me with technological upgrades to better aid my journeys, I’m surprised all over again. You get a trike, a truck and a hover cargo craft you can ride on as early as episode 3. You get highways to ride clear across the central US from end to end. You get several varieties of grenades, non-lethal guns, various decoys and all the makings of artistic excellence from a man amidst a very strong departure from the slave owners who once drove him into the ground. Kojima made a game where we help one another. The social strand system is INVALUABLE and has made the game everything it is. The maps are also sprawling, daunting and gorgeously designed to the point of putting everything to utter shame with far less by way of assets.     Everything I expected from this game, got! Hideo thank you, an unforgettable and a new experience, touching the plot. Unfortunately I see mirroring with the author's cinema, take his colleague Nicholas Winding Refn, not all of his films are successful judging by the reviews, but I think they are brilliant and great!

    If you are a fan of Ico, Shadow of The Colossus.... if you are a fan of the beautiful, realistic open world of Red Dead Redemption, and the sci fi mechanics of Horizon Zero Dawn, then you will love this game. Do not believe the negative reviews, they probably dont have a PS4. This is a slow paced game, with great music, beautiful graphics and a very engaging story and characters. One ofIf you are a fan of Ico, Shadow of The Colossus.... if you are a fan of the beautiful, realistic open world of Red Dead Redemption, and the sci fi mechanics of Horizon Zero Dawn, then you will love this game.     Могу описать так . Просто эмоции Первая четверть это вау такой механики ещё не было , все странно но очень круто. Вторая четверть постройки и онлайн приколы с теми же эмоциями и ощущением что ты не один и другие люди играющие чем то помогают. Третья четверть это самое после чего многие могут забить, это много одного и того же, но ты уже погружен туда и не    Прошел Death stranding
    Могу описать так . Просто эмоции Первая четверть это вау такой механики ещё не было , все странно но очень круто. Вторая четверть постройки и онлайн приколы с теми же эмоциями и ощущением что ты не один и другие люди играющие чем то помогают. Третья четверть это самое после чего многие могут забить, это много одного и того же, но ты уже погружен туда и не остановишься. Последняя четверть это очень много эмоций сюжета и катсцен, вроде финал и титры, но это не конец и не титры.. И финал, тут у меня нет слов это целый фильм, финал это целый фильм таких катсцен ещё не было , таких эмоций тоже давно. Все это приправлено постоянным ощущением на протяжении игры что рядом непонятный враг и нереально сильным общим сюжетным посылом.

    Это очень крутой артхаус среди игр.

    I have played over 4 hours and it's like no other game I have ever played. It's slow methodical but so gorgeous. I think we should embrace games that try something new instead of your cods and gtas. Regurgitating the same old formula but with a new shine. Praise be hideo kojima the saviour of video games..

Like Kojima said,not many ppl gonna like it,but those who do will love it. I totally understand what he was trying to create and the more you progress the more stuff you get that will ease your journeys. Yes,the game has many problems,like OK physics and poor combat system,but the game didnt bored me at all because each time when i was about to get bored the game would just throw a new mechanic into my face and i would think how can i use it and where to test it. Elements of multiplayer,if you can even call it a multiplayer, are very good.
    A game that is different from anything we know so far,that's why people don't like it i guess.
    And no,a walking simulator becomes interesting with time when you get different difficulties on your way.

    DISCLAIMER: I am a big fan of Kojima's games (except for MGS5), but not so much a fan of the man's    As much as I wanted to jump in to defend this game, I wanted to complete the story first. As only 10% of people online (as of writing this) have reached the penultimate level clear trophy, a vast amount of the reviewers here have unlikely completed it prior to slapping it with a 10 or a 0.

    DISCLAIMER: I am a big fan of Kojima's games (except for MGS5), but not so much a fan of the man's business practices.I enjoy his meta narrative-focused stories and Nolan-esque exposition dumps.In this case, bias did not dictate my enjoyment of Death Stranding.

    Firstly, I don't believe this game really needs an arbitrary score. The experience is not designed to entertain in the conventional sense, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the task of micro-managing cargo and trudging endlessly across unwelcoming terrain. Yes, there is a lot of walking, but most game genres can be distilled down to very basic fundamentals. "It's a walking simulator" could be the banalest statement that's been thrown at a title since people walked out of The Revenant stating "it was just Leo flopping about in the snow for two hours".

    Just chill with it and enjoy the journey. I gave it a 10 because it is an unforgettable experience that pushes the envelope of Sci-Fi much in the way Blade Runner and Metropolis did. If you have ever seen and liked a Tarkovsky film, this is the closest videogames have to that experience.

    Without spoiling, Death Stranding is Kojima's most self-contained and easily explainable story yet. Stick with it to the end and you will not be disappointed. The delivery and performance of the cast is the best you will see this console generation, easily besting Detroit: Become Human. The themes are heavy-handed in a way only Kojima could deliver without being totally cringe-worthy.

    One of my favourite gameplay experiences ever. It is unlike anything i've played before. It is however probably closer to euro truck simulator 2 than say metal gear solid. And i'm glad. Yes you are delivering from A to B. But the journeys in between go from zen-like to action with human enemies to stranger things kinda horror with the BT's then back to relaxing journey all in one mission.One of my favourite gameplay experiences ever.     The game is pretty simple. I played on the hardest difficulty and didn't notice any difficulties, died only 2 times, and all the stuff I have delivered always was in perfect condition.     I was really sceptical about playing this game since all the early reviews were extremely negative. i went with my gut and bought it anyways and 4 hours into it im actually amazed by it. The only way to really know is to play it for yourself. Its an incredibly good game

There is mindless entertainment (Call of Duty) , and then there's entertainment infused with serious art, and this falls into the latter category.

    Highly recommend to anyone who would enjoy a very unique and artful experience. Wouldn't recommend to teenagers who play games to overstimulate themselves with video game crack and scream at each other while point-and-click shooting and dying a million times a match.    … Expand

    Delivering packages is in fact the main task of this game, but japanese developers have different understanding of walking in video games. Mario, Zelda BOTW, and now Death Stranding shows how much work they put in the motoric of movement - activity you do constantly in video games. Because of that, while in other games - walking is just a means to an end, in death stranding walking is the gamplay itself. It's really complex, thought through and polished. It forces you to re-evaluate what's important in a video game. While in other games traveling is just a boring activity to kill another mosner / check off another quest of the list / ge the carrot at the end of the stick - in DS traveling is the biggest joy by itself. While in other games I'm always annoyed when I have to travel far, in DS I'm glad to do so.

    A lot have been said about the story, world, graphics and characters, but gameplay is the best part of the game in my opinion. Since delivery is evaluated with grades, delivering a package in a perfect shape despite of the difficulties bring the same kind of satisfaction as clearing mission clean in a stealth game. DS is forcing you to make decisions all the time - what path to take? What equipment to take with you? Run through scavanger territory to save time, or take a long route trying to avoid them? How to get down the hill and not fall on your face droping cargo. Every step you take is a decission in this game and that's why its never boring. I even like the need to take break in private room, cutscenes of geting out of shelters etc - its a nice break that makes experience way more immersive.

    Saying this, I wish game was more difficult, especially mules are easy after getting bolla gun. I wish trips were longer instead of spaming tons of delivery side quest between near shelters. Online aspect didn't convince me either so I turned it off - didn't see point building bridges, taking ropes / ladders when other players already spammed map with all of that making a lot of equipment useless. Yet I think this game is a masterpiece and it hurts me to see how bad its reception is. I recommend you to try it yourself. and btw. I'm not Kojima fan. Actually it pisses me off how this guy is spaming his name everywhere, taking credit for everything while game is a creative effort of many people.    … Expand

    Pisao bih malo detaljnije ali necu da spoilam. Uglavnom sam gameplay mi je fanstastican, sporije je nego smo navikli u drugim igrama ali zato totalni odmor i uzivancije pri cemu se mora sve dobro planirati.

     

    Bas sam se uzivio par puta kada sam isao krajolikom, natrpan a odjednom se kamera udalji te pocne muzika odlicja za tu atmosferu pa bas da neki poseban ugodjaj atmosferi gdje se covjek malo moze iskljuciti od svakodnevnih desavanja i problema.

     

    Nisam jos daleko napredovao jer vidim da tek otkljucavam neke ključne elemente igre i jos nisam dosta toga vidio od samih mehanika. Ono sto sam imao priliku malo vidjeti je to suradjivanje i dijelenje sa drugim igracima i to me bas odusevilo. Bas su uspjeli napraviti da se osjeca tolika povezanost sa tim drugim osobama koje su tu prolazile i ostavili bilo sta i ova mehanika mi se bas svidja.

     

    Samo hodanje mi nije nikako naporno i tako su i taj dio igre dobro uradili da je merak i da se ima osjecai da se bas nesto postiglo kada se prodje neka prepreka ili stigne na odrediste. Mora se na puno stvari paziti kako bi sve islo kako treba a igra i sam svijet su toliko imerzivni na zaboravis lahko na stvari oko sebe.

     

    Eto to je to onako nabrzaka i ukratko pisano s mobitela. Kada utonem jos vise u samu igru i budem na racunaru pisat cu malo detaljnije.

     

    Igra je takva da jedva cekam ponovo da pocnem igrati i cim sam se probudio bila mi je na pameti, a to mi se nije dugo desilo.

     

    P.S. iznenadjen sam sa svojim ps4 pro, dok je na drugim igrama bio nenormalno glasan, u DS tokom gameplay-a se i ne cuje, upali se tokom cut scena i to opet ne bas na maksimum a i kad se zaleti opet uspori. Dobro optimizovana igra vjerovatno.    … Expand

    Thank god someone tried to make a different game. This industry is getting real predictable and this is what we need right now. Thank you kojima and crew for having balls enough to do so.

    Masterpiece. After 50+ hours of play I can say that I am addicted to this game =)
    But I highly recommend everyone to play till chapter 3 as fast as you can - after that, this game explodes in every aspect.

    So much fun! No bugs, superb

    Such a unique game! Some people won't like playing the game, but I love it!!! Such fun wondering the landscape dodging monsters and I can't wait to see what happens in the story and what happens with everyone connecting in the world!

    The gameplay itself Is the low side of the game. Many dont like it and me personally I enjoyed but did get a little bored at first. But as the game goes on the story ramps up and the sometimes tedious gameplay gets better. When later in the game and the story really unfolds you see why Hideo Kojima is one of the best writers and creators out there.     This is not a WALKING SIM! Yes you have to deliver packages but how you get there the route you take and tools used to do so. As with all Kojima games tools are were it’s at. From ladders you can chain together for bridges or high cliffs to anchors and rope to repel. Build a portable P.O. Box. Leave gear for other players help each other make deliveries. Leave social signs for others like there signs. Look the mutts and bolts of DS are insane. If your looking for a new experience in gameplay then this is for you.… Expand

    I didnt even like the Metal Gear games. But i am SO HAPPY that i gave death stranding a try. One of the best experiences ive had the pleasue to play. The highlight is definately its overwhelmingly interesting world! Biggest downside is the gameplay loop might not work for some players with zero patience.

    No le pongo esta nota por ser fan de Kojima, que no lo soy pero es que de verdad creo que el juego se la merece, la historia es impresionante, los graficos son espectaculares, los personajes son buenísimos y el gameplay loop aunque (lo que dicen es totalmente cierto) no es para todos a muchos de nosotros nos parece absolutamente divertido he inmersivo.     A new masterpiece from Kojima-san. I really love how beautiful the world is, the music, actors. The gameplay is a lot of fun imo and enjoyable. The story is excellent.

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
