    Desde que empecé a jugar me tiene atrapado, todo tiene su porque y lo explican con una lógica increíble... realmente es un excelente juego y las mecánicas son increíbles.. caminar no es solo caminar y las cosas que puedes hacer son muy diversas.. no te aburre y saca un provecho a la grafica hasta el tope...

    A lot of people say that this game isn't for everyone and this is true... I'm giving the score 9 because I'm taking into consideration that Kojima just created his company and the quality of the game (Cinematics, Graphics, mechanics) and using all those actors is impressive for a first game made really quick.

    I liked the concept of the story. It makes you think (more then I'd like some times lol) and it's not the trivial game story most are used to. It's a very different game and confusing some times. I could just "connect the dots" at the last minutes of the game. But i think it could be more explained. It seems to get a little rush on the end, but considering this is his first game I understood.
    Just don't give up of the game on the middle and keep playing (skip the secondary deliveries if you didn't enjoy this mechanics) at least to understand the story. This game is almost like a Movie, people that don't like a lot of cinematic won't like it.    … Expand

    Don't believe the negative reviews. This game is a masterpiece. It's kinda slow burner, but it's eventually very rewarding. Easily one of the best games ever created. I've been playing it for a day now, and I'll sure go for platinum. I don't know why some people complain about it being boring, it's merely trying to be different and bring something new to the industry.

    I'm surprised how much hate this game is getting. I'm sitting here playing the game and get Witcher 3 vibes all the time. Not because it's like Witcher 3, but because it's so unique, full of magic and full of soul. It sucks me in like Witcher 3 (my game of the gen) and it's hard to put the controller down. And yes, it is a walking/delivery simulator in many cases, but the gameplay loop isI'm surprised how much hate this game is getting.     На первый взгляд игра кажется однообразной, про обычную доставку грузов, но чем дальше проходишь, тем сюжет сильнее затягивает, и вот ты уже не можешь от неё оторваться.

    II love this game. A master-crafted narrative story, top of the line acting, excellent music/score, and slow and addictive gameplay loop. The game does take some time to pick up. YOU HAVE TO GET PAST CHAPTER 3. The game picks up A LOT after CH 3 and introduces you to new lethal weapons. If you do not get past CH 3, the game will feel very slow. People who love the old Evangelion anime andII love this game. A master-crafted narrative story, top of the line acting, excellent music/score, and slow and addictive gameplay loop.     This game is not for everyone, it is definitely an acquired taste. If you are willing to spend time to get past CH3 to experience this masterpiece of a story, then you are going to love it!!

    Ciò vuol dire che chi l'ha valutato 0 è in malafede? Questo gioco non può essere rappresentato da uno 0? Tutt'altro. Questo gioco merita tutti gli 0 che ha ricevuto come tutti i 10 con cui è stato valutato.

    Questo perché fallisce quando si tratta di intrattenere una fascia di pubblico che fa della sfida, dell'azione e dell'immediatezza la priorità assoluta; mentre risulta perfettamente confezionato per chi può prendersi il tempo di godersi un viaggio, apprezzare il lato artistico, tuffarsi in un gameplay più intimo e meticoloso.

    Questo potrebbe essere il perfetto gioco di Schrödinger: vale sia 0 che 10, finché non lo provi e decidi effettivamente se è un gioco che fa per te oppure no.

    I found myself immediately engaged with the story. There are some frustrating things (mostly weird button mapping for some functions) but it’s a unique and rewarding experience. I feel connected to other players and I feel a desire to leave likes and leave things to aid others. I’ve never played a MGS game all the way through (2 hours of MGS5) but this is a different game entirely. It’sI found myself immediately engaged with the story. There are some frustrating things (mostly weird button mapping for some functions) but it’s a unique and rewarding experience. I feel connected to other players and I feel a desire to leave likes and leave things to aid others. I’ve never played a MGS game all the way through (2 hours of MGS5) but this is a different game entirely. It’s quirky and silly at times, but the humor is much appreciated in the bleak post-apocalyptic world you inhabit.     Oddly I find the game addicting. But I know it doesn’t seem to be all that intriguing when you’re trying to explain the game’s concept to someone. To be honest, it sounds boring; being a delivery man. But I’ve played it through twice now and I can’t get enough!

I have never played any Kojima games and this was my first and I honestly loved it.. though the idea is pretty simple that he’s a delivery porter,connecting the cities was the amazing part... I personally loved it and I cried at the end when we get to know that he too was a BB at one point... I would love to see what more content Kojima would add to this game and I loved the concept... good going Kojima!!… Expand

Maybe in the modern world people can’t anymore digest anything more complicated than a non-stop action flowing at you effortlessly?

    Death Stranding belongs to a rare breed of games where despite a very simple base gameplay mechanic (yes, you deliver packages), the challenge that is actually presented to a player and the way how it is solved constantly evolves. First few hours of the game are very tedious indeed. You just walk around and primarily run or hide from dangers in order to survive. Who knew you could make a legit gameplay challenge from just walking straight? You have to constantly maintain your balance and every wrong step means that your character falls over, damaging the cargo. Shortly after that you get access to some vehicles and structures (like bridges), and the problem you start solving is how to make locations accessible by transport, so you wouldn’t have to walk back there ever again. The dullness of walking is actually what drives you forward as a player, because as the game progresses it gives you plenty of tools to deal with that. Every new city you connect unlocks something that massively boosts your convenience, so that your goal as a player aligns nicely with the goal of your character – you sincerely want everyone to become connected again, because travelling over connected regions with all structures available makes a massive difference.

    Towards mid game the nature of the challenge evolves further. You encounter a vast landscape and you need a lot of resources to rebuild infrastructure, like highways, zip lines and fast travel points (because who wants walking?). That requires tons of resources (literally, tons), so you have to figure out where to get these in industrial volumes, which is a challenge of its own. You raid enemy camps (where you can have a number of different strategies to choose from, including padding yourself with armour and run in guns blazing if you want some action), you now deliver packages on a huge truck and your problem is to maximise amount of orders you fulfil as you cross the continent in one or another direction, locations you’ve developed help you back with resources and you can see how collective online community turns hostile environment into a quite habitable place. Finally a combination of character development, gadgets and advanced boots allows you to dash over a rocky terrain effortlessly without having to worry about the balance, you get tools to fight monsters, you start feeling like you’ve nailed it – and then the game changes again and shifts the focus onto something else (but yes, you still deliver packages).

    Despite seemingly repetitive main premise, there are many different things to do which you can mix and match depending on your mood, and I’m surprised how the game manages to keep a sense of novelty and progression by constantly throwing something new into the mix. I can easily see though how players who miss out all these game elements and just rush to a next story way point on their two can get frustrated when they’re asked to go back. When I backtrack I do it in comfort of my truck on a paved highway, completing a dozen of orders along the way for the highest rating and then make it back with more resources to drive exploration further – this feels very satisfying.

    The setting is pretty novel (though creepy and cryptic), there is a lot of lore to explore if you care to read emails and interviews, every character in the game actually has a story thought through. Yes, a lot of them are just holograms that serve no other purpose other than justifying a delivery from point A to point B, but all of them have some sort of history and personality. Main cast is great, all actors do their job. Sometimes they get way over the top of course, but that’s Kojima’s signature style, you have to be expecting that. Also the studio has addressed a lot of early feedback with an option to skip or disable repetitive cinematics, disband other player’s objects blocking your way and so on.

    In a way I think Sony has ruined the reception of the game with their greedy and aggressive marketing. They had created so much noise and made Kojima’s next game such a big thing... All players who rushed to shops looking for a gaming experience of their lifetime were rightfully disappointed – it was simply impossible to deliver that promise...    … Expand

    Just picked this game up, waited a while for a drop in price because wasn't sure if I would like it but so far I can't put this game down! Amazing graphics, the story is strange and keeping me ingaged and looking like its gonna be a masterpiece! This is a must play

It’s not for everyone, but for those who can really appreciate the emotion that the game intends to make you feel,    This game is a masterpiece.

    No es un juego aburrido, pero es lento. es un juego que tienes que jugar de cierta manera. No es el tipo de juego que pones cuando regresas del trabajo y tienes una hora para jugar. Tienes que empatizar con los personajes y el mundo para obtener la experiencia completa. Si lo juegas como tiene que ser, pasarás muchas horas ayudando a la gente, tomando su carga perdida y usando estructuras de otras personas. O simplemente ver los paisajes y explorar. En serio, es fácil invertir más tiempo que piensas lejos de la narrativa, pero como dije, si no puedes hacerlo, probablemente este juego no es para ti.

    Ahí es cuando los conceptos de conexión se hacen más fuertes. La comunidad siempre está tratando de ayudarse mutuamente a construir estructuras, o dejando sus herramientas para ayudarse unos a otros, sin esperar nada a cambio. La comunidad es saludable y colaborativa.

    -A medida que avanza el juego, siempre tienes nuevas opciones, herramientas y descubrir cosas nuevas.
    -Los momentos de "música" son simplemente increíbles. Un montón de "momentos bonitos" para recordar mientras se juega.

    I never was a Kojima fanboy but this game clearly made me one. Despite many people claming about the boringness of this game, its slowness and calmness combined with great soundtrack and story made me absolutely love it.

To be fair, I don't think you're walking around very often with a baby attached to you while at risk of being attacked by dead spirits from other dimensions. There are weaknesses to Death Stranding, but the package delivering simulation is not one of them. I think its a strength if you have patience and like being fully immersed in a strange open world. In fact, there are many strengths in this game. The non combat gameplay is top level. The story and characters are phenomenal. The graphics are amazing, and the world design is beautiful. That being said, I can understand how this game could be boring to some. Luckily, I didn't have that problem. However, there was one glaring weakness, and that was the combat gameplay. It was rough, slow and difficult. Nothing about firing a weapon felt smooth or satisfying, especially in the gun battles against Cliff Unger. I really just wanted to skip that part of the game. But overall, I really like Death Stranding, and I recommend it to anyone who has patience, likes a bit of challenge, and enjoys immersing themselves in a beautiful open world.… Expand

Not only it has a casting made of lots of actors and people that I always been a fan of, it also introduced me to a great piece of storytelling with an immersive world with characters you just can’t help but love. Easily has the best peaks I’ve ever seen. The soundtrack is so so so amazing and the visuals are too. Cliff’s reveal to Sam and Die-Hardman’s confession to Sam are the best scenes and acting I’ve seen. The only bad thing I see about it is that the replay value is not there. I would not play this again even if I got payed. Way too long and it felt repetitive at times, but it was 100% worth completing.     I didn't know if this game would be for me, but I was absolutely hooked as soon as I started playing. It took me about 70 hours on the playthrough and I enjoyed every minute of it. I recommend playing offline, driving a truck, and building some highways. What an experience and a wildly unique story.

    Death Stranding is not a game I could ever unequivocally recommend, and I’m sure many will be put off within the first few hours. Personally however I enjoyed the challenge of delivering packages to increasingly remote locations, and the excellent acting and soundtrack perfectly complimented the unique, interesting and sometimes downright bonkers plot. The ‘strand’, system in which players can cooperate to develop infrastructure such as roads and bridges, also adds an extra layer to the game.

    At the end of the day I think you just have to try it for yourself, I’m glad I did!    … Expand

    All those COD & Fortnite Players are funny, those kind of games aren't for you guys. Sorry.

    Edit: After finishing this game, watching some youtube videos in which you can see how many flaws the story has, it isn't that good to me anymore but still an amazing game, because it is unique. Not a 10, but 8-9.

    I am late to the party on this one but I loved this game. It is a walking simulator - if you like exploring and finding things out of yourself this is a great game. Throw in some Kojima madness and you have enough of a reason to keep playing.

Because as we heard more about the game play, it reminded me of things like a simulator game, I'll say it's not quite that, but I was still drawn to it, and couldn't stop playing.

    I was also on the "Hideo Kojima is overrated" wagon, I spent 90 hours on this game and has completely reversed, he understands the The gaming medium, and doesn't just want to make movies. He did something unique with it, his presentation is rough in some places, but it's very Kojima, and has it's charm, I really don't think it should change.

    Finally for the game, it's certainly not a perfect game, but it's game play loop being delivering packages, it honestly works quite well, the challenge is the environment, I must admit most characters only really started coming to life by the end of the game, but by then Cliff Unger, and Die-Hardman were suddenly my two favorite characters, where before that point they were barely noticeable.
    Deadman is also a fun character, cute you could say, definitely a bit of a comic relief, all the characters are likable though, there wasn't a single character I completely disliked, I will say Higgs was the most built up character that you learn almost nothing about, when it comes to motivations, or I just didn't feel it when the reveal came.

    TL;DR Death Stranding is a unique game that has a surprisingly good game play hook, despite how it looks, and a story that really comes to life by the end.    … Expand

The mechanics are something I haven't seen in any other game, and I feel that the risks attempted in this game need to be applauded for stepping outside the norm. The game is beautiful, but it could be much better if played on PC. There are a few tools I never really found a use for.

    After finishing the game it seems there is probably 20-30 more hours of content to complete, which also reveals more details for some of the main characters. I'd recommend at least getting a used copy and give it a chance. You need to have some patience with this title. It is not for someone that's used to Fortnite/Call of Duty. My girlfriend doesn't play video games about the Death Stranding book for her so she can at least experience the story and she absolutely loved it. I am looking forward to playing Death Stranding 2

    Better game than MGS5 fiasco. Weird and original. Bit annoying with walking and driving plus crazy physics. Every rock is huge obstacle. Top notch production, face animation, close ups... All great. It should be more bosses and less hud and menu info, it's a mess.

There's also too much information hidden away in emails and interviews that you need to read to understand important things like what even is the death stranding. However, that said the characters are pretty great. I really like deadman, heartman, fragile, mama... the whole bunch really. The performances are really excellent as well and I found sam's growing bond with bb very touching as well. Overall the story is a mixed bag.

    As for the gameplay, while it's not for everyone I love it. Traversing large stretches of difficult terrain is like a puzzle. Figuring out what equipment you'll need and how best to use it. What really makes the gameplay special though is shared world elements. This feature is really wonderful. As you deliver more packages and level up the waystations you boost the signal for the area you're in. Now that you've boosted the signal you suddenly find there are more generators, bridges, bikes and trucks. Now the way forward becomes easier. It's this unique cooperative style of gameplay in which you're being helped by lots of people all around the world.

    Also you can help others too. If I build a road for example then i'll get notifications telling me that people have travelled on it and they like it. It's fun seeing your hard work pay off. The game handles progression incredibly well. Levelling up waystations also unlocks new vehicles, weapons, backpack covers which are timefall resistant, upgraded walking skeletons and more.

    There are also a lot of cool and unique elements which add challenge. BTs which you have to sneak past which will try to drag you into the ground and rain which will damage everything you carry. Storms which can make it harder to find your way and enemy encampments which will attack you.

    Like I said this game isn't for everyone but it's really unique. It's a shame some people hated on it pretty much because it tried something different. So many people complain about repetitive ubisoft open world games or how sequels are so derivative and just play it safe. Death Stranding did not play it safe. It tried something different and that's not such a bad thing.    … Expand

You're thrown into a bizarre apocalyptic United States that is never too obtuse in its weirdness, but rather strange and beautiful enough to make the basic act of traversing from point A to point B an interesting and challenging task.

    It's core gameplay loop of delivering items in an attempt to reconnect the country is deeper than it may initially appear, and as you progress through the game more avenues of traversal are opened up, so you'll soon be doing much more than just walking. That said, even when you are just walking it's more engaging than it sounds, and the combination of gorgeous Iceland-inspired geology and sporadic Low Roar needle drops punctuate the experience.

    The story, worldbuilding and characters are top notch in Death Stranding. Despite some iffy dialogue, the narrative is enjoyable and bolstered by some great performances, in particular from Troy Baker and Mads Mikkelsen, who shine as Higgs and Cliff respectively. The cinematography in some cutscenes is frankly amazing too.

    I do have some gripes with the game. Sometimes the mechanics feel a little janky, especially when climbing or colliding with terrain. The combat and boss fights weren't as strong as they could've been, and the gunplay is just so-so. Death Stranding is quite a long title and it's core gameplay loop can get repetitive after a while - getting all facilities up to a 5 star connection is quite a grind, and one that I've not seen through. After the story concludes and the credits roll, continuing to rebuild America becomes less compelling.

    One little thing I wish was included in the game is a portable music player - the music featured in Death Stranding is excellent and I wish you could play it wherever you wanted, not just while resting in a private room. The sound design is spot on but having a music player may have benefited the lonelier stretches of gameplay.

    Still, I think this is a great game and one that is a refreshing deviation from the norm. It exists in its own space, and it's uniqueness makes it a game well worth trying. The social features are fantastic; knowing that your contributions to the game world make an impact on other player's journeys is rewarding in a way I've not experienced before. The game's message of unity permeates through the story and all facets of the gameplay.

    It's a very original, memorable title, unlike other AAA games on the market, and I'm glad I took the plunge and gave it a go. At the end of my playthrough, I can safely say that this is a game that I really enjoyed.    … Expand

This isn't Metal Gear Solid or like anything else you might've ever played. That's what makes it so unique and quite special. Now whether you can get on board with what Kojima is selling is another thing. As Sam Porter Bridges, the player's job is to deliver packages in a desolate apocalyptic land. So you travel from Point A to Point B throughout the entire 50 hour experience. Yes, it sounds boring and it will be for many players. But fans of experimental and artistic video games will probably like Death Stranding, if not downright love it. This wholly original creation is bizarre, goofy, slow-paced and highly-cinematic. The story is convoluted and the gameplay can get repetitive. But as you progress, new mechanics open up and the tale gets more involving. Visually, this is one of the most beautiful games ever. Is it a masterpiece? No. If fact, it won't be very entertaining for many gamers. But as an original, Death Stranding stands out from the rest of the crowd. If you like Japanese Anime, offbeat comic-books and science-fiction, then this is for you. I'd rate it with an 8.1 out of 10.… Expand

Typically I am too lazy to write reviews, but I am very disappointed with low rating here so would like to add my few cents.Complex story, enormous number of mechanics didn’t get me bored, great music, innovative multiplayer.     Edit: a lot of people complain here the game is repetitive! Nonsense. I can call any game repetitive, all the games repetitive: kill monster, kill monster, kill boss, repeat. But here you always get something new, tired to run, get mechanical legs, tired of them? here Is a motorcycle, then carriers, cars, ropes , eventually fast travel if you wish, sheets always new wearopons, tools. Also must to play online, then you are not alone. You can see what other people build wear kind of ways the find, fantastic game!

    Death Stranding isn't a game I would recommend to everyone, but it had its hooks in me and I found myself wanting to play it whenever I wasn't. I guess you could say I was addicted to the dopamine hits of delivery just like a MULE, but the then the story turned out to be a unique masterpiece.     It's a good game but be prepared to do a lot of deliveries. When I first started this game I would only have given it 3 stars but going back to it, I gave it another try and I found myself enjoying it, maybe it was just my mood at the time. Finally finished it but apart from being a little strange I still found it more of a slow-paced relaxing game.

    This game is NOT a walking simulator. It's a world builder. It just doesn't tell you that. The cargo isn't the objective, the objective is the realisation that your pain is shared with every players playing the game, and that each and every one makes the lives of other easier, whether you mean to or not.

    When you start connecting the world with ziplines, highways, repair stations, the game makes more and more sense. You change the way you build. You change your thinking. You start building in ways that makes you think "where would I place this such that it benefits people making this particular route?", you start seeing the game world in a different way "there's a gap there in the network, where players taking that route would not have a rest stop/zipline" and you go there and start making it.

    You still hate the game. But it's not longer the one you're playing    … Expand

    This game is a masterpiece. It does require to get into it, so patience is key. I see that a lot of bad reviewers haven’t even own the game and just spew lie about it. Production quality is top notch and it’s really groundbreaking!

    It's a diferent kind of game give it time and it will grow on you. Starts realy slow but it doesn't stop evolving and before you know it **** is on fire (in the good way)

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
