    This amazing slow burning storytelling work of art isn’t something that should be missed and instead stood upon a pedestal for breathing fresh air into a much needed, overly greedy economy that is “gaming”.     Все кто пишут что в игре нехуй делать либо не играли в нее, либо 2 часа стрима посмотрели.     Brilliant game, worth every penny. Atmosphere, lore, story everything is perfect. Definitely not for point and shoot fans.

    I can only fell sorry for Kojima. He made one of the best games ever. Those fools that gave it a low grade couldn't understand one bit cause they are used to Battlefield or CoD filled with fights and deaths or maybe they are just haters.
    This game is relaxing, has mistery and most important: a great story. A really new and unique experience.

    I may be biased because I love Kojimas catalogue of work and everything about his games. I think a lot of people were disappointed because they misunderstood Kojimas direction. This was never supposed to be an action packed shooter with huge adventuring spectacle and all the usual tropes of a AAA game. He didnt promise anything I believe we just hyped it up to what we wanted the game toI may be biased because I love Kojimas catalogue of work and everything about his games. I think a lot of people were disappointed because they misunderstood Kojimas direction. I love the way it feels, the story, the immersion, and the message. I definitely think this game will go down in history, and maybe it's not being appreciated in it's time. But I believe the intentions of Kojima were portrayed perfectly in this game while still being a game. He wants America to come together, to communicate properly with eachother. Hell I've avoided violence at all costs in this game because the consequences are devastating

    I love this game!
    Everyone who thinks that the game is boring is in a big mistake.
    Cargo delivery and the mechanics are super addictive. And Im a guy who left RDR2 because of the slow and boring gameplay. DS has very good story and very good presentation. Its 100% Kojima game.
    Just try it before you judge it!

Hell, so many things are unique here. I ask myself at times "what the hell am I playing" and I don't know the answer at times but I am well and truly addicted to it.

    The production is perfect, the pacing is exceptional and while there is frustration to be had it is minor. I don't want to get into the "boring gameplay" argument cause that is subjective, camping in CoD is one mans idea of fun gameplay for example but the goals and objectives set out here are fun, extremely fun and unique in fact. I spent 4 hours helping build a road I probably will never use again for main missions.

    10 Kojimas out of 10 Kojimas. It's now in my top 10 games ever.    … Expand

    Kojima was brave enough to make a different game from nowadays fast-food-gaming industry. And he made a game that whoever appreciates it could enjoy for a good long while not because of the hype.     I felt it was a lot like PS3 Gundam crossfire when it first came out, it had the lowerest rating because it didn't satisfy the younger audience who mostly only played Gundam in the Dynasty Warriors style and couldn't understand the original Gundam 0079's background. However, to a hardcore fan like myself we saw that game as one of the greatest Gundam game ever made, even GBO followed its trail, that says something about how the developer team valued the ideology of Gundam Crossfire and why so many players spending money on GBO.

    Death Stranding is certainly not for everyone, it's like the movie "Lost in Translation", I couldn't understand it when I was young, but now it's my all time favourite as I've learned and experienced more things in life.    … Expand

    Its a great game easily a 8/10. The story is pretty good and the acting by everyone is really good. The gameplay isn't what your expecting i wouldn't say its not fun cause it is fun but its a different type of fun, the gameplay is just deliverying packages plain and simple. Your a delivery man and they showed that in all the trailers so if you dont like that this game isn't for you.

    People who rate this a 0 are ignorant that the whole point of this game is about connecting people and forming bonds. It’s a thematic game with its roots buried deep in that concept and it’s a shame that Kojimas intended message of togetherness is being dismissed by people who just want the same mainstream gameplay of pointing and shooting at things. It’s insulting.

    Absolutely amazing game. Haters are always gonna hate though. Negative backlash against this game is ridiculous. 90% of them never even played the game most likely. Definitely game of the year contender !

    Death Stranding is a fun and interesting game with a captivating story and strangely fun gameplay. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do now. Death Stranding kinda reminds me of Marmite you either love it or hate it.

    Awesome game, got platinum trophy. Great gameplay, genius players interactions system. Beautiful graphics, animations and world overall. mind blowing story, fantastic music, varied characters. overall well composed masterpiece. Whoever calls it a "walking sim" obviously didn't play the game and did not engage. Good job Kojima! (i'm not a fan boy)

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I bought Death Stranding cold. I've never played Metal Gear Solid, no idea about who the designer is. I bought it becuz I'd heard it was a delivery game. A bleak delivery game. My favorite games are Stardew Valley and Skyrim in that order. Never in my life have I stood up from my couch and CLAPPED at a title screen. I did that with Death Stranding. I think my mouth has been literally open like a dumb fish mouth for 80% of my game play. I was not prepared. For the beauty. The detailing. The sheer emotional insanity of having a protagonist in a video game actively avoiding eye contact with me while we sit on our respective sitting things. For the lil astronaut toy dangling off of BB. Am I running around delivering pkgs and falling on my ass every 2 seconds? Yup. The feeling of fierce protection I have for both the main character and his lil babby frend while trying to complete a task is... I've never experienced anything like it. I apologize endlessly to them both. Out loud. So. I like games with cute animals and planting turnips, or vast open worlds where I can shoot a bandit or 2 with my bow and arrow. Death Stranding has clawed it's way into my top 3 games of all time, I'm on Chapter 2. It's the most dream like immersive game I have every seen, I didnt think anything like it could ever be created. It's just something about the details man. The devil is all up in them. I play slow, I play steady and that's with every game. I dont wanna miss anything. Death Stranding rewards my type of gameplay. It pays attention to how much I want to pay attention. I havent seen this before., an entire dream world fleshed out so fully. Hats off to the game designer, all the money he had thrown at him to create this game and for dropping it amidst so much chaotic reception.… Expand

Losing packages can be frustrating but it's part of the fun of the game (think Eve Online style despair feeling of losing stuff you've collected). I've been enjoying the game so far and love the motion capture in the cut scenes (there are many, again this is a Kojima game). There is combat but it's spread out and can be frustrating because your goal is usually to deliver a bunch of cargo, not be an action hero fighter. There are easy ways around combat once you learn a handful of simple strategies (Sam is not a great fist fighter). Terminal entries and emails have been interesting and fill in some of the lore but won't be attractive for gamers who hate reading. The combination of the soundtrack and overall aesthetic of the world, environments and characters has kept me hooked and continuing to build the chiral network. I've seen a few of my friend's structures in my game and it's fun to see where they've been and use items they've left as a free shortcut. It's a slow paced game and is almost more like a cinema experience early on. While this definitely isn't a game for everyone, I have no idea why some are rating it a 0 as if they're surprised about what's in it, to me it was basically what I expected it to be.     That being said i will say this may go down as the best game i have ever played. It slow, methodical and extremely well written. You should take this game at face at face value.     It has been a while I haven't played a revolutionary game and I have to admit this game is the best in this genre. You either love or hate the game; there is nowhere in between. The characters each have an amazing story and the finishing episodes are extraordinary breathtaking.

At its core, i.e. what you end up doing for most of the game, this is a hiking logistics simulator. You plan your itinerary and select your load out from dozens of items depending on your choices - are you likely to run into cargo thieves on the way? Or invisible ghosts? will you be crossingHad my doubts going into it but as it turns out this is a genuinely innovative and addicting game. At its core, i.e. what you end up doing for most of the game, this is a hiking logistics simulator. You plan your itinerary and select your load out from dozens of items depending on your choices - are you likely to run into cargo thieves on the way? Or invisible ghosts? will you be crossing rivers? rappelling down cliffs? will there be snow? Once the planning phase over you set out on your journey, constantly making moment to moment decisions and adjustments, dealing with unplanned events as they happen. The game is absolutely gorgeous and runs extremely well, the world feels real whether you're in snowy mountains, ruined cities or toxic canyons. There's also stealth, combat, vehicles, and an interesting online community component where players contribute to build structures that help you navigate the harsh environment faster. And of course there is the crazy setting and story you've seen in the trailers. Playing leisurely It took me 65 hours to beat the game. Let the idiot children throw their little tantrum and downvote a game they haven't played and experience something special.… Expand

    I didnt even like the Metal Gear games. But i am SO HAPPY that i gave death stranding a try. One of the best experiences ive had the pleasue to play. The highlight is definately its overwhelmingly interesting world! Biggest downside is the gameplay loop might not work for some players with zero patience.

    A beautiful game with a great story. Obviously a slower pace game that will be hated by some. But me, as really a non picky gamer, I'm ok with this. For me it's an enjoyable experience with fun combat and really eerie spots when trying to sneak around BTs.

    I played 20+ hours and i really enjoy it till now, it's refreshing, something different.
    It can be boring to walk the whole time but you know that's the only thing that i didn't enjoy super much.

    I didn’t like first half of the game but second half of this game was great. Great story and graphs. Who votes 0 (they probably didn’t even play the game) if you have this game just continue for the story you’ll love that game in my opinion.

    Okay, death stranding is addicting. I came in this as a hardcore skeptic. Never played the Metal Gear series. I decided to buy it at full price because I love the atmosphere and setting alone. It's hard to explain, but it feels fantastic setting up a ladder for somebody, or picking up lost cargo, it feels like we're all in this together. Even though you're alone. And seeing the stats afterOkay, death stranding is addicting. I came in this as a hardcore skeptic. Never played the Metal Gear series. The cut scenes are AMAZING and inspiring also. I heard critics call this a "walking simulator" and they couldn't be more wrong. Right before this game, I was running around with an SMG in the new Call of Duty.... And I'm having way more fun in this game… Expand

    My type of game. Gripping World and narrative, undenyingly beautiful, truly original, relaxing and horrifying at regular intervals... about 15-20 hours in and going to take my sweet time. I think we are going to look back at this title in 10 years and only then realise how truly special this actually is. Also love the soundtrack... PS The metal gear games were NOT my cup of tea at all,My type of game.     It's like an interactive completely original Sci fi epic. I don't play games often and have fou d games like RDR2 boring due to the constant travelling, but this game is great. The traversing is actually interesting, you have to be strategic.

    Maravilloso juego, no es para todo tipo de público ya que se trata de un género en invención muchos lo pueden encontrar aburrido ya que no hay disparos ni acción, en lo personal me encantó, los paisajes, la música, la historia, las mecánicas y demás son fascinantes, se sale de la monotonía.

This game is less about the actual gameplay and more about the story and the way you impact it, I for myself found the game to be quite fun, yes it can get repetitive and it would definitely take a while for me to play through it a second time. Also I wouldn't be motivated to do the side quests because in the end, yes, you are mostly delivering stuff, but walking around the world with BTs and MULEs at every corner, connecting with people all over the world as well as with the characters in the game is really a special experience and I would recommend everyone to try this game, it might not be for everyone, but there is deeper meaning behind everything in the game and the fact that Kojima and his team put so much thought and love into this game should be appreciated. It's definitely a GOTY candidate for me. If you can't handle a good story or unique gameplay and expected something that isn't down to earth and Kojima-style game then you haven't paid attention. It really starts getting more intense the more you get on with it and the once rather annoying game mechanics get eased a lot by a lot of gadgets you obtain during the story. If you take a look at these negative reviews, most of them seem to have no idea what this game is all about, don't listen to them, if you think this game looks intriguing try it out, I found the first few hours a bit slow but I got hooked right after and played 4-5 days straight until I got to the end. Think about what Kojima wanted to tell us with these parallels to our own fractured society and the metaphors within the game and you might find yourself enjoying the game as much as I did… Expand

    This is a good game... This is a different game to what you are probably used to but this is a good game. There's no constant fighting enemies. You battle, instead, the environment. The rocky mountains and deep waters. You fight the rain and the occasional BT and mule pack. You fight time and you fight your own concentration.     Excellent game, story and all. People saying its a walking sim/postal sim are not that bright and game isnt for anyone. You play as a "postman" in almost every other game and no one bats the eye.

    It's so unlike any other game I've played, hints of metal gear solid, but yet totally different. Very artistic, so much deeper meaning in this game. I can truly say I've never thought I'd love delivering packages in a game, but its oddly satisfying. The story is amazing and unique, piques you curiosity and keeps getting better the more you progress. А музыка делает все ещё лучше. Многие ругают игру из-за длинного геймплея, но (ничего не имею против рокстар) тут все на много интереснее чем рдр2. The core gameplay mechanic of delivery rarely felt stale to me, but after completing this game, I felt the urge to go out and continue deliveries and setting up more structures to help other players. The theme of connections played out well, even if it felt hamfisted at times. Graphics, gameplay, and implementation are all 10/10 for me. Give it a shot.… Expand

    I've always found Kojima led games hit or miss, for example I wasn't big into MGSV, but Death Stranding is an interesting take, it's a slow burn so if your more into short games then this ain't for you

    Game is like a fresh breath in age of tolerance, social network mania and games that are done by same template over and over. I like to feel NEW experience. And this game at least introduce new mechanic of social co-working. I wonder how starting location will look like when I get back after finishing the game...

    No voy a hablar de los gráficos, ni de la historia, pues creo que no necesita presentación    He leído gente que ha valorado el juego con un 0 y ha dicho que esperará a que cueste 5 o 10 euros para comprarlo y jugarlo. ¿cómo se puede valorar un juego tan rotundamente sin ni siquiera tenerlo? ¿qué problema tiene la gente con su vida que necesita hundir aquello que no entiende o no comparte?

    No voy a hablar de los gráficos, ni de la historia, pues creo que no necesita presentación y creo que estaréis conmigo que te atrapará desde el principio, sino del gameplay.

    En las pocas horas que llevo de juego puedo que Death Stranding es un juego acerca del camino. Acerca de cada paso que das. Puedes pensar que quizá "no pasa nada" porque en juegos de mundo abierto lo normal es que hagas muchas cosas, muchas tareas y pegues muchos disparos, pero seamos realistas: lo normal es no dejar de darle a la x o al R2 dependiendo del vehículo, llegar a un destino, disparar, y volver a darle a la X o R2 de vuelta. Si, pueden pasar muchas cosas pero la acción del jugador, el uso del cerebro se suele reducir a esto. En Death Stranding algo que antes resultaba tan simple como cruzar un río, subir una colina o andar por piedras exige pensar. Exige ser cuidadoso. Exige estar al tanto y no poner el cerebro en piloto automático.

    Los enfrentamientos con el enemigo no los vas a resolver tampoco simplemente disparando a lo loco. Bajar de una montaña con carga hasta arriba tampoco. Elegir los encargos tampoco. Ayudar a otros jugadores se convierte en una motivación. Empezar un nuevo encargo es tener la incertidumbre de no saber qué te vas a encontrar, e ir bien equipado para hacer frente a los enemigos es menos importante que saber por donde ir.

    Pero Death Stranding también sabe sacarte de ese momento de tensión regalándote momentos mágicos, donde de repente el camino se vuelve llano, sale el sol, y empieza una música maravillosa. Una vez más, Death Stranding es acerca del camino, tanto para los momentos tensos como los momentos de paz.

    Sinceramente, le he otorgado un 10 sin terminarlo porque me veo en la obligación de equilibrar la balanza ante tanta persona que ha venido a destruir un acercamiento diferente a los videojuegos. Un visión más propia de un artista que de un hombre de negocios. Death Stranding no es para todo el mundo, pero eso no quiere decir que no sea un juego increíble: independientemente de que te guste o no tanto, Death Stranding es el recordatorio de que los videojuegos son arte, son visiones de creadores inquietos, el trabajo de personas que aman lo que hacen, y por eso, con tanta IP repetida y reciclada, DLCs y Pay to win, es algo que merece la pena aplaudir.    … Expand

It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it.     This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
