Best fighting game back again. There is no huge enchancement, but if you not playing DOA5U or playing this fighting game first time, this is best choice. Last Round is for new players, keep that in mind.

#1 fighting game when it comes to martial arts. Visually impressive, loaded with content and running at 60 frames per second which just makes the fighting a lot more smoother and moves easier to pull off. I Love this game to death always have ever since doa2u. if you hadn't already bought it this is definitely a fighter to own.

Truly a beautiful game and one of the best fighters I have played in a long time! Please don't come into DOA 5: Last Round expecting a deep story, this is a fighter, and a damn good one. Graphics are beautiful and work flawlessly on the PS4. For the price you honestly can't go wrong! Pick this up you won't regret it!

Since I had DOA 5 Ultimate, the game data transfer from PS3 to PS4 was like this: Ultimate was automatically updated to Last Round on the PS3, and I had to press the square button in the options menu to transfer the save data to the cloud. On the PS4, the game prompted me to read the information from the net, worked like a charm, I think not all DLC costumes that I purchased were transferred over, but I just might have to wait a while.

The game currently has some obvious bugs so it freezes on occasion, it's not happening within the fights, but in between, so it has not been a real issue. If you know DOA, it's a very accessible fighter with a million of game modes, and counters and holds are a very important component of the fights. It's also neat how you can use the environments to get you an advantage over your opponent (punch them into danger zones etc.). One aspect I have always liked about DOA is that Tag Team battle and Single battle are equally handled in the game, whereas most other games clearly favor one mode over the other. Balance in general is pretty good in DOA. Last Round adds the previously DLC fighters Marie Rose and Phase-5 and Nyotengu and also Honoka and Raidou to an already quite large roster which also includes 4 Virtua Fighter characters. This gives the player a large selection of different styles to choose from.

There are also numerous options for online fighting, I like the throwdown option, which allows you to interrupt while you play in single mode, fight an available online opponent and continue where you left off after the online battle. Of course you have the typical online options (Lobby match, ranked, etc.) available as well. So far the online fighting experience has been very good without noticeable lag, quite good for a release day, I'd say.

Is the update worth it ? Well besides the expansion of the roster and visual updates and some tweaks, the changes are not quite so apparent, but it will be the only DOA game on the PS4 for a while, so I'd say yes, if you like to do your 3D fighting on your current-gen machine. If you like DOA, get it, if you're not sure, get the Core Fighters edition for free and see if it is for you.

I've played DoA since the original version, and albeit that I also love MK series and will always love SF2 games, DoA I find the most strategic and hardest to master. It's a great game to play against someone that is going to button-bash, as you can not only block and counter, but do it in such a way that anyone else watching knows you're laughing at his button bashing technique.

A new gen version of a classic. The levels are great, characters are awesome and it plays very smoothly. There's nothing to dislike here at all ... regardless of me being confused as to how they're selling this!

gameplay-wise, this is the best fighting engine DOA have so far. the throw-hold-punch (rock-paper-scissor) system got even better since the last main title. visuals and frame counts are good, nothing wrong with them. rosters? if i'm not mistaken, this game have the most characters available in its series history.

yes, this game have scantily clad women with marvelous physics mechanics, and sjw are making a huge fuss about it. probably u don't want to play it in front of ur mom, wife, daughter, or priest. but who plays mortal kombat in front of them?? or lollipop chainsaw?? or oneechanbara?? also if u're concern about kids, that's what ratings are for.

i really want to give it a 10, but there's still some annoyance here and there that robbed the perfection out from this game.
the story mode are okay for a fighting game -u can tell that they tried, hahaha. there's a bunch of other modes like arcade, survival, versus, everything u could ask from a standard fighting game -and every modes are well executed. training mode is superb. didn't really delve into it, but my online experience are pretty okay too. the DLCs could be annoying at times, it's kinda degrading this solid fighting game, but whatever floats team ninja's boat i guess.

CONCLUSION: apart from the contents that's might not for everyone, it doesn't change the fact that the game itself is good.

FINAL VERDICT: if u skipped DOA 5 Ultimate or just want to add a 3D fighting game for your PS4 library, u should absolutely get this.
if u have the previous game and hate it, or an sjw, just get as far as possible. go play some educational games or brain age or something. go to shrink if u get offended by brain age.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is an excellent ending point for this chapter of the series. It takes all of the groundwork laid in DoA5 and polishes it off in the best way possible. Armed with an excellent roster of characters and a ton of modes, this is a great introduction to 3D fighting on the new generation of fighters. Just be prepared to be smothered with DLC options.
