Dead or Alive 5 Last Round

I’m blown away by how well thought out the base design in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is an excellent ending point for this chapter of the series. It takes all of the groundwork laid in DoA5 and polishes it off in the best way possible. Armed with an excellent roster of characters and a ton of modes, this is a great introduction to 3D fighting on the new generation of fighters. Just be prepared to be smothered with DLC options.

Last Round is the absolute best version of Dead or Alive 5 to own, with a caveat. The odd pricing model hurts it, as does the overabundance of DLC, but at its core, has the smoothest gameplay of anything out there now and delivers the goods online more often than not.

Overall, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is the definitive version of a last gen game. Visually, it still looks great; however, it's still based on a last gen game. A new DoA running on current gen consoles with higher resolution textures can't come too soon, but for now, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is satisfactory.

Dead or Alive Last Round is still a great fighter but is slowly starting to show its age, even with the overtly sexualised anime inspired characters.

If you own the original game then there's not much here for you. But if you haven't and you are looking for the best 3D fighter for your shiny, new PS4, you can't go wrong with the Last Round edition of DOA5.

Last Round is a good re-release of the original experience on the PS4. It manages to keep the trademark low barrier of entry and complexity, but it still offers plenty of depth for fighting game fans. Even if it advertises its DLC a lot, and the titillating physics aren't to everyone's taste, you can have a lot of fun with the new title.

DoA 5 Last Round is the right game at the right time, considering how much fans of the genre have been waiting for a good beat-em up on their new console. The reasonably low price and the great amount of content definitely help.

A great fighting game that's better than ever. If you already own it, there aren't too many reasons for the upgrade, but if you don't, it's the best way to enjoy it.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is a good chance for the fans to access all of the content of this entry in the franchise. However, and because of the questionable sexualization of the saga, that has long ago exceeded acceptable limits. You can make a good fighting game and get customers attention without the objectification of women.
