Dec 12, 2016Game has several great features and the overall gameplay has not changed much since last, the story is mildly interesting, and the travel system is great which allows you to teleport out and in of dungeons. However, the game is riddled with bugs, which makes the game crash several times. Even had it crash on me at the final boss battle.

May 30, 2019I got so bored while playing Darksiders II that I kind of just stopped playing and never started again.

Sep 12, 2021If you're going to waste the player's time with vast open spaces with nothing to see and repeating cutscenes with nothing to hear you'd want to make sure it's not a glitch that is keeping you from progressing. The camera is broken and holding the lock-on trigger is ridiculous. How does a game this bloated with junk feel so empty? Puzzles are the only positive but they're too few and far between.

Oct 7, 2022This game took the RPG element and boosted it compared to Darksiders and that brought me down. Weapons and armor now had a level and if I remember correctly you had to be the correct level to use it. The gameplay got stale a lot quicker for me with this aspect at around 45% into the game.

Feb 5, 2016This is very nearly the exact same single-player excursion from last-gen consoles. There is no local or online co-op. There's no traditional multiplayer. There are no update-exclusive features. It's simply a mildly prettier, equally flawed action title with a few pieces of DLC adding more of the same to an already samey package.

Jan 29, 2016A heated dish, like all remastered games are, with all its interesting condiments now displeasing instead of exciting the patron, but with its main part still being juicy and tasty. A game with a core able to attract all fans of the action-adventure genre, but with many technical flaws. Is such a remaster truly an improvement upon the image of the franchise or beneficial to those who have not yet… tasted it? It is up to you to decide.

CD-ActionJan 12, 2016The Deathinitive Edition improves very little, but Darksiders II is still a fantastic game definitely worth checking out if you haven’t done so 3 years ago. [13/2015, p.59]
