    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I got it refunded, and took the step with Stadia. So far its been a blast, its so much more enjoyable that it was on the ps4pro. Aslong as you have 50/50internet. I wish metacritic woukd let me ad a rating on cyberpunk 2077 for stadia aswel. It would be a sollid 8/10, the game still needs a polish… Expand

    This game is unplayable. It crashes every time I try to talk to Jackie when he’s eating noodles. Not to mention the graphics are horrendous and nothing renders correctly in the city. There is no excuse since we’ve had beautiful games like red dead 2. It’s a scam

    The game has little to no action. First 3 hours are boring and full of very long conversations (probably because we already saw it all becasue CDPR spoiled their own game).     Life paths take 10 minutes to finish. Nomad path contains no nomads. Just a 5min talk to a mechanic. Then you meet up with Jackie and drive to NC.

    This is sad, I would've rather CD Projekt Red to say "CyberPunk 2077 will not come to Xbox One and PS4." This game it's noticeable that is design for next gen consoles (Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5) and high end PCs because I highly doubt this game can run perfectly on a $500 prebuilt PC. Why would I rather CD Projekt Red to just cancel CyberPunk 2077 for current gen consoles? BecauseThis is sad, I would've rather CD Projekt Red to say "CyberPunk 2077 will not come to Xbox One and PS4." If someone from the future would've told me that Cyberpunk 2077 was going to have worst performance than GTA V, I would've just say "LMAO you're crazy." Sadly that person from the future was correct, THIS GAME RUNS WORST THAN GTA V. Cyberpunk 2077 is not even a constant 30fps experience on the Xbox One S this game reaches the low 14 FPS on some action scenes in the game, and even sometimes the resolution goes down to 720p . CD Projekt Red can't give the excuse that the Xbox One | S | X | is not capable of running at a constant 1080p 30fps, for example Red Dead Redemption 2 runs at a constant 1080p 30FPS, so the console can run decently looking games but CD Projekt Red underestimated the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with disgusting performances, it seems like the game is running on a Nintendo Switch. i don't recommend this game at the moment, if they decide to make an update and make it look like Red Dead Redemption 2 or even the Last of Us 2 I would change my mind and recommend but this game is not good for current gen consoles if you have a next gen console or a high end PC this game is great and runs well and I would recommend on newer and powerful hardware but for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 they could've handle it better, for the game to be fun and playable just like Spider-Man 2018, RDR 2, TLOU 2. And story is a bit lackluster but that's not a big issue because multiplayer is coming soon. In conclusion this game was not ready for Xbox One and Playstation 4 an it should've gotten delayed once more.… Expand

    The game is a mess. At about 8 hours I ran into a glitch that makes the enemy turrets invincible but the helicopter wouldn't land until you destroy them. It's a dead end, I can't continue the game. I read online that it happens to many other people. Maybe one day the developers will patch it. I'm shocked that I paid full price for a faulty product that I cannot even continue playing. IfThe game is a mess. No things to do in the city besides    The game is clearly unfinished, and underperforms even more for console players like me. It should be delayed for at least one year more. I couldn't imagine how it was in the original release date back in April! First, let's start with what doesn't depends on last gen hardware:
    A TON of bugs. No traffic AI at all. No Police/enemy AI. Constant crashes. No things to do in the city besides the quests. Quests that bugs and requires restarting the game to continue. Nothing interactive in the world. Configurations that are lost everytime you load the game. NPCs and ambient textures that don't load. Bad and unresponsive driving physics. Unresponsive and lifeless NPCs. Poorly implemented and inconstant lights and shadows. When dialing the Radio, it constantly freezes the game for a moment. Slow and unpolished menus. Bad implemented audio, like for example: when entering/exiting a car, the radio sounds are at 1 or 0, no realistic transition of sound.
    Cars that pop up glitching with the floor, other cars or NPCs. NPCs that spawn in the middle of the road, frozen, or going through the ambient/cars. A lot of other stuff, that others are posting everywhere and I can't remember right now.

    Now lets talk about graphics. I know that in a base PS4, it would be realistic to assume that graphics should not be like new gen, but man, its awful:
    Poor, blurry and glitchy textures. Blurry textures on buildings on very close fow. Panoramic views that relies on fog to not show long shots, and even then some surfaces bugs.
    And blaming the consoles is simply laziness.
    This is the same hardware that GTA V, Red Dead 2, Death Stranding, Last of Us 2, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima and other open world games were competent. Even Fallout 4 and Mafia 3 looks better, by a long shot.

    I will not refund, expecting that in a year or two, the game that was marketed as revolutionary arrives. But right now, this game is my biggest disapointment in games. I do not recommend buying at the moment.

    CD Projekt have failed to deliver the goods and sadly I’m going to have to shelf this game, until it gets improved, as I dont want to sour the experience.     This game is just a janky The OuterWorlds. Gunplay is sloppy with enemies acting like bullet sponges. Weapons have no kick to them, melee plays like Kingdom Come Deliverence, weapons dont feel like they connect with enemies. Obviously loads of technical issues as well.

In other words, its a **** show. streets are empty. And by empty I mean deserted. Street lamps break when barely touched. You can't jump out of your car, it stop automatically. Oh and did I mention the fps? What a joke! i feel bad for original ps4 owners as well as original xbox one owners. I just can't believe sony and microsoft approuved this game to be release on the consoles that were meant to be release on.
    Bugs and glitches aren't the only problem I encountered.
    The gameplay is so bad, enemies require an entire loaded pistol in order to be killed.
    Driving is horrible, car physics are probably non-existent.
    The animation on npc's face are so clunky. Everytime i got out of my car all i see are pixelated humanoids.
    7 years. 7 f***ing years and for what?
    A 100+Gb game that require additional updates to run properly at 30 pfs.
    This 0/10 is not a troll. I'm a customer who willingly paid 80$+ CAD (Canadian dollar) on the worse first person open world game.    … Expand

    What a pure dissapointment. This game needed 10 more years to be what they promised and advertised. The only customization left is ur character but u can’t see that because they removed third person cutscenes. In the opening they say u can live the rich live, yet u will always keep living in the slums because they removed appartments. So much got cut...this game isn’t worth 1% of the hype.

    I don't believe that our "beloved" Cdpr launched this game for the ps4...and the ceo claimed that it "runs surprising good on the current gen consoles ..I won't talk about the glitches and bugs..ok maybe these will be fixed some time in the future but this game is unplayable..but those graphics and the rendering is just funny that ps2 environment is all over again

    Unplayable mess. Graphics are like a ps2 game. Very bad Performance, frame drops, blurry Vision, long loading Texturen and a Lot of crashes. Played it for 4 hours and had 4 crashes. Worst decision to Trust CD project RED and to buy the 200 Euro CE. Dont buy it for current gen. Its just a mess

    The game is so overrated. It definitely doesn’t deserve the hype nor the wait. It’s so buggy, the quality is very low and not a smooth ride. Not to mention the awful storytelling and sequences. Definitely don’t recommend.

The technical issues are constant, numerous and ruin any immersion the game almost provides. The graphics are extremely lack-luster.

    Night City, despite being well designed on a large scale, feels completely void of any genuine interactivity - it is too big and too dense for there to be so little to do in it, besides driving to new jobs and occasionally stopping to fight random gang encounters.

    For what was marketed as a deep and complex RPG, it fails on multiple levels. Character customisation is limited and I have seen better from games that barely even mention it in their marketing material. The gear, to be fair, has made me laugh. If you focus on stats and don't take your character too seriously, you can end up looking absolutely ridiculous and it's quite fun.

    The gunplay and combat as a whole is almost average. Just completely forgettable and full of jank - yet somehow still the most enjoyable part of the game - perhaps only because of the badass music that kicks in.

    Ultimately, technical and graphical issues aside, it feels like a generic action-adventure looter-shooter game from a small studio from 2015, and nowhere near delivers on the hype or on the game that was promised and shown in the multiple Night City Wires and other advertising material.

    There's character buried somewhere in this game, and a potential to be a fantastic experience, however this potential will not be achieved through patches alone. This will be come only from a complete overhaul - a 'No Man's Sky' - which it seems unlikely we will ever receive. Worst gaming disappointment of all time.

    Shame on CDPR, shame on them for their lies, shame on them for their false advertising, and shame on them for allowing 8 million people to preorder a game that is months and months from being finished.    … Expand

Cut scenes play without props like guns or cars, so you end up shooting at people with an empty hand, which looks really bad. If you drive around, drive slowly because the area loads much slower than the cars. Cut scenes play without props like guns or cars, so you end up shooting at people with an empty hand, which looks really bad. If you drive around, drive slowly because the area loads much slower than the cars. There are points when I'm racing around and things just pop up and I hit them. I'm writing this as of version 1.04 but even with this recent patch the pop in and bugs are still present. NPCs look like PS2 era models sometimes, and the holograms are static and rigid, which is terribly ugly. Parts of my HUD display the wrong buttons, and have stayed that way since a certain mission. When you make calls, NPCs that aren't even related to the call overlap with the person you're talking to, and makes them nearly impossible to see. Romance options are extremely limited, and despite **** and sex very present in the setting, theres basically nothing you can interact with. I know its not a porn game, but I was definitely expecting more from at least who I'd be able to romance. It's has its moments and the writing is gambling, but the performance and bugs ruin all of that. I'm playing on a PS4 pro, so I can only imagine how bad it is for the base console players. It feels like the advertisement was SEVERELY manipulated for this game, which breaks my heart. If they took the time to add more features later with the DLC they've planned, it might make it feel less like a let down, but with that and the MASSIVE number of crashes and performance issues, I'm left giving this a score I had nightmares about.… Expand

    Ce jeu est une honte. Survendu pendant des années pour un résultat final lamentable. On parle de nous (la presse) , consoleux comme les sacrifiés.Non seulement Sony refuse de nous rembourser après nous avoir enflé. Mais en plus, on nous invite presque à investir dans une console Next Gen à demi mot pour avoir un jeu qui tourne de manière correct.

    But you guys let this out on older consoles knowing it was this bad?? Look at games like Detroit or Red Dead 2. The Witcher 3 even.     Story is great. However, the game looks horrible. Blurry graphics and low frame rates are extremely distracting. Gun fights are choppy and unfulfilling. A piece of garbage masterpiece best describes it. Can I get a refund? This game has been a bigger let down than the No Man’s Sky debacle. Now I’m going to have a lame merry Xmas season. Thanks a lot CD Project Red!

Bad frame rates horrendous graphics and I can't change the radio without the car stopping completely. The only.good thing is that night city follows covid restrictions since there is nobody on the streets. Beautiful!! An excellent con game by the one og developerDisgustingly bad.     Getting really sick of buying unfinished games from companies and essentially paying money to be a game tester. Releasing the game in this state is disrespectful to gamers, I uninstalled today and I will be getting a refund, I may buy it again in the future when it is on sale - because this game is not worth the $109.95 AUD I paid

This is how your game looks on a PS4 pro, after 8 years in development and to all the people saying "this is expected too look and play like that on a 7 year old hardware" or "this is a next gen game", NO this is not what's expected. People expect an optimized game on the platforms it is sold on. The game is literally a PS4 game, there’s no PS5 version and looks just as bad on the PS5 btw. Literally it looks like a 240p upscale, a PS2 game, inexcusable, it's like the Switch version of the real game.

    No one is expecting a solid stable 60fps all the time, or high res textures or 100 npcs on screen. They just want a game that looks and plays decent. CDPR couldn't even deliver that after almost 8 years of development and so many delays. There's plenty of demanding open world games out there that run fine on ps4 and look and play great (RDR2, TLOU2, GoW, Ghost of Tsushima etc.).
    I've waited 7 years for this game, preordered it a year ago, got it on the 10th and I went from hype and excitement to utter disappointment in exactly 5 minutes.

    CDPR released an unfinished, unoptimized game and they should be called out on it.

    I am offended, enraged and disappointed and I can't even return it because of stupid policy. I paid the same price as the PC users if not higher and I am left here with my dick in my hand.    … Expand

    At least 2020 is consistent in its sadness and disappointment. I uninstalled and am playing Witcher 3 because the 7year old spiritual ancestor of Cyberpunk at least has great graphics.

    Это просто поражение. у них был вагон времени все исправить. Если верить их словам, то они активно работали над игрой с 2011-2012 года.

All would be fine, but the creative director himself said that they focus on pastgen (ps4 and xone) and to all the rumors they said that everything works well.     It’s awful. At it’s current state I don’t believe it’s a finished game. 1 game crash every 30 minutes and plus the graphic is the worst I have seen on ps4. I have a ps5 and a 8k tv that supports 4k 120fps. This games definitely looks garbage to me.

    I have put in around 10-12 hours of my time into this game so far. Unfortunately, I’ve only been able to do 1.5 hours of the actual main storyline. I cannot move further in the main story line due to a bug in the mission “The Pickup”. I was hoping the latest 1.04 patch would fix this bug and all the other bugs. It did not.     Unbelievably bad graphics. Regular crashes. It just doesn't work on PS4. it should have never been released on older generation consoles. RDR2 was running great on PS4 Slim and had amazing graphics. Cyberpunk doesn't even come close to that.

    I'm dissapointed that a game that took so much time to develop has this many technical issues on this version, if the game wasn't ready to be released CDPR should had waited and improved the PS4 version or just not release it into the system. As for the story I like it but is difficult to love it when you are having to reload the game because of bugs.

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
