    I can't believe that CD project Red went out of their way to cover up how bad this game was on base next-gen consoles. Obviously, in order to sell more games before people realized how unfinished it was. I really hope this game doesn't sell well to teach other companies not to do the same thing. Shame on you CDPR!

    Game is working in 720p, 15 FPS. Screen is blury and covered in grain even when you turn off this option. That game is a joke even low budget games from ps3 era look better than this. Management made fun from us all and sold a game that should never be available for old gens if it works so bad. Just before the premiere I saw an interview with art director which was bragging about how wellGame is working in 720p, 15 FPS.     Playing on PS4 Slim and haven't had any graphical glitches or really any at all, the game just crashes sometimes but I'm having loads of fun playing it. The story is pretty good so far even if there are some places where you can tell there was cut content, I'm really enjoying the side missions with various characters.

    The game is buggy and has plenty of glitches but on the ps4 pro it is definitely playable. I would want to give it a lower score but the story and gameplay makes up for it and I just can't put it down. One note though after installing an ssd into my console it was a big improvement on playability, even the load times are withing 25 seconds after the install.

    Full of bugs, crashes, etc playing it on ps5 but also have tried it on ps4 in ps5 is a little more playable but still this game shouldnt have dropped like this on consoled is disrispectful

    720p 15-20 frames is actually unplayable. The jitter is sickening. Load times are ridiculous. LOD pop-in and texture filtering is horrendous.

    I don’t know what CDPR were smoking when they thought to deceive customers by hiding the abysmal condition of the PS4 version of Cyberpunk. It feels like there should be a decent game in there somewhere, but I can’t find it beneath the countless bugs, performance issues and incessant crashing.

    Amazing adventure with great story, characters and decisions. Few bigger bugs during ~50h gameplay cannot destroy game experience. But ofcourse if you are focused on graphics, you should check this game on ps5 or PC, where it looks so much better then ps4. Or if you expect new gta - this game is focused on different aspects, this is rpg and you can be disappointed.

    I have not had any game breaking issues. The game has crashed 5 times in about 30 hours of play, from which I was able to load a manual or auto save and be playing again in 5 minutes. A couple characters have hung up on walls/stairs. The game feels like it runs about 25-30 FPS. While I don't like bugs, all of those issues have been seen on EVERY open world game I have seen released in the last 8 years. I suspect if someone was playing on a 4K TV the performance would be worse.
    What this boils down to is if you are playing with a PS4 Pro you probably have nothing to fear, but if you are playing with a base PS4 or a slim then hold off for 6 months while they optimize the engine better.
    FWIW - I have seen about 5 updates/patches already in the first 8 days since launch, so they are actively working to improve the game.    … Expand

    It's not about if YOU like/enjoy the game. It's about CDPR promising one game, then taking pre-orders and delivering a different game. This game is missing so many promised features it's unrecognisable. Almost no one cares about the bugs, but we really should! Are your standards really that low? Wouldn't you be more happy if the Developer would actually test and release the game when it'sIt's not about if YOU like/enjoy the game. Wouldn't you be more happy if the Developer would actually test and release the game when it's ready and not just because it's Golden Hour of the year to get most money? Then scramble to fix it later? They lied to Sony and Microsoft about the state of the game on the current gen consoles. It's simply fraud. If you like the game as it is, - great! Please, just take a step back and understand that this game you love is only 5/10 of what it was meant to be, you're basically denying yourself an even better game by kissing CDPRs ass and saying that they did a good job. They didn't.

    This multibillion company lied to you and you should not take it lightly. Spend few minutes on the internet and research how they have mistreated their developers. I love Witcher games as much as everyone else but CDPR unfortunately are no longer the good guys they said they were. Vote with your wallet, ask for a refund if you can.     The substance of this game is really compelling as there are some amazing stories being told here. The themes, gameplay and open-world is top-notch. What really lets this game down is its piss poor performance on the Ps4. Its really unacceptable especially coming from a company like CD- Project Red.

    I started out enjoying the game despite the bugs. Honestly this game should probably not have been released for PS4 in this state and I feel duped. But the game needs real polish beyond the bugs. The biggest things are just really poor AI. Like it’s not good. A gunshot goes off and nods don’t run they just cower in fear forever. The enemy AI is also poor and enemies from different factionsI started out enjoying the game despite the bugs. Honestly this game should probably not have been released for PS4 in this state and I feel duped. But the game needs real polish beyond the bugs. The biggest things are just really poor AI. Plays like a Farcry game, but worse, with ideas ripped from other MMOs that don't really make as much sense in this game like crimes in progress which they clearly just ripped from Spiderman without any concern of how it would actually fit into the world. CharactersCrashes and bugs within a half hour of play time without fail. Despite bugs and crashes, it is also just not very enjoyable. Characters are dimensional and frankly cringeworthy. The game relies too heavily on throwing sexual content and shock moments to drive the flat narratives. The only challenging part of combat is the clunkiness of the game, and I could walk into a room full of gunmen with a sword an walk away witout any sort of difficulty. No amount of bugfixing or DLC can make this game good. It is easily one of the worst RPGs I have ever played.… Expand

I had enough crashes and distracting bugs to disappoint me completely but I have a larger gripe, the level of filth! I like enjoy the opposite sex but the filth in this game is jarring.     - The movement is often blocked after quickly opening the map or the inventory
    - There are scenes in which a death can no longer be avoided due to an auto-save
    - There are different places where you fall through the world

    The story itself is good, even if it is a bit short, but the side quests and the map itself are really good. If the game gets better with the patches, the price is justified - currently not.

    I recommend playing the game on the PS5 or on a good PC where everything is much more fun.    … Expand

Not going to say anything that was not already said in 2020. The game has an amazing potential and feels attractive for its story. But releasing a version like this.. Buggy to the core, it's to wonder what cdpr did in those past 5 to 6 years.I created an account just to rate the game on ps4.     My first review, and this game is a sample of everything wrong with industry. Worse release, deception and game performance ever. Cant play for more than 15 mins before a crash occurs. I hope i get my refund but regardless, never again will i trust a gaming company.

Not only could they not deliver on promises, they couldn't make a functional game on last-gen consoles. I've crashed 12 times in 20 hours of gameplay, absolutely unacceptable. Textures take upwards of 20 seconds to load in at times, D-pad takes 10 presses to accept a phone call or pull up your menus, there are random holes in the map that if you make the unfortunate mistake of hitting will send you into a loop of crashing your car and being unable to exit. This game isn't what was promised. The game, however, does have one redeeming quality, which is the story and the characters. The main story is compelling, and makes you want to play more, the side quests are meaningful and interesting and contain fun characters that I really enjoy. I've considered refunding the game, but I do want to finish the story and do more of the side quests, so I think I'll hold onto it. If you haven't yet purchased the game and are considering it, I would stay steer away from it for at least 3 months. Overall, this game let me and thousands of others down in the worst way. I know that CDPR was being very ambitious with this game, and that they might not be able to deliver on everything they mentioned, but I at least expected a comfortably playable game, they couldn't even deliver on that.… Expand

    Plaging on PS4 pro.
    Played 24+ house and have had 4 crashes and I visual glitch.
    The story is fantastic and I think the game is great.
    I would rather play this version of the game than wait another 6 months for a version without any bugs.

    Great game. The Ps4 version is very buggy but if it hadn't been hyped up so much I wouldn't have known to be disapointed. This game is everything that I enjoy about video games, my only criticism is that I would like to play it in third person (why else customise your character) although given it's current state i understand the decision.

    Most fun I've had playing a single player game in a long time. The story is incredible, with ample world-building weaved throughout the main and side quests; what's so cool about the world that they've created, is that it's so derivative of our own social and political cultures.     The gameplay mechanics are very engaging. Combat is really fun, and filled with viable choices for specialization. Interesting quest mechanics really help mitigate the feeling I have in most modern RPGs of dot-chasing: in games like outerworlds or Skyrim, I hate feeling like the game is a sequence of dots to be lead around by like a dog.

    I never played a game like this... it's huge its wonderfull it's full of different things, grafic is next gen in a old gen console. With the last 1.05 patch is for me perfect.

    Playing on PS5 this has been a great experience so far all things considered. With all the extremely negative controversy this game in experiencing, it has exceeded my expectations in terms of minimal amount of bugs and performance on a next gen system.

    Can’t believe I bought into the hype. It’s the first and last game I will ever pre-order. I knew something was wrong then moment gameplay started. It hurt my eyes to play. Even if it looked good, this is not an open world RPG. Everything is a lie. And honestly, it probably deserves a 0

    By far the best game this I have played this year yes they are bugs but not game breaking, PS4 and Xbox owners what do except when are trying to play a next gen game on a potato. CD Projekt should never have released this on the old consoles

Yes it does look like a roblox game if something isn’t loaded in, yes it has bugs. But the textures are because the REDengine doesn’t want load times when driving through the city so it loads textures as you get close to them. My biggest problems are just progress bugs and crashes which can easily be fixed by reloading a save. The story is great, the acting is great, This is an incredible game, without bugs in mind, but until that is made, a bug free game, this is just a 7/10… Expand

    I am playing using xbox one x and this is game is state of the art. I see minor glitches but in the general whole story, design, creative ideas, and experience are awesome! I love this game! It states a new level of gaming.

    PS If you have an old platform, but a new one and stop crying. If you want to play new games you need new hardware. Easy.

    Т.к. ставить подобные оценки основываясь лишь на технической части игры и не беря в расчет сюжет, сайд-квесты, атмосферу, дизайн... просто глупо. А до сих пор не исправленные оценки после выхода стольких патчей (на момент написания обзора крайним патчем был 1.06) как от критиков, так и от пользователей, которые на релизе ставили низкие оценки, не прибавляют им ума.

    На релизе игра несомненно была в плохом качестве - баги, вылеты (которые исправили быстро вышедшие патчи), просадки FPS на PS4 Slim и в меньшей степени на PS4 Pro (которые были минимизированы уже в патче 1.04), плохо прописанный ИИ NPC..., но та же визуальная составляющая была ужасна ЛИШЬ на PS4 Slim (сам я отыграл около 20 часов в игру с релиза на PS4 Slim с версией игры 1.02 и 1.04, потом обновился до PS4 Pro), тоже относится и к прорисовке текстур прямо перед глазами игрока, данная проблема в большей степени актуальна для PS4 Slim, на PS4 Pro за ~62 часа такое было всего 2-3 раза и то после быстрой езды.
    И те кто утверждает что на PS4 Pro она выглядела отвратительно - НАГЛО врет, т.к. игра выглядит вполне годно.

    А теперь я пожалуй напишу свое мнение об этой игре.
    Отыграв 82 часов с релиза, с версии 1.02 до версии 1.06 я получил кучу эмоций и удовольствия от игры. Классный сюжет который зацепил меня похлеще Ведьмака 3, классные сайд-квесты и мир игры.
    Множества критических багов, вылетов на которые многие жалуются лично я встретил минимум. Вылетов за свои 82 часа я повстречал АЖ ЦЕЛЫХ 6 вылетов, и лишь 1 из 6 произошел на самой багованной версии 1.02. Из критических багов за всю игры было лишь зависание начального квеста Джуди, последнего квеста Керри и второй гонки из квеста "королева автострад" и все устранялось простой перезагрузкой.
    Было конечно и много мелких багов, например таких как:
    - зависание текстуры сигареты в воздухе у некоторых персонажей;
    - проваливание через текстуры (4 раза);
    - баги боссов, которые во время схватки просто стояли и не ничего не делали;
    - несколько раз падали машины с неба...

    И на данный момент самой весомой и до сих пор неисправленной недоработкой игры является ИИ ее NPC, который, я надеюсь, поправят в грядущих патчх.

    Возможно это мне так повезло, что у меня было минимум вылетов и критических багов (даже на ранней версии игры), но и те кто говорит "о вылетах каждый час" либо приувеличивет, либо просто даже не играл и нечет чушь.

    Я рекомендую данную игру к ознакомлению, и даже позволю сказать что она обязательна к ознакомлению.
    И если данные слова можно было, мягко говоря, подвергнуть сомнению - то теперь это определенно не так.    … Expand

    100+ hours in the game and i love every second of it! Game has all we need: great story, epic characters, tons of side activities and some well planned mechanics (might still be buggy but idea is great). i understand that the game was not/is not bug free as we would imagine but show me other games that does not have bugs...     Maybe Cd project will repair the game in future but at now playing it on basic ps4 or ps4 slim is not that fun comparing it to playing it on pc. And that's sad, because it's a great game with fun game play and interesting story.

    First, even on PS5, there are numerous bugs which for me wasn't game breaking, but annoying after some time. Subtitles hanging on screen, random explosions and a very dumb AI throw you out of this dark future America. However, if you ignore the Bugs the Game is stunning beautiful. You will find yourself intrigued by most areas and smaller details, like a tree build inside a building or a parade accompanied by colourful holograms. The story is, despite being short in its parts where your choices really matter, very well written with interesting characters and brushes deep and important questions. Side Quests and job are also interesting, but your choices there are almost irrelevant. But the diverse characters compensate for that weakness. References to Pop culture are a bit excessive for me, but this depends on your taste.

    The Gameplay is okay, but nothing great. While your choices how to tackle a level are vast, neither the leveling mechanic nor the items/inventar or the item build mechanic are of great importance. You have to be careful not to waste countless hours in your inventory to sort the countless items you get. You will only use let's say up tp 6 weapons the entire game, don't waste your time, choose early and then sell everything else. Supply of Healing Items is excessive, hope it will be patched, because after 100 hours you will have approximately 400 healing items left which heal your wounds instantly. Makes this game except a special boss fight very easy. But even this Boss fight was buggy for me, so after some time it was stuck on a pixel and i was able to just stand and shot. There is much unused potential for CD Projekt Red here.

    And yes, you can customize your genitals in this game. Though, you will only see them in your inventory screen. Your sexual partners aren't commenting on them, you will not see them one time in a sex scene and you can not drive a motorcycle naked and be stopped by the police, because you will always wear an underwear. This makes it so useless and deprives the players of so many funny possibilities that I'm not sure why they bothered animating this.

    Comment on the police: They will find you. In this game they pop out of nowhere when you shoot people considered civilians, even though they should not know where you are. Their AI is as bad as for the cars: they aren't able to drive around your parked cars, even if only two pixels protrude to the street. But I'm sure they will fix all the issues in the future. At least I hope. In a time, where the hotfixes don't need other hotfixes.

    But despite all those flaws, this game was fun for me. But I can't deny all the unused potential here. My advice: Wait for a PS5/ Extended Version. At least wait 6 months to a year and see if they progressed. Then you will find a funny and well build game.    … Expand

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
