    This could have been the best Call of Duty story campaign, but crappy politics ruined it. Infinity Ward should be ashamed of themselves. Almost 1/5 of the relatively short campaign are just episodes of russian soldiers and generals committing all possible sorts of war crimes. Some of them just don't make any sense. The game eventually blames Russia for all problems of the Middle East.This could have been the best Call of Duty story campaign, but crappy politics ruined it.     I was also unpleasantly surprised when I read that the game manipulates facts. Like that death highway in Iraq and the fact that russian general uses waterboarding torture which is actually CIA method of torturing people.
    I bet the following games will show people of other countries in the same disguisting way. Like evil chinese soldiers raping women, evil irani soldiers burning children with fire, etc. If the american government doesn't like a certain country, then Infinity Ward will make it look as evil as possible.    … Expand

    This game is very low quality, poorly made, a cheap copy of Battlefield. It is so bad that I stopped playing it after one day and switched back to the BO4.     There is no morality in this game. it's just propaganda. anti-Russian propaganda, the plot is built in such a way as to show what kind of Russians are bad. The captain soap was not of the coolest operative as he was in the past parts. and the main character’s brother’s motivation is so laughter

    Peinlich. Was soll das? Das is battlefield oder Camp of duty. Kaum ein TDM wird mit voller Punktzahl beendet. Es gibt tausend ecken und zimmer wo einer liegt. COD WAR mal action und spass.     Not great as good old CoD series. Only Captain Price is here, other original characters are missing. Story isnt that great, its just same hollywood like cliche "One man saves the day" story. The multiplayer, graphics and gun details improved a lot, however, CoD is still behind of Battlefield series in terms of multiplayer and realism. I'd choose BF4 over this any day.

    Overall the game is bad. I play mostly multiplayer.

    The maps are awful, worst I've seen in any FPS and I've played a ton. My main gripe is there's no cover, no way to set up strategy, just angles on you from every direction, almost as if someone went through every map and made sure you could not hold down a position.     I didn't play Campaign much but yes it is soaked in "we hate russians" propaganda, someone at Activision clearly hates Russians.

    There was no reason to screw with the way minimaps work, but they did....not sure why. Footsteps are also much louder than they need to be and there's a lot of annoying and pointless chatter from your character.

    Outside of that there are a few good things. The Gunsmith is cool, there's a ton of ways to customize your weapons. In fact the amount of customization you can do is really the best part about this game. I like the killstreaks too, nice variety, and the graphics overall are decent.    … Expand

    Singleplayer Campaign is great, but not in the slightest worth 60€. The only reason I'm getting a chance of playing this is because i got it for free with my card. It would get a score from me if I could properly play it but seeing how they do not care about optimization, I get dev errors constantly. And coming from cs the gameplay(online) is abominable.     A big factor in this is also the fact that everytime i start battlenet theres a 10gb Update for the game and when i finally downloaded that there are shader downloads ingame that take even more time. I wouldn't recommend buying this game if you want to play it, if you want it to sit in your library, downloading 10gb updates every now and then go for it.

    the story is so weak and racist af for blaming again the Russians for everything but i do appreciate that there is one this time missions are meh and some characters just don't make sense basically the writing in this game is total trash

    there aren't as much weapons compared to the previous titels

    the locked off spec ops mode is total bull in my opinion although the devs did say its just 1% of the game i do not find that true at all because the game is separated to three parts story multiplayer and spec ops so its more like a third of the game was just deleted and placed only on one platform

    i know they said there will be no micro transactions what so ever but its activision and of course they will add them so ill place this con just because i know there will be micro transactions in this game at some point

    there arent as much fun maps in this game or any maps at all i mean there are some but not as much as every cod needs

    pros:

    game play is super fun and really brings back that old cod feeling

    the graphics are just beautiful and the animation is smooth as hell

    i didn't encounter even 1 bug or glitch in this game which is a rare thing in 2019

    multiplayer works perfectly and there is no server issues

    the spec ops mode is so much fun especially the survival mode they brought back from mw3 its a real shame only ps4 players can play this mode

    and the ending in the story brought a huge smile to my face because again this game is a prequel so you'll hear some nostalgic names here and there

    in conclusions this game is a solid one despite the racist story it has good multiplayer and (although only on ps4 for now) the awesome spec ops mode and to this games credit it did bring me back to cod and for that this game deserves huge props and that bring me to the final score which is a 7 out of 10 i really do recommend this game play it before they add all the greedy stuff to it lol    … Expand

This game could have been up there with MW2 if they had good map design and logical perks ( Dead silence!).    Skill based matchmaking in general multiplayer lobbies.     The best COD multiplayer since MW2, I thoughouly enjoy the final product, and want to support this game for it's lack of microtransactions and loot boxes. (Looking at you BO4). If you've been waiting for the bs to go away before buying back in, now's the time.

    Call of duty back to its very best! Gameplay and mechanics are spot on. Campaign is amazing. Multiplayer is excellent too.

    Campaign is awesome, but i am here for the multiplayer, and it is just boring, noob friendly and frustrating. What makes the game worse is that the devs are ignoring the community, such a disaster of a title.

    What a propaganda... I love CoD and playing this game for 10 years. But last part is weird. Russian army and terrorists are the same? Holy **** its too much. Im from Russia and I've never seen such a lie.I hope that people who were in Russia will never believe in this lie. I will play this game anyway in multiplayer, but campaign mode is terrible.

    I give this game 4 out of 10, because in this game there are only two interesting missions, and the rest of the story is not interesting, boring and it's a **** propaganda that all Russian villains and they have no feelings except to be angry with the brave Americans. Graphics and videos are good.

This game is 2019 military version of "Tom and Jerry" cartoon: EVIL RUSSIAN general and his bloodthirsty murderers has been trying to kill a small girl for 20 years, while having power to demolish the entire villages of civilis and whose subordinates have opportunity to carry out public mass executions, BECAUSE THEY KILLED OUR SOLDIERS, can't get her at any point of his residence in a mythical country called Urzikstan. Objectively, technical and graphical aspects of this game did not impress me and my dear comrades, which we have played for some hours. The only plus of this game is Saint-petersburg. I've been there for two times and I definitely can say the traffic of this city has been shown correctly, it is totally insane. Also people in big cities like to make exhibitions of retro-cars and visit atmospheric bars in basements. I'm not sure about films shown in these cinemas. Shame on those people who are responsible for creating of these images. From now on we won't ever play games from these game developers, this is an absolute shame.… Expand

    Ddn't really think it would be so much violence sure you were warned about graphical content but not against the story itself. Keep in mind this can give you nightmares, and nausea, in 2019 this type of games should never come to market.

    I'm not a hypocrite, I supported Blizzard when an idiot from Hong Kong tried to drag games into politics. Now I'm against Activision they're trying to get me into politics through the game. But it is their right to see the world black and white. But twice selling NATO propaganda is a crime, you have already been paid by NATO officials, why do you demand money from me?

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
