    If people can drop a 0 or 1 because "anti russian propaganda", even though that's been a staple of the MW franchise for as long as I can remember, I can put a 10 because it's a decent game that I'm having fun with.

    Yes, the SP's story is simplistic and the classic "Russian and the middle eastern terrorists want to kill innocents, so the US and UK swoop in to save the day". I wouldn't    If people can drop a 0 or 1 because "anti russian propaganda", even though that's been a staple of the MW franchise for as long as I can remember, I can put a 10 because it's a decent game that I'm having fun with.

    Yes, the SP's story is simplistic and the classic "Russian and the middle eastern terrorists want to kill innocents, so the US and UK swoop in to save the day". I wouldn't call it propaganda, at least not an effective one for me. It's just uncreative writing: pick antagonists everyone knows already so you don't have to explain why they're evil.

    The MP part of the game is clearly its focus. And... it's CoD. Good ol' arcade CoD, not without its share of infuriating issues, definitely far from perfect even for a game of which sole purpose is to allow you to shoot virtual folks in the face (spawns, weapon balance, you name it, CoD has a problem with it) but it's overall very playable and, if you like the classic CoD gameplay, you most likely won't be neither disappointed nor surprised.
    You know, unless you're like all the reviewers here and can no longer stand the "evil russia" trope to the point of screaming in anger instead of just saying "eh, whatever" and enjoying a game for what it is.    … Expand

    I'll try to be objective. Let's start with a single game. Activision promised that there will be no bad or good. Only the real" gray " morality. In the English version of the game, the Russian army is accused of war crimes and genocide of civilians. The plot is so cranberry and cartoonish that I remembered old action movies from the 90s.

    Singleplayer is nice after a long time, but to be honest nobody buy COD for campaign, so I will not score per it at all. After announced there will be no Blackout (only good part of previous game) we expected at least good multiplayer. What a fail. First, you need to wait 15 minutes "connecting to server" and then after all that time you get into worst COD multiplayer for long time. ShortSingleplayer is nice after a long time, but to be honest nobody buy COD for campaign, so I will not score per it at all. After announced there will be no Blackout (only good part of previous game) we expected at least good multiplayer. What a fail. First, you need to wait 15 minutes "connecting to server" and then after all that time you get into worst COD multiplayer for long time. Short time to kill produced game where 95% of players camp at same place. If you camp you get good score, if you are not no chance to survive. From same reason nobody play for objective. The maps are horrible and the gameplay is sluggish with the advantage going to the player who sits still in a corner and camps. The aggressive play that made COD so great is now pentalized. If i did not love the series, i would of rated this game lower. On the plus side theIt is the worst Call of Duty ever in my opinion... To be honest, it shouldnt even be considered a Call of Duty game. The maps are horrible and the gameplay is sluggish with the advantage going to the player who sits still in a corner and camps.     3) A choice of an enemy and degree of its villainy was dictated by the market, not moral, which was shown with a recent scandals incl. Activision and Blizzard. So, when authors say that it is a purely fictional and they do not refer to specific country/official military, that sounds not so convincing.
    4) All the other aspects of the game make it a very good one: graphics, shooting, stage direction are pretty well. If a low-tier, low-influential product insults you, that is ok, but when you see that a work of a good professionals is pointed against your national pride, that makes you sad and then angry.    … Expand

Самая худшая сюжетная история, где нет мотивов персонажей. При желании и творчестве разработчиков, это игра могла стать игрой года, но нет. Раньше я считал, что самый паршивый издатель с нулевым уровнем уважения к потребителю это Ubisoft, который пытается выжать все деньги из игрока, выпуская посредственные и похожие друг на друга игры, где магазин за реальные деньги выглядит интереснее и разнообразнее чем сама игра.
    Эта жизнь никогда не перестанет удивлять. Теперь топ 1 по цинизму и лицемерию - Activision Blizzard.
    Я прекрасно понимаю, что это всего лишь издатель, я допускаю, что они возможно не могли повлиять на Infinity Ward и на тот высер, что они сделали. Или не хотели?
    Самый главный лицемер - Бобби Котик, ему плевать на потребителя, он сокращает штат своих же сотрудников. Компания по сути превратилась в женщину с низкой социально ответственностью. Сами посудите, сначала новость про игрока из Гонконга, который был забанен, чтобы выслужиться перед правительством КНР и не потерять огромный кусок азиатского рынка. А когда с них американское правительство резонно спрашивает, почему вместо американских ценностей, компания поддерживает коммунистический Китай, издатель раздвигая булки американскому правительству умудряется шикарным образом его ублажить выпуская этот "шедевр" где русские хуже гитлеровского третьего рейха. Ребята, у третьего рейха была хоть какая то идеология, пусть и не самая позитивная. Тут же видимо русские убивают только ради того чтобы убивать. А самое то шикарное во всей этой истории, что эти ребята пытаясь и вишню съесть и кое на что не сесть меняют озвучку и модельки персонажей так сказать special for russia, чтобы мол не так обидно было. Уверен выручка от продаж в российском регионе и странах СНГ просто ничтожна в отличии от любой крупной европейской страны, но эти лицемеры все равно не погнушались и попытались хоть немного, но урвать бабла. И я ни за что не поверю, что перекрашивание касок у белых касок и переименование России в Костовию было сделано с целью смягчить народный гнев.
    Что примечательно, восхищаюсь SONY. Сначала я не очень понимал почему игру сняли с продажи в российском регионе, а оказалось, что руководство которое там работает своей репутацией дорожит больше чем прибылью с продаж. Понятно, что это не отеческая забота о русскоязычном комьюнити - репутация это тоже деньги пусть и не здесь и сейчас, но поступок считаю красивым.
    Порадовала техподдержка, которая осуществляла возврат средств за игру. На просьбу вернуть деньги ответили "конечно конечно, сейчас сделаем только в течении суток не заходите в игру пожалуйста, а то они мне на запрос повесят бан и я не смогу завершить процедуру возврата средств". Специалист мне показался этаким Штирлицом в тылу врага, который все понимает и помогает.

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
