    This game is definitely worth playing. Didn't see such a deep and contradictory plot in years, especially in the FPS game. Don't look at angry pseudo-patriotic russian which are approximately 15 y.o i think. If they aren't then I can't understand their screamings about propaganda. The plot is not about "angry" russian or "good" americans it is about WAR, about its stakes and methods andThis game is definitely worth playing.     Just amazing return to form for COD in campaign mode. I haven’t played special ops yet or online but if you’re a campaign player like myself you’ll most likely enjoy it very much.

    We want back a good history and this game has an epic history.
    Multiplayer with a huge worh behind it and many modes and maps.
    May be this is the best shooter nowadays.

    Quite good overall. Just couple of maps in MP suffers from low FPS, but campaign, MP and specops are all good.
    And considering 99% of users bad reviews are russians crying about being bed guys in campaignt, it gets pretty good user score.

    Strange plot. Again evil Russians killing childrens. Actually evil Russians it’s not a problem, at the MW2 or even MW3 it was be really funny to fight with Russians in the Washington, just because it was absurdly, and doesn’t have smth links with real world. But here is the toooooooo serious and for this reason is very boring. Sad.

    Not that great this time and campaign was rushed no content really just a cod movie. Online is cookie cutter. Weapons seem good but are clunky to handle.

    Show this game to 12 yr old me playing MW2 and my brain would be **** melted. Some glitches and bugs but i trust those will get ironed out soon. Campaign had jaw on the floor moments and really captured the essence of what “modern warfare” means. This is exactly what Call of Duty in 2019 should look and feel like.

    Call of duty modern warfare is fresh but familiar when it comes to multiplayer and spec ops. The campaign however is truly amazing. I have never felt so emotional attached to call of duty story as I am with this one. I believe that this game is great for the single player crowd as well as the people who like multiplayer.

    I literally made an account on this website for the sole purpose of leaving this review. I bought it on release, took it home, waited half an hour for it to install on my PS4 only to find out the required a massive update/download straight out of the box just like WWII did. In one mission they show us how Russian bomb road where civilians evacuating, that was in real life, but that do american soldiers in Iraq, if you want you can read about it in internet. Instead we have completely **** maps with so many head glitch positions. And to put the crap icing on the cake, they’ve made 6v6 feel like a legacy mode,utterly awful decision. Cod is cod, it’s the highest selling game of the year. Infinity wars haveUtter crap. It’s a battlefield wannabe.     Yeah I am enjoying cod again after several years of terrible editions this one get a lot right. On a side note metacritic should probably remove some of these angry Russian reviews I am sorry you are all so upset about a fictional story in a single prayer campaign but get over it. Everyone takes thing way too personally now days it is just a game.

    Absolutely a great game. The Campaign is absolutely mind blowing, It's very refreshing to see a Call of Duty in this light. Missions like Clean House and The Wolf's Den is like if COD had a baby with Zero Dark Thirty. You get the sense that with the campaign, the franchise has very much grown up and I can't wait to see where the take it in the next one. My only problem with the campaignAbsolutely a great game. The Campaign is absolutely mind blowing, It's very refreshing to see a Call of Duty in this light. Missions like Clean House and The Wolf's Den is like if COD had a baby with Zero Dark Thirty. You get the sense that with the campaign, the franchise has very much grown up and I can't wait to see where the take it in the next one. My only problem with the campaign was that it was a tad short for me and I kinda felt that at some times it felt rushed. Overall it's still a 10/10 Campaign.

    In terms of Multiplayer for me personally it doesn't manage to achieve the greatness of earlier COD games and to be fully honest I'm ok with that. multiplayer is still very fun and I'll be definitely be putting a lot of hours into it. It's satisfying to play and I have no major gripes with it (Maps included).

    In terms of why I think this game is worth a 8/10 is that it's been quite a rough launch. Some crashing and lag issues have severely effected the game in these early stages. Furthermore, TTK is a bit on the low side which is a definite change from earlier games. I'm also not that happy with requiring internet to play the Campaign. Depending on how technical issues are addressed in the coming months it could easily become a 9/10 for me. If you're on the fence I'd wait till the holiday season for all the technical issues to get fixed.

    Oh and if you're seriously considering buying the game you can ignore the trolls, the astounding visuals of the game merit at least a 3 or 4 even if you hated the story and multiplayer. They haven't played the game.    … Expand

    I’m having a great time with this especially having come off Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The slower more tactical style suits me compared to other COD titles. Runs well and no serious bugs so far. Can’t believe I’m saying this but good work Activision.

I play with a group of buddies and we just have fun slaying/dying/doing stupid **** It’s been out a day and a ton of people will hate on it but we are having a blast. Try survival it’s awesome.     I was excited for this release but the gameplay is 100% punishing people who don't camp. But I can get the drop on someone. Nail three bullets into their face and I get turned on and Instantly and one shot. I have lost almost every 1:1 that I go against and I'm not sure why. Map design just kind of is window shooting with a low visibility

    When its being COD this is the best COD since MW2. The maps that riff off Battlefield aren't too special. and I'm not too partial to the game-modes that borrow from Counter-strike/Rainbow Six (I personally prefer old-school deathmatch) but there are game modes for everyone. Graphics, sound and gun play are really top-notch. Didn't play the campaign and never have in a COD game.

    Unplayable. Would rate 10/10 if it was. Pay over 600$+ for an Xbox One X Console and the dark edition of the game and it crashes every game I try to get in. Billions dollars budget and several betas we're also made before release, to get this kind of quality...

    Best cod since black ops. The campaign is solid and doesn't feel like a throw away. The multiplayer is pretty good and takes some pointers from battlefield in a good way. Don't listen to the negativity as this is whiny triggered crybaby era after all and people get triggered with everything these days. The only negative is its online only which sucks

    This new and reborn Modern Warfare is what this franchise needed. I’ve just completed the Campaign and I am amazed by how well done the story is. The game engine upgrade is on full display with the best looking Call of Duty to date. The multiplayer has game modes for everyone while bringing back the nostalgic feeling of the older Modern Warfare games. There are very few game modes that IThis new and reborn Modern Warfare is what this franchise needed. I’ve just completed the Campaign and I am amazed by how well done the story is. The game engine upgrade is on full display with the best looking Call of Duty to date. The multiplayer has game modes for everyone while bringing back the nostalgic feeling of the older Modern Warfare games. There are very few game modes that I avoid playing. I am very impressed and can honestly say I would recommend this game to anyone interested in the FPS genre.… Expand

    I am going to be completely honest with this review. I have been playing Call of Duty since 2010 with Black ops 1, and I loved the game due to how good it was. The campaign was absolutely amazing that had little to no flaws in it. The multiplayer was a balanced, fun and grind-worthy experience that somebody can never get bored of. The 3rd game mode, Zombies was a simple gamemode that wasI am going to be completely honest with this review. I have been playing Call of Duty since 2010 with Black ops 1, and I loved the game due to how good it was. The campaign was absolutely amazing that had little to no flaws in it. The multiplayer was a balanced, fun and grind-worthy experience that somebody can never get bored of. The 3rd game mode, Zombies was a simple gamemode that was extremely fun with your friends or solo that I still to this day never got bored of. Now we are in 2019 with this terrible excuse for a Call of Duty. Lets start with the multiplayer, it is an unbalanced mess with nothing fun about it. Snipers are absolutely busted and they one shot people no matter where you hit them. The weapons are extremely inconsistent. I can put 10 bullets into someone and it would be like I pinched them in the ass, or I can put 2 bullets of that same gun into somebody else and they get wiped out of **** existence. The maps are absolutely terrible and are made for people that sit and camp for the whole game. There are very little game modes in this game to go along with the **** maps, and the **** balance too! The core game modes are TDM, Domination, Headquarters, Cyber Attack, and Search and Destroy. Know lets compare that to the game modes in Black Ops 1, A game that is 9 years older than Modern Warfare has Team Deathmatch, Mercenary Team Deathmatch, Free-for-All, Domination, Ground War, Demolition, Sabotage, Headquarters, Capture the Flag, Search and Destroy, Team Tactical, and Express. More than double of the amount of core gamemodes in a 9 year old game than in Modern Warfare. Don't even get me started on the Ground War in this game... I would rather play Battlefield V blind folded with my feet than play this blatant rip-off of Conquest in Battlefield. Oh, and everyone snipes in this gamemode too so you are gonna get one hit by a guy you do not even see! Which brings me to one of the biggest problems of this game, you can simply just not see people properly and have no idea of which direction you got killed from. If I were you guys, get Battlefield V and wait for the War on the Pacific update to come out.… Expand

    Taking that into consideration, this game BLOWS ME AWAY. Yes, they bring back the nostalgia, yes, you feel it, YES, YOU WILL LOVE IT, yes, it is the same, yes, it is different. This game is the conglomeration of old and new and Activision blew it out of the water. You feel the fun, the rush, the enjoyment and intensity of early COD:4 / MW2 with MW. It's the same old game that is completely re-vamped and new. And it WORKS.

    The gun animations, the new gun system, the perks, EVERYTHING IS DONE ACCURATELY AND PRECISELY. The leveling system is NEW and memorable. The sound effects are INSANE. MOTHER OF GOD, IT'S LIKE I'M ON THE BATTLEFIELD. Bullets cut the air as they wiz past your ear. Your teammates scream at different volumes based on their distance away. Gun effects are amplified in tunnels, rooms and are less apparent outside. It feels REAL. It feels nostalgic.

    This game captures the essence of Call of Duty without being completely being nostalgic.    … Expand

Whilst this may be true, the game mentions that "not everyone is a hero", implying that americans aren't either. If this game was released in 2008 it would be the game of the decade, just like how COD 4 was. COD 4 WAS EXACTLY THE SAME; the reason why people are getting offended is because it's visualized in such a gruesome manor. I don't believe that the Russians are bad people, it's the cult who are. As well as Americans or any other international organization, everyone is bad in each others own perspective so i don't get why people are rating this a "0" or a "1". Other than that, the level design in each mission is amazing. Some missions really make you think what's best to do, flash bangs and tactical are actually meaningful now because if you run too far forward you'll get killed which i like. If you think for yourself, and know that the story is fictional, then you will have a good time too.

    Spec ops is shy of being interesting also. I'm very underwhelmed by how they treated this. Each mission is a pain because most of the levels are open dull empty areas where you have to go to one place to another. The enemies are super hard to battle against, and there is no difficulty mode

    Now onto the main thing, the multiplayer.
    I'm going to say this - this multiplayer has been the most underwhelming out of the bunch and this is probably the first Cod ever where i don't actually put effort into leveling up. When i heard about how this game played and the maps in the beta; i was so excited. However, when it dropped I soon realized how bad it actually is.

    Basically both gunplay and gameplay don't correlate well at all with the maps. The only map I enjoy playing is Azhir Cave because it's short, to the point and you don't have to wait about 30-40 seconds to get back into the battle and when you die, you have to do the same thing it's not fun and it's not the style Cod should be. most of the normal maps "in the quick play rotation" are really bad as stated above. That being said the gunfights are a good implementation to the game. Maps like docks, and gulag showers (nice throwback) are good maps for 2v2. Only wish the main part of that gulag was in this MW as a standalone map. The worst map has to be Piccadilly because it's just uninspiring. There's no detail other than a bunch of thrown bus' in the middle and everyone camps, there's no good gameplay with this map. I understand if this happened in a normal life, then this would be realistic; but for an arcade shooter? no... I'm really surprised that map even went passed QA.. and finally ground war.. this is what i like the most ironically. but just copied from battlefield

    Extras: I like the leaning feature, the graphics are beautiful (best cod for graphics), there's no full teams in multiplayer lol

    Verdict - The campaign is solid, spec ops is mediocre and multiplayer is just biased (love it or hate it sorta thing). I'd say wait until it's on sale.

    Too many sheep jumping on the propaganda bandwagon. I'm seeing reviews with 0s although they're giving the MP and Coop scores of up to 7-8/10 in their review. The typical bandwagon of Call of Duty haters are lining up to bring the ratings down. It's the best Call of Duty we have had in 7 years and everyone still sooks. Get over it.

    Amazing graphics! Every single detail is well-thought for the environment. You don’t see any machine like human, they all look and act like normal people. The story may come as a bit of a cliche but hey it’s the same thing what we see on the news.

True, but there will be some dumb asses who will be thinking it's all the truth. That is disappointing for me, and a company like Activision shouldn't make plots like that one.

    but now the bad part
    if you want to play special ops you need to download 4 packs from the store
    and it feels not a 60 euro game content is low not much to do

    Graphics is sexy, as to pertain to the new generation of graphics engine used by infinity ward. Gameplay is cool. Multilayer is fun. I really love it. And as for campaign, it seems that the devs took inspiration from multiple films...... Really epic stuff

    WARNING- MAJOR connectivity issues with this game! The servers are complete garbage.i got about 50 different error codes just trying to play with my bro. Great game but if u want it to play with some friends don't buy this game

    Todos los mapas tienen 40 ventanas para que la gente se te quede esperando y te maten una y otra vez sin saber donde estas, los enemigos son poco visibles y la gran mayoría se aprovecha de todas las aperturas de los mapas para campear toda la partida entera.

    Siendo sincero este es un muy buen juego, pero estos problemas van a terminar dejándolo pero que Black Ops 4, y eso es caer bajo.

    PD: Y me olvide decir que el p*to sonido esta ROTO.

    This game is good and very fun. The new engine is amazing and still has that classic cod feel. The campaign was very fun and has some of my favorite cod missions of all time. The multiplayer is fun except for the maps are really bad. The gunsmith is a great addition and add a lot more variety to guns. Spec ops is just as fun as I remember from MW3. The multiplayer is terrible and the developers made the movement extremely unrealistic. It feels like I am playing a low budget Call of Duty clone. The maps are poorly designed and they are too big for a COD game.

    As I said before, this game requires internet. So once the developers decide to switch off the servers, I won't be able to play the campaign or mutliplayer with bots, unless I have the game and patches installed in the console. There is no way I am keeping a garbage game in my console for long, therefore it will end up in the trash can when the servers shut down. I recommend you only get the digital version if is $15 or lower, or just wait until it is free on PS Plus. The physical copy is worthless.    … Expand

    This is not modern warfare. This is literally step child of black ops. If you enjoy 1 shot deaths and 17 shot kills, small clusterfu** maps and awful respawns, you will enjoy this trash. Too bad, the modern warfare series was the only one I enjoyed and this is garbage.

    I love that they werent going in on the LQGBT **** and showed some graphic scenes like the good old days. Not giving it a 10 because the PS4 exclusivity.

    Why activation is trying to make this game a propaganda. Why Cod is trying to make everyone an enemy and US a hero. It will be a much better game to hire someone to write a decent story. That is why I love so much about the titan-fall 2. I literally cried when I saw BT sacrificed himself. But for Cod, I just felt funny. Bad game, Activation should pay players to play this garbage.

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
