    It is a great disgrace for me as Russian to know that designers are still living with their heads in their asses, and cannot look beyond Ivan Drago image. I'd love to see the absolute saltfest when marines and seals are depicted as brain-dead targets getting mowed down by the dozens by a single spetsnaz boi.

    This is propaganda from propagondons. In previous parts of this game there were different moments, but they were not so disgusting. This game shouts that Russian are f***ing terrorists that like to kill everybody:from children to women.

    поставил 0. из всей серии понравилась наверное Black Ops, а это какая то хуйня. Не вижу больше смысла покупать игры этой серии. Игра которая и так давно скатилась имея такие бюджеты, а теперь еще и смогла полностью обосраться в глазах не только поклонников. Но и всех остальных. Медисон все таки все правильно сказал, когда отказался её форсить) 10 русских Гебельсов из 10.поставил 0. из всей серии понравилась наверное Black Ops, а это какая то хуйня.     An example of how a technically incomparable game, with amazing shooting and excellent staging of most of the single scenes that really make you feel uncomfortable with the trek, is broken up by the Russophobic script and Nazism of the publishers. It's a shame Activision, it's a feil! I will never buy the games of this publisher again.

    I think it's really good. Very realistic shooter, nice graphics and interesting storyline. I believe it shows us real situation in Syria.

    10/10 disregard any latest reviews, clearly feelings have got In the way and should be deleted, it's a fictional game, based on real life events, Russians have been the bad guys in MW but the American have been shown to be dodgy i.e Shepard in MW2..

    The best call of duty to date. The guns have the best animations with smoke and casings flying out and now they have 2-64 players dosen't get better than this. Hopefully this is the new call of duty. I'll buy the next if it sticks to this formula.

    Finally a mature great story where the publisher had the balls to really put something thought provoking out instead of the last few cookie cutter games they have released... what a great change of pace... also people need to stop being offended and just enjoy the game for what it is... a war game.

    This game is by far the best that has been produced in the series. The shooting mechanics are fantastic and satisfying. Not any crazy movement mechanics to distract from the great shooting. The story is actually really well crafted and a fun, but sad ride with some great set pieces and impactful events. Best Call of Duty out there, got me back as a regular player with the series.

    I don’t know what all this talk is about this Russian propaganda and non sense is because I haven’t played the story but everyone knows the bulk of gameplay comes from multiplayer and my god have they saved the series. I was scared this game was going to plagued with loot boxes and micro transactions but no! They managed to save this series from the brink of death. Absolutely phenomenal.

    I get that everyone is upset about the way the fiction in this game is similar to real world events, however giving the game a 0 based on that is ridiculous.your basing a review of the entire game on one story element that lasts all of 20 minutes. At the end of the day it's just a game, and it's fiction.     Best Call of Duty in years. The online plays quite well and has plenty of options for all tastes.

    I found the campaign interesting enough, with moments of tension and well paced action. I wish they didnt feel the need to insert women into every scene.....they dont belong on the front lines of war, and similarly, they dont belong commanding soldiers on the front lines.....dont like    Best Call of Duty in years.     Other than the crammed in nods to the "inclusion" goblins, its good fun and more importantly, plays better than the game has in a long time.

    If you are Russian and upset at the game for its story, suck it up buttercup. I thought you were tougher than that....our two countries have been poking at each other for decades....youve done it to the United States plenty of times.. its just a game. I didnt realize you had become as sensitive as the French. Go ahead, make a game that uses America as the bad guys again.....we will survive it.

Дело не в том, что Российскую армию представили в негативном свете, а в том, что Activision изначально заявляли о том, что в игре будет так называемая "серая мораль", что у всех сторон будут свои определенные мотивы и не будет точного ответа на вопрос: "а кто прав в конечном итоге?", - и вокруг этого было поднято много шуму, но в итоге мы имеем что имеем, а Activision как пиар менеджеры все сделали классно привлеча к себе внимание. И я не понимаю вот этой тенденции все кидать в одну кучу, то есть если мне не понравилась игра, и то, что заявленных обещаний не было реализовано, то я автоматически становлюсь "провластным", даже несмотря на то, что я негативно отношусь к нынешнему курсу государства. Еще хочу сказать пару слов про так называемую дорогусмертиоторой якобы российские войска перебили отступающих "оппозиционеров", - я прекрасно понимаю, что это сюжетный вымысел, - но дело в том, что эта самая "дорога смерти" имеет свой прототип из реальной жизни, вот только это было связано с Иракским конфликтом, когда вооруженные силы США перестреляли отступающих бойцов Иракской армии, которые уже не могли оказывать вооруженного отпора, против установлений Женевской конвенции, хотя и там все очень не однозначно, но вопрос остается открытым: "зачем это приписали вооруженным силам России в видео игре?".… Expand

    I think this is great Call of Duty game with stunning graphics and immersive gameplay. I understand people's criticisms about how the game blatantly paints Russians in the bad light. But Modern Warfare games have done this for years. Except this time it's done very poorly by shifting the blame of a real life war crime on Russia just for the story which was in very poor taste and not necessary.

    I play video games to have fun and relax, but having to exhaust myself every match just do okay is neither. And having played every cod game this is the only one besides ghosts I just can't be bothered with. Removing skill based matchmaking would go along way but I really don't see that happening.

    campaign is on a level of greatness. multi player is amazing. only complaint is some maps could have been better for sniping. completely annoyed with all the hate towards the best game since BO2.

    Campaign is pretty good but multiplayer is really bad like it has been since ghosts and special ops is kind of dull. Campaign is pretty much the only good part of this game, so that's the only reason I give it a seven. Don't buy now unless you plan on playing the campaign several times through. Will probably be worth it in a year or two as it'll be considerably cheaper.

This one is a pre sequal to the original CoD 4 Modern Warfare which had two sequals on it. Out of the trilogy the entire plot was Russia versus America. MW1 was based on Russian mercanaries nit the government just a man with the will to wage war, then MW2 and MW3 were based on another russian man with the will to wage war and he succeeded and made america look bad, and in MW2 the American general was shown to be a traitor and a very bad guy.… Expand

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
