    Definitely one of the best game candidates of the year.
    The versatility of gambling, graphics and story is stupidly absurd of wonderful.

    One of the best COD’s in a long time! The graphics are insane (especially cinematics), the single player is interesting and fun and the multiplayer works perfectly. Yes, its dark and gritty but thank God for that! A breath of fresh air in these censored times.

    Overhyped same old COD game as every year. Spawn, get killed from nowhere by people running around like a bunch of headless chickens, Even the graphics aren't great as some of the major review sites claim. Somehow even Battlefield V is much better than this piece of ADD Red Bull garbage.

    Great game overall, some historical discrepancies but it is a work of fiction inspired by true events. Would have liked a second viewpoint from the Russians. Best COD in years.

    The graphics in the game is amazing! It has a game-changing campaign as well as the nostalgic survival mode and special ops mode alot of people have been asking for. The issue I have with the game is that it seems that people are pissed(with reason) about the exclusivity, which I tend to agree upon.     Back to the roots of Call of Duty. The best game in the series since MW2. Graphics are amazing, campaign is excellent, multiplayer back to normal FPS. No crazy abilities, no power sliding or dolphin diving. Just a good old fashion shooter that looks and feels incredible.

    This game educates western kids that US atrocities and war crimes in middle east were actually done by Russia. It is not even funny it should be taken very seriously. This is how young people brainwashed just in case to prepare for a full scale conflict. It happened previously before Ww2 and should not happen again.

    I've gotten so much enjoyment out of this game. The campaign is one of the best story experiences I've ever had in a game. The writing was superb, but the mechanics, art, and underlying systems are really what bring the game to life.     The multiplayer gave me such a sense of nostalgia. After the beta I went back and played MW 1-3 and while good feel very dated, but not to any fault of it's own. 2019 Modern Warfare is the original series like it is in my brain. You can really tell a lot of thought went into every little aspect. I was playing a game of Ground War on the big city map and was just started walking around this large interior. I know it sounds foolish, but the commitment to model water fountains and tedious office spaces for something most players won't even notice is commendable. Maps like Azhir Cave and Gun Runner are as good as anything MW2 offered.

    I can't recommend this game enough if you liked the original Modern Warfare trilogy. It has a slightly more methodical pace, but it's a welcome change in a genre that's only been increasing speed. Don't get me wrong, those games are great in their own way. I played both BLoPs 3 and 4 extensively and really enjoyed them, but Modern Warfare offers a nice grounded approach. Not quite as Jamster as past games, while still providing plenty of opportunities to customize your character. I only hope this trend continues.    … Expand

There is no error code and it dumps straight to the desktop. I'm glad that light is shown on some of the horrific acts of war from countries like Russia. The negative reviews on here seem to be super Pro-Russia for absolutely no other reason than to just **** on a game that is needed in this day and age. Раньше я считал, что самый паршивый издатель с нулевым уровнем уважения к потребителю это Ubisoft, который пытается выжать все деньги из игрока, выпуская посредственные и похожие друг на друга игры, где магазин за реальные деньги выглядит интереснее и разнообразнее чем сама игра.

    Я прекрасно понимаю, что это всего лишь издатель, я допускаю, что они возможно не могли повлиять на Infinity Ward и на тот высер, что они сделали. Или не хотели?
    Самый главный лицемер - Бобби Котик, ему плевать на потребителя, он сокращает штат своих же сотрудников. Компания по сути превратилась в женщину с низкой социально ответственностью. Сами посудите, сначала новость про игрока из Гонконга, который был забанен, чтобы выслужиться перед правительством КНР и не потерять огромный кусок азиатского рынка. А когда с них американское правительство резонно спрашивает, почему вместо американских ценностей, компания поддерживает коммунистический Китай, издатель раздвигая булки американскому правительству умудряется шикарным образом его ублажить выпуская этот "шедевр" где русские хуже гитлеровского третьего рейха. Ребята, у третьего рейха была хоть какая то идеология, пусть и не самая позитивная. Тут же видимо русские убивают только ради того чтобы убивать. А самое то шикарное во всей этой истории, что эти ребята пытаясь и вишню съесть и кое на что не сесть меняют озвучку и модельки персонажей так сказать special for russia, чтобы мол не так обидно было. Уверен выручка от продаж в российском регионе и странах СНГ просто ничтожна в отличии от любой крупной европейской страны, но эти лицемеры все равно не погнушались и попытались хоть немного, но урвать бабла. И я ни за что не поверю, что перекрашивание касок у белых касок и переименование России в Костовию было сделано с целью смягчить народный гнев.
    Что примечательно, восхищаюсь SONY. Сначала я не очень понимал почему игру сняли с продажи в российском регионе, а оказалось, что руководство которое там работает своей репутацией дорожит больше чем прибылью с продаж. Понятно, что это не отеческая забота о русскоязычном комьюнити - репутация это тоже деньги пусть и не здесь и сейчас, но поступок считаю красивым.
    Порадовала техподдержка, которая осуществляла возврат средств за игру. На просьбу вернуть деньги ответили "конечно конечно, сейчас сделаем только в течении суток не заходите в игру пожалуйста, а то они мне на запрос повесят бан и я не смогу завершить процедуру возврата средств". Специалист мне показался этаким Штирлицом в тылу врага, который все понимает и помогает.

There are a lot of multiplayer mode options varying from 2 on 2 cage matches to large scale battlefield style ground war. The campaign was intense, fun, and looked great. It went for a "foreign invaders create chaos and terrorists" angle but made the russians that invader instead of america which was aReally love the new engine. Everything hits harder and feels more tactical/deliberate. There are a lot of multiplayer mode options varying from 2 on 2 cage matches to large scale battlefield style ground war. The campaign was intense, fun, and looked great. It went for a "foreign invaders create chaos and terrorists" angle but made the russians that invader instead of america which was a cheap way to get around making a real-life political statement. That didn't bother me that much it was just disappointing that they were afraid to put the us in that role. The last cod i played before this was black ops 2, but i really enjoyed this and see myself playing it a lot for a while… Expand

    Could dock it one point (but I won’t) for the fact there’s only two Ground War maps and Spec-Op classic and survival being garbage (Operations are cool). Best gunplay, maps, and movement ever in a COD. Campaign was excellent, especially the house/building clearing sections (I’d buy a whole game of those missions).

    Never would I see myself beside the ruskies but, negating war crimes is a BIG deal in video games, like what the hell are you trying to do with this medium? Not only that but treating banned biological weapons in a video games as something fun, like a little multiplayer bonus? What next? Rape as a game mechanic? Why not considering you don't treat war with any amount of respect.

    There's alot to this game so I'm gonna break it down into elements that I think are worth mentioning.

    Firstly, the important parts.... Graphics, Sound Design and mechanics are all spectacular. The solo campaign is just as taught, tense and at times    There's alot to this game so I'm gonna break it down into elements that I think are worth mentioning.

    The solo campaign is just as taught, tense and at times graphic as has been reported on, and ... well, I'm sure most have seen what many are saying about it... basically, war is complicated, Russia is bad, America is the righteous savior, blah, blah. It's a decent romp, but with some pretty gruesome moments. Acting is decent though and characters are well portrayed.

    Multiplayer modes are decently varied. I'm not hugely keen on the very large map 'ground war' mode tbh. It's just too chaotic for my tastes. Other modes on medium maps such as the bomb disposal one and domination are decent, with potential for mastering the maps. My favourite is the one in the Swiss Alps. The Arabic maps are often very complex (particularly the Palace map) with a complicated matrix of interconnected corridors and alleys on various levels. Had some genuinely fun times so far, particularly with the quad bikes etc.

    So here it is..... gunfight. My baby. It's an absolute gem of a mode. The maps are mostly superb - I particularly love King, Pine, Stacks and Speedball, but they are all varied and most offer decent opportunities for tense highly competitive gameplay. The seamless and simple joining of lobbies and fast turnover of games makes it a very addictive mode. What can i say.... this mode alone is worth the ticket price for me, esp if the game is picked up for around 30 quid. Kind of wish they just sold this mode for 15 quid as a standalone MP game, as it would mean the player base would be huge for ages like Rocket League.    … Expand

This time the level design has been reworked to often suit more tactical approaches to a situation, such as taking out lights to remain undetected, slowly edging open a door to get the edge in your opponents and more. I think It’s safe to say that modern warfare has some of the best mission design the series has ever seen. The story however, although interesting lacks depth and fails to flesh out its characters properly. It’s not terrible, and is far beter than the disaster that was black ops 3, but it could be better.
    Now on the multiplayer side, maps have been changed in order to prevent them from feeling far too symmetrical and they generally lean away from three lane design, contrary to recent titles, and this change is for me very welcome. A lot of people aren’t used to having to learn multiplayer maps, and are therefore quite angry about these changes but personally as a huge fan of cod 4 I absolutely love it. Well there is one or two maps that play quite badly but aside from the few exceptions it’s pretty solid. The guns all feel amazing, due to a great weapon balance and some incredible sound design, and I gotta hand it to infinity wars with the extensive gun customization system. The kill streaks in this game are also pretty powerful, and I’m very glad you have plenty of options to help you deploy them such as the perk that enables score streaks, or killchain, which allows you to use streak kills to contribute to you earning more streaks. There are also plenty of enjoyable new game modes such as realism, which strips your hud and kill confirmations, and my favorite; gunfight, which is similar to overwatch elimination where it pits to teams of 2 to finish of the other team first. I am not a fan of the new ground war though, it really feels like a cheap gimmick to steal battlefield players, and to be honest I would much rather play battlefield 4 for the large scale combat. Special ops is also plenty of fun, and it really pushes you to your limits as it is hard as hell. I would recommend playing the campaign first as it is a continuation, and any practice will come in handy. Ultimately Modern warfare is a solid first person shooter experience and scores points for its brutal campaign and its refreshing multiplayer formula.    … Expand

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
