    If a Call Of Duty game does not have a single campaign, then it should not exist. Single player content in Call Of Duty was the foundation of the series, this game not having that gives me an empty feeling.     Multiplayer or zombie play only was a horrible decision. I do not play multiplayer or on line. I prefer the story campaign play. This game is absolutely worthless to me without this feature. I'm glad I rented it to try before buying it. It takes a day to download and install.     I opened the game up looked for campaign mode. Didn't see it, found out it didnt have one. Took the game back the next day. Whats the point of having a game with zero story.. I'll play Battlefield now

Эту игру стряпали специально для консолей и американо-европейских потребителей игрового контента. И заметьте, я не говорил, что для геймеров, а именно для ПТРЕБИТЕЛЕЙ игрового контента. У игры проблемы во всем, у нее просто нет плюсов, для Российских игроков.

    1. Отвратительный ТТК, который уже кто только не упомянул.
    2. Отвратительно низкий тикрейт серверов.
    3. Отвратительная регистрация попаданий, напрямую зависящая от вашего пинга, приготовьтесь к тому, что вас всегда будет кидать в лобби с европейцами и американцами, где ваш пинг будет от 70-80, а у них от 20-30 (Живу в Екатеринбурге, инет подключем самый быстрый, КОТОРЫЙ ЕСТЬ В ГОРОДЕ), абсолютной никакой системы компенсации пинга не предусмотрено.
    4. Графика из 2 части, на которую просто неприятно смотреть. Им пришлось снабдить врагов красными проблестковыми моячками, потому что в общей гамме вся картинка, вместе с противниками сливается в кашу.
    5. Отвратительный мувмент персонажей. Объекты двигаются, как на коньках, из-за чего попасть по противнику, имея при этом высокий пинг практически невозможно.
    6. Через чур завышенный темп игры на ПК, поскольку для ПК игра и не создавалась изначально. Игру пилили исключительно для консолей, на которых, с учетом использования геймпада темп падает на треть и игра становится удобоваримой для восприятия. Если вам за 30, как мне и вы ветеран MW2 - MW3, то даже не суйтесь сюда и не тратьте деньги - эта игра не для вас, вы просто не успеете за ее темпом.
    7. Нафиг ненужная баллистика для такой аркады, которую зачем-то завезли в игру.

    Заметьте, я ничего не писал про отсутствие кампании в игре - это не столь важно. Основная масса СНГшных геймеров играет в галду на ПК. Эта игра делалась не для ПК, не для СНГшных геймеров. За эффектными взрывами этой игры нет ничего, только мешанина из механик, которые не работают в данном контексте. Мне искренне жаль денег, которые я отдал за эту игру и теперь я понимаю, почему ее не выпустили в Steam, чтобы ее нельзя было вернуть.    … Expand

    Positives

    1. There's lots of game modes, including the new Battle Royale mode. Lots of content including multiple zombie maps and lots of multiplayer maps remastered which look great.

    2. The balance feels slightly better.

    3. Felt like I got more for the initial purchase than I have done other CoD's.

    Game-breaking bugs that I would avoid this game entirely for

    1. I have been in multiple multiplayer games where I have been playing the game and randomly I'll get "You will be kicked for inactivity soon" and then surely enough it kicks me mid game, mid round minutes later even though I'm running around shooting.

    2. All game modes, multiplayer and zombies has incredibly unstable servers. On other games my connection is fine, fibre optic so less chance of a dodgy line 200mb+ and no other active users. It's caused me to die twice in zombies and once in multiplayer and it's just random intervals where it will spike to 200ms latency for all users.

    3. The menus are buggy, you can open a menu then close it and the cursor is still moving around over the actual game running in the background with no way to fix it.

    4. In zombies you can be stuck in a menu because a majority has to ready up yet 50% of people seem incapable of actually finding the ready up button, so you spend half of your life in the menu.

    All of the above should be non-issues considering this is the 9,000th iteration of the CoD franchise.

    Negatives

    1. They have almost scaled back graphical details to match more of a childish art style like Fortnite. I don't feel like this matches the CoD franchise.

    2. Multiple item shops and currencies for useless items to leech money off us, you feel left out or behind by not spending at least a little currency.

    3. Season pass for £36/40, sure lots of content but initial disk price + this + 1 CoD point purchase = over £100 for a game that they recycle every year and all your progress will be invalidated when they release the next CoD game.

    4. To conclude the above points, just the fact that they are taking strategies that a F2P game (Fortnite) uses to generate money and shoving it down paying, loyal customers throats after they've bought the disk. I have no objection to DLC but it should be optional and less "in your face" like how the original Map Packs used to be.    … Expand

    Just a heads up, I can only talk about multyplayer and zombiemode. I don´t play battle royales^^´

    First things first, the performance:
    The game feels unfinished and kind of rushed on many different details, like for example low FPS through an old engine and general lazyness on the last developement steps. This shows in the following facts.
    I´ve also experienced a lot of crashes in my playtime, who are not caused by my setup. It got better through updates but I think it´s kind of emberassing to ship a game wthout propper finishing touches, for example Destiny 2 has awesome performance AND pretty graphics.
    Another problem is the latency on servers, which makes this game unplayable sometimes.
    This results in ragequits and deinstallations on the dayly basis and lowers the enjoyment of this game.

    Now for some gameplay stuff:
    Some specialists are straight up **** annoying and boring. It´s not fun to fight against a Prophet with a Sturm that stuns you and your whole team behind you, also his shockdrone ,which is on their way to **** yo´ day, makes his kit broken and annyoing to deal with.
    In my oppinion the game would be better off without all of this specialist crap that has been in the recent games, because it would add a plain field for fights and wouldn´t give anyone advantages.
    This would make it more fun and less frustrating.
    So for the specialist stuff, I think it´s influencing the game in a bad way that is going to make this game more boring over time.

    It´s also emberassing that we´re getting less and less vanilla weapons every year, for example:
    In BO4 are FIVE assault rifles in the vanilla game
    But in BO2 there are NINE assault rifles.
    Do you see the difference and the obvious moneygrab?
    They already added another rifle, but it´s only obtainable after you´ve completed the whole seasonal pass. And yes, it´s 200 ranks you have to grind through, which is not possible for people who have a job and play other games. At this point you can just spend a dollar to climb up a rank, which is just sad.
    BUT WAIT, THERE`S MORE!
    Yes, they also have another controversy on their hand.
    They want you to pay one dollar for a red dot. A red dot...
    They reduced the ammount of content for year after year and on the other hand, put more and more behind paywalls and unreasonably high grinds.
    All in all I think it´s lame and emberassing to add such a bad payment system for weapons and cosmetics, and they should probably take a look at WWII´s contract system which was a lot more fun, rewarding and fair.

    Now let´s get to the maps. I like a lot of the maps, and also some of the older ones. But in my oppinion there are too many maps that are just copied and pasted from other titles and too less new ones.
    But I like the flow of the new maps, whilst too many of them just have the three lane system.
    The mapdesign is nice, I like for example seaside with tight corridors and sniper spots, which lead to qcq and also long range combat.
    All in all I would have liked more new vanilla maps, but the design and setup is nice. The only thing that ruins it is just performance and gameplay.

    In my oppinion the multyplayer is a mess at it´s current state and even FlexTape can´t fix it.
    But maybe more monetisation will help the cause :p

    Let´s get to the zombiemode.
    I can´t say a whole lot of bad things about the zombie mode, mainly because I enjoy it more than the multiplayer.
    The maps have a nice setting, from a colloseum in Rome, to the disaster that happened on the Titanic and back to Alcatraz. There are always reasons to play at least one of the maps, even if it´s just to enjoy the szenery or to get into the high rounds.
    I also enjoy the easteregg steps which are challenging and require a lot of planning and knowledge of the map.

    The new perk system adds a new experience in every game, beacuse you can try new setups and are not stuck on the basic four perks from prevoius titles in the series.

    All in all the zombie mode is enjoyable and a lot of fun.

    Now for the final judgement.
    I can´t recommend this game at it´s current state. The lack of story, bad performance, horrible monetisation and annyoing multiplayer can´t be saved by the zombiemode and isn´t worth the sixty bucks they´re trying to pull out of your pockets.
    I would also go as far to say that CoD is on a low and can´t be resurrected with it´s current state of monetisation.

    The goal was achieved, the series was destroyed. I played this game because of the single. I've been playing shooters for 15 years. In network modes, they always kill me very quickly. I went to this game several times, I died 50 times, I committed 5 murders, now I don’t want to play it at all.

They should keep ambush on the PS4 console it's unfair to the gamers that work during the week to not even be able to play ambush before it gets taken off. It upsets me so much, I would love to be able to play ambush again. Please think about putting ambush back up on the PS4 platform. A lot of my friends are also disappointed, but I would much rather have quads ambush than solo ambush, please acknowledge me and my friends would love to be able to play this amazing game mode again.     Blackout is not a good replacement for the campaign. The multiplayer does not represent Call of Duty. The zombies was a downgrade from what we had in Black Ops 3! Visuals are fantastic plain and simple, and emblem/weapon customization is unexpectedly in-depth. Now these are about the only things they've gotten right.This game is just a damn travesty. I'll tell you why further down, but first off let me address the things they did right: Gunplay is predictably solid has been polished by nearly two decades of perfecting the Call of Duty formula. Visuals are fantastic plain and simple, and emblem/weapon customization is unexpectedly in-depth. Now these are about the only things they've gotten right. Hidden beneath all of the usual CoD-iness you'll find that the game is engineered in every way possible to nickel and dime players in the most atrocious methods possible. Let me address the most ridiculous thing they decided to do: Lock weapons behind lootboxes. These weapons are the S6 Stingray, the Peacekeeper, the Locus, and the Ballistic Knife. This has to be the most scummy thing I've ever seen happen in a game. The usual progression system has been thrown through the weapon in favor of an EA-esque "Surprise Mechanics" style of locking content behind gambling. You could pour in hundreds of dollars into these "reserve crates" and get naught for your efforts, so imagine how nonsensical it is for them to lock behind any amount of content behind an in game purchase. I've just recently played a game against someone that was lucky enough to be graced with a ballistic knife and it was ridiculous. A melee weapon that has the capabilities of shooting an insta-killing projectile. That's the type of stuff Activision is bribing their playerbase with. The incentive for giving in to Treyarch's demands and acquiescing any number of reserve crates through real money is complete unhindered access to weapons that only the rich or lucky 1% could ever get their hands on. This represents issues on a much deeper scale than previously thought possible. Not to mention how O' Generous Treyarch has decided to "bless" us with an in-game event where we get free access to DLC maps for a whopping whole two days. Why thank ye kind masters, this bountiful feast would surely excuse the shoveling of unwanted lootboxes down every single one of our loyal throats, so please keep on pouring! Surely one of the loyal peasantry would get the opportunity to have been bequeathed the god-tier S6 Stingray by our almighty overlords before they **** US AND TAKE OUR WALLETS. This goddamn behavior is INEXCUSABLE. What has possessed these fools to lock every ounce of content behind paywalls? There's no singleplayer campaign, blackout is a damn joke, zombies might be fun for those that like horde shooters, maps that would've otherwise been added to the base game in any other situation are sold to us in "packs" and wagged in front of us like a freaking chewtoy, and finally they decide to shove weapons into slot machines to incentivize gambling. What a damn joke this was, unfortunately I already bought the game or else I'd have never touched thus franchise with ten foot rod. Heed my words naive adventurer, stay as far away from this unholy cesspool of a game if you can help it. You will only end up $30-60 lighter and will only feed this damn demon's bottomless greed. Do not encourage these anti-consumer practices and do not fall prey to Activision's schemes.… Expand

    i have 1800 hr play time on BO2 alone and this game is horrible.
    They filled it with micro transactions after 6 months and game is now pay2win.

    I honestly don't have anything positive to say about this game. And the list of negatives is endless.

    In all my years of gaming I have never had to endure such an abhorrent, cheap, money-grabbing, lazily made game than Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4.     B04 is not a good game for a lot of reasons. The main reason is you can tell the creators don't care about the community but more about money. For example this is the only game where half the time my friends can't even join me from some random bug. This is the only game my xbox randomly crashes on. It's also obvious that they only want money considering the loot box system is completely **** You are not going to get a gun you want unless you get a bribe or a crate. And wouldn't you know it you have to buy crates. It wouldn't be much of a problem if it weren't for the most overpowered weapons in the game were only able to be gotten in the crate. For examples of the guns: Stingray, Daemon, and ballistic knife. You can also tell that they were lazy by all of the maps. Half of them were just reused. You could also tell the laziness because they completely took out the campaign. Just why. And then you got blackout. You could tell the company was just going to try with this because fortnite was popular at the time. Yet it sucked. Like a lot. It's the only thing I can't really play in bo4. Half the time when I'm playing I just get ran over. When you got to league play half the guns have been removed. That's how you know the game is completely unbalanced. This is not a complete list of things wrong with the game but I just wanted to give an idea. But if you're thinking about buying the game just don't. I wasted my money on it and am just unhappy. Black ops 4 is a complete pay to win mess, and treyarch and activision are complacent in this garbage. Save your money, do NOT buy this game.     They had 3 decent games, after the perfect execution of Black Ops 3. They came up with this **** Microtransactions aren’t the worst part they don’t offer nothing interesting.     So disappointed. I love Black Ops especially the solo play throughs. Now I can't do that in this one. I'm glad I didn't waste my money on it and I borrowed it from a friend. Now I can tell them they wasted their money on it since they haven't played it yet. No games fun without a solo playthrough

A multiplayer mode that took core aspects of COD gameplay and threw it into the trash in favor of MORE Specialists and other B.S. Campaign was replaced with "Blackout", a battle royale mode which "does it only the way Black Ops can". Blackout was nothing more than Fortnite and PUBG with a Call of Duty skin (and with graphics that would've been bad on a PlayStation 2). Zombies is still the best gamemode (it was the best in BO3 as well), but even then it's a severe downgrade. As much as I enjoy playing maps like "IX" and "Blood of the Dead", it doesn't make up for the outright atrocities of "Voyage of Despair" and "Dead of the Night", and the fact that the final two Aether maps EVER were nothing more than remakes of "Nuketown" and "Call of the Dead" with no CGI cutscenes was insulting to the Zombies community.

    Do not buy this game. Do not even get it when it's free. Treyarch should have to pay YOU to play this trainwreck. It's very clear that the devs gave up on Black Ops 4 very early in its life cycle. And if the devs don't care about the game, then why should us players care about it?    … Expand

    Battle royale: makes no fun even whith friends
    multiplayer: gun feeling is good, but to many dlc weapons are way stronger than they shoud be,
    fortuitously they can get bought for 24 eros per weapon (ca. 70 hours game time).
    the only half good thing is the zombie mode, but it feels kinda slow to me.
    i hope someone sees this before he buys this game forr 70 eros and overthinks his decidion of buying the game( i boutht it unsed for 9 eros)

I wouldn't say it is the best Call of Duty Black Ops, because black ops 2 will forever be the best Call of Duty ever. Although black ops 4 is up there, it's just not quite there. I want to start off with the bad things about the game that i don’t like or things that i would change. First I am very disappointed that there is no campaign, that was something I looked forward to in every single call of duty and for it to not be in this one I was a little upset. I am also not a very big fan of the weapons in the game, I prefer the weapons from like black ops 2 and 3 especially the snipers from those games. Other than those small things I do really enjoy the game and I would recommend it to everyone that likes playing video games, and i'm going to tell you why. First thing is I absolutely love the maps in the game, they all have the main spot where all the action is and I love that and think it's great to get a lot of kills. Next thing I want to say is I absolutely love how there is a battle royale mode in the game. I think this is perfect for the game because everyone loves fortnite and want a game like that and they did a great job putting that in the game and making it so fun to play. Another thing I really enjoy about the game is how they have cool reactive camos, and I'm so happy that they added the weapon accessories and the death effects. For the accessories you can win these little things that hang off the side of your gun from the black market and they have all sorts of things to put on there. I think they did a great job with adding the thing where whenever you level up you get a reward, so it is kind of like the battle pass from fortnite and there are some good rewards you can get too. Now there are a couple reasons why i would recommend this game to almost everyone that plays video games, and the first being it's simple and easy to play. My 5 year old sister can pick up the controller and play the game. It's just too easy, I don't understand how some people are bad at the game. All you have to do is point the gun and shoot, not that hard. Another reason I think everyone should get this game is because if you don't like the multiplayer version then you have other options, zombies and the battle royale version. I play zombies almost everyday and let me tell you it is so fun and I could sit there all day and play the game. You could also play local multiplayer which means that you are playing against bots and not real people so that is fun to just mess around and kill a bunch of bots. Overall I think it is a great game and I would recommend it to everyone that likes shooting games. I think it is a great game for all ages. I also think that the battle royale version is better than fortnite.… Expand

    My first cod was mw4, and i fell in love with it: interesting company, pleasant gameplay and a lot of guns. And bocw is nothing of these: very short company, disbalanced gameplay (terrible maps and almost zero weapon damage) and a few guns even after season update. I really regret about buying this game (can i call THIS game?) and wasting my time trying to get enjoyment

    This is not even a Call of Duty game, scrapping off the campaign for a Fortnite/Overwatch/R6 copy-paste, the gameplay is awful, the nerf guns are stupid, the graphics look like Super Readers kids TV show, and yet, Zombies is a failure, Fortunately I haven't gotten the chance to play it and I like to keep it that way, Broken piece of filth you call a Call of Duty game.     It’s not that I can’t respect it — it seems to offer decent value in that it’s essentially three different types of shooter in one package, but aside from the new Blackout mode, I’ve had significantly better experiences from many of its competitors. And honestly, Blackout’s main competition is a free-to-play game. It may be better than Fortnite in my opinion, but sixty dollars better? I’m not entirely convinced about that, and without a decent singleplayer campaign attached, it’s a pretty hard sell for anyone who isn’t already a fan.

    Despite its generic title Black Ops IV feels like a fresh start for Call of Duty. The multiplayer and the zombie mode is very much the same as always, but with Blackout, Treyarch takes everything that is good with Player Unknown's Battleground and makes it better.
