Nov 2, 2018Actually it’s not a wonderful game. However you can’t stop play it again and again. You can enjoy this world, and find some special view to this world. Don’t lose your mind and find the truth.

Oct 30, 2018Very atmospheric game. For lovers of creativity Lovecraft the most it. The graphics are not at an ideal level, but for me this is not the main thing.
-
Oct 30, 2018If you like an atmospheric game and a fan of Lovecraft you should definitely get this, for those not obsessed with the best graphics and solid gameplay, worth a buy and try!

Jun 13, 2021Call of Cthulhu is a prefect example of a game that is more than the sum of its parts. It is obvious that the game did not have a huge budget, people move awkwardly, every second npc shares the same face, and there are too many find this than do that puzzles.
The story on the other hand really sucks you in and for me at least, that is more than worth the cost of admission. -

May 30, 2021It is a narrative game and as such it works excellently. Its main mechanics include exploration, puzzle solving and a slight survival horror and RPG component. If you like Lovecraft's work, you will enjoy this game, the setting is quite good in that respect. However, there are superior games in the survival horror genre. 'Soma' or 'Alien: Isolation' surpass it.

Aug 5, 2023As a Lovecraft fan, who enjoys the mythos, I loved this game. Dark, moody, graphics were good and the story was good too. Thoroughly recommended.

Sep 20, 2021The environments shown in the game are very high in quality and fit the tone, and fine voice acting, the game still ends up feeling mediocre due to the stiff character animations, bad lip-sync, and most importantly: the story falling apart near the end and not having a satisfying conclusion, mainly as a result of the lack of consequences to your 'choices' earlier in the game.

Apr 29, 2019Call of Cthulhu’s strange and eerie visuals somewhat succeed in recreating the atmosphere of Cthulhu mythology. However, instead of contributing to the story, stats such as Sanity feel like they deny the player’s trial-and-error. From shooting to stealth segments, the wide array of different systems needed more polish as well.

Dec 3, 2018At best, this is just a very gimmicky adventure game. Each level having its own thing is a bit refreshing from always having to pixel-hunt for objects, tying simplistic stats into the mix adds some planning, and the way this title forces players to commit to their actions is nice. Sadly, as the journey reaches its half-way point, the story unravels in a very unsatisfying manner. Characters are built up and don't get the proper pay-off, while some disappear entirely.

Nov 16, 2018Call of Cthulhu is not a horror game as such, It’s a title filled up with suspense, amusing moments, even surrealism is in there, which, to be honest, is the most entertaining part. Also there are moments in which you don’t know what are you doing playing this game while you could be doing anything else. Lovecraft’s universe is placed in a game that cannot reach the immensity of Lovecraft’s imagery. And It ends up being a heap of circumstances and mechanics so positive as others that we should left behind in the past.
