    Even though im not a fan of puzzle-quests i found this story pretty intriguing. Much because of the lovingly told story which reminded me of the feeling you got as a child when absorbed by a good story. If this team made a sequel i would totally buy it in an hunt of getting that nice fuzzy feeling again.

    This is a great puzzle-platformer with a love-it-or-hate-it control scheme. The story is simplistic, and the dialogue is in a sort of fictional foreign language. Yet it's very easy to follow the plot, which progresses and actually becomes more and more fascinating.

    The biggest strength of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is the very well realised world it is set in. It captures a sense of real wonderment and intrigue which is no easy feat. Another positive is how it captures the strong brotherly bond between the two main characters by having the player control the pair of them at the same time.     I m a little bit torn on this game. The visual presentation and atmosphere is great. I love the adventure of the sons. The controls can be a little confusing at times because the left side of your controller will be used for one brother and the right side for the other. Although there is not much of a hazzle or dying in this game, so it wont be much of a deal.

    The puzzles are nice and not overcomplicated. Most of the time you can discover a secret or two alongside the road which can be acquired afterwards via chapter selection also. At first I thought of this being a cute relaxing game mostly for a younger audience, but I have to revise this. The sub tone of this game has a dramatic note and at some point a dark theme where you can for example rescue someone from hanging themselves. Also you wander through a forest within which hung people are displayed. This irritated me alot because the rest of the game was also suited for under aged youngsters.

    The playtime is pretty thin. I guess when you are used to controllers and go straight it ll turn to be a 3-5hr journey. There is no real dialog in this game, its some sort of mumbling and pointing to the solutions.

    After all I still suggest to grab this game although I d strongly advise to go for a deal of 9.99 or less because of the short playtime and the overall thin content. Still the atmospheric and lovely art is making this a worthwhile a heart breaking trip that you dont want to miss.    … Expand

    A great little game with a touching story. To me it seems like a perfect candidate for a Game With Gold/ Ps Plus game. It is also quite easy to get all the achievements which is always a bonus. The controls are the worst part of the game, all over the place at times.

    Got this 2nd hand after getting board with Witcher 3 (and not being able to face more RPG laziness with Fallout 4). This reminds me of ICO in style and gameplay, but it is so much more. Beautifully told (story and language), funny in places (invisible yeti statues) and clever in others (2 person gliding, crossbow giants).     I give a 10, it isn't the best game ever but within it's genre it is the best I have played. Journey and Flower being rated above this is beyond me, I haven't played Rime yet to compare. It is like both of these games except for a number of things: It isn't boring, the game looks nicer, sounds nicer, story more emotional, slightly longer, more fun, easy controls and camera. Yes the camera is awkward every blue moon but nothing that spoils it. It is a short game but considering God of War is 30 hours, I got bored after 1, or 2 hours and traded it in. From bad camera to annoying controls and cringy voice acting, it cost me about £22.50 an hour for 2 boring hours. This Brothers game lasted 3-4 hours, was very satisfying and free with a trial of PSNow. There was something odd and I don't know if it is just the version I played but the language was all foreign without subs. This didn't affect the game as dialogue was very little and obvious what was being said but it seemed weird having no translation at all. It was nice to meet friendly beasts and creatures along with the bad ones, scenery was fantastic, especially towards the end. It is a great concept having one half of the controler per character. I thought the whole control system was incredibly simple but clever and still engaging. Puzzles are simple and help keep the game moving at a steady pace making a great balance between story and cut scenes and gameplay. Just a great game worth your time and money.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A tragic story of two brothers on a journey through a gorgeous and epic world. Giants and semi-familiar creatures are around, as well as some mythical figures. The world is beautiful, even in the linear glimpses I got to see. The story has a twist, who knew the older brother would die while the father lived? It makes this a wonderful coming of age story, with a powerful ending of the younger brother being the strong one as the father breaks down.

    Unfortunately the gameplay is largely boring. While the scenes are beautiful, the game felt long in the tooth despite it being a 2-4 hour game. Yikes.

    The puzzles are kept simple, I enjoyed that. I enjoyed the story. I enjoyed the world. I enjoyed the controls and the concept. It's a great game plagued by poor pacing. I recommend this game, but only less than $10.    … Expand

    Honestly one of the best games I've ever played.
    Very short, but longer would be pointless and would weaken the connection you build with the characters, which is absolutely central to the experience.

    Interesting idea and concept. Even though there is no words in the game you can still get attached to these characters. And what a unique way to play the game with both joysticks. Also the length was great and it didn't overstay its welcome.

    The story is great, it will take you to emotional heights. It is about family, responsibility, love, loss, and most importantly - growing up. It brilliantly illustrates how the age difference among siblings can create qualities that complement each other, both at a physical and mental level. The older brother is stronger, knows how to swim, while the younger can pass through small gaps. The older brings maturity while the younger brings joy. It's fantastic really.

    The graphic is simplistic and cartoonish, which can be taken as a stylistic choice. Regardless, I find it beautiful. There are some great visuals that will surely amaze. The language is meaningless, like in The Sims. Yet they say enough with body language. It's often funny and entertaining.

    There are puzzles but they are really easy in my opinion. It's mostly about how you use the two of them together in different situations. The playthrough is very short. It took me about 2-3 hours. I'm giving it a 9 out of 10 only because of the length and difficulty. But I suppose if you face controlling issues then it may seem otherwise.    … Expand

    + gute Geschichte, die man obwohl man kein Wort von den Charakteren versteht gut nachvollziehen kann
    + die Steuerung ist etwas "Neues"
    + die Musik ist wirklich atmosphärisch
    + trotz der nicht aktuellen Grafik werden fantastische Bilder gezaubert
    + viel Abwechslung dank nach und nach neuer Gameplay-Mechaniken

    For everything that this game is, and everything this game does, I can offer nothing but the highest praise. It's a short game, but is soaked in glorious grandeur from the controls to the music. The level design itself is not complicated but having to re-think how you hold and play with a controller is easily the most unique game mechanic I've experienced recently.     Puzzle game with no dialog, and yet, it got very emotional. It's probably my favorite game of all time. It's only 3 hours long, and is on sale all the time. Totally worth it.

    A touching narrative that will melt your heart. While textures vary in quality to the point where they were distracting and confusing controls that I got the hang of right when the game ended, this tale of two brothers makes these issues forgivable. Some small puzzles do get repetitive, but nonetheless a great game.

    that best I have played in an indie game. I had no idea when I bought it what it is and by whom the scenario is basically written. now I know everything. I liked the music the picture the gameplay the puzzles the plot and generally the original way you handle the 2 characters. game that any lover of the genre must have played.

    A beautiful story of a journey into a fairy land with lots of fun. Played in 2021 and enjoyed a lot. Lots of hidden details telling side stories and missed most of them in the first run...

    Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is such a beautiful and magical tapestry of story weaving. The minimalistic design told through imagery, ambiance and music come together to create a gem of an experience. Simply a masterpiece.

    This game was such a pleasant surprise! The story is so simple, so beautiful and sad. Gameplay is really interesting. You control two brothers at the same time on their quest to find a cure for their ill father. If you like games like "Journey" and short adventures and you don't need brutal animation and graphics, this is indeed a little gem of a game you should try.

    A surprisingly fun game that has a lot of heart and is very underrated. Control scheme is very simple (in a similar vain to Overcooked). Level design is gorgeous and beautiful. Although this game is set in a mythical place, the story is very real and grounded. You can really feel the brotherly bond that the two main characters share despite there is no legible dialogue. An absolute gem of a game.

    Brothers - a Tale of Two Sons, PS4 version è una bella storia triste di legami e perdite. L' amore fraterno nel dolore e nella speranza. Balla la grafica e il design dei Troll, cascate, montagne, foreste, cimiteri e fuochi accesi. C'è tutto ed è molto godibile e semplice come leggere una Fiaba. Consigliato a chi ama la natura e le storie in stile fiabesco.

    It's still and enjoyable and original game, although this remake should be considered only by those who haven't already played the original, as the extra content is really thin.
