    Blacksad: Under the Skin is a game that detective fans will like with a new case that could be taken from the original comics, but the technical problems weigh too much on the final result and we will see if in the future they can be solved.

    In terms of narration and atmosphere, Blacksad: Under the Skin is true to the comic album series. However, problems concerning some interactive components and the presence of bugs and glitches can’t be ignored.

    Blacksad: Under The Skin is a specific case where an overall good game gets totally ruined by the appalling technical side of things. Go for the PC version as it shows a much better finish.

    Even if you’re not familiar with Blacksad’s previous adventures, fans of games like L.A. Noire or any of the Telltale adventures will find something to like about Blacksad: Under the Skin. It’s a real shame, then, that the game is so buggy on release. Numerous technical issues really spoil what would otherwise be a very entertaining whodunit.

    The release of this game was a complete mess (crashes, unobtainable trophies, sound issues, corrupted saves,..) and I can fully understand theThe release of this game was a complete mess (crashes, unobtainable trophies, sound issues, corrupted saves,..) and I can fully understand the negative reviews back then.
    Thanks to the continuous patches the game is currently playable and all critical issues are solved, version 1.06 in Ps4.
    Nevertheless the game is still very poor technically showing one of the worse uses of the unity engine with some PS1 textures and having a "Grim fandango" tank control.
    On the other side if you like film Noir and an adult compelling story that will keep you interested till the end this game is a must.
    Beside the technical issues the game adapts very well the awarded Spanish comic into the video game language with and incredible cinematography. It has also a perfectly fitting jazz OST.
    If you like graphic adventures in general or the Telltale games, give it a try, with it's current price this game will not disappoint you.    … Full Review »
