    The release of this game was a complete mess (crashes, unobtainable trophies, sound issues, corrupted saves,..) and I can fully understand the negative reviews back then.
    Thanks to the continuous patches the game is currently playable and all critical issues are solved, version 1.06 in Ps4.
    Nevertheless the game is still very poor technically showing one of the worse uses of the unity    The release of this game was a complete mess (crashes, unobtainable trophies, sound issues, corrupted saves,..) and I can fully understand the negative reviews back then.

    Nevertheless the game is still very poor technically showing one of the worse uses of the unity engine with some PS1 textures and having a "Grim fandango" tank control.
    On the other side if you like film Noir and an adult compelling story that will keep you interested till the end this game is a must.
    Beside the technical issues the game adapts very well the awarded Spanish comic into the video game language with and incredible cinematography. It has also a perfectly fitting jazz OST.
    If you like graphic adventures in general or the Telltale games, give it a try, with it's current price this game will not disappoint you.    … Expand

    I'm very fan of Blacksad and I was waiting with a lot of hype this game, and the experience hasn't disappointed because the plot and characters are up to the task, but only i recommend this game if you are fan of Blacksad, because in the tecnic aspect is a little deficient and that can generate a bad experience with this game.

    Long loading times, I heard it was worse before the patches but in 2022 there a still quite some performance issues.
    The concept of the game is interesting though

    I will start with the only good things that this game has (in my opinion):
    Plot: a black novel is always very entertaining. Nice characters too
    BSO: the best thing in the game. Negative aspects: A lot of bugs Problems with the controls: sometimes it is very complicated to face and get the x symbol to The volume goes up and down without you pushing any buttons. The objects you want    I will start with the only good things that this game has (in my opinion):

    Problems aside though Blacksad: Under the Skin is an interesting tale of murder and corruption that presents in one of the best takes on the adventure game formula-multiple endings, choices that really matter, and a cast of characters that are extremely engaging. I never felt like the story was coming out of left field with its ideas, and was shocked when I started figuring out what was happening. I love this game and if the Life Is Strange or one of the many Telltale series has ever been enjoyable, I think there’s a lot of enjoy in Blacksad.

    It’s got passion but is far from having all the answers. We can’t recommend what we played but hope that a patch has addressed the bugs obscuring its bright ideas. [Issue#170, p.90]

    Blacksad: Under The Skin is a specific case where an overall good game gets totally ruined by the appalling technical side of things. Go for the PC version as it shows a much better finish.
