    Extreme load times for entering MP maps, feels all around unpolished, many bugs found in less than 15 hours of playtime. Extreme load times alone kills the multiplayer experience IMHO.

Who comes up with this stuff? Why not just write the narrative that the cabin was empty, or that she still had a pistol?    … Expand

    What a joke of a videogame. I didn't expect anything from EA after their other relatively-recent titles, but it's as if they're TRYING to destroy what little good-will they have left with their original fanbase.

    Feels like the next installment of Call Of Duty than a Battlefield series game. Devs actively promote close quarter combat overall with design elements that are uncharacteristically geared towards chaos and punish users who want to coordinate and plan with teammates. If it wasn't for how beautiful some of these maps were I would give it a zero.

    As a battlefield fanboy and premium member on multiple games and platforms i am ashamed i bought this political garbage deluxe edition. The only reason i got the deluxe edition was so a chick wasn't on the opening screen, well they screwed me there.     Disrespectful trash. It is truly mind boggling how EA could release this game and not expect the immediate backlash. I've given them too many chances, I won't be supporting them in the future and I hope to see them either learn from this or more likely go under.

    I have nothing positive to say about a game that's made by people that actively insult their fanbase for pointing out that they're lying about historical events. The game is pure trash anyway. Buy it if you want to live in a fantasy world. For those looking for a good game that's historically accurate, this is NOT it!

    Against all the negative reviews, I purchased this game anyway. I like the Battlefield series, but this one is the worst so far. It really feels like DICE and EA are just phoning it in with this installment. I historically play Battlefield games first for the single-player campaign and then multiplayer.

    This campaign is nearly broken. It is riddled with texture pop-in, assets clipping down straight through the floor and disappearing, and many other graphical glitches. The cutscenes regularly freeze entirely for 10 seconds or so, making me fear that the game has completely crashed. I come to expect these things with PC games, but for a console release from a "AAA" developer and publisher this is inexcusable.

    In addition to the graphical issues, the enemy AI is fundamentally broken. Enemies regularly stand facing away from me and do not even respond when shot, seemingly stuck in their animation. At other times an attacking enemy will for no reason simply stop, turn around and begin running in another direction shooting at imaginary other players who aren't even there.

    Lastly, the "artistic" license that DICE has taken with this "historical" shooter. I have always been very interested in WWII history and have watched nearly every documentary on the time period. It was a turning point in the way the countries of the world see each other, a time of great innovation and technological achievement, and above all else a time when nearly every free person in the world joined in a fight against a true evil. This evil had a name, and a face. The Nazi party, led by Adolph Hitler, nearly destroyed the world. And yet, in this "historical" shooter about world war II, the word "Nazi", the iconography of the Nazi party (i.e. swastikas, eagles, images of "Der Fuhror", etc...) are completely absent from the game, presumably not to trigger anyone who is uncomfortable with those kinds of things. Pandering to this audience does nothing to benefit our society, and censoring history, even in forms of entertainment, for the sake of someone's emotions is just silly.

    Not to mention the "creative" license that gives credit to the sabotage of a German heavy water storage facility to a fictional pair of women, while not even acknowledging the real men who died IN REAL LIFE making sure that Nazi Germany never developed a nuclear weapon.

    With all these issues, the game is by far the most disappointing Battlefield game I have ever played, and based on this experience I will definitely not be purchasing the next installment, if there is one.    … Expand

    I played this game quite a few times with a friend as I wanted a new shooter to replace my usual COD purchase which I did not make due to no campaign and BOP. I was unsure about going anywhere near a game made by EA/DICE after the two terrible efforts with Battlefront. But I need a shooter as Battlefront 2 has been binned and I am getting bored with COD WW2.     I have played Every Battlefield game in the franchise and this would have to be hands down the worst game in the series. Same old Battlefield with only slight cosmetic changes and is a bug haven. Poor old dice struggled for ideas so much they had to use a Battle Royal mode to try and pull them out of the grief. All in all if you want to spend money for a map update and slight changes ifI have played Every Battlefield game in the franchise and this would have to be hands down the worst game in the series. Since launch, the game has suffered problems in virtually all departments, especially the sound, movement, and in-game visibility. Despite updates to address all these problems, they still persist.

    The game's lack of commercial success coupled with the loss of revenue due to the lack of a premium pass is worrisome for the future of this game and the Battlefield series as a whole. I fear because of these two reasons there will be less incentive on EA/Dice's part to see this game through to its conclusion. It already feels as though they've started to give up on it just months after release by pushing out generic updates that rarely add anything noteworthy, and in some cases even take the game back two steps.

    The maps are some of the most unremarkable I recall in the Battlefield series and they start to feel stale very quickly as a consequence. The only ones that I like are Devastation, Rotterdam and Arras. The others fall between mediocre and outright appalling.

    I reached rank 50 and unlocked pretty much everything I wanted after just 24 hours of playtime. That is not what I consider a good progression system if I ever saw one. Why not add more ranks, more skins, more costumes instead of wasting development time and budget on game modes that nobody plays or cares about, Dice? Better still, add more maps, factions and make this game feel like a WWII game, because it feels nothing of the sort at present. You hardly ever listen to what the fans want, Dice, and that's your biggest problem. The community says they want one thing and you give them the polar opposite. They want the core game fixed, not crappy game modes like squad CQ. Papering over the cracks by adding game modes like this does nothing to address the glaring problems your game has. Fix the important stuff and add the less important stuff later.

    The one positive I can give this game is that I find its gunplay more solid in comparison to a predecessor like BF1, but that isn't enough to save it. It is just too flawed with too many bugs, too many people lying prone with MMGs. Nobody moves around in this game. It is the campiest Battlefield game I have ever played, and Dice is partly to blame for designing their game in a way that encourages camping.

    I have hardly scratched the surface of everything I could list that I don't like about this game, but I will leave it there. in conclusion, I can't recommend this game as it currently stands. I wish I could but I can't.    … Expand

Maps are not that good, weapons are just ok. TTD is still messed up. As of now i have played BF V for about 100h and I am not going to continue for much longer. It is just not satisfying.     I was about to buy BFV, as price has dropped by 50 percent and there has been a few patches,
    From what I've read from the 500 USER reviews, this is a pile **** still I have stopped and will never preorder an EA game again and stick to USER ratings well after the game is released. If you want a battlefield game to play you are best going back to a previous entry which will be more or less the same experience but complete and cheaper.

    The single player story sections are ok, if you have played battlefield 1's story then it is basically that but worse and much more forgettable. I wont go into more detail to avoid spoilers.

    4/10- if you are wanting a new battlefield to scratch that itch, buy an old one.    … Expand

Overall though, this game punishes you for playing it. I almost always end up finishing gaming sessions after playing this feeling frustrated and angry at the game (not at other players). That does not happen to me in other games. Battlefield 5 is so broken it is not worth playing. It might be worth playing 6 months from now when they finish the base game. at that time I will play it and may change this review, but right now this game does not work how developers or players want it to work.… Expand

    The "live service" is very slow and when they do happen, weapons are there for a limited time. Did anyone really complain about how weapons unlocked via challenges that you complete when you can? This system can be even more frustrating especially when the tracker doesn't measure correctly leaving me frustrated when I just got done doing a challenge and THE TRACKER NOT COUNTING IT! Also I know the rest of the factions are coming but it gets boring having to play as only British and the Germans for this long on the same maps. I would honestly like a night version of some of these maps to add variety.

    I did rate this game a 1 at first because it actually functioned but now its just utter trash. There are sniping hackers shooting through walls across the map, interaction buttons are so picky that do more harm than good. The Audio for soldiers are absolutely disgusting (they sound like chickens or car alarms). This is an absolute disgrace to the Battlefield franchise

Идиотская механика, идиотские игровые решения, раздражающие звуки(например звук когда умераешь) Бесит все. А ведь я пытался долго и упорно в это заставить себя играть. Кастомизация просто бред, Оружие... я не хочу из этого стрелять, все время ищешь что то лучше, но нету. БФ1 кажется сильно современнее, хотя там первая мировая.     The new update adds so much more fun. Also the weapons are fun to use and veichels feel balanced. My only problem is the war stories aren't as good as battlefield 1

    The graphics, sound design and atmosphere are excellent. However, the gunplay wasn't as tight as Battlefield 1. The loading times are too long and the game although excellent overall lacks that novelty factor.

    I have over 120 hours poured into this game and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s hot garbage. The team balancing is abysmal, the tanks and planes are extremely over powered, and the lack of support and continuous updates by EA and Dice have been a recipe for disaster. Don’t buy this garbage game. It has the worst balancing I’ve ever seen in an FPS game. The game is full of glitches.

    Coming from someone that has played ALL the Battlefield games up until 4, this along with titles such as (BF 1, BF Hardline) was added to my blacklist of not being a real Battlefield game. Those who are long-time players know what I mean.

    Its frustrating, a meatgrinder. Most of the time you are dead. Bombers are extreme Powerfull. Time to kill is too short. 2 of 8 maps are good. Dice did a very bad Job. Ich would give this **** peace of software back, if i could.

    Then theres the store, which while it doesn't include real money element at the minute (obv to avoid neg reviews by game critics at launch) it is clear that they will be there, and as egregious as expected. With the "cosmetic" items currently available with in-game points taking a stupid amount of time to grind for. I've been playing since early access and have just 7500c which is not enough to buy anything bar some face paint. Especially bad when considering the same in-game credits are used for upgrading/progressing vehicles and weapons. It's pretty obvious that the inclusion of different genders/ethnicities for character customization is nothing more than fuel for the cosmetic store, not some noble steps toward "progressiveness".

    The single player is bad. Intolerable writing, forgettable characters and tone deaf Michael Bay style nonsense, with no grounding in historical events. The premise of "Rich untold stories" is laughable, especially when it becomes apparent that they're just stuffed into future conquest maps with some objectives dotted about, that have been held back for the first free "DLC" I'm sure. There are only 3 missions (one is locked until the 4th) Ai is dumb and its just not fun to play, especially on harder difficulties.

    The list goes on and on...

I have nothing against the inclusion of women if it fits history but instead the game molds history to have SJW propaganda crammed in. A spit in the face to the soldiers that actually fought during WW2 from the only company that seems to win “worst company of the year” with ease.

    P.S. they were historically accurate with the ethnicity of the soldiers on both sides but somehow abandon this idea with gender.     im gonna be super honest basicaly to play this game super well u have to be rich or sponsored by nvidia and have a 2500 euro computer we are probably more than 5000 having issues with performance we have under 60 fps while we have gtx 1060 1070 1080 and good cpu overall

Fighter air to air action is tedious and incredibly slanted to whomever manages to get behind the enemy, and many other glitches, flaws, idiotic programming choices and poor execution.
    This is clearly an unfinished game of below average quality, as evidenced by current 50% off sale, that was clearly rushed out to publication; 1 out of 10 with single word review of CRAP.    … Expand

Самый главный минус - это баги, они везде. Даже перечислять нет смысла. Купил за 4,5к предзаказ - дебил. Советую подождать полгода, чтобы вышли патчи, дополнения и тд. Пока что бегайте в BF1, BF4 или BattleFront. Сейчас игра говно. Всего доброго!… Expand

    A god-awful experience, there are no hardcore servers, delayed cosmetics, no hair choices (6 hair styles are negligible), a plethora of bugs and delays, graphical pop-in, compressed character models which make Mario 64 look great, horrible LOD on trees and grass, and no resemblance to WWII.     I am not critical to character customization that everyone else is, but they could have had gender select only apply to factions that actually had women in combat (ie: USSR, France, etc.)

    War Stories are Marxist-Revisionism (creative liberty) with 99% of total fiction.

    To omit the USSR from the entire game is Marxist-revisionism and blatant propaganda. Apparently 20mln+ deaths of the Soviet population don't amount for anything related to the end of the Nazi regime.

    P.S. - Since this game is also Russophobic, the USSR should have let the Nazis raze every country in Europe, and told them to march their way straight to Sweden.

I can't believe the shill ass reviewers gave this such a high score. don't let jack frags and level cap fool u. this game is terrible. broken bombers for the first-month ruin most of multiplayer and the campaign would be the worst game ever if that was it. total joke: run from this game.

    Totally historical, fully availible at the release, perfectly optimized.

    So many people started hating minorities in case of this game, c'me on, the are so many ways to prove that all people are equal, there's no reason to rewrite history to do so.

    - Animations are solid - Shooting mechanics are solid Cons: - Terrible visibility in every aspect of a game: you don't see enemy in front of a wall, you can't pick enemy in tons of garbage, it's hard to read deploy map to see what's going on, kill feed is disabled by default taking away crucial information - UX    Pros:
    - Graphics are quite good (although nothing exciting these days)

    Cons:
    - Terrible visibility in every aspect of a game: you don't see enemy in front of a wall, you can't pick enemy in tons of garbage, it's hard to read deploy map to see what's going on, kill feed is disabled by default taking away crucial information
    - UX is something DICE never heard of. Menus are not intuitive and take long to navigate. Configuring every class for both sides is a choir - battlelog was a lot better than this.
    - Bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs - I've had one team on server suddenly not be able to revive, flying tanks, objects hovering in the air, unkillable enemies, flickering textures
    - Maps are bad. And I mean really bad - they are beautiful but hardly playable - a lot of clutter with a lot of open spaces. Again: VISIBILITY is sacrificed for a fancy visuals. It's bad for multiplayer game. Look at: CS GO, Overwatch, Fortnite - those games have extremely good visibility and that makes them so good. In BF: V for most of the time you are wondering if it's some fancy map decoration or proned camper from other team.
    - "How did I die this time?" - Is a question you will be asking yourself a lot. Game gives no information what is going on, who made damage to you, where was he when it happened. Compared to COD killcam it's a joke (because it's nonexistent) and done probably to hide bad netcode (later on that) and growing problems with hackers (whoever plays bf1 knows what i'm talking about). You will die many times mostly not knowing how - just get used to it.
    - Informational chaos - game hides important information from you (hidden kill-feed, no info on how you got killed) but feeds a lot of totally not necessary information (something about your squad leader being changed, something about progression in achievement, something about community event will find its way to your display)
    - Lack of content - Maps that are here are not only bad but also scarce. I guess EA clearly goes for a long term Origin Premium model and wants to spoon-feed content so people stay interested and pay for subscription for as long as possible. There are not that many guns in game and there is no deep customization for them anymore.
    - Inconsistent netcode - Again you die in a milisecond. Again you can try to hit enemy that is further than high refresh bubble and nothing will happen. Guess that just comes with inventory.    … Expand

    I realize that games change and evolve and now single-player campaigns take a back (or non-existent) seat to the    Battlefield has always been my multiplayer shooter of choice.     I realize that games change and evolve and now single-player campaigns take a back (or non-existent) seat to the multiplayer, but the missions here feel like an afterthought. Also, no co-op?
    The core of the multiplayer action is still really great, which is why I scored it a five. I love the squad dynamics, and the sights and sounds are just amazing. Play this game with nice headphones on, it's a treat.
    However those graphics and sound are paired with abyssal load times. Multiple load screens go by, and often I think the game has frozen, that's how long they take. Even things that should be quick, like exiting a game, take way too long.
    On top of that, the matches take FOREeeeeeVER. Way too long. Even if I'm having a great game and on the winning side, it still gets old. For me, fifteen minutes tops is max length for a match, not forty plus. Often the battle will be lopsided, so you'll know you're going to lose for a solid ten minutes of play. I miss the mid-match events in Battlefield 1 to try and sway momentum back, like the zeppelin and armored train.
    Corners were cut all over; The character options are wafer thin. You're either a man or a supermodel, Brit or Nazi. I liked how they used various character options in Battlefield 1 depending on the theater of war, but here it's always Brits vs Nazis, and they use the same guns. Honestly it feels like a free-to-play game in terms of characters.
    Overall this sadly follows the trend of AAA games being rushed out to deadline even though they're half-baked. This isn't a $60 game, it should be $30, tops.    … Expand

    In many ways, Battlefield V feels like a big step backwards for the franchise. The campaign is boring and frustrating, multiplayer is unbalanced, and bugs keep popping up in every mode to ruin the experience. The fortification system is a good shakeup, but the good it brings is tempered by the cumbersome and murky Grand Operations. With some patches, balance changes and bug squashing, BFV could be a fantastic game, but at the moment, this soldier needs to go back to basic training.
