I picked this game up again and even though i wasnt very good the atmosphere of the game makes you feel like a soldier in the first world war. The operations game mode is a god send and i always find myself roleplaying as member of the central powers or the triple entente fighting for his country. One of the best games ive ever pkayed and its getting slept on

The best WW1 game on the market, EA really pulled it off with this one. Finally they didn't need to implement their awful, awful microtransactions, and made a game that was competent from the start. The war stories are phenomenal, the visuals are amazing, and the characters are well written. The multiplayer is fun, and Operations is just chaotic fun.

I got very bored with the modern and futuristic shooters, at least when it came to online gaming. For example I thought the modern BF games were tremendously boring on PS3 (on BF3 the maps were too big for so few players, for example). With that in mind, I was a bit skeptic to say the least when BF1 was announced. During the beta it was confirmed: I did not like BF. But I tried it at a friends place over new years and got hooked. This game is so well built.

The single player has a surprisingly good campaign that doesn't end in 4 hours. I don't know if the game is worth it solely for the solo campaign, but it's close. They have managed to capture the gritty feeling of World War I; BF1 does a very good job at presenting the hell this war was. The campaign is composed of several short stories that offer a variety of missions. Best of all: it doesn't feel like a tutorial for the multiplayer.

The multiplayer is also very good. Several different game modes, from the bombastic Operations (a more story based kind of game mode that could well take 1-1,5 hours to play) to the fast paced War Pigeons which is sort of a mobile "capture the hill", or a version of Capture the flag but without bases. It is super intense and an instant favorite. A round could take anything from 3 to 30 minutes. But it feels longer. The game is also well balanced for each class, so that none of the 4 classes are overpowered compared to each other. It's all down to how you decide to play. A positive consequence here is that if you get bored assaulting, simply switch class to something else and change your way of playing. It will add new dimensions to the game.

There are few minor mishaps that prevents this game from getting a 10, but those problems are quite easy to oversee.

In conclusion, this is by far the best Battlefield game I have ever played and the most fun I've had with the series since when 1942 was first released. I hope they stay away from modern warfare games for a while now and let this game brew a lot longer.

Battlefield 1 is a fantastic return to form for EA, having taken a different route away from modern and futuristic warfare and going back BEFORE the era that made this franchise a hit.

In all honesty though, for a game centered on World War I, the developers have taken the liberty of using a lot of (functional) automatic weapons and some high capacity semi-automatic rifles. That historical inaccuracy aside, the variety of weapons does keep the gameplay from being dull. It's probably better to think of this as a WW2 game with a WW1 skin on it.

Graphics and sound design are outstanding, as to be expected from DICE. More importantly, the game is not rife with bugs and glitches like the release of Battlefield 4 and Hardline. The game also has a surprisingly engrossing single-player campaign mode, where you see the point of view of old soldiers fighting in different theatres of the great war. What the campaign does right is give you an opportunity to operate the vehicles of the game, a lesson they've learned from BF4's lackluster campaign.

Operations Mode is a relatively simple, yet enticing multiplayer mode that plays somewhat like Rush, but on a much larger scale, operating on multiple maps with an overarching narrative. This change truly makes you feel like you're fighting as a part of something much bigger, allowing you to be absorbed by the conflict in hand.

A few things I do dislike are the certain weapons that take an enormous amount of grinding to unlock, like the Hellreigel SMG, one of the most effective weapons in the game. Certain areas of a map (ie. Argonne Forest) have very narrow choke points that essentially become a game of "Who has more grenades?" and can become a frustrating standstill. Remember Operation Locker and Metro in BF4? Yeah, it gets that bad.

Argonne Forest aside, the designs for the maps are outstanding. There's a natural feel and flow to the landscape, where some areas have a natural advantage and disadvantage without feeling broken or artificial. Hopefully DICE's future works in the franchise are influenced by BF1's map design.

BF1 is the most exciting shooter I've played in years. I've had a blast traversing the fields on foot, and especially in the war vehicles that were in use during the great war (war horse ftw!) Almost everything DICE did with this game is a step in the right direction, and I hope they continue down this path of excellence.

I love settings back to WW1. Battlefield was always brilliant in multiplayer, but campaigns was usually not that great (if it had it at all). Here I liked campaign very much and liked Idea to make it in 6 different settings and characters. Multiplayer take a lot from previous BF's with some nice aditions. Generally, best BF after Bad Company 2!

WOW! This game not only looks amazing but the gameplay is equally as impressive. For anyone who has been a fan of Battlfield in the past will certainly want to pick this title up. Personally I enjoy the more basic weapons and vehicle's as in past installments the guns and attachments got alittle out of hand.

The maps are large and immersive. I can't wait to see the maps in the future.

Apart from a few people taking advantage of hacks, the online community is very reliable. i typically only play conquest however the various game modes keep replay high. Like the other Battlefields; the more you play and help your squad the better. It limits the amount of "lone wolves" out there just doing their own thing. The tanks and planes add a fun aspect and nothing is better than taking down an entire building with a bomb drop or perfectly placed tank shell.

Often times I find myself stopping to just simply take in everything that is going on around me. It's simply the best war shooter available! I would give it a 10 but the sometimes long load times and sporadic server issues drop it to a 9 in my book.

    Graphics
The game looks amazing, from the textures to the particle effects - a true next-gen Battlefield game!
Motion capture has been used for the cut-scenes which makes the characters look far more realistic and expressive.

    Sound
The return to a classical score adds to the drama and suits the era well.
The voice acting is mixed - the foreign and British voices come across well but the American actors are terrible!
The shots, flame, explosions, vehicles and soldier banter all sound great... the horse sample however, is terrible! It sounds like The Sugar Hill Gang are scratching it :p

    Gameplay
I wasn't alone in being concerned about the weapons and vehicles that were used in WW1 but fortunately, Dice decided to drop historical accuracy in favour of playability which (pedantry aside) was the right choice.
The weapons are mostly usable but the class restrictions can be limiting. Mortars are great for defending objective-based games.
Sentry kits are a nice addition, available to pick up in certain spots in the game, they give you a unique weapon setup and armour. There's anti-tank, flame-thrower and a very powerful and rapid SMG.
There's a decent selection of tanks and aircraft (if you can find them) but the bike is atrocious.
The horse is a nice addition but overpowered - you can charge against 10 guns and come out mostly unharmed. It's annoying however when your horse gets stuck on a random bit of scenery as standing still will get you killed very quickly.
The Reinforcement vehicle (Train / Dreadnought / Blimp) is another nice addition - the idea is to grant the ailing side a chance of getting back into the game with a powerful armoured vehicle... I've seen it turn the battle a few times but mostly, it's poorly utilised by a selfish pilot who just wants to boost their own kill count, rather than getting close enough to the necessary base so that all gun emplacements can be used effectively. They need to take the most powerful gun away from the pilot seat to fix this.
There's a decent selection of maps but after just 2 weeks, I'm already thirsting for more.
There's the usual CQ, Rush, Domination and Deathmatch game modes but couple of new modes: War Pigeons and Operations.
War Pigeons is a close-quarter fight where you have to acquire a pigeon and stay alive long enough for you to attach & release a message - a bit of fun for 10 minutes but no lasting appeal for me.
Operations is immense! It's what Rush should be. It's a multi-stage Rush-style game where you have to capture and retain all bases in a sector - if you do, you clear out remaining defensive forces and push on to the next sector, signalled by trench whistles and the rousing cheers of your countrymen - if you fail, you get 2 more pushes but importantly, you get a reinforcement vehicle after a failed push.
It's incredibly tough to complete Operations when attacking (especially the 3-stage "Oil of Empires") but it's the best addition to Battlefield game modes in a very long time.
The single-player "War Stories" are very good and definitely worth playing.

    Summary
If you only buy one FPS this year, make it BF1!
Occasional glitches (going under the map or being unable to shoot), server and squad joining issues prevent me from giving it a 10 but it's the most functional BF game at release that I can remember.

It feels so authentic and real and terrifying. The graphics and sound are stunning. Maps are brilliant and require skill, map knowledge and team work to accomplish objectives.

It had one of the best intros I've ever seen in a video game. Before I even saw the main menu, I was thrown right into the middle of a giant battle with what seemed to be the Americans and the Germans. Each time I died, I switched to the perspective of a new character, really giving a feel for how many people died in World War 1. This prologue is the first of 6 War Stories, Battlefield 1's campaign. Each one tells a different story of a soldier in the war. I will admit that I enjoyed some more than others, but the overall experience is good. It is short, however, only running at about 6-7 hours long. But the multiplayer is where Battlefield 1 truly stands out. All of the regular Battlefield modes have been brought back, but one new addition is Operations, in which you take over territory on a large map, then push forward to a different map once you've taken the first one. It's easily the best part of Battlefield 1, and I've already invested a number of hours into it. Some of my favorite moments have come from playing Operations, and I have no doubt that they'll keep coming. Now I bet a lot of you are asking the same question: does this game have microtransactions? Well no, actually. Points to EA because you can't purchase Battlepacks with actual money. I didn't expect to see restraint from them in this area. One problem that I do have with this game is all of the "coming soon" options you see in the menu. It's clear that this will be included as DLC down the line. It's a minor problem, but that and the short length of the campaign keep Battlefield from being a 10. That doesn't stop this game from being incredible, though, as Battlefield 1 is easily the best entry in the franchise yet. I didn't expect this to be a game of the year contender, but that's exactly what it is. 9/10. Expand

Battlefield 1 is one of the best looking shooters to date. I play the game on my PS4 but even on that it is stunning. Complaining about lag or saying that any shooter in the last 10 years looks better suggests you need a better PC.. The game is beautiful and plays fantastic. True enough it's tougher to hit your target without red dots, stabilizers, etc. is challenging but considering the game is set in WWI that's only part of its realism. Battlefield 1 is less forgiving that its competition but the sheer magnitude of its maps and multiplayer fun is unparalleled. I have played a lot of different shooters from Black, Killzone, CoD to Battlefield and Battlefield 1 is by no means perfect but it is an absolutely great game with amazing visuals and good clean fun.
I suggest people that hate the game to turn to CoD to have fun and leave semi-realistic shooters like Battlefield to the people that love them. By all means rate the game anyway you like but don't give it a 10 (because its not perfect) and don't give it a 1 (just because you have beef with EA or hate Battlefield).
Rate the game because you want to contribute not play fanboy or hater..

Battlefield 1’s campaign tells the story of 6 different characters during the First World War...
Each of the 6 chapters take place in different places of the world, and they all feel unique from one another….
You’ll take to the ground, air, and shadows…
You’ll be a tank searching for a friend… you’ll drive a tank trying to take control of the land, take to the sky as a gambler with a hint that maybe things didn’t happen the way he says it did, stealth through areas as a woman trying to sabotage war plans and destroy an armored train, and an Australian runner slicing through the trenches…
The campaign in total will take about 5 an a half hours long to complete give or take, all depending on how often you die..
And you will... a lot, as this game is brutal even on its normal difficulty…
If you’re an aggressive players, you’re not going to do too well in all but 1 chapter as you can only take about 3 hits and you’re dead… and the checkpoints can be complete garbage at time...
Especially considering how large locations are…
For the most part, this isn’t just a run and gun linear shooter… when you touch ground you’re on a massive battlefield crawling with enemies…
You have the choice to mark them all from a vantage point... sneak around them all with distractions or just avoiding them, sneak behind them for a quiet melee… get involved in a gun fight, the option for the most part is up to you, but there are many sections that force you to clear the area of enemies..
Gunplay in this game can be pretty frustrating as again... 3 shots and you’re dead…
all cover can be destroyed including houses, you do regenerate health, but it feels like an eternity before it will start, and hit detection in this game is far from perfect…
Keep in mind I’m talking single player here.. Meaning internet connection isn’t at fault...
Many times my bullets would go right through enemies doing no damage at all…
But I only found this to be the case in single player, no noticeable problems in multiplayer...
There are also annoying enemy variants like flamethrower guys and heavy armor guys who are invulnerable to bullets…
You can kill the heavy with a grenade, but the flamethrower guy is invulnerable against bullets and grenades... he can only be killed by shooting his tank…
Which you’d think a grenade would be fine for this, but no.. it’s not… really breaking immersion throwing in video gamey enemies like this when everything else feels so real…
The camera would also get a little awkward when I would try to run and find cover, which is a real frustration when you’re taking part in a section of the chapter with tanks or the armored train…
Especially since again, the checkpoints are so unforgiving and they can all instakill your character…
These sections take time.. A lot of time… and patience... as well as a handful of other stealthy sections that can sometimes feel like they’re plucked out of a hitman game with their punishment for detection…
These levels are absolutely gorgeous though, and I cared about all 6 characters during my brief time with them…
The single player gameplay just unfortunately lacks a hint of polish which stops the campaign from ever wowing me…
What did wow me however was the multiplayer…
The maps are well designed.. The mayhem of zeppelins, tanks, horses, and airplanes is almost magic…
You never really think of perspective in multiplayer games... people are usually for the most part doing the same thing as you, but better or worse…
A bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off…
Here however, it’s such a great feeling to sit back and realize that everything you see going on, is another person having an entirely different perspective than you are…
Controlling airships.. Planes…taking them out... riding horseback into a battle zone…
It really breathes life into the competitive gaming realm…
Battlefield essentially has 6 different game types…
domination with is your typical capture and hold, rush witch is an attack and defend game, team death match where most kills wins… , war pigeons which is essentially a capture the flag match.. Get the pigeon, release the pigeon, and stop enemies from doing the game.
conquest, which is capture and hold but with complete mayhem going on… a true feeling of war…
and finally operations, which gives a back story to each of the fighting locations.. Here you either try to gradually capture all sections by capturing and holding 1 to 3 separate spots of a map or defend these sections by filling a kill counter...
Battlefield offers something here for everyone… a solid single player experience good enough to stand on its own... and a brilliant multiplayer that brings the multiplayer genre to new heights...
    I give battlefield 1...

Some things need to be changed though:
Reviving someone should be 100 points to encourage people to do it more often, or just make it exactly the same as in bf hl.
The medals shouldn't need tracking or have different stages it should just be possible to do it all at the same time.
Assist counted as kill needs to be lowered to 75% of health like in hl.
The rest of the game though is brilliant or good enough despite those small setbacks and the core gameplay is fun and exhilarating.

If you're into online multiplayer FPS, this is the must-have of 2016, regardless of the platform you're playing on. It's the package as a whole that stands out. Beautiful graphics, more destruction than ever, great atmosphere, well put together maps and some fresh multiplayer modes like Operations and War Pigeons. Also a decent single player is included. While the BF franchise failed miserable when it came to SP experience in previous iterations, Dice now hits back in full force with a strong narrative covering the awe and agony of several characters.

Operations feels like the new main Battlefield mode. A full match spans across multiple games, spread over 2 or 3 different maps. The full map is divided into multiple sectors, where the attacking team must capture all points within a sector in order to move onto the next. When all sectors are captured, the battle moves onto the next map. The attacking team only has a limited number of tickets (respawns), and loses when it fails to capture all sectors before they run out of tickets. The attacking team gets three chances. After failing a first time, the ticket counter is reset, a special vehicle like an airship is brought in for support and the fight starts from the last taken sector. Each operation is surrounded with a narrative giving context to the battle, and how different outcomes could have changed the course of the war drastically. This emphasizes how well finished this game is.

+ Best graphics ever seen for almost fully destructible environments
    + Music
+ Atmosphere. Be ready for some bone chilling moments
+ Both SP and MP well worked out
+ A lot of good MP maps. I didn't find any that I don't really like, which is a first for me considering all possible MP shooters.
    + Operations mode
+ Lots of experience customization possible (like crosshair color and thickness to name one)

    - Framedrops in Conquest mode (only occasional in other large modes)
    - Aim assist is a little overdone. Should be more subtle when activated
    - Laggy menus

The best part of the multiplayer? It's really mind boggling how well they have captured the essence of real warfare, and what it might have been in WW1. Basically, if you are an idiot who runs around above trenches with their potato grip SMG, you're going to die. If you play smart, and calculate your movements, you'll be consistently at the top of the charts. The less you die, the better your performance.

Why this game is not a 10 is that there are some odd design choices. The menus are atrocious, reminiscent of Windows 10, laggy as hell, and lack certain functionalities in key places. It feels like the menus were not properly tested before launch.

Secondly, there are some balancing issues currently, that are in no way game breaking, but should be addressed post haste. My personal pet peeve is how strong the medic class is right now in terms to available equipment and guns.

Overall, although using the horrendous cash-grab tactics, this is an excellent game.

Battlefield 1 imo feels like a "back to the basics" type of fps. No more guns with laser sites, calling in a laser guided missiles from a satellite via computer, or trying to shoot players running on walls. Just your basic run around with the familiar "Battlefield" tradition. All your favorite Battlefield modes are back. Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch, etc. My new favorite mode though is operations. I don't want to say what it is because I wan't you to experience it yourself but it is effing awesome! Conquest of coarse has always been my favorite, along with Rush but Operations is a great way to mix it up a bit while adding somewhat of a history lesson. Gun play is great, and I have noticed that with these less reliable, older guns it is not as easy to get a kill as it used to be. The general rate of fire is a bit slower all around. I thought I was going to like all the machine guns a lot more than everything else but honestly the semi-automatics are what I like to use best now, which is weird because I never liked the semi-auto rifles in previous Battlefield games. Only because I was never very good with them. The tanks are pretty cool, all ranging from your giant devastators to your little one man machines. The planes are actually my favorite though. You got your bombers, attack planes and fighter planes. All of which have their advantages. Bombers are slow and heavy but deal an incredible amount of damage with 2 different types of bombs that drop 10's at a time. The attack planes I believe are for attacking ground targets and such, then the fighters are your dog fighting planes. They are super fast with machine guns, and rockets. The rockets are cool because there is no lock on or anything so you genuinely need to time them just right if you intend on hitting enemy fighters, but if you do the enemy does not typically survive. I am sure you all know about the horse by now, which was a bit op in the beta but they have since nerfed a bit so it is not quite as easy to decimate entire teams with nothing but a saber lol. If you have been playing battlefield since the early 2000's I think you will be surprised. The campaign is so far pretty good. It's not a revolutionary style of campaign but it is safe to say that it is the best one since bad company. Battlefield veterans and privates alike i think will love B1. Expand

The single player campaign is fresh and original, the way it's been constructed into 5 mini stories as opposed to one new one. this has you going from extreme to extreme, always in a different style of action. from driving a tank to flying a plane to sneaking around the desert, it has something for everyone. This creates powerful little set pieces and being all based on real events, the characters and their plights resonate with the player.
That said, it's al a little too short, at just around 6 hours it's not enough, but heck that doesn't take away from the fact that it's a breath of fresh air in an era of stale modern shooters.
The multiplayer sticks to the tried and tested battlefield formula and delivers much more, classics like conquest and rush return and an even bigger mode, operations will test even the best of players/. I never did like these huge maps as their often chaotic, being spawned into a crumbling building or running all the way to an objective to get picked off by some fella who's figured out how to perform 2000m headshots. Still, as a TDM fan I'm covered, whilst out of place the TDM still plays like battlefield and still feels great, on fantastic, dynamic maps with awesome guns.
The visuals, for a console edition, are sublime, crisp textures and fantastic lighting and insane draw distance, I can image this looking ridiculous on PlayStation pro. Sadly having witnessed it on ultra at 1440p on a gaming rig, PS4 doesn't even come close. The sound are fantastic and guns sound and feel spot on, with screams of agony and the sounds of distant fire fights this game truly captures the essence and feel of war and damn it feels good to play.
Campaign 8/10 dropped some points for length
Multiplayer 7/10 this is a personal rating - I just suck at the huge game modes

Dice brings back Battlefield with an all new installment in the franchise, taking us all the way back to World War 1. World War 1 was the world that shook and changed the world, it was the said to be the wars to end all wars, does this installment live up to its potential or does it die in the trenches? let's find out.

So let us start off with the campaign, in Battlefield 1's campaign you will play as six different soldiers, a British tank driver, an American pilot, an Italian brute soldier looking for his brother, a female soldier working alongside Lawrence of Arabia, legend of the Australian army and, an African American foot soldier fighting deep within the trenches of Europe. Across these journeys, on different continents of the world, you will experience different things like tank battles in a town square in France, dog fights over the fields of Germany, horseback fighting in the middle east. During the course of the campaign in just about every section, you will end up doing some stealth just so you do not get obliterated by every soldier in the area.

The campaign is not where it is at in this game though while being very good it's multiplayer that makes you really appreciate the game. The multiplayer consist of an all new operations mode which is what I have played the most, in a nutshell, operations is rush mode but on a bigger scale. The multiplayer gives you that true sense of what it was like being in the war at the time the dirty warfare of the trenches and, being in no man's land trying to pick off your opponent. You feel a shot of adrenaline pump through your veins when running from an opponent shooting at you through the trenches and the muddy field or, watching as an enemy tank rolls right over you while you hide out in a hole in the ground.

Battlefield 1 may have taken us back to a war that has not been done in many games to this scale, but it's a step in the right direction for Dice and EA. The campaign was short but sweet with very little issues and, the online is amazing and truly one of a kind experience that you won't find anywhere else.

    Battlefield 1: 9.5/10
    Excellent job Dice and EA.

I have 32 hours invested in the multiplayer so far and just a few of the first levels in the campaign completed, so I will be focusing mostly on the multiplayer.

Right off the bat I knew I was going to enjoy the game and how the controls felt, I've been playing BF's since Bad Company, but truly got into them during BF3 and the controls felt right on par with the prior BF games. Flying in the 3 airplanes that they give you is fluid and much easier than in previous games and I've found myself crashing into tall trees or sides of mountains much, much less. The vehicles, which I've spent most of my time in the heavy tank, feel like they should, they're slow, but sturdy and they get the job done with whichever vehicle you choose. Say you want to get around the map quicker in the light tank because you can drive down allies better than in a land ship ( I like to call it the land shark) or heavy, you have that option. Then you have the land ship which is great for squads who are communicating due to there being two heavy guns that can take out tanks much quicker than the other two options. And then there are the infantry controls, which have not changed much from the prior BF's and feel great to control.

The weapons that are given this time around do take some time to get used to, you're not going to be able going in guns blazing with the medics weapons, but are very effective at medium range. The assault class can be very useful for taking out tanks and the trench guns/shotguns are both great options for closer quarter maps and sections. I haven't played very much support yet, but it's mostly the light machine guns that we've been used to in prior games. Then the scout class, some of the options are more effective depending on the circumstances or the map. There is a rifle that does not have a scope, but can down enemies in one shot even when you're not hitting them in the head, but there are also choices for long range scenarios. I've found a gun for most of the classes that I enjoy using, I just wish we could have more options, since it seems like we have 4-5 choices of guns total per class and then they just added different attachments to call it something else. Last on the classes, the special classes that randomly spawn on the maps are a great addition which add more depth to the game, my favorite being the flamethrower class because when is it not fun to burn your foes in a game?

We have our normal BF game modes such as Rush and Conquest and then the other normal FPS modes, but they've added a new game mode War Pigeons. This mode is where each team is trying to get to the pigeon that spawns on the map first, collect it, and then run out into the open to let it fly away ( it can be shot down by the enemy ), and ultimately call in an artillery strike on your enemies. Then we have Operations, this mode ( or multiplayer story ) is a game mode where one team is attacking different objectives while the other team is defending. It sounds pretty basic, but they've incorporated a story for each different map and these games can sprawl across multiple levels depending on if the attackers are doing well enough to advance to each new area. The defenders each get 3 tries to take all of the areas in the map and after the first time the attackers are unsuccessful, they're given one of the 3 behemoth 'vehicles' which can be a zeppelin that flies over the map, a train than has massive guns and mortars attached to it, or a huge ship called the Dreadnought. This mode has so far been my favorite and make for some epic battles when those behemoths spawn.

The graphics and sound are on par with some of the other games on the market right now and the scale of some of the maps in this game made for some of the prettiest sights in games I've seen in a long time. The guns sound like I'm actually shooting them and I love the iconic sound of when you shoot your last bullet in some of the semi-automatic guns.

My grief with the game so far are the amount of game modes, or lack there of , we were given for launch and then the fewer amount of guns we see here. ( Yes, I understand the time setting ) Here's hoping we can see some really great maps and modes in the DLC, even though that'll sadly split up the multiplayer into people who purchased the DLC and those who just wanted to stick with the base game... Maybe Dice will realize this isn't the best business model and could start taking pointers from CD Projeckt Red.

Overall: Great multiplayer that could be a full package with the controversial DLC model they've chosen again this time, that has great replay value. I recommend this to fans of the previous BFs and new timers looking for a solid FPS to play this fall.

This game as perfectly balanced a lot of things such as the weapons and vehicles. Leveling up also seems to be easier than the past games that took forever to get something of worth. The soundtrack and story campaign was orchestrated beautifully and made me want to listen to it again and again. But however this game does have a few flaws. The story/campaign was a bit shorter than I expected for a non perfectionist player and there were only about 50ish weapons in total compared to the countless offered in the past games. Also, the lack of customization in the whole weapons concept concerned me a bit other than the skins (Which are great as they aren't too flashy and "CoDish" and are how weapons skins are supposed to be like.) The lack of vehicles also concerned me but that is understandable. Overall. This game was worth every single penny I paid Expand

Starting the game for the first time was stunning, you get thrown right into the action. I won`t spoil anything, but the story is kinda short. I know most of the people say that Battlefield is focused on the multiplayer, but for me a story is just as important. The story only lasted a bit over 5 hours, but those 5 hours was amazing. The multiplayer this time around feels so good, and the servers work this time around. Just so you know, the fully automatic weapons are the most used ones in this game. The only thing that keeps me from giving this game a 10/10 is the short story, but everthing else in this game is very close to perfection.
I recommend this game to every fps player.

This game is incredible and follows up BF4 nicely (we won't talk about Hardline...). The graphics are incredible and the game play is tight. I'm glad a shooter has gone back to its roots instead of progressing into the future with every new release - I'm talking about you COD!

    ---The Campaign---
Holy s*** a BF campaign I actually care about and enjoyed, I haven't had this feeling since the days of Bad Company. In the BF game you will "Relive" some epic moments of many different soldiers on many different fronts. Sadly no French, Russian, Ottoman, German, Austria-Hungary. The game just feels epic in ANY of the campaigns you play in, probably the least enjoyable to me was the Italian campaign but that may just be me.

Now to the issues I have the campaign and I'll s*** on this game alot for it (But don't let that mislead you, it's still an incredibly enjoyable game). The SJW themes in this movie. White/Europe/British just as bad as the Ottomans, thats the message I got from the story tellers especially in the middle Eastern campaign. And you'll get this theme alot of the game designers overly trying to be inclusive.

    -----Multiplayer-----
"We wuz snipers en shiat" Sorry terrible joke on part but continuing on from the SJW talk, yes I have yet to play a "Sniper class" that isn't Black. Even for the Germans, apparently the Germans enlisted heavily from their massive black population to feed into the meat grinder. I'm of course joking, and find it laughable that the game devs couldn't atleast attempt to keep it close to history. And because it doesn't stay close to history it personally breaks the immersion for me occasionally. But again NO BIG DEAL, just a minor gripe.

The multiplayer is very fun, even getting spanked and losing horribly I've yet to have a "Throw my controller" moment because the game is still fun even when losing. There is just way to much to talk about for here, just pick it up and try yourself YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

First time playing battlefield and any fps online and have to say im hooked. It has a few bugs and issues but nothing to wonky to take away from my enjoyment and experience. Great graphics, top sound and solid game mechanics makes this a must buy for any fps fan. Plus Dice do a good job of regularly updating and patching all the issues the community flag up

Battlefield 1 is a first person shooter placed in WW1 and published by EA. This action packed shooter starts at a price around the $60 range and is rated M. An explanation for Battlefield 1 having such a good reveiws is because the Campaign is unique, it is split up into 5 different war stories from different people and how they were affected by the war.

Battlefield 1’s Multiplayer is one of the best ever created, the game modes included are Conquest,Rush,War Pigeons,Operations, and Many many more because BF1 has an option to make your own mode to your own liking.

While playing BF1 multiplayer you are given 4 options for classes + Extra Special classes like mechanic and pilot. The normal 4 classes include the medic, support, assault, and scout. All of these classes include different abilities and gear so it is good to have your team balanced with a decent amount of all 4.

The bad things in BF1 are actually the glitches that can occur while playing multiplayer. These glitches are usually not that bad but it could go from not being able to quit a match or even not having a gun.

Besides the unfortunate glitches, Battlefield 1 is one of the most balanced and solid game i have ever played because of the graphics, story, and overall being different from other franchises. If i were you i would grab a copy of BF1 now.

    My rating - 94%

Though the server can be laggy and even unplayable at times, Battlefield 1 is an excellent game with beautiful graphics, an almost not crappy story and great multiplayer gameplay that brings the first person shooter genre to new heights.

This is for the online only. It's great, the best thing I have played in years as far as online FPS's are concerned. The huge maps (I don't play as a sniper, so this is a pro and a con), the graphics are great, and the pace is just right. I do find myself always remembering a few features that are missing or some imbalances, but I'd say a great game.

This game definitely lives up to the name, Battlefield.

It is true warfare and it's very hard to put down when you get used to the maps, to the weapons and gear, and stationary weapons, tanks, planes, et cetera. Battlefield 1 has an impressive multiplayer and it literally DEFINES combat FPS games. The War Stories could've been improved, however, but I liked some of them, especially

When I first got into Battlefield (Bad Company), I never saw myself using an armored trooper with a Maxim machine gun, dropping bombs on populated sector or charging into a hail of gunfire to cheat death or fall. Battlefield has always been about bringing the intensity of the combat, newer things to flesh that experience out. Battlefield 1 does it in the best way possible, all out war and large scale operations and vintage (mostly historically accurate) weaponry.

For new players, forget what you know about every other shooter. Battlefield will train your failures into success the more you play it. At first, you may charge into battle hoping to find another to kill. At first, you will realize, that you are gunned down before snapping a shot in. So you die and respawn, begin to realize that moving too much is your enemy and that proper teamwork, accuracy and attacking carefully is the name of the game. (provided you aren't in a tank, which does change the dynamic slightly.) Second, you begin to understand what the hell classes/gadgets are and how they improve how you fight and survive longer.

Once you figure out that, you'll realized what you've missed all these years and realize that Call of Duty was the wrong shooter to play. Battlefield is where its at!

A visually stunning game, with depth and emotion tethered into the single player campaign. It's the only game I've played to make you feel the gravity of war and what it meant to those fighting in it. The single player is a little short, but that doesn't mean it isn't thoroughly enjoyable.

The multiplayer has had me hooked for months. Stunning effects, explosions, destructible structures and a wide array of vehicles to play with. When it comes to the weapons, I've read other reviews complaining about how inaccurate they are, how weak they are etc etc. Well, newsflash, World War 1 was over 100 years ago, so expect the guns to be 100% perfect.

Overall, a brilliant game, occasionally buggy, but thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless. I plan on playing this game for a long time to come.

How good can a shooter be? This question is answered with great power in Battlefield 1's addictive multiplayer, moving stories and captivating graphics. Once you pop the disc in you are thrown into the front lines where they show you the horrors of this catastrophic event that went down over 100 years ago. A true classic with fun gameplay and beautiful graphical power.

The best shooter multiplayer under my point of view (a bit above battlefront 2). The idea of multiple short stories is really good, and those stories are very good, soundtrack is AWSOME, pvp is so much fun specially if you play with sniper. Multiplayer maps are really spicy, the only problem is it's price (right now you can find it for 20€, but 2 years ago was 100€). 9/10.
