    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I feel that the fighting is not as fluid or "dramatic" as Arkham City, for me it was an important point because the fighting is my favorite part of Arkham. The mechanics are still the same but something innovative is added; The Batmobile.
    The Batmobile has two sides, because depending on the mission, it can be very fun to use or frustrating, many people hate the car.

    The plot is not bad, but it feels repetitive (if you know the arc "Under the Red Hood") and inferior to the second game of the saga.

    It has a good variety of DLCs, that if you get them at a good price you will feel worth it, they have given me some extra fun.

    No doubt its ending is sad, but with great weight, I think it could have been better but tried to be as epic as possible.    … Expand

    I played and enjoyed Arkham Asylum and Arkham City when they came out. I am a Batman fan and a fan of the Arkham series.

    Unfortunately Arkham Origins didn't ever run properly on my PC and I gave up on getting this third real installment in the series, because there were problems with the PC port and until recently I didn't own a PS4. By the time I'd gotten a PS4, I'd more or less    I played and enjoyed Arkham Asylum and Arkham City when they came out. I am a Batman fan and a fan of the Arkham series.

    Unfortunately Arkham Origins didn't ever run properly on my PC and I gave up on getting this third real installment in the series, because there were problems with the PC port and until recently I didn't own a PS4. By the time I'd gotten a PS4, I'd more or less forgotten about the series (and this game in particular), but when I saw it at a very low sale price, I couldn't resist it.

    Somehow I was going in cold; I knew next to nothing about the story or any changes that had been made to the gameplay (I hadn't even heard about the addition of the Batmobile). I settled in to play it and I was almost immediately impressed by the art design, acting and storytelling. When it came time to actually take control of the Batman, that's when things started to go wrong.

    At first I thought I was just rusty. I've not played an Arkham game in some time and I thought that having recently played similar games (such as the PS4 Spider-Man and certain Assassin's Creed titles), my confused hands might take a little time to adjust to the control scheme. However, things didn't get any better. The addition of the Batmobile only seemed to compound the issue. Almost everything about the control scheme feels incredibly counter-intuitive, to the point where my biggest challenge in the game is fighting with my own instinct to push a specific button to perform a specific task.

    For instance - while driving in most games, you would use one of the right triggers to go forwards and a left trigger to reverse, but in this game square reverses the car... unless you are in battle mode, in which case it fires your secondary weapon. As for controlling the Dark Knight himself, I instinctively try to open my gadget wheel using a left trigger, but that summons the Batmobile (or more likely triggers the voice of Kevin Conroy telling me that I can't summon the Batmobile). Instead you pull up the gadget wheel on the d-pad, which feels clunky - especially because the rest of the options on the D-pad there look just like the gadget wheel (missions wheel, etc) and I keep opening those by accident.

    For the first time in well over a decade I found myself hunting for an option to remap the controller, but that option didn't appear to be available.

    In early Arkham games, I was impressed by how they make you feel like Batman (in the same way the Spider-Man game makes you feel like Spider-Man). Everything you do looks cool and effortless. In Arkham Knight, my Batman looks like a recovering alcoholic, stumbling around the screen and bumbling into enemy fire.

    Possibly as a result of my issues with the control scheme, or maybe to replace emphasis on Batmobile combat, fistfights now feel so difficult that I was forced to play in easy mode. I hated the Batmobile at first, but I got more used to it (because it is easier) and now prefer it. However, the battles do feel a bit rote. Worse still, driving around a city blowing up drone tanks just doesn't feel very Batmanny, not in the same way combat has in the previous games.

    And I wish the HUD, the controls or the over-use of the car were the only sources of frustration, but they aren't, unfortunately. The game is often buggy, often confusing and often leads you wandering around some dead end trying to initiate an encounter or mission that isn't technically available yet.

    For example, on my first visit to GCPD, I picked up a Riddler mission. I followed the navigator to a big metal door with a lone green light shining on it and spent thirty minutes trying to figure out how to get inside. Hours later into the game, I found that same door again with a big green question mark painted on it - and it opened for me. When the game had sent me before; the mission just wasn't available. I'd wasted 30 minutes feeling stupid and frustrated.

    Later a bug prevented a hoard of enemies from entering a room, which was needed in order to progress in the game, so I spent over 20 minutes in an empty room assuming I had missed something.

    Later still, a prompt to open a door didn't appear, so I assumed it wasn't enter-able and wasted time exploring another empty environment.

    At one point I followed a forensic trail backwards by accident (because the city looks the same and nothing indicated the direction I should travel in) and spent a further 20 minutes investigating a dead end.

    All of this makes the game incredibly tedious and not much fun to play.

    However, it gets a full five points, because in spite of all of this, there is enough there to compel me to keep playing it.

    The game is bad, but the design is fantastic. The story has provided some fantastic Batman scenes and character moments. Not only that, but there are storytelling techniques being used here that you rarely see, that take full advantage of the video game medium.

    The game has a good story, but it is a very average game in its entirety. The messages are repetitive and often very nauseating. To complete the character seems to have a life of its own because it often happens in the game to do things you did not have to do.     The gameplay is near perfection. The predator and combat sequences have been improved upon with new gadgets and moves and fine tuned to give us the best gameplay in an Arkham game yet. Upon replaying any of the earlier games, it becomes clear that the gameplay was improved by the time Arkham Knight came out. The Batmobile sections, although overused at times, add another fantastic method of transportation around Arkham City. The open world feels the perfect size and is full of Easter eggs and puzzles. The combination of the batmobile and grapple gun gives Batman a variety of options to explore the city.

    However, for all of the game’s gameplay achievements, it falls short with its writing. The game’s titular villain turns out to be quite disappointing, a very powerful moment in the game is ruined by a later revelation, and overall the story feels like a bit of underwhelming conclusion to the Arkham trilogy. The secret ending also requires 100% completion and potentially sets up future games. Nevertheless, AK is a massive improvement over Arkham Origins in terms of voice acting and the original cast from the first two games has returned.

    The side missions are also particular disappointing and the return of a character who was phenomenal in previous games is lackluster and leaves much to be desired. Along the same lines, the boss fights in this game are particularly bad especially when compared to the iconic boss fights from Arkham City. The boss fights were very much a step in the wrong direction for the series.

    Lastly, I found the game to be far too easy. Even when playing on the hardest difficulty, the AI difficulty does not increase, instead all that happens is their damage input increases while your health drops. It would have been great for Rocksteady to make more meaningful difficult changes.

    Overal, Arkham Knight has a story and boss fights that fail to live up to consumer expectations following the massive success of Arkham City. Nevertheless, the Arkham freeflow combat and predator sections have been perfected in this game, and yes, it does make you “feel like Batman”.    … Expand

    Honestly, I think this is the worst game I have ever played. The dullest missions mixed with a lot of different bugs (starting from enemies being stuck inside walls, so you can't complete mission without restarting and ending with the worst batmobile control). I would never recommend this game to anyone who's not a BIG fan of Batman (even for me, a big fan of Batman, this game was soHonestly, I think this is the worst game I have ever played. The dullest missions mixed with a lot of different bugs (starting from enemies being stuck inside walls, so you can't complete mission without restarting and ending with the worst batmobile control). I would never recommend this game to anyone who's not a BIG fan of Batman (even for me, a big fan of Batman, this game was so annoying). I was playing this game to the end only to finish it, I didn't get any pleasure or satisfaction, I was only getting angry and angry.

    Graphics is insane in this. Story has its highs and lows. Gameplay is best in Arkham series.
    But if there would be less tank / batmobile battles would be better :) and also deathstroke tank battle is wtf, give me fight like in Origins

    The rest is tried and true to the Arkham franchise. If you've played previous installments then you know what you're in for, which is a lot of fun being Batman. Story was ok. Not great but not terrible. Wish we could have had some main story play as the sidekicks to be honest.

    It's worth a cheap purchase, which at this stage is what you should be getting it as. Still a fun game overall!    … Expand

    Best Batman game in my opinion, gives you such freedom and power, and you can see Gotham alive, full of people and mysteries, the game is just too awesome for me, love the combat style and the open world exploration, gliding around as batman

    So for me everything in the game is top notch aside from: 1) Story - It's really not it and could've been done so much batter, we all know that. 2) Batmobile - It's cool af but at one point I was under the impression that the game should be called Batmobile:    I'll just start by stating the obvious - this game is amazing from top to bottom, graphics, combat, semi-open world, etc.

    So for me everything in the game is top notch aside from:

    1) Story - It's really not it and could've been done so much batter, we all know that.

    2) Batmobile - It's cool af but at one point I was under the impression that the game should be called Batmobile: Arkham Tank cause you literally need it for EVERYTHING.

    3) The thing that made me almost hate the game - RIDDLER. Nothing more to say except f that guy and whoever thought it was a good idea to put in TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY THREE trophies in the game. That was two hundred too much.    … Expand

    Then I got my PS4 and one of the first games I played on it was Arkham Knight. Boy was it a fun experience. The combat is fun as all hell. The stealth is intriguing (tho I personally don't enjoy stealth very much) A lot of people hate on Arkham Knight for the number of times we need Batmobile for combat and puzzles but I personally loved the Batmobile. I loved Riddler's races, I loved the puzzles, I loved traversing the city using Batmobile. So basically unlike a lot of people, I enjoyed the hell out of Batmobile. The story is great. Although fans felt betrayed by the lie that Rocksteady told about the main antagonist, but I loved the story overall.
    Every good game knows that players must gradually feel empowered and this exactly happened with the Arkham Knight. You constantly feel powerful the more you progress through the story and unlock new abilities. The 3 different parts of the map each have their own personalities and they are beautiful. There are a ton of things to do in the game. Different side quests, challenges, races, etc.
    The only negative thing I can say about the game is that it's too short. For the game that is the final entry in the Rocksteady Arkham series, it should have been longer. WAAAAAY LONGER. But this feeling must probably be related to the fact that I loved the game so much.
    Overall the game was the best game in the series and one of the best games I've ever played in my entire life. Nothing beats being Batman    … Expand

    Why i took 2 points because Scarecrow didn't give me that feeling he is main villian because he mostly runs away from us and the Arkham Knight we see Batmobile more than him and why game is named Arkham Knight if the main villian is Scarecrow. We needed to see Arkham Knight more and he was like a teenager.

    Arkham Knight is a fantastic game. A great ending for a great super hero series. The only bad thing about this game is that is the successor of Arkham City. And Arkham City is the best game ever so AK make raised expectations too much. And its a fantastic game, with nice atmosphere and good gameplay. But too much batmobile. I don't have issues with controls of the car but its boring afterArkham Knight is a fantastic game. A great ending for a great super hero series. The only bad thing about this game is that is the successor of Arkham City. And Arkham City is the best game ever so AK make raised expectations too much. The story is monotonous sometimes and the plot thickens in the middle. I remember when i platinumed Arkham City i was like omg lets play again NG+. In Arkam Knight i was sooooooo bored.     An otherwise excellent game, it is totally marred by extremely annoying, long sequences of tank battles, which many of them are stealth in gameplay. It damages the game so much that the player wants to throw the gamepad out of the window. If I wanted to play stealth World of Tanks, I would buy such a game. It is a shame that a bunch of idiot developers came up with such a stupid gameplay ideas.

It’s story is terribly written filled with plot holes and illogical errors. One part of it is a poor rip off of Under the Red Hood with a really obvious twist. Scarecrow and The Arkham Knight were wasted in the main story in favor of Joker. Rocksteady turned Jason Todd into a bad villain. He’s generic, whiny and is a brat with 0 motivation except revenge. Jokers plot is ok but the blood subplot is horrible.

    The boss fights are horrendous. The Tankmobile gameplay is repetitive and the opposite of Batman. The side missions are repetitive and lacking. Kevin Conroy phons it in as Batman. Batman is boring. The ending is a rip off of the The Dark Knight Rises.


    Arkham Knight is an ok game but a major disappointment as the finale of the Arkham Series. Rocksteady didn’t want to make it and it was obvious.    … Expand

    This game will always have a special place in my heart due to the fact that this was the very first PS4 game I ever bought with the console; the original disc is still stacked in my collection of PS4 marvels. I will always have great respect for this game, as you genuinely feel like you're Batman; and for a game to do that is amazing.     Bom gameplay, peca pelo uso excessivo do batmobile e das batalhas constantes com os tanques. Poderia ter sido melhor utilizado.
    Faltou mais missões de detective, a verdadeira essência do Batman.
    Cheio de easter eggs.
    Recomendo a todos os fãs da DC.

    Batman arkam knight is a game worth buying and having in your collection. The graphics are really good for a pretty old game.the driving and combat are amazing and the flying is pretty good too.the map is not that big which actually is not bad.

    Being forced to play "world of tanks" instead of playing as Batman really lets this game down. The tank inclusion stinks of a higher up thinking this is a great idea and then no one being able to concince them otherwise. Playing as batman is great, outside of some zipline oddities. Wish there was more to the game other than the tank syuff though.

    This game has everything to be the best of the Arkham franchise. However it is infested with bugs in hit boxes on the stage and enemies; for example: the indestructible elements in the scenario have a collision similar to the walls and can block combos in combat mode, which by the way always cause the player to get stuck on the sides of the arena.

Claro que quando joguei os outros jogos vi que o gameplay era meio repetitivo, mas em geral, show. A unica coisa que achei completamente sem noção nesse jogo são os desafios do charada...     Arkham knight doesn’t hit the high points that City does. But it is a competent game. The mechanics are refined enough to not hamper the experience. The various side quests which neatly wrap with batman encountering a member from his rogues gallery is a nice touch. The main story though, doesn’t work as well.

    El videojuego tiene unos controles algo complejos, esa es una de las razones por la que bajo la nota pero el combate me parece muy bueno desde el combate cuerpo a cuerpo hasta el combate con el "Batimovil".

    Me parece muy innovador el "Batimovil", que llegue a tu ubicación solo pulsando un botón, que tenga un modo de combate para poder luchar contra los enemigos además de servir como medio de transporte.

Didn’t mind the batmobile like most, bc it was cool and brought something different. However, the boss battles and missions are EXTREMELY repetitive. Honestly, the best parts of this game are the challenge maps and the “Arkham Episodes”. The main story, however, is pretty terrible. Definitely the worst/weakest out of the Arkham games, including Origins. Guess it was hard without having Paul Dini to write an amazing story.… Expand

The costume looks awesome (and in case you don't like it, there are plenty to choose from), there's the Batmobile, the story is the most unpredictable one if you go in without any spoilers, the graphics are amazing and there are a ton of quests to do so that you don't get boredIt's an unpopular opinion, I know, but Batman: Arkham Knight is the best game in the entire Batman Arkham series. The costume looks awesome (and in case you don't like it, there are plenty to choose from), there's the Batmobile, the story is the most unpredictable one if you go in without any spoilers, the graphics are amazing and there are a ton of quests to do so that you don't get bored with the game any time soon. The main missions take nearly 20 hours to complete. If that doesn't tell you about the game's mammoth size, probably the fact that it's only 1 of the 12 quests that you can do will.

    The story begins from about 8 months since the death of Joker. And this within itself gives the developers enough of a reason to fill the game with Joker's ideas. We often see Joker's hallucinations taunting Batman and standing in places where we have to go when we have to perform a task. Joker also has a part up ahead in the game where we get to play as him, and it's really scary in the beginning. Occasionally Joker encourages us because he didn't want anyone to kill Batman and take away his dream, but at the same time he also wants us to die so that Joker can take over Batman's body. This gives a very detailed layer to Joker, and makes him one of the best written characters in spite of being dead.

    Now let's talk about the Batmobile. I am well aware of the people who say that they find the Batmobile missions annoying, and I don't mean to challenge anyone's opinion. But personally the Batmobile is one of the things that made me like this game the most in the series. Batmobile allows us to get anywhere faster and it has a pretty good control, unlike many open world games like GTA IV or Watch_Dogs 2 where the car drives like a sailboat. On setting it in Battle Mode we can control it even easily and once upgraded, it's literally an indestructable piece of tank. After having completed the game I often drive around in the Dark Knight's Tumbler while wearing the Christian Bale Batman outfit, or the Batman v Superman Batmobile while wearing Ben Affleck's outfit. It's really fun to do all that. I'm okay with you if you don't like it, but I like it a lot.

    And finally let's talk about the game in general. The voice acting is great once again. Though my PC would lag sometimes when the cutscenes would play, and I don't blame it because it is happening even though the video memory of the game is well below my graphic card's. So for now I have only played the main mission and uninstalled the game, so that I continue it from my cloud save once I get a gaming PC. Then I also really like Batman's suit over here. At first I thought I'd try out the other suits as well, but I always came back to the game one. Personally I'd have prefered if the suit had white eyes too, but that's probably just a choice, and I'm disappointed over here because literally every suit shows our eyes.

    Overall Batman: Arkham Knight is one of the most beautiful games I have played this year. I have played it for 19 hours by now and hopefully, like I said, I will play it when I get a better PC. People often talk about the Arkham series being the one where we get to be Batman. In my opinion this game is the one that shows it the most.    … Expand

Now, the weakest point in this game is the story, it barely made any sense, especially if you played Arkham City, i mean, the pacing, voice acting and the scenes are very good, but Batman becoming Joker doesn't make sense at all, because Batman drank the cure in Arkham City, so why is he becoming the joker? in Arkham City Batman almost died in a few hours by Joker's disease, so why aren't the other infected dying? How is Batman able to see memories from another person? How Jason Todd survived? Why Scarecrow released the toxin with nobody in Gotham? Why not send Militia tanks with soldiers inside, preventing Batman from destroying them? Did Batman really take control of his body only telling the Joker that his biggest fear was beeing forgotten? There are so many questions without answer, unfortunately the story was very disapointing, but at least the Knightfall protocol was a great ending, in my opinion. Overall, a good game with great graphics, amazing gameplay but with generic quests and a bad story.… Expand

The side quests are so simple, funny to do, but have NOTHING else. Some go and defeat enemies, except Azriel quest and " the perfect crime". And is SO boring do 256 riddles. The gameplay is amazing, the AI is genius and a so good level desing. The principal history is cool, the Joker side is really AMAZING. Is so interesting his presence in all parts, he trying to take the control every time. The KnightFall is disapointing to. Bruce Wayne is dead, some have Batman. Great. He killed his life. The gameplay is amazing , some side quests are interesting, and the history is cool... I like this game.… Expand

    An absolutely remarkable game with slight issues such as the over-reliance of the bat-mobile and the lack of boss fights. Even though I was bothered by these issues, I still managed to have a ton of fun with the gameplay. It also has such an interesting story due it delving into Batman's insanity and Scarecrow works fantastically as the villain here.

    In my opinion, the best game in the franchise! An epic end to the most realistic character in the entire pantheon of heroes.

    Bringing the legendary batmobile to your player's control, Batman AK, surprises us with more realistic graphics, making your player feel like Bruce Wayne again.

    I couldn't stop playing, doing all the details, all the missions! Best possible grade!

He faces many well known villians such as penguin, two face and the infamous riddler with all his trophies scattered all over gotham. Gliding across the moon lit sky travelling across the bright and dense map of gotham still gave me the same immersion and feeling of being batman that i had once experienced in 2012 in batman arkham city. But this game adds to the already amazing traversal with the one and only batmobile and its is as amazing as you think. You feel the the power, heft and horsepower of the batmobile and gives us what we all wanted from the previous arkham games. However, this game has a few flaws which made it miss a legendary 10 from me. Firstly it is unfortunately the batmobile. Aside from all its pros, the batmobile combat gets boring and repetitive after the few initial fights due to the lack of man different enemy tanks to fight and the lack of cool sequences and set pieces that could have been achieved with the batmobile. It was an awesome opportunity which rocksteady missed out on. Secondly though arkhams knights suit is cool and his voice makes him seem like a bad ass but, his story arc and character under the mask reveal was cliche and expected and at the end really didnt surprise which to me is a great disappointment after the major hype built up on him. In conclusion, please play this game. Its is a bunch of fun with its great gameplay and story and the closest we can all get to being the knight!… Expand

    7/10. Maybe it’s because I liked Arkham City so much, but this game is highly overrated. Story isn’t anything special, Arkham Knight is a letdown of a villain. The Batmobile has made me quite finishing the game. Shame as I liked the combat and side mission, but the game in general is a drag to get through, mainly because of the main story/mission.

    Batman: Arkham Knight is the best looking game in the series so far, and includes a lot of cool stuff for fans of Batman. But at the same time it’s starting to feel like Rocksteady is almost too comfortable. It lacks new content, except the pretty bad designed Batmobile parts. If you haven’t played the previous games that much you will probably think that this is one of the best games this year.
