    As usual with ALL of **** games- nothing but a grind with loads of cheating tactics. There was a reason they took the full functioning jump button out of their games- to dictate where and when the player can jump. NO! I will jump whenever and wherever I want to jump. I don't need **** or any other telling me to play the game their way. You can shove their games right up their asses.

    i originally gave this a really high score but now about 15 hours in it takes literally 100 F*****NG hits to kill half of the enemies with all of my stuff fully upgraded which means combat with more than 2 people is IMPOSSIBLE and "oh you can sneak"

    everything was alright but it got VERY unbalanced VERY quickly i don't feel like stabbing one guy in the face 300 times while dodging attacks from 12 other punks just for the crappiest of rewards.

    Dialoghi scritti da cani, piatti e senza un minimo sentimento, esattamente così come sono recitati, trama appena passabile ma su 3 archi narrativi se ne salva forse uno. RPG studiato male, con nemici fatti per prendere botte a livelli alti ma non per darle, ritrovandosi spesso a morire, più per un semplice lupetto che per un generale spartano armato di lancia e scudo. Di Assassin's CreedDialoghi scritti da cani, piatti e senza un minimo sentimento, esattamente così come sono recitati, trama appena passabile ma su 3 archi narrativi se ne salva forse uno.     Had a lot of fun playing, made a seeming inconsequential decision early on and killed the monger publicly. Who would have thought this decision would have major story impacts 20 hours of play later. You can kill Athenians/Spartans indiscriminately with no story effect, but this one small item screws up the story later on. Got to this point and deleted the game.     Hace unos días empecé AC: Odissey y hoy lo he quitado cabreado. Estoy hasta la %#$! de ir de fuerte en fuerte, de que a partir de las 6 horas ya haya visto todo lo que ofrece el juego. Hoy ha sido la gota que ha colmado el vaso cuando, después de hacer 3 misiones que consistían en ir a 3 %#?> fuertes, he ido por Atenas a matar a uno de los que ponen recompensa a tu cabeza (estos tiposHace unos días empecé AC: Odissey y hoy lo he quitado cabreado. Estoy hasta la %#$! de ir de fuerte en fuerte, de que a partir de las 6 horas ya haya visto todo lo que ofrece el juego. Hoy ha sido la gota que ha colmado el vaso cuando, después de hacer 3 misiones que consistían en ir a 3 %#?> fuertes, he ido por Atenas a matar a uno de los que ponen recompensa a tu cabeza (estos tipos están en zonas restringidas, es decir, mas “fuertes”) y bueno, se me han juntado mercenarios, 20 soldados, y ciudadanos imbeciles que no paraban de venir uno tras otro a atacarme porque sí.

    De verdad, que asco de juego. Nada mas que ir a fuertes en todas las misiones, ir a mas fuertes a bajar tu nivel de recompensa, mientras tanto mercenarios que te vienen, nivel de búsqueda que no baja y para colmo, ciudadanos griegos DEFICIENTES a los que les da por atacarte cuando ven que estás destrozando a medio ejército ateniense. Viniendo incluso a darte puñetazos y sin parar, uno tras otro.

    Tengo una misión principal de Pericles que en realidad son 3, dos de ellas ir a un sitio a coger algo/salvar a alguien, lo que no deja de ser ir a MÁS FUERTES a repetir otra vez lo mismo. La tercera misión me pide ir a hablar con alguien, que seguramente me pida ir a algún FUERTE a salvar a algún colega.

    Me han dado ganas de ir a la oficina de Ubisoft a darles de %#$£! a ver si se les despierta un poco la variedad de ideas.

    22 horas y ya me ha cabreado esta basura de juego. Encima las ciudades están VACÍAS. No hay NADA que hacer, no motiva la exploración. Menudo montón de EXCREMENTOS.

    Con la repetición de la palabra FUERTE en mi post he pretendido transmitir el HASTÍO que produce esta BASURA de juego.    … Expand

    The game breaks all "Assassin`s Creed" rules, logic, plot, etc. Please, if you like earlier Ubisoft`s production, don`t buy any of modern games of this publisher

    Well this sucks. let me explain, i am a huge fan of the AC series and have played all the games in the francise (minus the porteble ones). Now i know i am like 2 years late to this party, but hey beter late then never right. When AC Origens was relesed i was not sure i would like it but i did. Sure it has flaws but it change the franchise, it was a new AC experienc and one i was ready toWell this sucks. let me explain, i am a huge fan of the AC series and have played all the games in the francise (minus the porteble ones). Jump forward to Oct2, 2018 releas date of AC odyssey. i started playing the game AND, god was it bad. It tok me almost 2 years to finish the game. Its not becaus i am slow or becaus the game is hard its becaus it continuesly stops your progresion thru the story. I constantly faound myself not high enuf level to continu the story. Now i wouldent care about that if the amount of XP you get was fear to the amount you ned to level upp but its not. It takes so long to level upp, and the only way to do it in a desant speed is to do side quests. I dont mind this, if it wasent for the fact that the sidequests are so **** boring. All you do is go to this stranger and talkt, they need help with som boring task witch for the most part means go there kill that guy or girl ore talk to that guy ore girl. Now i know other RPGs hav thes cind of sidequests to but you dont have to do like a **** milionn of them to continue the main story of the game. See this game isent long. but it feels long becaus you have to do **** bissey work to continue the plot, witch is boring as **** to begin with. Not ones when i playd this game did i care wat happend in the story, not ones did i care about the carecters, not **** once did i ask myself wow i wonder what happens next. that is why it took me soo long to finish this game becaus i got bored. A good RPG is suposed to draw you in with ist carecters and story, THIS is not a good RPG. This sucks. To finish this rant of i want to say with (A boring story that gets interupted, sidequests that feels mandetory insted of somthing fun, boring charecters you dont care for, a broken level upp system that takes takes to long to level upp) This game sucks. Oh and let not forget the 50% EX bost you can buy for real world money, witch you need to get desent experinc ore be stuck in the **** grind that is this pice of **** **** game. But hey here is hopping AC Vallhalla changes things.… Expand

Некоторые даже по 7раз(блэк флэг) мне даже понравился синдикат в какой-то мере, но на ориджине я уже не вытерпел ибо там плохо все, думал пропустят год и я соскучусь но неееет надо опять все запороть. Лучше бы вы показали watch dogs. Я корочь иду в рейд на Азазию, собираю тиму и лечу мочить этого хуесоса.… Expand

    Can honestly say after playing all realised assassins creeds (including chronicals of India China and Russia) I have concluded that even the 2d assassins creed games have better mechanics for climbing and battle and I am 110% sure that this is the worst game put together in the huge ammount of time it took the team to produce this pile of sh*t. Anyone who worked on this neeeeeeeeds!!     Only 1 pro:
    - Open world visuals (sunset, sunrise, world design , water... etc)
    Cons: - Multiple bugs that really affect gameplay : quests that apprear and expire before they can be completed, lootboxes that cannot be opened and force quest ot fail, - AI programming . When wild animal attacks NPC , if you will try to help and attack it (animal) , NPC will start to attack you    Only 1 pro:

    - Main characters movemen animations are clunky and unnatural.
    - You can climb everywhere , which converts classical maze-type map into "flat field" map, cause you just going straight forward to your current marker all the time.
    - Game enforces insane amount of monotonous grinding , pushing player to buy additional boosts .
    - Presence of constant feeling that you are working , instead of playing game.

    This game is bad. And I will tell you the main issues that makes it so bad.

    First technical issues : Horse is bugged like I've never seen it, glitching in the bridges or rocks, never jump. The worst is that it can't follow properly a road even though the Witcher 3 did it perfectly 5 years ago!     The game is poorly optimized, I have a pretty good computer (decent quality on the witcher 3, AC Unity, other games), it's not the best computer but it works fine and is able to manage a heavy game. With Odyssey I dropped the graphics to the lowest, the game looks like a PS2 game and it's still lagging !!! I mean the terrain is worst than Skyrim's at this point!
    Good transition, the textures are ugly. Not because they aren't of good quality when you turn the graphics on, but because they're shoddy. Look at the male main character, whatt's the problem with his eyes ?
    The AI is still stupid, people think that using math to force you using a certain number of hits to kill someone is creating difficulty and challenge, but it's actually just boring and none realistic in a game that wants to be as much realistic.
    Realism in the game is just killing all the fun, caves so dark you can't see a thing, characters too much like "everybody" , ... . The characters lack epicness ! I don't want to play aybody, I could just be myself in real life, the graphics and latency are unbeatable. I want to play an assassin

    Game issues:
    The story is boring. The reason is that if you can decide the end of every quest, decide too much things, there s actually no story... It's just a sandbox, and I like sandboxes but they aren't no game.
    The controls are so frustrating and poorly chosen !! seriously, Y to assassinate, RB to hit? X to dodge ??? I mean you want to dodge and assassinate quickly, choosing the buttons that are the furthest from your thumb IS a bad choice, it's purely basic ergonomic logic. RB is in my opinion a bad choice for spammable actions because it forces you to move your hand in a none intuitive position but that's less objective.
    Bow does no damage, assassination are not worth it bec
    There are the same problems with freerun there was in Unity (haven't played Origins nor Syndicate): whan you want to jump between roofs, cross a fence, an obstacle , ... The character stops, cross the obstacle slower than if it was walking, and then have to run again. I thought the point of free run was to cross obstacles quickly and escape from the ennemies ??? It's so not worth it ! Every ennemy will catch up .
    The story is just badly told, the introduction of the character is with flash backs inside the animus which is basicly a flash back. The main character is a stereotype of "fighter with a heat" like Rob Roy, Bruce Willis in most of his roles, ... . But it worls in latter movies because the hero is struggling. Given the broken abilities of Alexios/Kassandra, I just don't buy it.

    Issues related to the franchise:
    This is not an Assassin's Creed ! No assassinations, free run is useless and painfull, fights feel like a cheap the witcher 3.
    The point of Assassin's Creed was to hide a story behind well known historical events and figures. I don't know why every spartan in this game speak like Kratos or the spartans in the movie 300 but it's so wrong. Sparta had 2 kings, slaves and all free spartans were poets aside being warriors (and there are much more errors).
    Assassin's Creed games worked around different phases : assassinate, run away. It's okay to try reinventing the game, but wether your really change it or you don't change it at all. The skills feels useless, not really damage dealing. They are forced into the game without necessity: in the warrior tree, the first 3 skills are kind of similar but not really interesting, just flavouring the fights.

    To sum it up : just play the witcher 3, it's much better.
    2 things are really interesting though : Ikaros is so great : technically and in the gameplay, so useful, such a great eagle vision! The armor designs are reallyg good. Lacks some variety but yet really good.    … Expand

    Прошёл игру на платину и могу сказать что игра очень большая, но абсолютно пустая. Прошёл ее полностью только из-за того что люблю гринд, но даже для меня его тут было слишком много. Сюжет очень слабый, перепроходить никогда бы не стал, побочные квесты просто дрянь, ничего не запомнилось. Когда проходил дополнения, меня уже прям тошнило от однообразия и кривых анимаций, благо диалогиПрошёл игру на платину и могу сказать что игра очень большая, но абсолютно пустая.     To put it simply they need to stop making Witcher 3 clones and start making Assassin's Creed games again. The game uses an RPG style level system that is poorly balanced and fighting one enemy only a few levels higher then you will take 5-10 minutes. Level scaling is also always on with no way to turn it off which shows how poorly balanced the game is. In games like the Witcher 3 levelTo put it simply they need to stop making Witcher 3 clones and start making Assassin's Creed games again. In games like the Witcher 3 level scaling is an option, but the defult is off, and you only really need to turn it on for new game plus. The witcher is a leveling system done right, this is not. The combat is also boring and like I said above, you will need 5-10 minutes of strait hitting a guy to kill an enemy a few levels above you. The world is also boring and samey. There are very few instantly recognizable places. The side quests in that world are some of the most uninteresting and boring things to ever exist. The side characters are boring and uninteresting. The story is also boring, generic, and uninteresting. And it's more of a personal thing, but I don't like alot of strait up magic in my Assassin's Creed. Alse the end game is incredibly grindy. I think Ubisoft should make this a biennial franchice. Give each game more developement time and space them out a bit more, and try to go back to classic Assassin's Creed. Using the newer and better technology available they could make a classic style AC game set in the days of Genghis Khan in the Mongal empire, the Mexican Revolution, the Spanish Inquisition, futile Japan, any time in Russian history. Just make the game take place after Origins, but before world war2, and make a game styled after AC 2 and Brotherhood, just please stop with the sh*tty witcher clones.… Expand

    Não inovou em nada.. virou um RPG perdeu a identidade da franquia... Enredo arrastado e sem graça. Personagem principal sem carisma marcante como os antecessores. Os gráficos são muito inferiores ao do Assassin's Creed Origins q é o melhor da franquia na minha humilde opinião.

    INSANE amount of level gating so you have to complete like 20 bland side quests to play the main story and the reason why they do this is to force you to buy XP boosters so you have to skip the game if you pay about 10 dollars

    Total Crap!!!! Fight system is garbage. They turned this game into a RPG crap! I was a fan of AS 1 e 2. Didnt believe when I saw the **** Ubisoft turn it into! Tota Crap. If you like realism and immersive games, dont buy this garbage.

The game immediately pulls you out of it as if it's giving the player and the entire franchises stealthyTHIS GAME IS NOT AN ASSASSIN'S GAME GAME! this game not just abandons tge Assassins and Templars the franchise got its fans used to and love but also abandons many of what made this franchise good, to begin with you can't even take a leap of faith into a haystack and stay hidden! The game immediately pulls you out of it as if it's giving the player and the entire franchises stealthy gameplay a giant middle finger, boring story and character, grindy rpg BS that makes the game even more boring somehow, a giant empty map that was designed to do nothing but waste the player's time without actually doing a missions or "story" progress, but rather make you run or ride a horse for minutes just to get from a point to another, I honestly would rather play AC1 over this game or even AC Bloodlines on the PSP!     This game is a disgrace to Open World games and this in my opinion is the worst of them all

The traditional one shot assassinations now only deal half the damage and no longer kill someone instantly and the story is somewhat boring. I could probably get into it if the main quest didn't require 5 hours of side quests to get to the level you need to start the thing. Some of the characters are interesting but I do have a question. Why make the player choose between 2 characters if you only really care about one? It just screams lack of dedication. Not only that, but the same character model is used again and again, oh look this pirate woman is a priestess now on the same island! And the mercenary's make no sense as they can track you instantly despite being over 5000m away from you at the time and just randomly stalk you, phones didn't exist back then so it was word of mouth or letters and neither of these were implemented. The gems and rocks you are me at to collect haven't been designed well either, they morph into walls so you can't reach them but ping anyway. It could be ignored by some but annoy the living daylights out of me. This shouldn't have been labelled as an ac game as it holds no resemblance to the franchise. Origins was nice because it was a new game style but even then the replacement of Eagle vision with an actual Eagle was pushing it. Now eagles are the eyes of the characters with no explanation for how this happened. Don't get me wrong, the characters look great with Alexios having very kind eyes and the facial expressions being amusing, but the game feels like it was rush produced and kind of shows that. Now there's also an emphasis on tombs, like the Greeks were all lara croft and possessed magic. I'm going to be honest and say that the modern story is lost on me at this point. I have no idea what's happening and each game seems to be standalone to me now. Not only is the game incredibly repetitive, there's also a very large amount of bugs that just cause the game to crash or break that don't appear in the previous installments like unity or syndicate despite being played on the same console. Multiple forums online also attest to these bugs appearing across multiple platforms and countries so it can't be the console itself. I could go on and on about why this is a bad game but that would waste more of my time and I think enough of that has been used on this game. The story line is forgotten when you are forced to level up before playing and the exploration mode is illogical when it essentially guides you to the marker anyway. Do not fork out full price for this, I wouldn't even bother as you will just become frustrated unless you like meaningless combat and time wasting. For a game marketed at £40 on release, it barely rivals the early xbox original games as games like the original fable would be a more enjoyable experience.    … Expand

    like for instance, the bandit camps are copypasted. EVERY bandit camp has the exact same layout clucked everywhere over the map. The naval combat is mindnumbing as hell just like the combat. Every enemy is basically a damage sponge.

    Everything the franchise was based on is completely thrown out of the window. You don't have a hidden blade, there is no creed or templars even. And the inclusion of magic is godawful; what even is this? Suddenly i am able to magically ignite my sword or smear my axe with poison with sheer magic?!. I remember when they removed a crossbow from AC 1 just because it was not historically accurate.

    furthermore, the choices are a ridiculous addition. your playing through someone's memories through the animus. Why in the hell should you be able to make choices?
    Parkour is also garbage and completely removed. you don't even have to find a path anymore you can just hold your joystick forward in combination with X. And you just walk in a straight line over rocks and everything.
    hunting is also awful, killing a bear or something is not even a challenge, but a one hit. IT IS A **** BEAR! you should be fighting for your life!

    and the most awful of all is the removal and massacre of stealth. Why remove social stealth? why remove haybales?
    I simply do not get it

    In conclusion, this might be the worst game I have ever played in my life. And I have for the life of me nothing positive to say about it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Alright so I am entirely re-writing this review after having put in probably more hours than this game is worth. Which makes me incredibly sad to say honestly. The amount of pure potential available in this particular release is so incredibly immense and the fact that it feels so rushed in so many places. I want to love this game so much I can't think of a way to properly express myself in some sort of composed manner and not looking like well a mess.
    While there is indeed a lot of very good and really fun things in this game, the story and characters feel for lack of better wording, flat and uninspired for a grand majority of the game. So, I would like to say in regards to my review and previous now redacted review and before I continue further, I have the overall same viewpoint as I did before that the game is not worth the money unless on a 75% or more sale for just the base game as the DLC is well... Bad, really bad.
    So as for overall game play, the game is really enjoyable. It's relatively intuitive and easy to learn. So if you're relatively new to the RPG genre or just want some (most of the time) fair but punishing combat, stealth and an open world "sandbox" that you can do a rather absurd amount of things in. You'll probably have a pretty good time with this game.
    However, if you are coming into this game wanting to have a deep story with fully developed characters and dialogue choices that matter. I would suggest you move on and probably play something like the Witcher series. Kassandra/Alexios as a base character give you nothing to really work with as a player or character motivation until you get into the main story line. But if you are to go ahead and just say "Oh well, then it's fine right?" you would be wrong. For what reason does Kassandra/Alexios have to pursue the contract given to you by Elpenor? You gain nothing aside from by pure coincidence a way off of Kephalonia. (after having maybe set a plague loose on the entire greek world, good job btw... I actually really loved this feature and it gave me a ton of hope as to what was in store for this game)

    Alright so, I have very little aside from what is stated above up until we get up to meeting with our real dad. Well that's not true, because part of what decides if you get a true good ending comes well before this, actually really rather close to the beginning of the game in the grand scheme of things. Yup I'm talking about how you kill the Monger. Kill him secretly? you're gonna get the true good ending as you'll be saving the greatest amount of people. Kill him in public like the rat he deserves? Well I guess you're out of luck and you are forced to kill Lagos the Archon. An innocent man blackmailed into doing the cults bidding because they kidnapped his wife and child. Bet you feel like a real douche now, huh. WELP there is no way to undo this unless you wanna replay the last 50-75 hours and lose all that time you spent leveling and getting gear, boy that's sure a shame.
    Now onto how you interact with you're real dad, Pythagoras... I HATE, the interactions with him. WHY THE HELL DO YOU FEEL OBLIGATED TO HELP HIM AT ALL? He has done nothing for you, not even once as far as we know and will ever know. "Yeah dad, thanks for the eagle. Pretty neat trick" ????? Also if you choose the dialogue option "You haven't earned my help." Alexios/Kassandra act all angry and Pythagoras gives you zero response to that anger as you're just some child throwing a temper tantrum. You are never given a real, meaningful reason to pursue helping them or even giving a damn about Pythagoras he's just suddenly there. After everything Kasssandra/Alexios has been through, you don't think they deserve SOME if ANY compassion or explanation upfront? But no, that's okay don't worry about all that I guess because that is totally not what some rational and normal human being would do.

    I'm going to skip over ALL of the scenes where we are controlling Layla as they are really just pointless in this game and serve no purpose what so ever really other than to remind you that "Yeah there's plot here, you just have to find it lmao." Even when there really isn't any real plot involving her or anything she is doing at this time. All of those scenes feel incredibly forced as if they were an after thought as the developers seemingly realized that Desmond leaving the animus a few times in the original series happened and received a fair amount of praise.

    TLDR; garbage game, honestly, what a way to kill a franchise. the critic reviews are ONLY reviewing the shortened part of the game for review, NOT the FULL game.    … Expand

The "Ancient Greek" setting is utterly pretentious and overstated for the simple reason that the majority of the story revolves around personal problems, money and bandits, thus making the historical setting more of a gimmick than as genuinely deep and educational as God of War, for example. What I mean is the Mythology and History is never deeply explained, it feels more like an annoying child dropping names for attention, when all the adults know full well that the child doesn't understand what theyre talking about. What quality there surely is has already been done to DEATH by other games, including other Ubisoft games... A fine example of "games as service", we are sold this '"minimum viable product" skin and bones while the meat and veg are hidden behind DLC pay walls. I would personally argue any huge fan of this game doesn't understand the games industry and has no appreciation for better games, otherwise why would you play this to be frank... The only motivation to carry on is to finish it off once and for all and never think about it again. This game doesn't have anything to do with the AC saga and the creed itself.     Although there were great animation and ancient historical visuals, the story was extended for no reason to become exciting. Plus, the side missions are much much boring while the game forces you to finish them due to the awkward level system .Travelling could become a torture despite of great landscape on the road.

Вкачиваешь скилл, прожал, ждешь кд, мансишь, жмешь кнопку и по новой. Вот и весь файт. И чем больше твой лвл тем легче отлетают враги и даже скалирование не помогает особо. Из плюсов это норм оптимизация и отсутствие багов. Купить конечно можете, блевать не будете от нее но и кайфа никакого не получите.… Expand

    The fighting mechanics and open world are fun, the animation and story presentation is terrible. I wish they paid more attention to the quality while making the game. I didn't like PS4 pro performance.

    Think of a game. Tons of ridiculous side quests are required to finish the main story. Despite everything, you play by raising the level. You play the game for about 50 hours, but what do you see? Ubisoft said "If you want to see the end, buy DLC. Otherwise, it's not game over."

    this game is decently fun but at around level 30 it hits you with a 10 level grind session before the next mission. it takes about 10 hours to level up once. not exaggerating.

    One of the worst games Ubisoft has ever made. yeah technically "everything works", but this game has absolutely nothing to do with actual AC series, other than name. It's just random RPG that takes place in Greece, story is awful by the way. Level scaling is one the worst things ever invented in gaming, so yea. Valhalla is million times better game in every way possible. Valhalla has allOne of the worst games Ubisoft has ever made. yeah technically "everything works", but this game has absolutely nothing to do with actual AC series, other than name.     You need to save after every kill, or fort eliberated? It's 2022 why? I've spent 20 minutes on a fort just to get killed after I finished everything....not cool. This is crap game

    - Clunky animations - Very poor facial animations
    - Missions feel like chores - Unwanted identity politics Basically a Witcher 3 ripoff without a soul. Not for AC fans.

    Good spots:
    1. Open world video game.
    2. Weapons and costumes were interesting.
    So nothing else.

    Verdict:
    Too much mistakes, un recommendable video game to play, and it wasn't worth buying it.    … Expand

    - the spongy enemies are back and it is even worse now, as some of the Mercenaries that come after you can take five minutes of straight DPS so you are going to be fighting a single enemy for about ten minutes, if you include dodging and strafing
    - the microtransactions went from bad to abysmal as every part of progression is either a disgusting grind or pay five dollars for 150%XP boost for two hours

    Want to hear the best joke the series ever told? Assassination damage builds in AC Odyssey. The level based assassinations are back and they are as dumb as ever. Upon pressing the assassination button an animation plays. In this animation, you could see your character stab someone sixty times then set them on fire then poison them then let a lion tear them to shreds and then drop a nuke on them. And they get hit for five percent of their max health.

    But wait, this game has melee damage builds, ranged damage builds and assassination damage builds. Surely if I build assassination damage I can kill people with my assassinations. Yeah, no. In fact you are screwing yourself over completely if you build like that.

    I mean, you will do fifteen percent of their health instead of five but guess what? They are still not dead. And now they alerted the whole camp. So you either have to fight or run. Oh you want to fight? Dummy you built assassination damage not melee damage. So the enemies that are spongy for the melee damage builds are a nightmare for you. Now instead of just the Mercenaries taking five minutes each, all of the enemies will take years off your life.

    Now I am going to make a controversial statement. Ready? Interact button should be an interact button. OK? Let me repeat that. Interact button should be an interact button. Do you know what I don't want to do? I don't want to run up to an NPC and jump instead of talking to them. I don't want to crouch instead of talking to them. I don't want to use an item instead of talking to them. And I certainly do not want to track a nearby non-essential NPC and put my knife through their neck. Of course not killing them but now they are hostile as well as the quest giver.

    Whoever thought it was a good idea to make the Interact Button/Assasination Button combo on the controller should be fired on the spot. Like how stupid are you?

    Ok now to the fun part, the microtransactions. When this game drew ire for the amount of ridiculous monetization they came out defending it with the most hilarious lie I have ever seen. The Time Savers are there for adults that don't have time to grind video games. I mean you could do that… or you could just not make the game a grindfest scraping for every bit of progression in order to be tempted into the store. But thanks Ubisoft, thanks for balancing the game just right and thinking about the hard working people.

    Damn this game just pisses me off. I 100% it without ever purchasing a single thing from the store and damn, there are few games that left me emptier than this one. This thing is a hollow shell of what the greater AC series used to be. It is not all bad, as there are moments where I had some fun with the game and I clearly had to enjoy some of it to 100% it but wow. The hours put into this title feel like wasted time which is not a feeling I should get after finishing a game.    … Expand

    Why those damned naval battles? Misfortune of poorly made game mode, without sense or reason! Whoever invented these maritime missions in the game deserves to receive cold pizza for life! And more: realism and immersion are necessary, but Alexios' balls detailed when you dive with him is a detail of extreme bad taste!

Como veterano de la saga puedo decir que estoy profundamente decepcionado, para no alargar mucho la reseña haré un breve resumen la historia es lenta y aburrida no engancha y los personajes son muy planos, el combate no se siente para nada bien, la decisión de remover la hoja oculta ha sido nefasta y nadie lo había pedido, las texturas hacen popping muy frecuentemente y los diálogos son bastante irrelevantes. Lo único que se salva es el parkour que está ok, y la exploración que no está mal. En resumen si es tu primer assassins creed y vas con las expectativas muy bajas puedes llegar a disfrutarlo pero si eres un veterano de la saga te recomiendo esperar al Assassins creed mirage (que esperemos cumpla las expectativas).… Expand

    I have never played a game as boring as AC Odyssey. While the game is fun, it's just way to stretched out. 95 percent is just traveling. Finished a quest? Nice! Now go and talk to 3 more people that are far away from fast travel points. I'm 50 hours in and I just can't be bothered to finish the Atlantis DLC because it's so unbelievably boring.

    I cared more for these characters and the world than I ever did in previous Assassin’s Creed games, and I think that’s part of why this reboot is so successful. Playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey left me feeling valiant and triumphant as I worked my way up the cultist food chain, and and I was always excited to see what Kassandra was off to discover next.

    If someone had told me couple of years ago that Assassin’s Creed would become a full-fledged action RPG that would not look out of place on a shelf next to The Witcher 3, I would have snickered. But here I am, over 80 hours into Odyssey and still unable to believe that really happened. [12/2018, p.44]
