    I don't understand how this game is pay to win, they offer microtransactions for cosmetic items, nothing like some other games, but it is free and it is battle royale, I give it an 8 because when I can play it it is fun, but as of this moment it is buggy and I keep getting dc'd for errors but hey that's the pain we put ourselves through in beta and other early access games right? graphicsI don't understand how this game is pay to win, they offer microtransactions for cosmetic items, nothing like some other games, but it is free and it is battle royale, I give it an 8 because when I can play it it is fun, but as of this moment it is buggy and I keep getting dc'd for errors but hey that's the pain we put ourselves through in beta and other early access games right? graphics are good, gameplay is fun, and there is probably going to be more content to come :-)...if you read some other reviews about microtransactions and that **** they are BS.… Expand

    Gun Play: Solid and fun. Bullets hit were I aim and the lack of bloom while ads is a godsend, however some guns need some tweaking to help with the high time to kill.

    Movement: Sometimes slow feeling but overall fluid, so long as you don't get the rubber banding bug.

    Looting/using: A-1! No overly complicated drop/pickup mechanic, using meds/shields is easy and streamlined with a quick decision wheel. No complaints here at all.

    Something different: a couple have done the "free" game route, a couple have tried the class based route, and all want you to pay for cosmetics, but it doesn't make you feel like you need to pay for those cosmetics and make earning them feel achievable, much like R6:Siege. What this game does different is the 3v60 game mode. This style of BR is truly a wonderful sweet spot.

    I am sure they will add some sort of season pass and other game modes down the line, but with a start like this, it is no surprise that many are hopeful for this games "Expand-off-the-Basics" style and bubbly characters and game play.

    Most importantly, wins in this game actually feel meaningful and Apex legends just further proves, that you don't need to spend 60 dollars on a game for it to be good.    … Expand

    It looks like something good can crawl out of the abyss that is EA. When respawn was given the task by EA to make a battle royal game nobody could expect that it would challenge fortnite and blow blackout and its £50/$60 price tag out of the water.     It does things a bit differently to the well established formula and doubles down on squad play which works wonderfully with the 'Ping' system that was a touch of genius, not only are they clear and easy to use but they also mitigate language barriers making squad communication easy.

    As a person who played an insane amount of Titianfall 2 at first I was a little angry that respawn jumped on the battle royal train to probably make a quick buck but I wanted to see their take on it and I highly recommend it is very fun to play with friends and to get to know the characters and choose the ones you like most.

    This game is leaps and bounds better than Fortnite and slightly better than COD Blackout, plus it's free. Visually the game is appealing with nothing really to interesting to look at besides the dinosaurs in the distance. The made is nice but feels small after a couple of games. The gun play is OK as the guns have ridiculously small magazines and clips. There are plenty of guns to choose from but the initial landing seems like a pain as guns are not abundant at certain locations. For example I looted 5 houses in a village area and found zero guns. Character classes are kinda lame and I wish they would have stuck with a create a class system similar to Titanfall. Outside of that, this game is addicting and a lot of fun to play with friends. When playing solo with random people it can be frustrating but the new ping system helps.… Expand

    I like how very smooth the game is. I like how the guns feel. I like the variety of the locations. I like the variety of guns. I like the attachments I can put on the guns. I like the armor and health system. I like the gold rarity. I win a lot. Out of all the battle royale games, I prefer this one. But I would rather not play battle royale games though.

    Apex Legends is a great battle royale. It brings a unique spin with characters having different abilities. Every Match feels like a different experience. Its world-building is amazing. you want to know more about these characters and the world around them. They have been testing a lot of modes to the game.     Its a great game with much potential. But at the time it lacks in content and the skins for the legends are very uncreative. The gameplay feels good. The weapons feel very impactful and sliding down a hill is so fun, epsecially when you are getting chased by the storm. I had a very fun time playing with some friends tho.

Первые пару сезонов были особенно хороши, однако после них по ощущениям игра становилась не такой захватывающей и в нее не хотелось так сильно возвращаться.     My favorite Battle Royale, this game is very fun to play, every character plays differently and they have their own unique abilities, the guns feel great to use, the map is very large and there are many areas to explore, there's a lot of chaos happening in teamfights, it's a blast.

Porém, as atualizações do game deixam a desejar, não possui um balanceamento periódico das lendas, e não possui muitos conteúdos, modos de jogo e eventos para deixar o jogo mais dinâmico, claro que o jogo é totalmente gratuito, mas a desenvolvedoraJogo muito divertido , mecãnicas interessantes e diferenciadas para um Battle Royale novo no mercado, e sem dúvidas é seu grande destaque.     Macht sehr Spaß aber ist voll mit Mikrotransaktionen weil es von EA kommt außerdem gibt es kein Crossplay und EA versucht einen neuen Hype wieder auzubauen vergeblich mit neuen Champions

    Horas y horas de diversión, el tener que formar equipo con alguien mas representa ser cooperativo, sin embargo le falta un modo solo también se demoran bastante en sacar contenido nuevo pero cuando lo sacan lo hacen bastante bien.

    Apex Legends is different from other battle royale games, clearly it has its problems like some weapons are too strong and others are very bad (also happens with some characters), but removing that , Apex shows that it is a game created for more adult people.

    Apesar de ser Battle Royale genérico de sempre, é bacana a jogabilidade, bem fluída e que vicia em certo ponto, joguei por dias, mas já cansei. Está de graça então recomendo para aqueles que faltam verba para comprar jogos novos.

    All in all great game just need a few tweaks and absolutely needs to fix the servers. My ping is always under 50 and I still get kicks.

    While it is not without it's flaws, the free to play model, the fun gameplay and the easy to pick up and play makes it probably the best and most friendly Battle Royale to new players in the market today

    la verdad me da hueva tener que ver a la gente que nada mas pone que no les gusta el juego solo por que no tiene una parte de titanfall ya que literal nada mas ponen mala recomendación y ademas los creadores dijeron que este es un juego totalmente diferente, si en el mismo universo y con unos cuantos crossover pero es diferente. en si el juego es bueno pero aburre un poco

    The gameplay is amazing despite not being anything special, and it feels very smooth.
    The characters are different from each other, some characters can act as support and tank while others are offensive.
    The graphics are good and the audio is great.
    Also, game focuses a lot on teamplay with some unique mechanics and items for communication; you can even revive your teammates when they die. Teamplay can get a bit frustrating at times, but it's fantastic when it works.
    What about the flaws? Well, first of all, there isn't enough content, and secondly, the monetization is a little bit messed up; there are few microtransactions but quite too expensive.

    Pros:
    + Fun and smooth gameplay
    + Diverse characters
    + Focuses a lot on teamplay
    + Nice visuals

    Cons:
    - Not enough content
    - Monetization

    Gameplay: 9/10
    Content: ?/10
    Graphics/Audio: 8/10

    Final Rating: 8/10

    Apex legends is definitely the best of the battle royal genre in a genre that is so overused and tiresome by this point apex stands out as genuinely good compared to some of the other games in this genre and I am becoming a real big fan of the devs at respawn as they put out another great game like titanfall2 and jedi fallen order.

    The graphics are good, the music is great, and the gameplay is fun. I played it for about 25 hours and than I got bored. I'll recommend it to you, if you're looking for a nice Battle Royale game.

    The game feels awesome today. So much events,new suits and “perfectly” balanced characters.Biggest problem - the servers. They’re still garbage,but Respawn said that they asked for money help from EA to improve their most money-making project. We’ll see if that’s true. For now Apex Legends the best Battle Royal game IMHO.

    Great features: jumping together as a team so the loner doesn't ruin your time. Pinging the map from the game (not the map screen) is an amazing feature than every game now needs. The mods auto-equipping if they are better than what you have and if you have the spot open on your weapon is just such a great feature. And when you switch weapons, it will auto-switch the mods.

    Bad features: honestly almost none. Maybe the reload time is a bit too long? (but that just encourages you to pursue extended clips and rewards those who do) And yeah, the elephant in the room is that EA owns Respawn, but they seem to have their hands out of this one unlike Anthem, which already appears to be a full-priced game with microtransactions. This game does the MTs just like Fortnite, which is totally ok in my book. You can play the game perfectly well with them and enjoy them if you get them.    … Expand

    It's a sharp looking game with a lot of flashy environmental tech that makes you think you're in a showdown in a controlled battle royale, very Hunger Games looking. You get weapons and set-abilities that are all cut out of the Titanfall games (for the most part) that are scavenged on a map that you drop in on with a fixed 3-man team that is controlled by a single player so you can stayIt's a sharp looking game with a lot of flashy environmental tech that makes you think you're in a showdown in a controlled battle royale, very Hunger Games looking. You get weapons and set-abilities that are all cut out of the Titanfall games (for the most part) that are scavenged on a map that you drop in on with a fixed 3-man team that is controlled by a single player so you can stay together easier (or you can split up if you choose with the press of a button and drop wherever you prefer). This game is designed from the ground up to be a 3-man squad shooter/survival experience, so there's no solo mode and queueing up with a group of random people is going to be... rough. Communication, capability, precision, and a little luck is what you need working in tandem to win a game, even just getting to the top 3 squad showdown at the end. Playing by yourself is risky, to say the least. I find myself an above-average player for shooters and survival games and I have a hard time making it more than a few minutes beyond the initial drop if my team dropped anywhere near another team. Playing with a group of friends completely changes the outcome - I typically make top 10 most of the time (haven't landed the #1 spot as of writing this review). Everything about this game looks promising but I don't think it's ready for primetime. Simply not having a solo mode is a mild turnoff and simply copying and pasting the Titanfall universe content and pasting it into a BR map lacks imagination and I'm surprised to accuse Respawn Entertainment of that since Titanfall was fairly creative and unique. There's also only one map at launch and it gets old after a while if you're going to binge this game. Oh, it's only 60 players total which, depending on whether teams fan out or condense at the start, feels like a low population cap as there are games where my team would see zero other players until the final phases. Apex Legends is a nice foundation but it has a lot of work to do in order to really challenge PUBG and Fortnite for BR dominance. It feels a lot like Call of Duty's Blackout mode and that's another problem that surfaces - this game exists already within COD Black Ops 4. Apex Legends might be free to play but a load of people were already playing BO4 and it seems to me that people were fairly happy with Blackout. To put it simply: Apex Legends wants to stand out but after 10 hours of play I don't think it does. If it weren't free I'd never buy it. I have some fun with it and I am confident that RE will work to deepen the experience (classes are very limited at launch and desperately need to be expanded upon) but as of the time of writing this review I don't think Apex Legends is anything more than a flash in the pan. I could be wrong but it comes out during a busy games season that include The Division 2 and Anthem which will be launched just a few weeks after Apex Legends was made available.… Expand

    I never liked Fortnite and i never came around to play Pugs but this game i wanted to try because it came from developers who created Call Of Duty franchise. Graphics are beautiful with huge map and diversified landscape. excellent frame rates on PS4 Pro and I enjoy playing in a squad. My main complaint is there isn't a solo squad which is understandable due to the classes but unfortunate for people who don't wanna play with randoms.     respawn has done a great job with titan fall 2
    I consider this a downgrade.
    i will give it another chance later when there are fixes and patches 3 months at least

Unlike other BR games, you play as a hero (in this case, Legend) with 3 abilities (1 passive, 1 active and 1 ultimate). The max amount of players is 60. The frantic pace of the game means there is no room for being tactical, it's more about run n' gun. The current roster of Legends is horrible. But the ultimate sin is that 2 of the currently available Legends (Caustic and Mirage) are locked behind a paywall or a lot of grinding.

    At least Apex Legends is free to play. There is an in-game store selling 100s of cosmetics and skins. Thankfully there are no pay-to-win loot boxes so far. The real issue is you have to pay to unlock new Legends, and this may prove to be pay-to-win depending on their ability kits.

    Apex Legends has been a big success thanks to Fortnite and PUBG's previous success. The game is good, but Respawn need to address the issues.    … Expand

    Awful character design.
    Very fun to play.

    A better experience without all the PC cheaters, but also needs better frame rate, it's obvious that the game pretty much never hit the target 60fps needed for a decent shooter game.

    The most primitive and simple decision based on marketer advices. Games should be made by genius designers, not marketers.

    So, you decided, that gamers are way to stupid and primitive and chose to make game based on marketing triggers-only. Okay...

    It would be pretty subjective, because I should judge only Apex Legends as a game itself, but I'd do -4 points for your attitude towards gamers.

    SECOND PART: Game itself

    Pluses: Battle Royale can't really excite in 2019. But still can evolve and enhance the experience. Obvious advantages of Apex Legends are team-work(R1/RB-controls, pointing-system, squad-focus) and inventory. You've proven that you actually CAN create a high-quality typical complex ARMA/DAYZ/Tarkov/Any other regular tactical shooter inventory on consoles. It's only about good UX designers you hire. Level design is good as well. One main map offers very different tactical zones that change experience, gameplay, navigation and tactics in general.

    Minuses: something's wrong with the beginning and balance. Sometimes i got killed with only couple of shots while I'm fully armored, full-HP, and also shoot enemy with upgraded close-quarters gun and still got killed without any chances. This **** happens all the time. No matter how well-upgraded you are. There are to many random and injustful deaths no matter how hard you try. it's 100% isn't the matter of bad skill or bad equipment. It's just kinda feels randomly. I also killed full-loaded player with regular pistol with couple of shots without armor. A was taking bullets from Shotgun all the time in close range. What the heck?

    I mean, you really need to fix net-code ASAP.

    And also. Awful character roster. More than half of players are women. It isn't about sexism, but making a shooter/military game where women are in priority - it's kinda looks not okay. I litrally can't take that picture of war, even if it's comic-like and in science-fiction setting. Pay some respect to men who are dying to give their mothers, sisters and daughters a life.

    CONCLUSION:

    Point? What is the point of this game? It really has solid advantages over other BR and is well-polished. But you still could put all these ideas into one big Titanfall 3 game. BR could have helped to increase the popularity of the series. I do understand, that original balance for regular game modes doesn't fit a regular Battle Royale criterias. But you still could offer own original experience. With Titans, Jetpacks, Parkour and low TTK. But you preferred killing TF3 over this overwatch-like marketing ****    … Expand

Also i don't think paid characters are excess, tokens can be accumulated in the game, also usually they are never tier 1, 2 or 3, then everything is balanced.     I like the zipline travelling , i think its ingenious compared to the vehicles in other BR games, so thats a plus.

    Also the game seems to be a huuuge gamble when it comes to landing zones. You can land in an area and only have handguns and random attachments lying around, while the people who landed in the area next to you get Epic tier loot. good luck surving your first gun fight at that point, armed with a popsicle stick and a tissue for armor

The classes are just different enough to make you notice a difference.     I'm not the biggest fan of Battle Royale games due to their inherently repetitive nature, but I was a big fan of Titanfall 2. As a result, the controls made me feel right at home immediately as they are almost identical except you can't run on walls, which is fine because in a game of this type I think that would have been more irritating than fun.     Having said that, there are some issues with the game. First, it's still just another Battle Royale in most respects. They do quite a bit to change up the formula, but at the end of the day it isn't reinventing the wheel, just improving how well it rolls. The changes they DO bring are really welcome in this genre filled with literally identical games with different visuals and one with a um... *cough cough* braindead building mechanic *cough cough*. As someone who, when playing BR games, always preferred squad or duo gameplay, the best change is the ''forced'' coop. The hero shooter style character selection is really interesting and the skills are overall cool and useful when put into the right hands. BUT!!! And there's a big but here... The forced coop means dealing with Call of Duty solo players who don't give a flying F about team coordination. This means that more often than not I find myself with people who haven't the slightest idea how to cooperate with others and, of course, consistently end up dead only moments into the match while I'm left alone with two idiots downed with me incapable of picking up their flag to get the revive because they're surrounded by a couple of squads who are ACTUALLY playing together. This is an issue I've always had with hero shooter type games like Paladins or Overwatch (both games that I really enjoy), where something like a healer will try to be the main damage dealer while charging into a 5v1 situation with me standing by thinking ''in what world does it make sense to take on 5 players alone?''. But... Alot of gamers are selfish in nature and want to be the big top dog but always end up dead because it's not how you're meant to play... Unless it's COD. Skills in this game are best suited for squads who stick together and communicate. The ability to ping items and enemies and all that is great, but it does very little to replace ACTUAL vocal communication, especially since most players don't even really use the feature effectively. I think the forced coop is it's greatest change to the formula while simultaneously being it's weakest aspect. Weird, I know, but when you consider my experience with hero games and the lack of role understanding seen across the board this game is pretty frustrating. I see a lot of people saying a solo or duo playlist would make the game better, but I actually disagree. It's a team game by design... Most of the skills are less than useful when not supported by the powers of other characters, meaning solo would make most of the characters basically useless. Might as well just be another standard BR at that point. Know what I mean, jellybean?

    It's not all bad, mind you! I still give the game a 7 after all! Like I mentioned earlier, the hero selection is pretty awesome in my personal opinion. The gameplay is really silky smooth (at least on my PS4 PRO) and have faced very little in the way of bugs, framerate drops or anything else of that nature. The controls are as tight and sharp as I would have expected from the developers of Titanfall and the overall gunplay just feels right. The environments feel much more original than most BR games with an interesting blend of well connected but different locations. I also enjoy the fact that the matches don't feel excessively long and for the most part you don't spend much time running around without seeing players as the action is well balanced and there's very little downtime. compare that to something like PUBG where you can spend a goddam half-hour without seeing a soul and then suddenly BOOM! you're dead from some dude in a bush half a mile away and you are less likely to feel like the game is an utter waste of your precious gaming time. I also really like the fact that there's always a possibility to bring teammates back to life with a good high-risk high reward type of mechanic. Keeps the whole team engaged in the match even once they've been downed instead of just immediately leaving the server.

    Verdict: This is, in my opinion, the better option for a Battle Royale game with it's actual original take on the genre. Despite the issues with selfish and uncooperative teammates that plagues hero shooters there's alot of potential for fun and good times, especially with actual friends. The gameplay itself is tight and engaging and for the staggering price of 0$ you really have nothing to lose in playing a match or two to see if this game suits your tastes!    … Expand

    It's a fun game with neat characters to play as, I play it a lot with my brother, I usually play Lifeline or Wraith while my brother seems to pick Bloodhound, Gibraltar, and Bangalore (yeah I don't like switching up all that much).
    My only problem with it is how much the characters can cost to unlock but I plan to play it a lot so I guess it's not too big an issue.

I've played a couple of matches so far, and unloaded a full clip into one of my opponents, and got destroyed. Maybe I'm just biased because my first couple of matches were trash. You decide.     I have to admit that I like the overall game because of those features: playing in small groups is a lot of fun and can create a lot of different situations and the heroes having useful abilities helps making the gameplay varied - even though not all heroes are as good, like Caustic being very situational and Gibraltar being very mediocre despite being my most played legend.

    The shooting feels satisfying and I like the weapons that can be upgraded with attachments: makes for a very good way to keep your weapons without tossing old ones, and you can customize them in many ways.

    And the arenas are well done, I really enjoy their diversity and it feels like little battlezones, where you need to remember where's who.

    So why am I giving such a low score? Because the game has, for now, a major issue with teamplayers leaving the game too soon and forcing you to stay with 2, or even alone, especially on pc. I stopped counting the matches where my team just left and I was alone or with 2 members left and in a game about team it can be very hard to win by yourself. However, despite this happening also on ps4, on pc is probably the worst offender: I almost never play a match with my entire team online and as soon as someone dies they leave the game. It's also too common to be left alone entirely which makes the game harder for wrong reasons. And sadly there's no punishment for leaving too early: you can leave at any time and have no repercussions about it, so if you team dies within seconds of landing they'll probably just leave, despite being able to respawn them.

    Again, it's a problem on all versions, but I played plenty on ps4 and pc and so far the pc seems to have the worst case of this problem, while on ps4 it seems tame in comparison. For those reasons I'm going to stick with the ps4 version and just play on pc on occasion. Insert your "PC master race vs console peasant" jokes here.

    when that issue will be solved, in a way or another, then I'll probably return to pc and play it more. Right now I'm just tired to play solo in a BR game...because I can always download fortnite or buy pubg for that.    … Expand

    The game quality is overall above average amount all the PUBG-like games. It's a good idea the game has different characters abilities and is designed as team work game, but no solo match is ruining my gaming experience. Yet, so many people are playing as solo, diving into crowd, getting knocked down, and then they will quit without giving their teammates a chance to revive them.

    I'm not a BR fan but Apex is pretty good if you can pre-make a team otherwise you solo que and are dumped in with two lv4 or lower noobs who die instantly to a pre-made squad of lv50+ try hard's.
    If the game implements a different matchmaking system for random's, duo's and pre-made trio's I will happily up my score but as a solo player I feel a 6 is right (for now)

    The Apex Legends game is another battle royale game that has been quite successful. It deliberately offers something other than PUBG and FORTNITE, only time will show if it will be a real competitor :)

    I am taking down my old post. I feared on what was going to happen when season one came out, that the battle pass will divide the community up more than it originally did, I feared that it was going to have EA take more control then it did in the beginning, and I feared that this game would not have what we hoped for that was stated in the code, although my old post is rubbish now, I don'tI am taking down my old post.     The battlepass right now is massively disappointing, I was hoping that it could, in one was or another, string away from what Fortnite was doing, but sadly, its even worse than Fortnites. First and foremost, if you don't buy the Premium Pass (battlepass) you will only get one item unlocked for every level, but if you do, you spent 10$ on something that could die any second now. In my old post, I said it's not PTP (Pay to Play) but this sparked up a new concept that's being thrown left and right. I call it PTLC (Pay To Look Cool). it may not seem like much, but its basically what Fornites doing, sure you got Apex packs, but those items in that battlepass aren't in the packs, so if your a collector trying to grind for everything, either pay to get said skins, or your out. I am very disappointed in Respawn to allow a style like this to be leaked in a game that has a 35/65 chance to beat Fornite, this definitely caused people to leave, either make a style like fortnite so at least people can have a option, and you get to unlock more. If this doesn't happen, this game can see a major divide and cause players to leave.
    If there is a slim Possibility that EA got involved when that happened, I wouldn't be surprised. At first, they did not expect for a game like this to literally hitting 5 million players on D1. I see two ways EA got involve.
    1. Microtransactions
    this does explain the battlepass issues I just talked about above, and if its true, I won't be surprised if they tweak the Apex Packs, I mean, they did it before.
    2. The base game
    Like any company, EA should've helped in the first place,, many have heard on how little support was held for the game, now its doing really well, they might've tried to take back the pilot seat and choose its new destiny, however this one is unlikely
    I know I said it has EA all over it, but now it might be true, I will be disappointed if this game fails.

    This last one, I will give Respawn a second chance on. The thing is, when we saw the code for possible solos and duos I think we all were jumping up and down like a birthday code. I just want to know why they didn't implement this in the first place. This is where I will give Respawn their second chance, I will allow the possibility of "Maybe its not ready yet" and people did say to take it with a grain of salt. This would've been perfect, new season and everything that we hoped for. Now for the thing, there may not be ranked mode for Apex. People believe that the code was meant for the battlepass, and it would make sense because, well, as I said, it should've released then and there, I mean, it could work well right there.

    I am really hoping that Respawn and EA can fix the issues, as if they are left unanswered, we will see a storm that could kill it. Those are the reasons why I changed my review.    … Expand

    It's good, for an EA Battle Royale.

    (Good things) The ping system is great, especially when you can't or just really don't want to talk to the people in your party. The guns are fun to use. The guns have ammo counters physically on them to somewhat realistically show you how much ammo you have left. The powers/abilities each character gets are helpful if not also fun to use.     No Fall damage is great, in a game like this.
    There are no titans, the vehicles in black ops 4 are bad enough, imagine a titan running around.
    So far at least, there is nothing pay to win about the game.
    There is no friendly fire, finally I don't have to kill my teammates before they kill me every single game.
    It is fun with friends.
    It's free.

    (Bad things)

    There is no solo mode, you have to play in teams of three which unless you have friends you can convince to play with you, means you will be stuck with a random team that tend to run off on their own, leave the game as soon as they die preventing you from reviving them, attempt to team-kill you the moment you find a good item or just because they feel like it, or they will steal the items out from under you.
    The game crashes, after almost every match, if not before the match even starts.
    Armor is a bit too much for me i didn't like it in black ops, and it's even worse here, every time I fought someone it felt like I was shooting a solid steel wall, and if it was the guy with the shield attachment, then it's like shooting a concrete wall surrounded by steel.
    Guns other than shotguns and snipers all feel like pea-shooters, unless you always get headshots you will be doing around 10-15 damage a hit, to people with 200 health, plus occasionally a shield with around 50 extra health.
    With the health and damage the way it is, you can't beat a team of 3 while on your own, unless you attack them while they are in a fight, or pick them off with a sniper, if you are anywhere near them or they see you they will just immediately rush you with shotguns and grenades.
    The melee is just as bad as every other battle royale that has it.
    Pistols and smgs are worthless, you might as well punch them.
    Gun modifications don't really add anything to your guns, other than the sights.
    The effects given by mods are insignificant, I've never noticed a difference between having a white barrel, or when I have a purple.
    The guns are all obvious reskins of other existing or in-game guns, Prowler is a P90, p2020 is a generic pistol, Wingman is a slightly thiccer generic revolver, Devotion is an m249, G7 Scout is an M14, etc.

    And "high risk loot" areas dropping pistols and smgs, while "low risk loot" areas drop Longbow's, and G7 scouts makes no sense to me, I've had this happen a few times now.

    Graphic: I don’t no why, but on my PS4 and on my friend’s PS4 there is very bad FPS. Really, why? Also there is very bad graphic.

    Music: It is just a music. It is not something good. Music as music.

    Gameplay: Oh my God, this is so bed. The creator tried to make team play in this game. Well, he lose. There is no team play, don’t much weapons, bed map, that was designed by chicken.

    To be fair this is a pretty enjoyable game and well-executed to boot. I don't like Battle Royale games so it didn't really hook me but if you enjoy the genre you should give this one a try for sure.

    It has a decent variety of characters and skills (the game is also update and adds more) and the weapons are also satisfying to use. At the end of the day, it's just another Battle Royale,    To be fair this is a pretty enjoyable game and well-executed to boot.     I had fun with this game playing with friends, but that's not much of a compliment. Apex Legends is competent at what it does, nothing more. As a result, the game is as good as your friends.

    It's free, so you might as well play it with someone if you have the time. Just don't try it by yourself.

    i don't understand why people compare this to fortnite it's nothing like fortnite if your coming from fortnite and your good at fortnite and expecting to then be good at apex your wrong the games is awesome but it's different from fortnite just had to say it.

    The best shooter on the market currently. The gunplay is a bit too fast, and the grind is kinda silly to get new characters.

    Ultimately, it doesn't do anything great, it is merely good. But I'd rather play this to scratch my shooter itch over COD or Battlefield.

    Pretty fun but way too much grinding involved to get any wins. One of the better battle royales as theres different playstyles between the characters.

    It's early days and I'm sure that along the line, there will be updates that improve the game. However, for now, Apex Legends is an extremely fun Battle Royale game with a few interesting twists. But, it is incredibly buggy and limited as of now.

    so here we are.. Titanfall 3 was sacrificed on the altar of comerce after titanfall2 was such a good single player game. but thats not what EA wants from a game they want player driven content free of any burden to write story or to create cutscenes and develop a plot. SO here we are.. the newest clone of Fortnite and overwatch minus the builder function but as a hero shooter.

    i am very sure it will find its fans since the shooter is actually workig and functioning quite well.
    apart from some inconveniences like not being able to play the tutorial as something other than the medic its been a solid but very limited experience on launch day.. the fact that its free to play further sparks the spreading of that title, its for players that have been too late for the Fortnite bandwaggon and want to start their own hobby as a streamer and "contentcreator" in a desperate shot to make this a living and somehow be the one of the guys that can generate an income with that new game.. (make no guess about it, the game even has the tools for them build in from launch.. )

    (i wished the servers of Anthem would have been as thoroughly tested for the vip demo than the server architecture of the robust apex legends launch. But also do not mistake this as anythign other than it is.. it is a pocket money dispenser , aimed at your money for skins and cosmetic upgrades.. which is fine in it self and i really hope on the one hand that respawn gets the money they need to finally make that titanfall 3 game but i also fear that if Apex makes too much money , EA will force Respawn to stick with that boring system.

    dont get me wrong, if YOU like Battle royale, its awesome for you.. i dont play video games to make my character look like dipped in pink ink with bright green weapon skins. and i do not need to compete in video games tohave a sense of "accomplishment".. i am not a PvP guy and i find very little interest in those game modes compared to a captive story driven environment like for example Halo, "Last of us" or "Enslaved, odyssey to the west".. and similar games..

    so i would love to see more of those games and less of those games that should be an offsrping of those.. i dont mind the multiplayer mode in Last of us, or in Tombraider, since the actual game is there.. but carving out a game mode and selling it as a complete game is shoddy and has brought us the pvp modes of a proper Star wars titles as stand alone desasters in the past and will continue so in the future if people will continue buying into it.

    TL:DR: Apex Legends is technically solid, but has no innovation we havent already seen in the last year, and is clearly create to have EA tap into that lucrative Battle royale market..    … Expand

    Yes, and f2p. after all the battle royals, this one really gives a new experience.
    Smart and clear ping system - it works fine.
    Absolutely comfortable to play with other random players without a voice chat, I thought this does not happen.
    But Respawn did their best.

It "borrows" few things from Titanfall 1-2 but just fails to make me play for longer than 1-2 sessions. It is way too fast-paced for movement and way to slow in-betweenI don't understand this game. I come back to it every few months but every time I am confused what it is trying to be, because it is NOT a Battle Royale Titanfall, that would have been awesome, but this game is NOT that.     Time is fleeting and people love short session games. Each new version of Battle Royale brought something new. This is the fastest session Battle Royale at the moment. Get ready to play with a stupid, passive, noninitiative, deaf, blind, selfish players who were beaten up with books at school when they were learning the meaning of the words "team" and "interaction."     The Titanfall franchise is arguably the greatest online PVP FPS    I am very split on Apex Legends. On one hand, it is the best battle royale currently on the market made by a developer studio that has time and time again proven that they know their stuff. On the other hand, it is a completely soulless, overmonetized project published by (gasp) EA, that yes, should have been Titanfall 3.

    The Titanfall franchise is arguably the greatest online PVP FPS game of the 8th generation of consoles. Titanfall 1 made huge strides in bringing some much needed diversity and creativity to the genre, while Titanfall 2 takes everything that made the first game so great and expanded and improved upon it. It added an actual single-player campaign, and a great one at that. Titanfall Assualt was a one-off mobile game that released in 2017, but it is a very loose relation and it should not be tied to the two other main games in the franchise.

    And here we are. 2019, and we did not get Titanfall 3, but instead a multiplayer only, always online battle royale game. There is no single player campaign following the events of Titanfall 2, there are no Titans, and the movement that made the previous game so great is largely absent. The disclusion of these things is baffling, and I have a feeling that EA felt that they should play it safe instead of innovating in the genre that needs innovation most.

    Titans in the game could have been implemented in one or both of these ways:

    1. Each character has a unique titan on a cooldown separate from their L1 and L1 + R1 abilities
    2. There are titans scattered all around the map in various high-loot locations

    The Titans would have to be far weaker than in previous entries, only having about 1/3 of the health and take damage from all weapons. Their firepower would have to be significantly toned down as well, with their various weapons only doing the damage of normal weapons, if not slightly more. The inclusion of Titans would not only add depth and longevity to the game, but it would make the game a more fun experience for everyone.

    Advanced movement such as the movement present in Titanfall 2 would alleviate one of the major problems that I and many others have with Battle Royale games in general: the map being too large. Large maps mean long stretches of mindless moving from location to location, and if Titanfall 2's momentum-transferring system was implemented straight into Apex Legends, the game would be infinitely more involved.

    A campaign in a battle royale game has not been done before to my knowledge (No, I do not count Fortnite, as the campaign was not created with a battle royale mode in mind), and there is incredible potential for one here. Imagine the possibility for individual character backstories and how Respawn could give us more reason to care about the "why" behind the battle royale mode. These two modes could be tied in incredibly, and once again, the relationship between the Pilot and the Titan would be a main focus of the story. There is arguably even more potential for amazing setpieces here, as the campaign could even see you and your titan working your way through the Battle Royale map. Future Battle Royale maps could also mean future side stories as the game gets new content.

    However, I need to give credit where credit is due, and the weapons all have that feel that only Respawn could deliver. A large portion of the game's arsenal of weapons and grenades are brought in from previous Titanfall games, which, of course, it's a shame that we didn't get completely new weapons, but I am satisfied with the new ones that we received. The new Prowler SMG and Peacekeeper Shotgun were particularly satisfying, and the Arc Star rework was unnecessary but appreciated.

    The way that armor was implemented is a breath of fresh air for the genre, as it is noticeably more abundant. Inventory space has also been increased from games such as Fortnite, and can be increased further with higher quality backpacks. This is a great change, allowing for more tools to be carried by players to use in combat or otherwise.

    The mechanic which allows for a shield to be put up when your legend is in a critical state is completely pointless. Melee attacks negate the shield completely, and most people only wait to kill off critically wounded enemies until they are out of combat, if they do so at all.

    Monetization is another area where the game falls short. There is no progression system to be found; any and all cosmetics obtained must be either bought with IRL currency or obtained through a slot machine. It seems that no matter how much EA is scolded for their anti-consumer policies, they turn around a week later and stuff even more of them into their games.

    So overall, I would have to give this game a 5/10. Respawn's creativity and vision for this IP is at times overshadowed by EA's greed and unflinching agenda.    … Expand

Die. Then back to lobby. The reasons I gave it a try were due to the comparison to Overwatch and that it was made by Respawn. I enjoyed Titanfall 2.     It just gets so boring after 2-3 games I just didn't enjoy the fact that you have to pay for characters. Of course, EA ruined a BR

    During its first couple of months after release, I probably would've given it a 10. Since then though it has progressively gotten worse. Half the guns in the game are just straight-up garbage the new map is too spread out with no top tier places to drop. Kings canyon got worse too after the removal of skulltown.     Purely from a gameplay perspective, it’s the best first person battle royale title out there, and well worth dipping into a year on. It’s disappointing that Titanfall 3 seems further away than ever, but for now Apex Legends will do just as well.

    Apex Legends spices up the battle royale formula with hero-based shooter pizazz and its revolutionary pinging system, which helps everyone feel welcome to the team. Though its Season One rollout has been disappointing content-wise and its visual flair remains bland, Apex Legends still has the solid foundation necessary for a free-to-play shooter to survive in the long run. And with 50 million players reached in its first month, it's not like it's slowing down anytime soon. We're all jumpmasters now.

    There are many free to play Battle Royale games out there that are vying for your attention, but Apex Legends takes the genre to new heights with its superb gunplay, Moreish game loop and a superb communication mechanic.
