Bloodhound’s voice actor Allegra Clark and Allegra has confirmed the character is non-binary. On the other hand, Gibby, is actually gay. In his bio it states, "only began to understand the value of protecting others when he and his boyfriend stole his father's motorcycle, took it on a joyride, and got trapped by a deadly mudslide." The gameplay is very great with a lot of assortments of guns, shield, and many mechanics. 10/10.

This is by far the best Battle Royale, it's mix of gun play and abilities that consistently push the player base to improve are fantastic. I've played most Battle Royale games and none have come close to how clean Respawn has made APEX.
While there are of course bugs on big new season releases the devs do a good job of fixing them, or trying to make balancing changes in a timely manner.

Best free game and best battle royale in history so far. The gameplay is super smooth. My only criticism would be the skill based matchmaking, which as a solo queue player, leaves me with suicidal teammates and enemy squads that drip sweat. It would be nice to allow all players off all skill levels to actually duke it out in each casual game. Leave the balanced skill levels to ranked play.

The ping system works well and the game is a huge amount of fun. The main thing that lets it down is other players who either do not want to work in a team. The players that do not play as a team let this team game down, otherwise it can be amazing. It needs a few tweaks and there are balancing issues or kill detection issues, but otherwise it is fantastic. The best Battle Royale I have played.

Now respawn just needs to penalise players who quit early ( when players like me will revive you) and those who do not work as a team. Or maybe add a solo mode for these players to disappear to.

The only reason for a 9 instead of 10 is because there are some connection issues sometimes, and that loot boxes (or Apex Packs, I guess) become kind of sparse at a certain point, but I imagine that the devs will have fixed the few connection issues soon, and since they've announced that a battle pass will be added in March I trust that there will be a lot of cool stuff to unlock.

It's free and it's good. Definitely think about giving it a try.

I never got into BR games before. I think the solo experience often felt as hollow as grinding through CoD to obtain prestige, only then to feel I can't be bothered to go round the clock again.

Apex, somehow, has me hooked though.

Perhaps it's the team play, each character having a few unique perks that can play well for others in the squad, or, perhaps its just that Apex is an incredibly polished game considering its free.

I downloaded Apex within 24hrs of release "just to give it a go" and found myself squandering sleep to get one more round in. I started mic'd up and ready to chat, but found most people don't bother with mics at all, and whilst on most CoOp / team play games this would be a killer, Apex smoothly overcomes that with - what is - an epic means of communication by a simple 'ping' mechanism. It works so well, that I now only switch my mic on to congratulate our team on being the round Champions.

Perhaps my love of Evolve and fact the community died long before my love of it did left a void of good team play FPS, and Apex has filled that void brilliantly. It's incredibly well balanced, no pay to win, and when you finish a round with 10 kills, be it 1st or 10th, you are rewarded for doing so. I don't feel I'm grinding levels to actually get anywhere, I'm just enjoying playing with random people and working alongside them to win. There's often frustration when you are teamed with people that quit on jumping in, or quit on the select menu (presumably as they've not got a 2nd character they wish to play as)... but these are easily forgotten as you start the next round, and a few times I've come top3 even starting with a 2 man disadvantage thanks to quitters.
I've also used Facebook to gain more PSN friends and hook up with them when we're all on - a good idea if you want to make a solid squad, or prefer using mic to pinging (though if you don't learn to ping - then your dead meat anyhow really)

Overall it's a solid 8.5/10. I think the User score of 6.9 is hilarious given people have given it Zero, for a free, very polished, very fun FPS with team mechanics, just because it's not some other game they play, or because it is BR. I do dislike other BR games, but it's less about the BR factor in Apex, it's more about headshots, reviving team mates and sticking together. If your considering downloading it, you've literally nothing other than 26GB to lose, do it and see for yourself - it's a fun game!

I have to admit, I am hating myself for this too. I never got into Fortnite or PUBG because the genre never appealed to me and those games still don't. However, I do like Respawn and was willing to try if for the sake of that. And I'm glad I did. Respawn somehow was able to maneuver around EA's red tape and greediness and develop a good game.

The game is probably one of the best running Free-to-Play games out there. And I don't mean that as a diss. It truly is smooth and the graphics are beautiful. The "team" battle royale feeling adds something to the pot in this game for someone like me who is sketchy on multiplayer games. I feel like their are true tactics I can speak in regards to my team as to how to feel safe which makes the headset I spent $70+ on feel like a good investment for once.

Yes, their are microtransactions in this game, however, AS OF NOW, it doesn't have an effect in gameplay.

My honest argument is give it a try. I don't like the battle royale genre myself, but honestly, even this one got me hooked. Were it not for being by Respawn, I would have never tried it, but I am honestly glad I did. If you try it and don't like it, hey it's free. Go on with your live and live happy and merry knowing you never spent a dime on it. But try it first.

+ the balance is probably at it's best place right now, no op legends , no **** legends. Mirage is still decent despite what people say, you guys are just trash. The guns are also very balanced.
+ the good maps: world's edge, olympus and king's canyon in pub
+ the gameplay stands out the most in apex, it's the smoothest fps gameplay on the market right now.
+ the matchmaking is not that bad like last seasons but im not an expert so don't take my word for it.
+ I like also how every map has a different way to get high tier loot.
+ graphics aren't amazing , but for a free to play game they are still solid enough.
    negatives
    - Even though the battle pass isn't terrible , i am still waiting for a decent one to buy for a couple season's long lmao.
    - storm point just feel like a drag. It's to big and when you get in a fight it's always with multiple squads. King's canyon is aight in pub's but in ranked it's a bit to much. Not bad but by far the hardest map to get a win.
    - connection issues still exist
    neutral point:
    - bring some small pve event back i liked those
    - add some new features or a new grenade or something. We just need something to spice it up after 3 years. Control is decent but doesn't feel new.
    Conclusion:
Apex legends is the best free fps and maby even the best battle royale out there. Smooth gameplay, nicely balanced etc... The only thing the game needs is something fresh and finetuning of stormpoint.
I give apex legends a 9 out of 10 , when stormpoint is back in ranked it will be back an 8 though lmaoooo

Considering the game is free-to-play (with only cosmetic microtransactions) and as a console player, this is by far my favorite battle royale game, and the only one that's managed to hold my attention for over 20 hours. I suspect this game might feel a lot different for PC players, and as time goes on the lack of content might shorten its lifespan. But as of the week of its launch, ApexConsidering the game is free-to-play (with only cosmetic microtransactions) and as a console player, this is by far my favorite battle royale game, and the only one that's managed to hold my attention for over 20 hours. I suspect this game might feel a lot different for PC players, and as time goes on the lack of content might shorten its lifespan. But as of the week of its launch, Apex Legends is a innovative and polished take on a genre that seemed to be running out of space.

The thing I want to commend the most in this game is its communication system. Players can 'ping' items, weapons, gear, enemies, and locations in a style similar to spotting enemies in the Battlefield series. It's very easy and intuitive, which means that players are actually using it often. As a console player who most often plays with randoms, the boost to co-operation has been dramatic. By far Apex Legends greatest strengths lie in the ways it feeds information to the player and allows information to be shared between squad mates.

The map design is at least on par with Fortnite or BLOPS4 Blackout, but I'd argue the map feels more dense due to verticality but also a fair amount of tunnels and shortcuts to explore and exploit. It is challenging to learn all the vantage points you are vulnerable to at any given point, but once familiarity sets in each area presents a satisfying geographical challenge. The map is definitely smaller than those two games, but is more interesting.

Traversal is a big difference in this game, since it lacks Fortnite's springboards or Blackout's vehicles. And it might surprise some that not only are titans missing but even wallrunning from Respawn's Titanfall series. But in my view it lends the game a more grounded feel, aside from the occasional zip-line. So, yes, you mostly just run around the map in Apex Legends but it doesn't seem tedious as much as it is tense.

The shooting is great even if it's not my personal favorite style. Respawn devs used to make Call of Duty, and they carry over a style of shooting that is hyper-accurate and almost recoil-less. I prefer Battlefield's sloppier shooting, where each gun feels a bit different. That being said, hitboxes here are solid and the weapon selection is more than adequate. Also, on-site upgrades help mix it all up a bit.

So give this game a try! My first few hours I wasn't very convinced as it felt like any other BR game. But I found myself coming back and now I can see myself coming back to this regularly as long as more characters and weapons come to the game.

While the gameplay for Fortnite can be fun at times and is fast paced, I hated the building side of things. I'm just not that quick to react. And lets be serious. There is rarely original final battles in Fortnite. It's just build, build, build to not get shot.

PUBG and Blackout are nearly identical gameplay-wise and pace. Gameplay can be fun, but seems more fun when playing with a squad of friends. The pace is slow. Maybe map size to player count ratio has something to do with that. I don't know. I feel like I spend more time out of the games than I do in them at times.

Apex Legends seems to take the best parts of the previous 3 (and possibly others). It's fun and fast paced like Fortnite. The guns feel good like PUBG/Blackout. Throw in some character perks ala R6:S/Overwatch, and you've got a great game! Are you like me and aren't really a mic person? Great! They have a ping system that allows you to mark targets, items, where you want to go, acknowledgements, and more. It's easy to use too!

The game is free to play. Do yourself a favor and try it out. Sure it's EA and sure there are 'lootboxes'. But they are all cosmetic. So just don't buy them.

EA & Respawn took the dynamics of Titanfall, read complaints from Activision's Blackout (COD BOP4) & created an immersive game, right when I thought Battle Royale was on the outs. Very excited to see the extra content that get's added in March, as they have already laid out their plan to add a battle pass with new content basically every three months.

This will be the next game that takes off, so be sure to download it while it's free.

Smooth gunplay, alternate methods of transportation instead of vehicles...I like how you can revive your teammates even after they're killed and the ping system is very convenient. The character abilities are pretty cool and you'll need to use at the right time and place in order to get the dub. I'm personally disappointed that you can't play duo or squad but maybe respawn will change that when they add more legends or something. You can't wall run :(((((( (maybe add lootable magnetic boots for metal surfaces later???) and there are no Titans (add Titans to high tier loot areas, repair kits, repair legend later???).Plus, something's up with Origin's launcher in terms of tracking my hours. I've played at least 12 hours, not 52. A lot of hate for Legends is because it's another battle royale with micro transactions and the characters being annoying (i can sympathize lol. Emo goth wraith saying emo stuff and gibraltar is loud af) and "forced diversity" (just play as Pathfinder if skin color matters to you that much) and EA is terrible blah blah blah. None of the micro transactions effect the gameplay whatsoever--they're purely cosmetic (just like fortnite and PUBG). You can easily get skins for gaining XP. And news flash, developers need money to continue to update their games and pay their employees to make new ones, especially for a free-to-play. Expand

It's not a perfect experience (then again, what is?) but the foundation here is really solid from the roots of Titanfall 2. With enough support, which I fully except given Respawn's excellent track record, this at the moment somewhat content limited game could be fleshed out into a real competitor in the genre.

It's certainly better than PUBG, i can say that.

This game is virtually perfect. If you can get past the association with EA then it's just pure, unadulterated fun. The economy is currently out of whack, but until the battle passes are outlined I am reserving judgement on that front. I've also felt no need to spend any money on it yet despite wanting to. Skins and banners are fun but this game is no Overwatch. The cosmetics on offer simply don't have that same level of polish and panache...yet.

As for the gameplay it's absolutely spot on. The shooting feels great, the movement is incredible (quit complaining about no wall running), and the communication system might be industry changing level good. Best BR on the market.

I enjoyed the variety with each weapon and how attachments are essential to gain the upper hand against another player. How each character is designed to have different abilities that offers a bit of excitement. Considering how it was released out of nowhere the servers are pretty solid, with the exception of lag every now and then. Either the servers are extremely slow as if the world was in slow-motion, or I teleport from one location to another but this is tolerable since it's not often I get them.

The controls are very simple to understand and the mechanics will be easy to master only after a few games. Sliding is actually my favorite mechanic since it helps us traverse the map at a faster pace and the balloons are interesting points to enter the circle when it closes in.

Since it's free-to-play it's obvious that there are micro-transactions but that's to be expected and they're not required in the slightest, just for people with money to spend at their leisure.

This is fun to play by yourself, but even better to play with others since you're always entering with two other people regardless. Once again, it's free-to-play, so give it a try and enjoy the mayhem!

After it launched, I watched gameplay and saw how much fun people were having with it, so decided to give it a shot.

Initially, I wasn't thrilled with the relative lack of mobility as compared to Titanfall, but Respawn gave valid reasons why they didn't include it, and technically this isn't a Titanfall game, just set in the same universe. It took a bit, but I got used to the lack of wall running and double jumping and am okay with it now.

The gameplay is relatively fast, after getting used to the interface and how the game plays (never played a BR game before) it's pretty well laid out and not overwhelming, with a lot of quality of life features that streamline the experience to allow me to concentrate on the gameplay. The Ping system is also great, even useful when you do have mics.

This really does feel like a labor of love from Respawn, as EA was not actually involved in the development aside from funding the game. Respawn wanted to make this and the effort they put in shows, I just hope they can continue to provide updates and content enough to keep the game going strong. As I see it, this game will just help to get more people introduced into the Titanfall universe, which will help whatever future Titanfall game Respawn decides to make.

As each new game drops, they have to quickly find some ammunition and fend for themselves or camp just long enough to rack up some experience to make it to that final ring. So far, there have been some casualties (looking at you Radical Heights), but every game knocked out of the competition eases the path of the juggernauts (looking at you Fortnite) to claim that chicken dinner/victory royale/etc. But newcomer APEX Legends (which dropped on February 4th, 2019) has not only avoided being knocked out by its stiff competition, it’s grabbed some heavy artillery and shotgunned its way to that final ring.

    Technical
Developer Respawn has certainly done their homework when it comes to crafting an appealing gaming experience that rewards daily play but pleases the player by the minute. Playing on the PS4, I encountered very few hiccups with most of my problems stemming from network connections. There is seemingly a dependable laggy beginning to each game with avatars stuttering and puttering to the ground. Usually, that lag does not continue must after touching ground, but it is noticeable. The frame-rate stays pretty constant and the controls are tight, allowing for each match to feel like a failure on the player’s part and not the game’s. I was dropped from a game once due to a crash in the game, but since recent updates, I have not encountered that problem a second time.

    Presentation
At first glance of APEX, it’s easy to make the comparison to its two biggest competitors. It has the cartoonish aesthetic similar to Fortnite and blends it with the realistic/militaristic look of PUBG. While sharing elements of both game’s design choices, it carves out a look and feel of its own. The world looks like it COULD exist but probably doesn’t which makes each round feel like playing in a make-believe fantasy rather than a dire warzone. The game’s avatars, called “Legends”, all benefit from this design aesthetic too. They all have relatable, recognizable traits but at the same time look like they were once sketches existing in a high schoolers notebook: they look like larger-than-life people born to wreck shop in a shoot and loot competition. The game is colorful and fun which is missing from a lot of entertainment these days. It’s nice to login to a world that is fully realized and rekindles the memories of playing with GI Joe’s or watching saturday morning cartoons.

    Gameplay
Now, any Battle Royale is going to live or die by its gameplay, specifically how much we’re rewarded for sticking with the game. Luckily, APEX has hit that sweet spot (initially at least, since as of this review, its Battle Pass has yet to launch) with cosmetic items being able to be won through good-ole grinding or with real money through the ingame store. Luckily, no one is able to buy a game-winning weapon or perk, so everyone is always on an even playing field. There are two unlockable Legends, but they are no more capable of winning a game than the other base six characters. Earning them through leveling up is satisfying and doesn’t take too long. The game also rewards each level up with a currency called “crafting metal” which allows players to make skins and items to customize their banners (similar to a business card shown before each match). At this point, many of the skins and customizers are not “must-haves”, the player doesn’t feel left out or fears being called a “no-skin”. Beyond the look of the game, the feel of it is great too. As mentioned before, the controls are tight with each of the games character possessing a unique ability that allows each of the characters to perform differently while still feeling equal to the others. Some characters allow for mid fight healing while others can call for cover fire. Some characters can teleport amidst the field and others can create bulletproof barriers. No one ability is a sure-win as they do have to be played creatively and tactically, so the game often feels like a rock-paper-scissors duel among machine gun fire and frag grenades. Each match feels so fun and rewarding that as my squad falls, I leave the match ASAFP to join the next game matching up.

    Conclusion
This game is going to change. Characters will be nerf’d; the map will change; new characters will cause balancing issues; and new guns and abilities will eventually change the way we play. Oh yeah, and money, we will all likely be spending money on this game. But Respawn has laid down incredible groundwork that should give players reason to relax and embrace the change knowing it’ll be for the better. This is a game that everyone should be playing or at least trying (it’s free-to-play, c’mon). The game is fresh and offers variety to a tried and true model, and has legit promise to make this a game fit to last years. Give it a try.

I’ve been playing Apex off and on since launch. Over the first few months of its life-cycle I put in a lot of time and played through season 1. For those few who don’t already know, Apex is a hero based Battle Royale made by the Titan fall creators ad set in the same universe. There’s a cool list of characters to play with, each with unique abilities that all help in different situations. There’s a reasonable level of skill to winning, and you must work as a team. As it is a Battle Royale there are RNG elements that can make winning and losing based on luck instead of skill, but that’s part of the fun.
As I mentioned, Apex is the most fun playing in a full party of friends. Playing with random can be hit and miss, if you get a good team who are willing to work together you can get some good games and wins. If you’re matched with morons, who run off, get killed and repeatedly ping themselves, the game can be a nightmare.
It’s odd that they never added a solo mode, which would have been great for those times you want to go at the game alone.
I stopped playing after season 1 and have recently in 2020 got back into Apex. There have been some noticeable improvements, new heroes, a new map and map changes to the original map. There are new modes, timed modes, ranked mode and challenges. These updates have all improved the game and made it feel fresh.
On the downside, the servers can be choppy at times, resulting in lag spikes, packet loss, poor hit detection and magic bullets. In a Battle Royale this is not acceptable. In a game where you have one life the servers really need to be better. Dieing because your bullets wont register or you receive all bullet data in one packet, resulting in almost instant death can be very very frustrating.
This happens at random, you can have a week of great games and connection and then suddenly you’ll have a night of frustration when these issues very noticeably happen.
The Apex store is weak. The items aren’t particularly interesting, they’re overpriced and there’s a very strange system in place using 3 types of currency. One of them is completely useless and can only be spent when a new hero is released, this is the currency you get the most of, so you end up with 1000’s of these credits with nothing to spend it on.
Loot packs are rarely unlocked and usually contain junk, so there’s no desire to spend extra money on them. The season pass is okay, but there’s often nothing worth doing the tedious grind for.
All in all though, Apex is a fun game, the core design is solid and when it works can be exceptional.

Out of all the battle royal games out there, Apex Legends is the most fun I've played. The game's PING system is probably it's most innovative feature as it allows you to communicate with your teammates without ever having to use a mic. This is great for people who don't like chatting with randoms online. Plus, the game is free to play, so there is no excuse for not giving this game a shot.

Gunplay is great. Guns differ vastly, there are MULTIPLE powerful guns to utilize and they pack quite an audio-visual punch, Mobility is fun and very fluid - you slide, gain momentum, jump to slide again and wallclimb. Once you get into a chain of motion, it's very good. And the rest?

It's Battle Royale that fixes my main issues with other BR games. You have fun, engaging respawn system, that really let you build yourself back from a bad start. You have a STUNNING pinging system that let you communicate with astonishing detail without heaving a mic on or listening to some whiny brats. The map is brilliantly made, with both wide spaces, tight building and plenty of verticality. Add ziplines everywhere, dropship and droppods and you get one surprisingly tactical game.

Comparing this to Overwatch is kinda ridiculous. In OV all heroes are very, very unique beings with everything differing between them. Here the passives, ults and abilities are more like... Cherry on the top. Sure, they can be a huge boon when used well, but honestly it's still steady hand, cold blood and good reactions that will win you the game, not any ability.

It's... first BR game that really pulled me in.

Obviously, the comparisons pretty much end with "pre-set Heroes fighting in an ever-smaller map" but it's a solid idea that's executed well by the team that brought us Titanfall. The map creates a really excellent feel of scale with massive cliffs and canyons to fight and navigate through, large and fairly well-spaced constructs, and solid if familiar weaponry (a fair amount of the weapons are copy/pasted in from Titanfall's exisiting armory).

I really enjoy the experience, it feels new and fresh relative to the barrage of Battle Royales, as you can truly feel the developer's experience with FPS combat and gunplay here. One of my favorite parts of the game too is the audio design- rifles crack and bullets hiss, and a firefight in a canyon sounds exactly like you'd expect: rolling, booming thunderclaps, the whip-like snaps of distant sniper fire, and if you add in one or two of the artillery-based "ultimate" abilities such as Gibraltar's precision air-strike, you've got a really engrossing visual and acoustic shooter.

My only hard complaint is that certain character abilities seem to lack general usefulness. While those like lifeline's healbot and Gibraltar's bubble shield are pretty universally helpful, some like Bloodhound's tracking are context-specific.

Grab two friends, download it, and marvel at how lucky we are that games this polished and well-executed are free.

The addition of a class system is really nice, anyone who has played overwatch or rainbow 6 will appreciate the idea of team composition and when picking characters and even with a small selection of legends this still comes into play.

Little things like designating who gets to pick their characters when and the ability to take control of the entire teams drop location means there is a real push on team work.

Further touches like being able to see the gear level of enemies before trying to look their bodies and possibility of legend revival are all welcome change ups.

Overall this game has potential and its already pretty polished. Look forward to seeing how this plays out.

+ movement and gunplay is really, really good. Fortnite feels slow and sluggish in comparison
+ the map is well designed with lots of verticality and variety
+ the game is great at creating hype and generally has more action going on than pubg or Fortnite

Apex Legends is played in teams of three and you really feel that it was designed with teams in mind:
+ the ping System is the best i've ever seen and it makes you wonder why other games haven't done it already, since you can easily communicate everything with just a press of a button, no microphone or chat required (I've had pretty much whole conversations going on by just using the ping system
+ also the revive System is brilliant, as it means if you die you can be respawned (with no loot) and are not doomed to just spectate for the rest of the match
+ the heroes (or legends as they call them) have decent abilities that allow for complex strategies where for example the tank, healer and damage dealer can be devestating when smartly combining their abilities
+ during drops a leader is appointed who can coordinate the team while landing

Now with all the pro's out of the way, let's get to the cons:
Since my friends don't play Apex i have to play with randoms, which led to some unpleasant experiences:
    - despite being a team shooter you will find a number of idiots who will abandon the squad and go on solo trips, who will never mark items and enemies or communicate what they are doing and will never go out of their way to help you and just leave the match if they get downed. These people who are playing it like a solo game are ruining the fun for everyone. Maybe the developer should include a solo mode just for these egomaniacs eventhough solo would be much less fun
    - sometimes there is server lag and connection issues
    - new players being placed in squads with experienced players is a problem since they usually have no idea what's going on and at best get carried along and at worst sabotage the whole team. The game needs are more in depth tutorial (currently it's only 5 minutes long) or a dedicated starter map or starter server for noobs to get accustomed to the game.
    - Apex has lootboxes with cosmetics similar to Overwatch

Overall Apex Legends has massive potential and a really solid basis. It's the best battle royale game despite being free to Play. However, as great as the team play is, having a trash team can completely ruin the experience and will most propably get you killed (having to solo against a team of three is not really a fair match up). The developer needs to adress this in some way or form.
Update: by now they have added the option to remain in squads after a match, which makes it much easier to find and stick with good team mates. Unfortunately season 1 hasn't received great content so far. The only worthwhile thing about season one is a new playable character. I feel like the developer needs to do more to keep players engaged

The game looks incredible especially for being made on the source engine. Lighting is really good and the textures are mostly as well. The only problem i have graphically is some textures randomly popping in and out of the game. The sound design is also really good even though the voice acting can be pretty bad and the music is solid. But lets get to the bread and butter of this experience: the game-play. The weapons are mostly the same from Titanfall 2, with some new additions and some of the old ones are gone, but their is a great variety of unique, stylish weapons to choose from. The shooting is mostly the same as well, and of course it is buttery smooth and precise. The heroes are obviously the biggest part of this game and they are great. Their isn't many of them but each one has a unique role to play and various abilities to help your team or destroy the enemies. The enhanced focus on team-play is a huge change of pace and is greatly welcomed. The map isn't to huge but each area is filled with a different location and the environments are all varied. This game is also very daring, introducing more in depth respawn systems and sliding to move around the map fast. The progression system is pretty good as well and decent stuff can be earned pretty quickly but the heroes feel like a grind. Unfortunately the game doesn't offer much outside of the one mode that it has. I am sure the lack of other content will be fixed but i wish it had a little more out the gate. I also like the fact that micro-transactions are aimed at cosmetic changes versus game-changing weapons, abilities, etc. The characters seem well-balanced and are all fun to play with so far. It is an easy game to jump into and play for twenty or thirty minutes or several hours.
