    The game itself seems fine, though I am finding it impossible to enjoy it without a solo mode available. Being forced into teams sucks.

    This game was great for a long time but devs are more committed to designing unappealing skins and map additions as opposed to spending time fixing bugs that have made the game unplayable. Audio bugs, server issues not being able to see certain skins or choose you legend during loadout. If I could give less than a 0 I would.     matchamking doesnt work as well as netcode. and anticheat. and everything. theres no point in playing it unless you have friends to play with but its better to play anything othr anyway

    These games are STILL being sold AND they get put on sale (on Steam) despite Respawn and EA KNOWING that the games are completely unplayable for 3 years. The attacks stop temporarily EVERY SINGLE TIME a new season or event trailer is released for Apex, but without fail, the attacks restart within 48 hours (usually MUCH less than that.) Respawn claims to trying to sort things out, but so far NOTHING has been done. I'd like to believe that Respawn is actually working on it, but considering how long this has been going on, I have zero faith in them. Either Respawn doesn't have enough staff available to sort this mess out, or it is actively being ignored, either by EA or Respawn, doesn't really matter who made that call if that is the case.

    On July 4th Apex was hacked across all platforms to display a "Save Titanfall" message and disable matchmaking, which was fixed within hours. The second part is exactly what has been happening to Titanfall since 2019. And Apex runs on the exact same matchmaking engine as Titanfall 1 and 2, meaning that the original hacker, who is in this exclusively to KILL THE TITANFALL FRANCHISE IN IT'S ENTIREITY, will likely target Apex once he is done with Titanfall 2 if Respawn does not act. Since Apex is part of the Titanfall universe.

    I was not involved with the Apex Legends hack, I wouldn't know where to begin, I'm a freaking idiot who just wants to play the games I love, besides I'd be just as bad as this guy if I did something like that against Apex. So I'm acting in the best way I can, by writing this and hoping that people will look into this mess and maybe, just maybe, start holding Respawn's feet to the fire so to speak. So I respectfully ask anyone reading this to not support Respawn untill they commit to fixing this mess once and for all and to hold them to it. A few PR tweets aren't going to fix anything. The problem is that Stryder, the matchmaking engine has been completely compromised, It needs to be retired and replaced with something that would render these attacks ineffective. Titanfall 1 was the first game to fall to this hacker, Titanfall 2 is currently on course to be the second, Don't let Apex become the third.    … Expand

I have been stuck at level 11 for 2 days and the game REFUSES too let me passed. Since I've been counting, I have leveled up too level 11 a total of 6 times.     Over 1000hrs invested in this game. Last few month its literally unplayable for me because of constant server-side lags, and every SECOND game i have been trying to start last week gave me error code:net, 5 minutes of waiting in lobby and abandon match penalty. Fix ur servers, EA.

    Fluid movement

    Lots of innovation (e.g ping system)

    Cons:
    Trash servers
    Several bugs
    Braindead meta
    No competitive integrity
    **** ranked system

    Arenas is pointless to play

    This game won't give you enjoyment but will get you infuriated to a point where your day gets ruined. The TTK (time to kill) is insane. You need at least 3 mags to down an enemy. Whoever designed this game' s TTK bs should be slapped in the face. Gone are the days where you kill an enemy by hitting them with 3 bullets. Now you need to use up almost all ammo just to disable them, and oh,This game won't give you enjoyment but will get you infuriated to a point where your day gets ruined. The gunplay audio is also very screechy it hurts my ears even if I'm using Sony Gold Wireless Headset. Gunshots and bullets hitting armors sound like someone is having tantrums while banging a frying pan. The matchmaking is horrible too. It takes 2 hours to find a single battle royal match. Since 2016 I have deleted and reinstalled this game 3 times to my PS4 to see if it has improved but voila it's still **** Deleted it again. I also hate the fact that this does not let you play solo. I am a lone wolf and I hate having teammates who only drag me down.… Expand

    Its impossible to have fun in a game that you are forced to play with two random dudes that most of the time are like bots, sometimes they even leave the game and they arent getting punished for that basically if you don't have two friends at the time connected to play it, Just don't do it.

    This game is fantastic, it's the only battle royal i genuinely like, but this game has crashed over 15+ times the last 2 days, and has crashed 4 times after the patch today. i really want to play this game more, but honestly, this is an actual issue

    Trash, I fear the road gaming is headed to. This types of games are Trash and I cannot understand what people see in them. I tried Fornite.... stupidest thing I wasted a day on. I tried this crap and its just as bad. How are these things popular? Some one please Explain. I dont get it.

    Promising game play is ruined by loot box mechanics and carry over's from Titanfall 2 that simply do not transition well into a battle royale game.

    Sadly that is it. The server management is horrible. 60 ping in 1 game then 200 ping for the    Best Battle Royale game. The only one that feels different. Has the best gunplay and movement in FPS games right now. Has the best innovations like the creative ping system, the first BR with the respawn concept, ziplines, vaults, etc. Lastly, it is currently the only BR with multiple maps.

    Sadly that is it. The server management is horrible. 60 ping in 1 game then 200 ping for the next. Its gameplay (especially in Ass Canyon and Openlympus) is either:

    1. Find nobody until 10 squads left then after you find and fight 1, the 3rd 4th 5th 69th party comes for your necks
    2. You drop hot and die early game (if you survive the hot drop it would be the same as 1, that is the peak experience for the game)

    I am so tired of the game right now that I moved to a game that prioritizes winning over getting high kills (Valorant). The game is too casual right now (its just for the kills) unlike Valorant which is probably the FPS game with the highest competitive integrity right now. I am new to the game right now and there is no agent that you can play properly without some mastery unlike in Apex a lot of legends (Octane (especially with Revenant), Bloodhound, Seer, Caustic, and Gibraltar just to name a few) are too noob friendly and also the guns (L-Star, Rampage, Charge Rifle, Devotion (especially with Turbocharger) and R301 just to name a few also). Also, there are some annoying braindead legend combinations like the infamous RevTane (its nerfed now but still braindead)

    I also don't like the ranked system. There should be no "freebie rank" in any competitive game but in Apex the real ranked experience starts at Platinum. The consequence at losing in Bronze, Silver, and Gold is just not punishing. You can troll 5 straight games hotdrop and die first then on your 6th game you win the game and every "punishment" you had gets erased. On mid elo and high elo a lot of players just hide for RP until they can get an actual good game - making the system "grind over skill". A player who rats a lot and has horrendous aim and gamesense could get to Plat while a player who has decent aim and decent gamesense could be hardstuck gold because they take fights a lot and get 3rd partied a lot in the process. The ranked system doesn't promote playing smartly. You either rat, grief others while giving up your positioning, or be the one griefed.

    Lastly, the lack of content. Dry af. At this pace, the game is gonna die.

    This game was my favorite FPS at one point but it just stinks right now. I no longer grind it. There is just no reason to. I just play it casually and occasionally. Oh about Arenas. I forgot about it just like the majority of the playerbase.

    TL;DR = Probably has the worst servers in any multiplayer game right now. Ranked system is ass. Meta is braindead. Olympus and Kings Canyon are bad maps. Worlds Edge is good for ranked but also ass for pubs. Storm Point is boring af. Best BR? Yes. By far. Best FPS? No. By far    … Expand

    Even if you look beyond the inherent flaws of the nature of the product and objectively examine it what you find is a paper thin shell that amounts to little more than buggy "rooms" for people to create the content of interacting with other people.

    The apex of derivative concepts cobbled together to produce something 12% different than the sum of its various carbon copied, off the shelf parts.

    While it will undoubtedly get additional "keep you tethered to a leash" patches to smooth out rough edges and the most meager of content scraps to keep its Pavlovian player base coming back for more, ultimately there is not enough meat on its bones to compete with much more notable games that it leans on such as COD, Overwatch, PubG, Fortnite, Destiny, and the upcoming Anthem. The most it can hope for is much the same of the rest of the Titanfall franchise. Flash in the pan type fan base that flares up quickly and fades away under the glut of "the next big thing" type of releases vying to be a temporary distraction from the established "leaders" that ethletes will yoyo back to after they see what is different and not be compelled to give up their status in their chosen base esport.

    It basically is a PUBG clone with forced diversity to "sell" more. Not that much of diversity, because straight white males are nowhere to be found. So I can't "identify" as my character.

Every 4 seconds a connection error, rubber band, or about every other game the game crashes. I have high speed internet and great pings. I will change this to a 10 if the servers ever get fixed along with crashing. Right now i'm very disappointed. These problems render theIncredible game, flawless game play mechanics, great voice acting, amazing team shooter. Absolutely the worst servers.     EA has made an attempt to cash in on the popular trend that is Fortnite by rushing out their own Battle Royale. But unfortunately, this game is just a rushed attempt to steal some of Fortnites fame plauged with microtransactions and lootboxes, in classic EA style. Imagine Overwatch, but with only 1 mode and you have to purchase some heroes. It's abismal, and they could've done better.

    Apex Legends leva o excelente tiroteio de Titanfall 2, Battle Royale Mechanics de Fortnite e PUBG e o sistema de classes de Overwatch para criar uma das mais exclusivas, versáteis e robustas experiências de batalha real que o mercado atual oferece.

    É verdadeiramente um jogo que mantém você querendo jogar mais não apenas pelas caixas de saque, mas pela diversão de jogar o jogo.

The server tick time is beyond what should be even remotely acceptable for any FPS game.     The ping system is by far the game's greatest achievement. It allows you to communicate a wide array of information to your teammates with the simple press of a button. You no longer need to cross your fingers and hope everyone on your squad has a mic when jumping into a match with randoms. Apex Legends makes it surprisingly easy to coordinate without saying a single word. A good thing as the entire package is built around grouping up.

    You'll find no solo options here. It's you and two other people all the way. A concept that's made a little more interesting thanks to the 8 playable "Legends" characters (6 of which are available from the start) that each have their own unique abilities. With no one on your squad being able to select the same character it's up to you to choose the one that best complements whoever your teammates picked all while finding the one that best suits your playstyle.

    All of this mixed with the smaller player count compared to its contemporaries and Titanfall's excellent gunplay should have been an easy recipe for success. However, Apex Legends is something of an unpolished mess when it comes to server stability. Which means whenever I'm not suffering through an obscene amount of lag, I'm regularly losing my connection to the match all together just as things start to get good. Even when booting it up for the first time I can see the game struggling with simple character animations in the main menu. Obviously, this isn't an issue for everyone as I've seen plenty of people who have been able to climb high in the ranks, but I honestly don't believe that it's just my internet connection as I can play the technical dumpster fire that is Fallout 76 with next to no issues. As it stands, there are a lot of good ideas in this battle royale, but for me and others I'm sure it's currently in a state that's unplayable.    … Expand

    It was a great game when it first came out but the hackers have hit it hard with the aim bots and infinite health. Prior to hackers, this was a 9. Since the hackers and the absolutely abysmal "battle pass" which you pay $10 for and it's "big" prize for finishing is..... a gun skin for the havoc..... awful. Save your money, don't buy the battle pass.... it's a freakin money grab for crap offerings.

    In the end, I don't recommend this game unless you have two other friends who will group with you. The matchmaking is TERRIBLE, and it forces you to play against and with sweaty try hards. After two days I deleted the game off my system.

    I will consider playing again if they put in a solo mode, but as things are right now, I won't be playing this game again.    … Expand

    But hey, what do I know? Between the random CTDs every other game, and multitude of visual and audio issues i run into practically every game, it's hard to review a game I barely ever get to actually play.

    To go slightly more in depth, the super strong armour makes it take a long time to kill any one enemy, at any given time. Due to the sound of the gunfire going off for such a prolonged period you're giving your position away so you've usually got several people on you, okay if there's 3 of you, not when you're on your own. When you constantly get put with players who die upon landing this just leads to frustration. Most of the time the game is literally you vs all the other players. I find it quite idiotic that the developers didn't realise this would be the case before, seems quite stupid. We live in a world of division, forcing people to play together isn't going to unite the world it's just going to make people behave toxic, which is apparent every time you hear someone who is actually using a mic. When you do have players who stick together it can be enjoyable but you're still pretty much fighting each other the entire game for loot. Your so called team mates steal loot you got kills for, even sometimes after you have just revived them. All in all the game is highly addictive but it just doesn't cater to enough people. The only reason I hate it so much is because I know how potentially good it is, from the very few games I have had with squads who stay together, but it feels like it sort of blames you for having no friends to play with.    … Expand

    Others: The other things are actually what makes the game bad. For example, there is no solo, duo or team mode for ages after release. Just trio. And that just sucks. Furthermore, the game is almost not fed with updates at all. It still feels like the same gameplay to the release. Besides, nobody has to complain about overpriced skins in Fortnite. In Apex Legends the weapon skins or legends skins are much more expensive in comparison. You only buy one skin for one of many heroes for almost the same price as in Fortnite. And that's overpriced!

    Conclusion: Apex Legends is free, so theoretically everyone CAN play it. However, I cannot recommend this. I played Apex Legends for about 5h and I really didn't have any fun. The only thing I like to remember is the very smooth gameplay. No recommendation, play other Battle Royale games!    … Expand

The Ping system is groundbreaking and should be mirrored by all developers from now on. Couple that with amazing fast paced and crisp shooting experience and this review could turn into an 8 to 9 with a dropping of a serious content bomb of modes and map types but if these first months are a sign of things to come than we are looking at 2 to 3 years of further development to get the game to a state further then what can only be called the Demo game we currently have.… Expand

I love the variety and skill set of legends, the lore, I love king's canyon and the recent Grand Soirée event. Season 4 hit, however, and just about everything went downhill:

    1. You can no longer solo queue without playing death simulator. If    Incoming wall of text, thanks for reading if you choose to. I have around 700 hours in Apex. I made it to diamond during the first ranked season. I love the variety and skill set of legends, the lore, I love king's canyon and the recent Grand Soirée event. Season 4 hit, however, and just about everything went downhill:

    1. You can no longer solo queue without playing death simulator. If you choose to (and notably, your overall skill is above average), you'll find yourself in lobbies filled to the brim with three stacks/premades. There is just no way you, your random teammates xX420Gamer420Xx and SmolBoi1 can take on a three stack diamond/predator squad who are in a private chat over discord, treating a public match like scrims. Why solo players continue to face three stack/premades in Apex is beyond me. This is the biggest issue for me, because I have effectively quit playing because of this one attribute. Very disappointed that this gets ignored.

    2. SBMM isn't working. 1-5 seconds of so-called "matchmaking" is like throwing a pile of laundry at the floor and hoping they sort themselves into nicely folded piles. It has a higher chance of working for socks or undergarments, but it will never work for a dress shirt, for example. Higher players are all lumped together into lobbies (regardless of the skill gap between pros and above avg. players) because, again, 1-5 sec matchmaking doesn't create balanced lobbies at high skill levels.

    3. Bugs everywhere. The infamous "dashboarding" exploit (quitting ranked in a way that avoids RP loss) was in this game for 2 ranked series (7 months). Season 3 comes around, and they "soft fix" this issue, however, there's an entirely new bug that confuses one of your previous season's final rank with your current rank, creating two separate ranks for some players. At the most extreme, this hiccup places higher players in lower ranked lobbies, undermining ranked as a competitive mode. Let's see-- there's an invisibility bug where bangalore is invisible from the shoulders down from 20 yards away. Muzzle flash continues to blind players indoors while using iron sights (typically with an R99 or L-star). There is constant crashing on some PCs. There is no loss forgiveness if you quit a game early when you were not given teammates at the start. Footsteps cease to exist if too many sounds are present around you, meaning you could be healing and an enemy will drop 3 ft. behind you and you won't hear them. Pathfinder can zipline or run right next to you and you won't hear them. This leads to more frustrating randomness, will you hear an enemy this game or not?

    4. The worst servers I've seen in a game. 20-tick servers, constant lag = RNG as to who gets a hit reg and who doesn't. Every so often you get into a slow-mo servers, doubling each in-game second.

    5. Unbalanced weapons/legends. Peacekeeper regularly hits for 99 damage with a single shot, downing players with top armor in less than a second. G7 scout + light ammo (it was conveniently removed from the new sniper category this season) = players can spam shots at up to 20 bullets a clip, and all it takes is 3-4 headshots to down you (who in their right mind would choose a different rifle?). We've gone 2 seasons (7 months) without any changes to more than half of the legends, meanwhile Gibralter gets around 5 passives and continues to get inexplicably buffed. Pathfinder, Wraith, Wattson continue to be top contenders in games. Side note: if you make all of your changes based on the entire playerbase's data and never look at the competitive scene or above average lobbies, then you will get skewed ideas of what to buff/nerf each patch (not that there are any!).

    6. Communication and the iron crown fiasco. Some devs wouldn't hold their tongue and stooped down to the level of some (probably 13 year old) users on reddit, resulting in a public apology by Respawn's CEO. This just fanned the flames in my view. You can't have any dialogue on any of these social media platforms anymore. Do I blame the devs and not the ones who kept insulting them? Of course not. But some professionalism, etiquette, maturity goes a long way. Instead of engaging those who are most "toxic," engage those who are most willing to understand and are able to change their own views. Now, anyone who so much as errs on the side of (constructive) criticism is told to uninstall and play something else. This only hurts the game in the long run, because those of us who actually want the best are told to leave.

    tl;dr Season 0-2 - 9/10, all around fun and exciting ranked and pub games. Wide range of players to engage with, great communication from the devs.

    Season 4 - 3/10, can't even solo queue anymore due to being placed against three stacks almost every game. Rarely play more than 5 games before signing off and hoping we hear more from the devs.    … Expand

    Incredibly poor loot distribution, the worst I've seen in any BR.

    Bad matchmaking, where you will be matched with bad players to play against god-tier players.

    I liked this game. At least I did at first. But with the launch of season three and the change of maps, new weapons, and the the last 2 events I have to say that I hate this game now. The developers took a a fairly decently balanced, fast paced, in your face battle royale and turned it into a PUBG clone. The new map is to open and with the addition of the new charge rifle the combinationI liked this game. At least I did at first. The new map is to open and with the addition of the new charge rifle the combination basically means if you aren't hiding till the final circle your dead. I hate the super long sightlines and the constant third partying (which happens because if you don't run to sounds of gunfire you might not actually see anyone til final circle).

    The last to event (iron crown and shadowfall) have been super disappointing. The cosmetics are basically locked behind a paywall that can be up to 200 dollars. and while Armed and Dangerous was a fun mode I didn't think they would try and make it the main mode in season 3. Shadowfall should be named Shallowfail. it's super unbalanced and very repetitive. When they announced that King's Canyon would be coming back for the event I was stoked, and then I found out that Shadowfall is the only way to play it. Yawn. All in All I would say give this game a pass. At least for now.    … Expand

    Il peggio del peggio possibile. Questo apex è la peggior formula battle royale per i miei gusti. Noioso e con un pessima fase shooting, è risultata per me la peggior esperienza FPS degli ultimi anni. Aggiungo che la mappa è piccola e incolore e le meccaniche base del titolo sono terribili. Sconsigliato.

    Один баг за другим! Хависает подготовка члена команды, скины других игроков при выборе персонажей не отображаются. Игра хорошая

    Honestly, this game Used to be fun to play, Now it's just **** because how good the players are... SBMM is useless doesn't even do a thing, gives me players over 100th level (ofc Pro players) And some players are ofc very toxic, just ruins the fun...

The fact that this is considered a Titanfall spinoff is outrageous. Making a Titanfall game without titans is like making a war movie without the guns.     The game has become a complete **** it is not possible to play after the update. It throws up constantly, an error appears: "I can not connect to the EA server." I tried everything I could, reinstalled the game, reviewed a bunch of guides, the error is not fixed !!!! Developers, maybe already do something ??? There are a lot of complaints on the internet on this internet !!!!

    Season 6 is the worste season ever. Rushed and completely changed the whole game making it more like call of duty. TTK is a joke. WTF was respawn thinking **** the casual players they don't buy your cosmetics is mostly the pro players that do

    Actually testing a season with people instead of releasing it to the world full of gltiches would've been a good move thanks for making Tuesday feel like a Monday good job

    Purely from a gameplay perspective, it’s the best first person battle royale title out there, and well worth dipping into a year on. It’s disappointing that Titanfall 3 seems further away than ever, but for now Apex Legends will do just as well.

    Apex Legends spices up the battle royale formula with hero-based shooter pizazz and its revolutionary pinging system, which helps everyone feel welcome to the team. Though its Season One rollout has been disappointing content-wise and its visual flair remains bland, Apex Legends still has the solid foundation necessary for a free-to-play shooter to survive in the long run. And with 50 million players reached in its first month, it's not like it's slowing down anytime soon. We're all jumpmasters now.

    There are many free to play Battle Royale games out there that are vying for your attention, but Apex Legends takes the genre to new heights with its superb gunplay, Moreish game loop and a superb communication mechanic.
