Nov 27, 2016The definitive collection of the Amnesia games all in one package. They remain as terrifying today as they were when originally released. Mixing some puzzles with a narrative exploration game, this isn't a game full of action. However, the atmosphere is oppressive and unnerving which is exactly what we want from a horror game.
-
Nov 26, 2016Each game has a wicked atmospheric soundtrack, subtle creepy effects, and downright scary moments, though the first game will still be considered the best by many players. I personally enjoy all of them in their own way, but the gameplay and length is definitely preferred overall in Amnesia: Dark Descent. Visuals didn’t seem to get much of an upgrade from the PC but it does appear at least the first two games run at 60fps to match it.
-
Nov 22, 2016Amnesia: Collection brings the series of Frictional Games on PlayStation 4, an event that can not be ignored by all lovers of horror adventures. The Dark Descent and Justine alone are worth the price of admission, but also the inclusion of Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is a welcome move for those who want a different experience and more straightforward, although some bugs might have been avoided.
-
Nov 22, 2016This collection gives you an authentic horror experience: tense moments, a feeling of helplessness, and an environment you can’t help but exist in, even though you wish you were anywhere else.
-
Nov 22, 2016The gap was wide and had to be absolutely filled: after 6 years we see the arrival on PS4 of one of the most influential horror game of the modern times, Frictional's Amnesia: The Dark Descent, along with the expansion and the valuable spin-off by The Chinese Room. Grab it, if you love first person horror experiences.

-
Jan 13, 2017Amnesia: Collection does exactly what it set out to do: it presents three terrifying, fun, and intriguing genre-defining horror games in one uncomplicated package. It doesn’t offer any new content or significant visual upgrades from the original releases, and there are a few hiccups here and there, but it is still an unforgettable experience nonetheless. For any fan of first-person survival horror games, Amnesia: Collection is not something to be overlooked.

Playstation Official Magazine UKJan 3, 2017It's Lovecraftian genius: your imagination does the work, spinning up dread. [Jan 2016, p.114]

Dec 5, 2016The Amnesia: Collection presents the perfect time to jump in and experience the best kind of terror; that which crawls under your skin and leaves you with an uneasy feeling of dread.
-
Nov 29, 2016The definitive collection of Amnesia games. Even without new content or a graphic upgrade, all the titles of the saga are still terrifying. Simply a must buy for all fans of the genre.
-
Nov 23, 2016It’s a shame it isn’t a full remake, but The Dark Descent remains one of the most frightening and atmospheric video games ever made.
-
Nov 23, 2016Amnesia Collection is a must-have "trilogy" for those players who crave to indulge in the thrills of interactive horror.
-
Nov 23, 2016Despite some of its flaws and showing of age, Amnesia Collection is a great compilation of titles from a horror series that many newer horror games owe their own scares to. Though many of those games may be considered subjectively scarier than Amnesia, there’s a certain special spark that each Amnesia game ignites, unique as every one may be.
-
Nov 22, 2016Amnesia: The Collection proves why it’s one of the most imitated horror games of all time: it’s also one of the best. While there’s not a lot of new content for any returning players, if you haven’t played Amnesia, now’s the perfect time to change that.
-
Nov 22, 2016Amnesia Collection is the perfect opportunity for PS4 owners to embrace the horror created by Frictional Games. It contains the Dark Descent, its DLC Justine and A Machine for Pigs, and they are quite identical to the PC versions.
-
Nov 22, 2016The Amnesia series is one of the best horror franchises the medium has ever known. And the fact that the entirety of the series is now available on the PS4 is a win. The hide and seek gameplay holds up well, and while more could have been done with the visual presentation, the sound design is top-tier.
-
Nov 22, 2016The Amnesia Collection is, in some ways, a difficult one to recommend. Existing fans gain little new from it, and newcomers will possibly be seeing this as dated thanks to the many attempted copycats that have released in an around the time since this series began. Yet it’s a timely reminder of how well a slow-burning eldritch horror can be done in videogames. If you are a fan of Lovecraftian horror and you haven’t touched the Amnesia series, then I implore you to venture down into its depths.
-
Nov 22, 2016The main ailment that plagues the Amnesia series is its subject matter. It sounds far more damning a criticism than it ever ends up being, given that the games are there principally to scare you and impart a mood, a tone. The plots and characters are stretched to breaking point in more ways than one.
-
Nov 22, 2016A good collection with very different games. The tree episodes of the franchise are built on the same foundations but are quite different from each other, so it's hard to recommend it as a whole. In their unique ways, they are very good titles.
-
Jan 17, 2017A mixed bag. The Dark Descent's puzzles can be frustrating but overall, it's an excellent and engrossing horror experience. Justine is very short and rather throwaway while A Machine for Pigs is a big step down in quality from the original.
-
Dec 11, 2016Amnesia Collection gives you a reason to turn on all the lights in your house and look at cute pictures of kittens on social media more than once during a playthrough of these horror games.
-
Nov 27, 2016Amnesia: The Collection is a remaster with a few flaws, and quite an expensive launch price, but it's a must have for any horror fan once it is on sale.
-
Nov 23, 2016A great option if you did not have the chance to try both games on PC several years ago. Highly recommended if you are a horror and Lovecraft fan.
-
Dec 5, 2016I don’t like raining on anyone’s parade but it seems hard to believe that anyone will be scared by this stuff these days. It’s all so… hokey. But if you’re just itching to see what the commotion was all about with this series, and you can do so with a sensible understanding of context, the Amnesia Collection might be worth the investment.
-
Dec 26, 2016Players in the target audience for these titles (like me!) who’ve been waiting for this storied series to come to console will find the package worth exploring even if there’s only one real reason to buy in.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 12, 2017Amnesia Collection games would deserve greater attention during PS4 conversion. The first part grew old, the second was never worth much. Both games share the same problem with controls designed for keyboard and mouse. [Issue #270]
-
Nov 23, 2016The Amnesia Collection fails to revamp the original visuals and lacks the bonus content to entice existing fans. But for newcomers, this three-course dish of blood, guts and horror quickens the pulse like few other games can.
