Amnesia the collection is a good value bundle. The games are slow but very scary. Some puzzles that are challenging and actually to challenging at times. I admit i used guides some time to progress in the games. If you are looking for scary games and want several hours of gameplay buy this bundle!

Good game within the theme of horror games. Above all, it draws attention to the scenarios, lighting, history, sounds and the very atmosphere of the game. Essential collection if what you like is the horror and suspense genre.

However criticized it may be, to me the best game of the collection is A Machine for Pigs. It focuses more on narrative than on action, and I like that very much. It does not need more action, because it is a different type of experience. If it were for A Machine for pigs, I would give Amnesia a 9.

Nevertheless, Dark Descent and Justine hold the collection back. Justine is simply what it is: a very brief experience mostly focused on action (and quite frustrating because of the system of deaths). I do not really like it, though I admit that it has some good moments (the ending is quite nice), especially if you achieve to master gameplay.

And Dark Descent was a bit disappointing for me. The story is no match whatsoever for that of A Machine for Pigs, and gameplay is sometimes too confusing and not enjoyable. Of course it has good moments too, but i would not give Dark Descent (nor obviously Justine) more than a 7.

Overall, Amnesia Collection is a solid 8 and an advisable experience if you like horror games. A Machine for Pigs is an unappreciated jewel.

It is a good game, good remastering, But, it has some bugs, especially in the enemies (they get stuck in the walls) But everything else, sound, atmosphere, lighting ... Perfect.

These games are clearly not as scary as the games they inspired like Outlast or SOMA,
So while this may not be a must play to sh** bircks.. I still feel this is a must play collection for adventure fans, or someone that wants the history lesson of the series that took survival horror to the height that is today

It has great atmosphere; the visual design, the voice acting, writing, sound design, music, and insanity effects all come together to create a really cool vibe. But the actually gameplay is sad. Puzzles that are either really easy or involve searching around forever, or running away from things. That's it.

What a boring mess of a game... i was really hoping it would be better but finished the first game in the collection and it was boring the whole way true... the back story was great... i really wish that was the game you played, but its not, not mutch more to say, boring game, had potential, what a shame.

A really good horror game with an awesome story and creepy monsters chasing you on the way. While it took me a while to actually start playing, since it is really creepy at some points, the game is a true masterpiece and although the graphics can't compete with the AAA games out there, it is still an adventure to behold.

Good horror game. Stories are very deep and scary and scenarios are very well constructed.

The only problem is that in some parts the game duration extends for no reason making you go to the same rooms without giving you any clue of what actually you are searching for... Sometimes I had to search for some guides to progress... and that isn't scary, it's a little bit frustrating.
If you like horror games this bundle is perfect to keep you scared, intrigued and entertained.

Great classic horror game with a bleak and twisted story, and interesting morally ambiguous characters. Playing this game exposes oneself to not just fright scares, but a lot of uncomfortable emotions. This was crafted with love by people who know a lot about horror. The reason I can't rate it higher is that it's a clunky game. The engine is just functional, and monster encounters are more annoying than they are scary. They come out of nowhere, you can't really avoid them a lot of times, and the best way to deal with them is to get yourself killed so they despawn. This game has a great insanity mechanic btw. It's only second to Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.

    Machine for Pigs 7/10
Despite the lukewarm reception, I found Machine for Pigs to be almost as good as the original Amnesia. The game shares many similar conceits, as you take control of a character with a dodgy memory who is revealed over time to have a dark past that he shares with the main antagonist, an enemy that periodically speaks to you over the phone or through telepathy to give foreboding warnings or to mock you. The medieval/victorian occult settings of Dark Descent have been replaced by an ominous steampunk aesthetic, as you wander an enormous structure of pipes and machinery. My biggest worry was that they had toned down the dark part of this game, but it's almost as morbid and horrific in subject matter as the original. The main villian has a fascinatingly twisted psychology that marries a deep sense of nihilism about humanity with a savior complex. Monsters aren't as annoying or unavoidable as the first game. There's no sanity mechanic. Fewer moments of improvisational brilliance than the original. All in all, a strong effort.

    Justine 4/10
Compelling premise, but it's short, and very annoying. If you die you have to start over from the beginning. Terrible design decision.

Up to try any genre of games and sometimes I find something new that I didn't think I'd like. I own a PC (built by me), Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, PS3, PS4, PS5, and a Switch. I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of course influenced by my personal opinions.

    (6) Limited Appeal. Although there may be fans of games receiving this score, many will be left yearning for a more rewarding game experience.

It has a great atmospheric feeling, good insanity effect, and a story that is a good for a horror game. Voice acting is good too. It’s supposed to be a survival horror game but you’re never actually in danger and the darkness, and enemies are just annoying. The second game does fix this by being more of an adventure horror game but still not well rounded. I felt pretty bored most of the time playing these games and wished I just watched some play it on YouTube just for the story.

A mixed bag. The Dark Descent's puzzles can be frustrating but overall, it's an excellent and engrossing horror experience. Justine is very short and rather throwaway while A Machine for Pigs is a big step down in quality from the original.

Amnesia: Collection does exactly what it set out to do: it presents three terrifying, fun, and intriguing genre-defining horror games in one uncomplicated package. It doesn’t offer any new content or significant visual upgrades from the original releases, and there are a few hiccups here and there, but it is still an unforgettable experience nonetheless. For any fan of first-person survival horror games, Amnesia: Collection is not something to be overlooked.
